Coming off their triumphant 21-city fall “Bad Girls Romance” tour, the professionally choreographed take-no-prisoners live experience features some of the entertainment industry’s best dancers, aerialists, vocalists, and contortionists. LITTLE MISS NASTY is an electrifying spectacle full of over-the-top visuals and blazingly cool music from Korn, Slipknot, NIN, Rob Zombie, Gina and The Eastern Block, RATM, IC3PEAK and others along with surprises that leave jaws on the floor and memories fired up. Dave Damiani is an American singer, songwriter, producer based out of Los Angeles, CA. Having started as a bartender at the famed CHARLIE O’S JAZZ CLUB in Valley Village, CA, Dave Damiani had the opportunity to work, learn and become friends with some of the best musicians on the planet. Legends like Earl Palmer, Marty Harris, Ross Tompkins, Sam Most, Teddy Edwards, John Heard, Roy McCurdy, Frank Capp, Ernie McDaniel, Dini Clarke, Danny Grissett, George Gaffney, Mark Murphy, and Richie Cole (just to name a few) took time to mentor Dave Damiani, share stories and chord changes.

Shortly after receiving his master’s degree in Commercial Music from the California State University in Los Angeles, Dave began his pursuit to put together the perfect band with youth and style. His debut album “Watch What Happens” has been receiving worldwide airplay. Brad “Martini” Chambers was the first to discover Dave Damiani’s originality. Brad has been playing him constantly on www.martiniinthemorning.com since 2013. Additionally, receiving airplay on over 300 radio stations and on Satellite Radio XM 71 (Siriusly Sinatra). In January Dave Damiani hosted his own hour on Sirius XM Siriuisly Sinatra #71, while hosting his good friend and New Jersey brother Joe Piscopo swung the studio say, “hi”!

Dave Damiani & The No Vacancy Orchestra have produced shows with Frank Sinatra Enterprises, The Grove, Citi, Capital One, American Airlines, Jack Daniels, George Benson, Molly Ringwald, Bobby Ridel, Landau Murphy Jr., Hailey Reinhart, Renee Olstead, Steve Tyrel, and Larry King.

Damiani has produced four albums for himself and most recently “Bending the Standard, The Anthology.”

Today, December 1, MICKEY THOMAS of STARSHIP has released “A Classic Christmas,” a two-sided single (available digitally only, via Symphonic Distribution) on which he distinctively lights up such holiday gems as “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” and “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” with his deeply soulful and soaring voice.

Having recorded only one Christmas song before—a bluesy/gospel version of “Silent Night” with the Elvin Bishop Band in 1976—MICKEY says, “I love traditional Christmas songs because most of them were written by fantastic old school writers. They all have a terrific sense for melody and usually have very creative rhyme schemes.”

Both songs were produced, mixed, and engineered by Dan Frizsell and recorded in East Iris Studios in Nashville with John Willis (guitars), David Dorn (keys), Mark Hill (bass), and Evan Hutchings (Drums). “The recording session was a fantastic experience and worked like a charm,” says MICKEY. “Dan Frizsell assembled an incredible group of players—some of the best studio musicians in Nashville. They were not only musical virtuosos but also funny as hell. I love the experience of walking into a studio and diving into the process with people you’ve never met or worked with. The chemistry was spot on from the get-go and we all had a blast recording the songs.”

About Mickey Thomas and STARSHIP:

Mickey Thomas is the owner of the soaring voice that propelled STARSHIP through the decade of the 80’s. With his soulful and compelling vocals, Mickey has established himself as one of Rock Music’s most recognizable stars.

Mickey made his mark in 1976 as lead vocalist on the mega-hit “Fooled Around And Fell In Love” with The Elvin Bishop Band. In 1979, Mickey joined Jefferson Starship as the lead vocalist, after the departure of Grace Slick and Marty Balin, and recorded a string of hits including “Jane”, “No Way Out”, “Find Your Way Back”, “Stranger”, and “Layin’ It on the Line”.

The group was renamed STARSHIP in 1985 and went on to record three #1 hit songs including “We Built This City”, “Sara”, and “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now”, from the film, Mannequin, which also was an Academy Award nominee. Their hit “It’s Not Over ‘Til It’s Over” became Major League Baseball’s theme in 1987. Mickey’s stellar voice and video charisma on STARSHIP’s video classics such as “We Built This City” and “Sara” became staples on MTV and VH1.

HEATHER ANNE LOMAX – “Mama’s Sleepin’” Official Music Video

Los Angeles-based Americana/Country-rock singer-songwriter HEATHER ANNE LOMAX has shared a cinematic music video for her empowering single “Mama’s Sleepin’” from her debut album THE DOMAN TRACKS (Blackbird Record Label) released earlier this month. Watch the “Mama’s Sleepin’” music video, filmed in Los Angeles and directed by Taylor Hungerford, directly above or via YouTube HERE.

The video stars actor Todd Lowe (“Gilmore Girls,” ”True Blood”) and was premiered yesterday (November 27) via Americana Highways which noted: “This song tackles the harsh reality of having no choice but to live under the authority of a harsh adult head on. [The lyric] ‘Leave us kids alone, don’t you holler while my Mama’s sleepin’’ is strong, direct, and heavy hitting. Lomax has an authority of her own that comes across loud and clear here in her vocals and in the music; it’s cathartic and empowering.”

HEATHER ANNE says “‘Mama’s Sleepin’” is “a cathartic fuck-you to my adoptive dad, who was abusive verbally, and physically sometimes.”

HEATHER ANNE will celebrate the release of THE DOMAN TRACKS with a special record release show tomorrow, November 29, in Los Angeles, CA at the Troubadour with special guests Manda Mosher and Abby Posner (who are also part of Blackbird Record Label). Actor TODD LOWE will be in attendance, giving out some of the signed headshots that were used in the filming of the “Mama’s Sleepin’” video to random attendees. THE DOMAN TRACKS consists of eight collaborative songs recorded with the late Michael Doman, formerly the singer-songwriter-producer of the noted ‘80s L.A. rock band Broken Homes. The pair cut the intimate material during two years of recording sessions, and they were set aside until HEATHER revisited them following DOMAN’s untimely death from a brain ailment in December of 2020. With LOMAX on lead vocals and guitar, Doman sang duet and added background vocals and the pair enlisted guitarist JEFF SEBENS in addition to support from various other local players to record the tracks live. For the first time in its long and renowned history, the iconic Montreux Jazz Festival has announced Montreux Jazz Festival Miami.

Set to make its debut March 1-3, 2024 at The Hangar in Coconut Grove, FL, the line-up for the inaugural three-day event will include a headlining performance from multi-Grammy® and Oscar® winner Jon Batiste, who along with a group of partners has worked to bring the iconic Montreux Jazz Festival to Miami; Batiste, co-owner of the event, will also serve as the Miami festival’s Artist Ambassador. Announced headliners also include Rock And Roll Hall Of Famer Daryl Hall and Brazilian singer, songwriter Daniela Mercury, with supporting acts, masterclass lineup, and special guests to be announced in January 2024.

To recreate the intimacy of Montreux, Switzerland, Montreux Jazz Festival Miami will be primarily hosted in The Hangar, a 1500-person, waterfront venue in Coconut Grove, assuring the ultimate fan experience. Attendees will also experience sunset concerts featuring emerging musicians on an outdoor stage adjacent to The Hangar in Coconut Grove. Programming at the venue will also include music masterclasses and the Legendary Montreux Jam Session. On the night of March 1, Batiste will throw an exceptional inaugural performance featuring multiple special guests. The festival experience will include curated dining options from some of Miami’s best restaurants as well as a pop-up of the famed vinyl listening bar, Dante’s Hifi.

“The Montreux Jazz Festival is a truly magical experience for artists and music lovers of all kinds,” Jon Batiste says. “I’m honored to play a part in bringing this experience across the ocean to Miami and challenging the borders of musical genres. It’s going to be an unforgettable three days.”

BRIT FLOYD currently in the midst of their multi-city “50 Years of Dark Side Tour” of North America, will wrap the 2023 dates with some very special guests for the tour’s final three shows. Pink Floyd Alum Durga McBroom and Scott Page, Harry Waters (Roger Waters’ son and piano and Hammond player) and PJ Olsson (lead vocalist of Alan Parsons Live Project) will join The World’s Greatest Pink Floyd Experience in Phoenix, AZ (November 28), Los Angeles, CA (November 30) and Ventura, CA (December 1).

The 50 Years of Dark Side tour features over two and a half hours of Pink Floyd music encompassing the band’s iconic career. BRIT FLOYD’s team have created a show that includes state-of-the-art visuals (lights, lasers, and animation) which are all presented with immersive soundscapes and virtuosic musicianship. When the tour wraps, the 50 Years of Dark Side trek will have encompassed more than 108 dates with return stops in many markets, alongside first-ever performances in other markets. The Dark Side Of The Moon, released in 1973, is one of the most critically acclaimed albums of all time and includes Pink Floyd’s iconic single “Money.”

Up next for Brit Floyd is a massive 2024 90-city tour of North America, plus shows in 45 cities in the UK, and Europe to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Pink Floyd’s Pulse and The Division Bell albums. Additional details to be announced.

21^st century rock vanguards FROM ASHES TO NEW kick off the holiday season with a new music video for their spirited rock cover of Mariah Carey’s iconic holiday staple “All I Want For Christmas Is You.” It’s out today, November 20, via Better Noise Music’s YouTube channel. The energetic cover, originally released last December, was lauded by ABC Audio for its “big guitars and screaming vocals” and was a quick hit with fans garnering viral attention on TikTok with nearly 1 million views and 100k likes. SoCal alternative rock band DIRTY HEADS released the digital deluxe release of their 2022 album Midnight Control on July 14. It featured an additional 14 tracks to the original 10-track album including a new acoustic version of their hit single “Rescue Me” which spent the entire month of August at #1 on the Alternative radio charts. The album also had its first-ever vinyl pressing on June 16.
DIRTY HEADS appeared on national TV performing on NBC’s “The Today Show” on July 17 performing their Top 5 hit “Life’s Been Good”—their take on the Joe Walsh original song–which has been streamed over 30 million times since its release in May of 2022.

Emo rock outfit THE FUNERAL PORTRAIT cater to their spooky side, having released their digital EP SOUNDS FROM THE ABYSS (VOL. 1) just in time for Halloween this year. It featured their two breakthrough covers of goth/horror cult songs “Mad World” (Tears For Fears) and “Creep” (Radiohead).
The band held several “devotion ceremonies” this year, delivering their theatrical presentation to their dedicated fanbase, the ‘Coffin Crew,’ on the Emo Dreams tour with Icon For Hire, Conquer Divide and Concrete Castles and opening for Ice Nine Kills at their Silver Scream horror convention concert.

Tommy Henriksen (guitarist and musical director for Alice Cooper’s band & member of Hollywood Vampires) has shared the second single from the debut album from his new project CROSSBONE SKULLY, “The Boom Went The Boom” featuring Phil Collen of Def Leppard; watch the music video HERE.
Legendary producer Mutt Lange emerged from retirement to executive produce the album and was reunited with Collen on this track after having produced and co-wrote several of Def Leppard’s monumental albums.
