“Right here
In the moment
Don’t look where we’re going
Slow down
Slow the motion
If we don’t die young
If we don’t die young”
“Stay,” 2023

NYC-based trio NEVRLANDS deliver a sonic blend of in-your-face rock n roll with grooving alternative rock and captivating pop-punk melodies on their as-yet-untitled forthcoming debut full-length LP due this fall via Better Noise Music. Aiming to provide listeners with relatable lyrics that provide a positive escape from life’s struggles, NEVRLANDS released the effervescent new single “Stay” today (June 23) across digital platforms. Listen HERE and watch its lyric video streaming below.

“‘Stay’ is a song all about capturing that true essence of the perfect moment,” shares the band collectively. “It’s about being present during those core memory moments in our lives and not wanting them to end just yet. About wanting to enjoy that perfect moment with your loved ones for just a little bit longer before it disappears forever. ‘Stay,’ for us, is the beautifully painted portrait about a moment you wish could last forever.”

NEVRLANDS—vocalist OKAN KAZDAL, guitarist LOUIE MALPELI, and drummer MIKEY PITTELLI—produce, compose and write their own music, finding inspiration from their own personal introspective experiences including love, loss, struggle, triumph, strength, mental health, and self-acceptance. The trio embrace forward-thinking adaptions and methods to create their music such as using nontraditional instrumentation and samples as heard on their 2016 debut single “Rescue Me.” The band have captivated audiences online with their unique live recorded video versions of James Corden’s “Carpool Karaoke” covering artists such as Dua Lipa and The Weeknd in a Tesla using real instruments and Tesla Trax software. NEVRLANDS have also won over audiences across the country with their vibrant, upbeat energy having previously appeared on Vans Warped Tour and tours alongside Allstar Weekend and Jake Miller.

Today, June 23, breakout country-rock star CORY MARKS shares his patriotic new song “Snowbirds,” inspired by the Snowbirds air demonstration team, and his own passion for flying. The song is available now via Better Noise Music and across all streaming platforms here: https://corymarks.ffm.to/snowbirds.

Produced by Kevin Churko (Ozzy Osbourne, Five Finger Death Punch, Papa Roach, Shania Twain), “Snowbirds” is a powerful, anthemic track that features CORY’s unique talent of mixing country music with rock elements. As a licensed pilot, CORY dedicated the track to the Canadian Forces Snowbirds, who, for over 52 years, have proudly upheld the legacy of military aviation excellence as Canada’s elite air demonstration team.

The official “Snowbirds” music video showcases CORY performing the song in both English and French language, combined with breath-taking close-ups and rarely seen angles from recent Snowbirds demonstrations, and footage from CORY‘s flight with the Snowbirds in 2017. The result is an exhilarating, better-than-front-row seat for a Snowbirds show that fans could ever hope for. Watch the music video streaming below or directly via YouTube here.

“I’ve been a fan of the Snowbirds since I was a kid and always will be,” says CORY. “When I started my music career, I was attending the Royal Military College of Canada enrolled as a pilot, hoping to become a Snowbird one day,’ CORY shares. “Working with the Snowbirds team is a true inspiration and I’m extremely proud and humbled to have my song played during their demonstrations across North America in the 2023 season.”

Walking the fine line between outlaw country and hard rock, the North Bay, ON native is undoubtedly himself, not just as a musician, but as a person. Growing up, CORY developed passions for hockey, flying, and playing the drums like his hero, Rush’s Neil Peart, before he began performing live music at a local bar while studying to become a fighter pilot.

In 2019, he released his hit single “Outlaws and Outsiders,” featuring legendary artists Mick Mars (Motley Crue), Travis Tritt and Ivan Moody (Five Finger Death Punch), which recently received Platinum certification in Canada. The track achieved great success, reaching Top 10 on the US Rock Radio charts#3 on German Rock Radio and peaked at #12 on the Canadian Rock charts. The single now has over 123 million streams worldwide, adding to CORY’s 188 million total global streams to date. 2020 saw the release of CORY’s critically acclaimed album WHO I AM, spawning fan favorites like Devil’s Grin and “Blame It On The Double”. In 2022, CORY made his feature film debut with a part in the horror-thriller The Retaliators alongside Better Noise labelmates Five Finger Death PunchThe HUEva Under Fire and Jacoby Shaddix from Papa Roach.

Most recently, CORY released his 6-track EP I RISE, channeling his prowess for songwriting along with the intense training, determination, patience and grit to become a certified pilot. He also hit the road with his band in support of the EP on a massive US arena tour with Five Finger Death Punch and Brantley Gilbert.

ABOUT CORY MARKS:
In 2019, Billboard deemed Cory Marks’ top 10 Rock Radio single “Outlaws and Outsiders” (which features country music icon Travis Tritt, Ivan Moody of Five Finger DeathPunch, and Mick Mars of Motley Crue) the “hit that couldn’t be confined”. The same statement could be said about Cory himself, who has exploded onto airwaves and tour stages over the past few years, establishing himself as a forefather of the popular Country Rock Fusion sound that has become so popular with artists like Hardy, Bailey Zimmerman and Brantley Gilbert storming the charts in 2022 and 2023. Mixing the storytelling tradition of country music and the loud, unapologetic sounds of heavy rock; Cory’s music blasts with an aggressive, soulful edge.  2020 saw the release of his critically acclaimed debut album WHO I AM – spawning fan favorites like “Devil’s Grin” and “Blame It On The Double”. In 2021 Cory released his complimentary EPs “Nashville Nights” and “Nashville Mornings” and in 2022 Cory released his rock-focused “I Rise” EP on the heels of his feature-film debut in “The Retaliators” with Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach, and labelmates Five Finger Death Punch, The HU, and Eva Under Fire. Despite his recent achievement of eclipsing 188 million career streams and a Platinum certification in his home country of Canada for “Outlaws & Outsiders”, Cory remains grounded and grateful. Rooted in the influence of his hometown in North Bay, Ontario, where he grew up surrounded by its salt-of-the-earth residents, Cory is undoubtedly himself, not just as a musician, but as a person. He continues to be influenced by the acts that drew him to writing and performing in the first place: Bryan Adams, The Rolling Stones, Deep Purple, Rush, Ozzy Osbourne, Brad Paisley and most notably Merle Haggard, who Cory embodies in his own 21st century way.

#1 Active Rock radio-charting British rock outfit ASKING ALEXANDRIA have established themselves as one of the most important rock bands of this generation through years of hard touring, four RIAA Gold-certified singles, two #1 albums and several Top 10 hits. The band—Ben Bruce (lead guitar), Danny Worsnop (vocals), Cameron Liddell (rhythm guitar), Sam Bettley (bass) and James Cassells (drums)—will release their anticipated eighth full-length studio album WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE? this fall via Better Noise Music. The album’s debut track “Dark Void” was released in May and saw the band return to their metalcore beginnings has already amassed 5 million streams and 1 million video views to date. ASKING ALEXANDRIA have today (June 16) shared the album’s electrified first official radio single “Psycho” along with releasing the vindictive, heavy-hitting track “Bad Blood across digital platforms. Stream both tracks HERE. Watch the “Psycho” music video below or directly via YouTube HERE.

“‘Psycho’ is one of those songs that is talking about when you feel trapped inside your own head, trapped by your own vices and your own downfalls,” explains BRUCE. “Whether it’s being stuck in a relationship that doesn’t work for you, or feeling like you can’t stop drinking or doing drugs, or maybe you’re stuck in a job that you hate, and you’re just battling yourself in your own head wondering ‘why am I still here? Why do I keep doing these things?’. Ultimately, at the end of the day we all feel a little bit crazy…a little bit like a Psycho. It’s just a fun song that we can all relate to, and stylistically we thought to ourselves ‘how do we make a song that sounds like it could live on the ‘Like A House On Fire’ album, but also like it could live on the ‘From Death to Destiny’ album?’. So musically, from a writing standpoint, it was a really enjoyable experience to meld those two eras of Asking Alexandria together and see what that might look like.”

Earlier this week ASKING ALEXANDRIA announced a co-headlining tour with THE HU, the acclaimed Mongolian rock sensation and Better Noise Music labelmates. The “Psycho Thunder” tour will kick off this fall and also includes labelmates Bad Wolves and opening act Zero 9:36. Tickets are on sale now at https://www.askingalexandria.com. The UK-based rockers will make their way overseas in July for three festival appearances—Rock Fest (WI), Inkcarceration Festival (OH) and Louder Than Life (KY)—before the co-headlining tour commences August 30 in San Antonio, TX. Throughout the trek, which ends October 8 in Los Angeles, ASKING ALEXANDRIA will appear on additional festival dates including Rocklahoma (OK), Blue Ridge Rock Festival (VA), and Louder Than Life (KY). Rock & Blues Muse praised the record in their (6/7/23) review, stating: “The band uses its alternative rock base to explore new textures, melodies, and the individual influences of each member. The result of this recipe is 11 tracks of fresh, tough-toned rock music full of top-flight vocals, guitar ideas, and an intense desire to not sound like any other band. Crashing Wayward has the dual gifts of outstanding creative instincts and full control of the power of rock and roll. They’re one of the most vital and alive new bands you’ll check out in 2023 or any other year. Crank them up and feel the heat for yourself.”

LISTEN!
Track-by-Track Breakdown by Peter Summit

1. Mouth To God’s Ear
– “Mouth To God’s Ear,” was inspired by just that phrase, “Mouth To God’s Ear,” and when David Harris presented the music to this track, it wrote itself. It’s really an anthem about the ending of hate.”

2. Closer
– “‘Closer’ is really about obsession or an unhealthy relationship, the control that someone has within that relationship and over somebody. So, it really speaks to unhealthy relationships romantically.”

3. Stranger Days
– “‘Stranger Days” really captures self-reflection of love or a life past. It was inspired by the surrealism that love chemically can paint or portray in one’s mind.“

4. Disco Kills
– “‘Disco Kills’ is a political anthem using metaphors of the disco and rock era of the late 70’s. It is not about disco music; it’s more about the abuse of political power.”

5. Shake the Dead Awake
– “‘Shake the Dead Awake’ is about the birth of punk rock and transition into post-punk of 70’s New York City, specifically inspired by CBGB’s.”

6. Tilly
– “‘Tilly’ was written about a close friend who took her own life due to the emotional abuse she suffered from her boyfriend.”

7. Staring at Ceilings
– “‘Staring at Ceilings’ is everything about isolation, especially isolation within the struggles of mental illness.”

8. Death on Holiday
– “‘Death on Holiday’ was the first song that we wrote as a band. It’s about political turmoil and is really about the end of a war. ‘Death On Holiday’ IS sending death on vacation.”

9. Paper Airplane Heart
– “‘Paper Airplane Heart’ is really about personal struggles and making it through another day and in hopes that one sees that everything does get better.”

10. Breathe
– “‘Breathe’ is really about intolerance and inclusion for all. It is to let everybody know that we see you and we hear you.”

11. Velvets Drawn
– “‘Velvets Drawn’ is possibly one of the most personal songs in the entire album. It’s about someone that was very close to the inner circle of the band. It is our way of letting her know that she was always thought of and will always be remembered.”

“I’m dying in the light when I see the children cry
In the bright of bombs! Bombs! Bombs!”
What’s the Holy (Nobel) Today?” by VOICE OF BACEPROT

Indonesian all-girl rock trio VOICE OF BACEPROT are not ones to shy away from tackling difficult topics surrounding global affairs. The group have faced opposition since their beginnings from conservative Muslims because they perform heavy rock/metal music while wearing hijabs and because of their gender which inspired their ground-breaking, critically acclaimed singles such as “God, Allow Me (Please) to Play Music,” “[NOT] PUBLIC PROPERTY” and “PMS.”

Following the May release of their socially conscious single “The Enemy of Earth Is You,” VOICE OF BACEPROT deliver a fierce anthem against war with their volcanic new single “What’s the Holy (Nobel) Today?” out today, June 15, digitally. Taken from their upcoming debut album RETAS arriving July 13 via 12WIRED, the breathlessly paced track picks up the rallying cry of Rage Against The Machine with a mesmerizing, insistent guitar riff and plea from vocalist/guitarist Marsya, bassist Widi, and drummer Sitti denouncing the numerous wars ravaging the world, all of which are tearing apart the lives of countless innocent people. Listen to “What’s the Holy (Nobel) Today?” streaming now below or at https://li.sten.to/whats-the-holy-nobel-today.

“One of the most gut-wrenching topics that drains us emotionally are the horrors of war,” shares Marsya. “The biggest casualties of wars are always civilians, mostly women and children. This song made us dream that perhaps one day, our united voice in rejecting war could be heard by the world. Our dream has always been to be a part of that voice, shouting against war regardless of its reasoning.”

“You can read what the single is really about between the lines,” says Sitti. “We wanted to express our experience of being trapped in a ‘war’ of our own, one which involved us being bullied on social media. People would attack us with such intense fury through negative comments even though we have never shown aggression towards anyone.”

“With ‘What’s the Holy (Nobel) Today?’ we are declaring that no positives can be taken from any war, wars separate and destroy,” exclaims Widi. “There is a political war just around the corner: the Indonesian presidential election. During previous elections, we were segregated from one another and turned against each other, even those from our closest social circle. We should learn not to let it happen again.”

VOICE OF BACEPROT are excited to spread their music and engage activism with audiences across the globe. The trio recently announced their first-ever U.S. tour later this summer from August 3 to 19 which includes a stop at Head In The Clouds Los Angeles festival. The headlining run will see the band bring their energized live performance to club stages across several major music markets including Los Angeles, New York and Chicago. 3X GRAMMY-NOMINATED ROCK GROUP
TO JOIN GODSMACK & STAIND
ON NORTH AMERICAN CO-HEADLINING RUN THIS SUMMER
(JULY 18 – AUGUST 31)

(Credit: Christian Lawrence)

After pulverizing stages across North America on the first leg of their headlining “SPIRITS 2023” tour earlier this spring, including sold-out shows in NYC, Philadelphia, Sacramento and Toronto, 3x Grammy-nominated rockers NOTHING MORE will continue to bring their potent live experience to audiences throughout 2023.Following their return from headlining shows and festival appearances across Europe, NOTHING MORE will join fellow Top 10 rock acts Godsmack and Staind on their North American co-headlining trek from July 18 to August 31. Next, they’ll launch the second U.S. leg of their “SPIRITS 2023” headlining tour this fall with support from DEAD POET SOCIETY, HYRO THE HERO (rap-rocker and Better Noise Music labelmate), and POST PROFIT. Starting July 23 in Albany, NY at The Fillmore Charlotte, the produced by Live Nation tour will stretch across the South before making its final stop at The Fillmore Charlotte in Charlotte, NC on September 25. Tickets go on sale this Friday, June 16 at 10:00 A.M. local time at https://nothingmore.net/. See below for a list of all upcoming shows.

On their new album SPIRITS, NOTHING MORE combine unapologetically massive anthems, catchy hooks, and progressive music with introspective, philosophical lyrics and thought-provoking emotionalism. The album documents the tumultuous time the world experienced over the past two years, capturing the desperation and isolation of lockdown, the spiral of substance abuse, the pain of broken relationships, and survival in self-reliance. These concepts were further explored with the development of their very own meta-personality test, SPIRITS TEST, designed by frontman Jonny Hawkins—similar to tests such as Myers-Briggs, Big 5 and the Zodiac—which results in finding out one’s “Spirit Type,” one of seven personality characters based on the test’s results. The “Spirit Types” and their origin story are further detailed in the band’s first-ever graphic novel “SPIRITS VOL.1” out now via Z2 Comics.

NOTHING MORE recently shared a new version of SPIRITS heartfelt single “Best Times” featuring Lacey Sturm (Flyleaf). Watch the music video HERE

To coincide with the tour announcement, NOTHING MORE will drop a limited-edition reverse artwork translucent smoke variant vinyl version of SPIRITS along with a new “Fuse” SPIRIT TYPE t-shirt. These will be offered individually or bundled together with the “SPIRITS VOL.1” graphic novel, in addition to a limited number of hand-signed bundles being offered. See all the new merch options available at https://store.nothingmore.net/.

Formed out of Los Angeles nearly 15 years ago, heavy metal outfit BUTCHER BABIES have consistently brought their crushing riffs and vicious vocals to audiences across the globe with their relentless tour schedule and previous releases. Marking the 10-year anniversary of their debut 2013 album Goliath (Century Media) this July, the band have prepared some of their most personal and in-depth work to date for their anticipated forthcoming double album EYE FOR AN EYE… and …‘TIL THE WORLD’S BLIND both due July 7. The project was announced last month along with the new single/music video “Red Thunder,” a return to the band’s metalcore and thrash roots. Pre-order’s for EYE FOR AN EYE… and …‘TIL THE WORLD’S BLIND are available now on cd and vinyl at https://butcherbabiesmerch.com/. Find further details below about the double album including cover art and track listing.

“It’s been exactly 10 years since the release of our debut album ‘Goliath’ that sent us into a decade of ups and downs that we wouldn’t trade for the world,” announces co-vocalist HEIDI SHEPHERD. “In celebration, we’re unleashing a well-overdue, double album that pulls in the influences and growing pains we have experienced in our successes and failures. This double album is our yin and yang; our blood pact.”

Co-vocalist CARLA HARVEY reveals that “Each album was recorded in a vastly different climate that I’m certain gave each its own distinct vibe.  ‘Eye For An Eye…’ was made in a sun-drenched Arizona desert, while during the recording of ‘…’Til The World’s Blind,’ the band was holed up, making music in the dead of winter in Midland, Michigan. You can hear the warmth in ‘Eye for an Eye…’ and the cold desolation in ‘…‘Til The World’s Blind.’ Together they encompass light and dark, fire and ice.  And in my opinion, you need both elements to make something truly great.”

Today, June 9, BUTCHER BABIES have released the melancholic and harrowing new single “Last December” (which appears on …‘TIL THE WORLD’S BLIND) across all digital platforms. The intimate song was co-produced by BUTCHER BABIES guitarist Henry Flury and Josh Schroeder (Lorna Shore, In Hearts Wake) at Random Awesome Studios. Stream/download “Last December” at https://bfan.link/last-december. Stay tuned in the next week or so for its music video premiere.

ANNOUNCES NEW ALBUM
‘BOUND FOR GLORY’
DUE SEPTEMBER 15 VIA BETTER NOISE MUSIC
PRE-ORDER’S AVAILABLE NOW

Credit: Romaine Scortatore

Disruptive rap-rocker HYRO THE HERO has released a thunderous new single, “Sho Nuff,” today, June 9, across all digital platforms. Inspired by one of his favorite movies, the 1985 martial arts comedy The Last Dragon, the video for “Sho Nuff” was was filmed at a movie theater in Nantes, FR (where HYRO currently resides) with director Valentin Clemot and parodies scenes from the film. Stream/download “Sho NuffHERE. Watch the music video streaming below or directly via YouTube HERE.

“‘Sho Nuff’ is an action-packed movie full of huge explosions and abuzz with activity,” says HYRO of the song. “It’s self-esteem put on record inspired by one of my favorite movies as a kid, ‘The Last Dragon.’ I’ve always wanted to make a song that exuded the confidence of Sho’nuff and the heroism portrayed by Bruce Leroy.

This song is all about attitude,” HYRO adds. “I was in the zone at the moment of recording, so I didn’t even write, I freestyled this whole song. The place I feel comfortable and confident is in front of the microphone with amazing music. I felt like Godzilla, so I rapped about being Godzilla. I felt I got that glow like Bruce Leroy did, so I had to stamp it with the words ‘Sho Nuff.’ Matt Good helped create the perfect music to allow me to do that.”

HYRO is also excited to announce his new full-length album, BOUND FOR GLORY, will be released on September 15 via Better Noise Music. The 12-track album will be his third release and was recorded and produced by Matt Good (Asking Alexandria, Hollywood Undead). It will include “Sho Nuff” and his recently released single “Head Under Water (feat. REDDSTAR & Dan Sugarman of Ice Nine Kills).” Pre-order BOUND FOR GLORY now at https://hyrothehero.ffm.to/boundforglory.

On the motivation for his new album, HYRO shares, “It’s been a long journey to try and achieve my dreams in music. The failures I’ve faced along the way are scars that heal and teach lessons. Sometimes you may have to go through fires, climb mountains, go face-to-face with enemies and maybe even leap tall buildings in a single bound. But somehow you keep going no matter what difficulties may arise because a fire inside is the energy that drives you, and a voice inside keeps letting you know that you’re Bound For Glory. My album is that voice and that fire is the music on this record.”
