Gold-certified British rock frontrunners ASKING ALEXANDRIA are kickstarting the new year with a new EP highlighting the debut single, “Dark Void,” from their 2023 critically acclaimed album WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE? via Better Noise Music. Available today, January 12, across digital platforms, the DARK VOID EP features five tracks including the original version of “Dark Void” along with a new radio edit, a stripped-down piano version, and a Sullivan King-remixed version. The emotive and empowering single relates to those battling with mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, and loneliness, while acknowledging the strength it takes to confront one’s inner demons and fight off negative thoughts.

“Blue Monday is coming up this Monday, January 15,” relays ASKING ALEXANDRIA bassist SAM BETTLEY. “Unfortunately, it’s that time of the year again where a lot of us, including myself, are facing depression, anxiety, and loneliness. I can’t stress enough how much music has helped me through these dark times. Our song ‘Dark Void’ gives an insight into how crippling these feelings can be. So put it on, turn it up, and let it be a reminder that you aren’t alone and together we can make it through!”

The DARK VOID EP also includes the fan-favored electronic-tinged album track “Nothing Left” which ASKING ALEXANDRIA have highlighted with a new lyric video aligning with the EP’s release. Watch it streaming via YouTube HERE.

British rock luminaries ASKING ALEXANDRIA are excited to announce their current single “Psycho” has landed a No.1 spot on Mediabase’s Active Rock radio charts this week and has consecutively stayed at the #1 position on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock charts for the third week in a row.

Having received over 2 million streams and 1 million video views the electrifying track is taken from their critically acclaimed eighth album, WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?, released in August via Better Noise Music. ASKING ALEXANDRIABen Bruce (lead guitar), Danny Worsnop (vocals), Cameron Liddell (rhythm guitar), Sam Bettley (bass) and James Cassells (drums)—previously earned their first #1 rock radio single with 2021’s “Alone Again” from their debut release via Better Noise Music, See What’s On The Inside and have established themselves as one of the most important rock bands of this generation through years of hard touring, four RIAA Gold-certified singles, two #1 albums and several Top 10 hits.

“Thank you so much to everyone who has listened and is listening to this song and a huge thank you to everyone behind the scenes helping it climb the charts and reach new audiences,” states ASKING ALEXANDRIA lead guitarist BEN BRUCE. “It’s exciting reaching new goals and it wouldn’t be possible without our amazing team and our incredible fans. Thank you all so much.”

WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE? was produced and mixed by Matt Good (Hollywood Undead, From First To Last), and mastered by Howie Weinberg (Deftones, Metallica) and Will Borza. The album is a culmination of the band’s career, melding their flagship sound with experimental electronics while its lyrics cover the band’s trademark themes of disenchantment, loss, anxiety, and dejection. WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE? is available now on CD, cassette, vinyl and digital download at https://askingalexandria.ffm.to/wdwgfh.

“Brit metal heroes Asking Alexandria dive into their deep bag of influences for an accomplished and gripping eighth studio offering … veering from blast furnace metalcore to surprisingly deft melodic arrangements with apparent ease.”
Kerrang! (8/22)

A heady cocktail of energy, anthems, stomps, choruses, riffs, chugs, electro-pulses, great dynamics… ‘Where Do We Go From Here?’ feels like a band all in the zone and up for re-planting their flag. And this isn’t a free-for-all, the overall tone across the album is emphatic, vibrant contemporary rock, but with a little more shaking it up than for a little while.

ASKING ALEXANDRIA recently wrapped a co-headlining tour across the U.S. with Better Noise Music labelmates THE HU which saw the band perform at several major rock festivals including Rocklahoma, Louder than Life and Blue Ridge Rock Festival. KNAC praised their performance stating: “Asking Alexandria hit the stage will all of the excitement and raw energy that their fans have come to expect. Touring in support of their new album ‘Where Do We Go From Here?’ the setlist included new songs as well as some of their older and heavier favorites, giving everyone something to savor. As he (Worsnop) transitioned from melodies to screams, his voice remained flawless.”

British rock luminaries ASKING ALEXANDRIA have spent the past 15 years garnering two #1 albums, four RIAA Gold-certified singles and a #1 Active Rock radio-charting single among several Top 10-landing hits. The band have established themselves as one of the most important rock groups of this generation through years of hard touring, supporting massive bands like Breaking Benjamin, Shinedown, Slipknot, Godsmack, and Korn; co-headlining with Nothing More and Black Veil Brides and later this month The HU; and headlining multiple head-turning treks, breathlessly reported on in numerous magazine cover stories.

On their new album WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE? that’s out today (August 25) via BETTER NOISE MUSIC, ASKING ALEXANDRIADanny Worsnop (vocals), Ben Bruce (lead guitar), Cameron Liddell (guitar), Sam Bettley (bass), and James Cassells (drums)—offer reverence to touchstone icons like Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, and Queen, with a relentless urgency harkening back to their early days as hard-partying Warped Tour upstarts. It’s available now via digital download or physically on CD, cassette, or multiple color vinyl at https://askingalexandria.ffm.to/wdwgfh.

“This eighth studio album features some undeniably catchy songwriting and a much sought-after nod to their more aggressive past. It also achieves something fans have craved for a long time: glimpses of the heaviness that made this inherently emotional band so beloved in the first place.”
Metal Hammer (August 2023)

WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE? was produced and mixed by Matt Good (Hollywood Undead, From First To Last), and mastered by Howie Weinberg (Deftones, Metallica) and Will Borza. The album is a culmination of the band’s career, melding their flagship sound with experimental electronics while its lyrics cover the band’s trademark themes of disenchantment, loss, anxiety, and dejection. Its first official radio single “Psycho” was launched in June alongside the heavy-hitting track “Bad Blood.” “Psycho” was the #1 Most Added and #1 Most Increased Played Track at Active Rock radio for two consecutive weeks and is currently charting in the Top 10 at #7. It followed the May release of WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?’s debut track “Dark Void” which has over 1.6 million video views and more than 10 million streams to date.

ASKING ALEXANDRIA have today shared a new music video for the album’s anthemic track “Let Go” which was directed by Wombat. Watch it streaming below or directly on YouTube HERE.

“‘Let Go’ is one of my favorite songs we’ve ever written,” exclaims BRUCE. “It’s a powerful anthem about finding your own peace within yourself and being able to walk away and ‘let go’ of a past relationship. Life has hurdles for us all to jump over. It’s how we grow and how we learn and become stronger, and this song is about leaping over one of those hurdles we all face.”

On August 30, ASKING ALEXANDRIA will kick off the “Psycho Thunder” co-headlining U.S. tour with Mongolian rock sensation THE HU and support from Bad Wolves and Zero 9:36. The tour stretches through October 8 and ends in Los Angeles, CA, encompassing performances at some of fall’s largest rock festivals including Blue Ridge Rock Festival, Rocklahoma, and Louder Than Life. ASKING ALEXANDRIA have announced an initiative to help combat hunger inequalities by partnering with a local food bank in each city on the “Psycho Thunder” tour and are requesting that fans attending the shows bring a non-perishable food item to donate which will be collected at identified locations at each venue. Following the shows, donations will be collected by local food banks to help those in need in the local community as the colder months in the calendar approach. “‘Where Do We Go From Here?’ Is the culmination of our entire journey as a band,” shares lead guitarist Ben Bruce. “We worked really hard to incorporate every aspect of what our fans love about Asking Alexandria. We have taken elements from every single record we have ever written and pieced them all together to create one album. Our fans will find elements from ‘Stand Up and Scream,’ such as the synth-tinged breakdown on ‘Things Could Be Different,’ all the way through to ‘See What’s On The Inside’ on this album. Lyrically, the album explores themes of loss and struggle through to hope and finding your own inner strength. We are incredibly proud of this album, and we can’t wait for everyone to hear it.”

#1 Active Rock radio-charting British rock outfit ASKING ALEXANDRIA have established themselves as one of the most important rock bands of this generation through years of hard touring, four RIAA Gold-certified singles, two #1 albums and several Top 10 hits. The band—Ben Bruce (lead guitar), Danny Worsnop (vocals), Cameron Liddell (rhythm guitar), Sam Bettley (bass) and James Cassells (drums)—will release their anticipated eighth full-length studio album WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE? this fall via Better Noise Music. The album’s debut track “Dark Void” was released in May and saw the band return to their metalcore beginnings has already amassed 5 million streams and 1 million video views to date. ASKING ALEXANDRIA have today (June 16) shared the album’s electrified first official radio single “Psycho” along with releasing the vindictive, heavy-hitting track “Bad Blood across digital platforms. Stream both tracks HERE. Watch the “Psycho” music video below or directly via YouTube HERE.

“‘Psycho’ is one of those songs that is talking about when you feel trapped inside your own head, trapped by your own vices and your own downfalls,” explains BRUCE. “Whether it’s being stuck in a relationship that doesn’t work for you, or feeling like you can’t stop drinking or doing drugs, or maybe you’re stuck in a job that you hate, and you’re just battling yourself in your own head wondering ‘why am I still here? Why do I keep doing these things?’. Ultimately, at the end of the day we all feel a little bit crazy…a little bit like a Psycho. It’s just a fun song that we can all relate to, and stylistically we thought to ourselves ‘how do we make a song that sounds like it could live on the ‘Like A House On Fire’ album, but also like it could live on the ‘From Death to Destiny’ album?’. So musically, from a writing standpoint, it was a really enjoyable experience to meld those two eras of Asking Alexandria together and see what that might look like.”

Earlier this week ASKING ALEXANDRIA announced a co-headlining tour with THE HU, the acclaimed Mongolian rock sensation and Better Noise Music labelmates. The “Psycho Thunder” tour will kick off this fall and also includes labelmates Bad Wolves and opening act Zero 9:36. Tickets are on sale now at https://www.askingalexandria.com. The UK-based rockers will make their way overseas in July for three festival appearances—Rock Fest (WI), Inkcarceration Festival (OH) and Louder Than Life (KY)—before the co-headlining tour commences August 30 in San Antonio, TX. Throughout the trek, which ends October 8 in Los Angeles, ASKING ALEXANDRIA will appear on additional festival dates including Rocklahoma (OK), Blue Ridge Rock Festival (VA), and Louder Than Life (KY). ASKING ALEXANDRIA today (Friday, May 12) share “Dark Void,” the first preview of music from their as-yet-untitled full-length studio album due this fall via Better Noise Music. Available now digitally HERE, “Dark Void” presents contrasting themes of melancholy and aspiration of day-to-day life in the modern world, while seamlessly blending the band’s anthemic stadium rock sound with a call back to their metalcore beginnings. Watch the music video for “Dark Void” streaming below or directly via YouTube HERE.

“With the world seemingly getting darker and darker, it’s easy to see why so many of us struggle with anxiety, depression, loneliness,” relays guitarist BEN BRUCE. “This song is about fighting those demons that live in your head and trying your hardest to be your own savior. Finding that inner strength to pull yourself out of the darkness.”

“This theme is explored throughout the entirety of our upcoming album. We all have our own struggles and hurdles. We are all on our own journeys that present unique challenges and difficulties, but we all have our own inner strength to fall back on. There is always light at the end of the tunnel. I feel that there can be comfort in knowing that we aren’t alone. We all feel a little down from time to time. We all feel a little lost from time to time, but somehow, in some way, we are all in this together and hopefully our new album can help people through some of their toughest times.”

ASKING ALEXANDRIABEN BRUCE (lead guitars), DANNY WORSNOP (vocals), CAMERON LIDDELL (rhythm guitars), SAM BETTLEY (bass) and JAMES CASSELLS (drums)—have relentlessly toured across the globe in addition to being showcased at several of rock’s top worldwide festivals including Download Festival (UK), Hellfest (FR), Graspop (BE), Aftershock (US) and many more. They will spend the summer touring across Europe before heading stateside in July for three festival appearances: Rock Fest (7/14, WI), Inkcarceration Festival (7/15, OH) and Louder Than Life (7/21, KY).

Having joined Better Noise Music in 2021 with the release of their critically acclaimed album See What’s On The Inside, ASKING ALEXANDRIA subsequently achieved their first-ever #1 Active Rock radio single “Alone Again” and a follow-up Top 10 single with “Never Gonna Learn” (#6) in 2022 from their EP of the same name. The band’s loyal fanbase have garnered over 1.4 billion combined streams to date across all platforms along with over 3.1 million monthly Spotify listeners. Their music videos have received over 700 million views.

ASKING ALEXANDRIA are currently offering a once-in-a-lifetime experience to shadow the band on tour for a day, including a guitar tech session with BRUCE where the winner will also get to take home the signed guitar, as part of Better Noise Music’s “Fan Love Sweepstakes” fundraiser supporting Sweet Relief Musicians Fund’s “Music’s Mental Health Fund.” The grand prize winner and a guest will receive airfare and a two-night hotel stay to attend the concert, plus they’ll receive a pair of VIP tickets to a future ASKING ALEXANDRIA show of their choice (subject to venue availability).
