Bridging the gap between the gritty swagger of the Sunset Strip and the soulful depths of Seattle, BUDDERSIDE resurrect and renew the purity of rock n’ roll with their high-energy anthems. The Los Angeles-based alt-rockers have released an explosive new single, “Good For Nothing,” produced by Matt Good (Asking Alexandria, Hollywood Undead) available now digitally HERE. “‘Good For Nothing’ is straight-up grunge & punk,” says vocalist PATRICK STONE. “The song instantly feels like riding a nuclear missile bareback with your pants on fire through the apocalypse. Working with producer Matt Good always delivers an exciting and modern twist.”

The “Good For Nothing” video delivers visual fireworks, notes STONE. “The video is a cinematic spectacular honoring movies like ‘Fury Road’ and ‘Sin City’ with a seriously sick sense of Tarantino type humor.”

Watch the “Good For Nothing” video streaming directly below or via YouTube HERE. Directed by longtime collaborator Vicente Cordero (Industrialism Films) with VFX by Brennan Karem (Wasteland Entertainment), the thrill-seeking, action-packed music video stars the band and a slew of guests–including music personality/VJ Matt Pinfield—being pursued after a money heist with an edge-of-your-seat car chase emphasized by the track’s chugging guitar riffs and pulsing anthemic vocals.

BUDDERSIDE consists of founder/vocalist Patrick Stone, lead guitarist Sam Koltun (Dorothy, Faster Pussycat, Crossbone Skully), rhythm guitarist Logan Nikolic (Diamante), drummer Jeff Dewbray and new bassist Eliot Lorango. The group are currently working on their third full-length album (due later this year) which will include “Good For Nothing” and their recent 2023 single “Power Hour.” It was written as the official theme song AXS’s weekly countdown show of the same name hosted by Matt Pinfield, SiriusXM VJ Caity Babs, and music industry personality Josh Bernstein.

Having previously toured with bands including Motörhead, Slayer, Anthrax and L.A. Guns as well as on festival stages such as Welcome to Rockville, Rocklahoma, Wacken Open Air, Motörboat, Malmö Festival, and the Monsters Of Rock cruise, BUDDERSIDE will join gothic rockers The 69 Eyes on their “Death of Darkness” tour across the U.S. this spring. The 16-date tour will stretch across the northern and southern east coast from March 26 to April 13. See the tour poster below for full dates. Tickets are on sale now at https://www.budderside.com/live.

As Los Angeles, CA-based active/hard rock group BUDDERSIDE prepare to release their third album later this summer via oneRPM, the band have slowly been releasing out multiple singles over the past months including hard-hitters such as “Never Worth It,” “Too Far,” “The Truth,” “Ghostlighting,”“Voices,” and the recent emotional ballad “Joker” written to eulogize founding member/vocalist Patrick Stone’s late father. Several of the tracks have been highlighted on the rock entertainment/video countdown show “Power Hour”–hosted by VJ/music personality Matt Pinfield, SiriusXM VJ Caity Babs and music industry figure Josh Bernstein (Revolver Golden Gods, Loudwire)—who’ve also invited Stone to appear on the show several times and championed the band. BUDDERSIDE have released a new single, “POWER HOUR,” which was written as the official theme song for the show’s new weekly airing on AXS TV. Stream/download it now across all digital platforms HERE. You can also hear it by tuning into the “Power Hour” show every Wednesday at 7pm PT/10pm ET.

“The song is so catchy,” says host Caity Babs. “And if you’re not singing it after 30 seconds, you’re no fun!”

Host Josh Bernstein adds: “Budderside have quickly become one of the brighter lights in the hard rock scene with their razor sharp riffs and ear-candy choruses. I expect only big things ahead for the boys.”

Furthering his support for the band, host Matt Pinfield—who previously appeared in Budderside’s “Amber Alert” music video and performed a cover of the classic Motörhead song “Ace of Spades” with the band at the Whisky A-Go-Go in 2020—states: “This is a powerful in-your face hard rock song with an undeniable hook-and Budderside have delivered a true anthem for 2023. I really believe this could be their year!” – Matt Pinfield

BUDDERSIDE was formed by Stone following his stint as vocalist of Adler’s Appetite, after receiving encouragement from the late Lemmy Kilmister of Motörhead who he worked for as part of his infamous ‘road crew’ and was also a close friend. Lemmy signed them to his own label, Motörhead Music and they released their self-titled debut album in 2016. The band issued their sophomore album Spiritual Violence in March 2021 via Motörhead Music/ Silver Lining Music which was recorded by legendary producer Jay Baumgardner (Bush, Godsmack, Papa Roach) and mastered by Grammy Award-winning engineer Howie Weinberg (Nirvana, The Smashing Pumpkins, Garbage) with guest appearances from Motörhead guitarist Phil Campbell and Butcher Babies vocalist Carla Harvey.

BUDDERSIDE has toured extensively in the U.S. supporting acts including Motörhead, Slayer, Anthrax and L.A. Guns as well as being featured on international festivals including Rocklahoma, Wacken Open Air, Motörboat, Malmö Festival and the Monsters Of Rock cruise.  Catch them next at Welcome To Rockville on in Daytona, FL on May 18.

“Travel with me through time
Walk with me in your light
Find me where you would fly
The joker in the sky”

Active rock outfit BUDDERSIDE have today (December 9) released an emotional new single, “Joker,” which pays tribute to vocalist PATRICK STONE’s late father Charles E. Stone who passed away in 2020 due to COVID-19. Known as the “joker,” STONE’s father was a Korean War veteran and stunt pilot. To honor his memory, BUDDERSIDEPatrick Stone (vocals), Sam “Bam” Koltun (lead guitar), Logan Nikolic (rhythm guitar), Gabe Maska (bass) and Jeff Dewbray (drums)—filmed the “Joker” music video at Planes of Fame Air Museum in Chino, CA surrounded by historic warbirds and aerobatic aircrafts, with STONE’s face painted to resemble the joker character. Watch the touching video directed by longtime collaborator Vicente Cordero below or directly via YouTube HERE. “Joker” is available now to stream/download across all digital platforms HERE.

“‘Joker’ pays tribute to my father who was a veteran and stunt pilot that I lost due to Covid,” shares STONE, whose outstanding soaring vocals underline the song’s heart and soul.

He continues to reminisce about his relationship with his father and how it inspired the track: “Imagine you’re a child, Dad wakes you up before dawn, takes you to the airport and straps you into his two-seater acrobatic aircraft and you both launch into a gorgeous, burning orange and red sunrise. He flips the plane upside down just as you come over the Santa Cruz mountains above Steamers Lane, the engine growling into a dive toward waves covered with surfers who begin jumping from their boards in fear of a crash. Dad laughing his ass off, upside down and lightning fast, then, spinning upward, straight for the stars. He cuts the power into a stall! You fall backwards, your heart spit from your chest, all the angels in heaven vibrating in your bones and Dad, The Joker, laughs even louder as the free fall consumes you. A quick trick with the controls, the engine comes back to life like an earthquake, the power under your seat, you both scream! Then, like a dream, the clouds act like a blanket and softly carry you to wherever you want to go. This was a typical Sunday morning for my dad and I.”

“The Joker” lyrics
Fear is my own design
Loss is my every chain
Possessions hold me down
Reminding me of times of pain

Hold me closer now
As I push you away
Into a new chapter
Alone so proud dying so brave
So brave

Travel with me through time
Walk with me in your light
Find me where you would fly
The joker in the sky
The joke is on you and…

I can’t be everything
Like you are everywhere
In every breath I breathe
Shining the light on mystery

The mountains sing the song
Resting your soul to sleep
The fallen snow it lays
The child down where he believes
Believe in me

Travel with me through time
Walk with me in your light
Find me where you would fly
The joker in the sky
The joke is on you and…

I’m following the ghost that has failed you,
and I won’t ever forget he betrayed you

Travel with me through time
Walk with me in your light
Find me where you would fly
The joker in the sky
The joke is on you and…

Travel with me through time
Walk with me in your light
Find me where you would fly
The joker in the sky
The joker in the sky

BUDDERSIDE have been steadily releasing a series of singles leading into the release of their upcoming third album, due in 2023, which they recorded earlier this year with producer Matt Good (Asking Alexandria, Hollywood Undead). Their recent single “The Truth” topped the Danny Wimmer PresentsPower Hour” fan-powered music video countdown Twitch show hosted by VJ/music personality Matt Pinfield, SiriusXM dj Caity Babs and industry exec Josh Bernstein. It was #1 for nine weeks, the maximum allotted amount. BUDDERSIDE’s recent singles include “Never Worth It,” “Too Far,” “Ghostlighting,” and “Voices.”

The LA-based group have been seen performing one-off gigs at hometown venues including The Whisky and Viper Room throughout the year. When they’re not touring or recording, Koltun can be seen on the road with Dorothy and Faster Pussycat and Nikolic appears with Diamante on tour. Stay tuned in 2023 for additional tour dates.

LA Rockers BUDDERSIDE Search for “The Truth” In Latest Music Video Single Out Today, 5/27, via oneRPM

“THE TRUTH”

FOUNDING MEMBER/VOCALIST PATRICK STONE
DISCUSSES ‘LOANING’ BAND’S MEMBERS & SHARES TRUE MEANING OF BAND’S NAME IN EXCLUSIVE Q&A

Los Angeles-based rock outfit BUDDERSIDE beg to find the truth of life and its meaning with their new single “The Truth” out today, Friday, May 27, across all digital streaming platforms. Stream/download it at https://onerpm.link/TheTruthBudderside. Vocalist, songwriter and founding member Patrick Stone seeks out these answers in the song’s music video filmed at a valley in Santa Barbara nearby where his Mother used to live. Watch “The Truth” music video, directed by Vicente Codero, streaming below or via YouTube HERE.

STONE elaborated on the inspiration for “The Truth” stating: “My mother’s home use to sit at the top of the valley where we filmed the video in Santa Barbara. I’ve seen some of the most beautiful flowers and sunsets in my life there and had always thought it would be an amazing place to shoot. I remember sitting on her porch, it was like a theatre to watch God paint every day and night. It’s the exact opposite of where you’d expect to see this song explained. The truth is– no pun intended–that this song is so dark it’s dangerous to focus on its lesson. Hopefully, sharing it this way will allow listeners to lean into the grove and dual guitar solo more than its honest lyrics. For once, I’m actually happy to avoid explaining and more devoted to distracting with the visuals. It had to be daunting somehow, though, and I got fixated on the rapture and how insane that would be to see. Religious beliefs are not our brand, but what lies beyond the stars and the secrets we keep played out well into this story.”

Read a Q&A below with Stone on new music, how the band’s name was formed and on how other rock bands keep borrowing the band’s musicians.

The Truth” is one of the many highlights on the band’s upcoming and as-yet-untitled album. Due this fall via oneRPM, it was recorded with producer Matt Good (Asking Alexandria, Hollywood Undead). “The Truth” follows the devilish single “Never Worth It” which made its radio debut on KLOSNew & Approved with Matt Pinfield” radio show earlier this month. Previously released singles include the mental health awareness oriented “Too Far,” the self-questioning “Ghostlighting” (and its Scooby Doo-inspired music video) and the album’s debut anthemic track “Voices.”

BUDDERSIDE is rounded out by a talented group of handpicked musicians who after being enlisted by Stone have been poached by some of rock’s top acts to lend their skills on tour and recording duties. Guitarist Sam “Bam” Koltun can be seen playing on tour with hard rock outfit Dorothy and glam rock/metal icons Faster Pussycat. Bassist Gabe Maska was cast as the lead role of Kurt Cobain for the Las Vegas rock show “27.” In addition, guitarist Logan Nikolic can be seen touring with rock singer Diamante, who are currently opening for Shinedown.

Q&A with BUDDERSIDE’s
PATRICK STONE

Can you share how BUDDERSIDE’s new album compares to past releases? What inspired or led to those artistic/style changes and why?

STONE: “It’s finally the music I’ve always wanted BUDDERSIDE to be. Not that my heart and soul isn’t in everything that came before, but the whole band being as talented as they are really makes a difference in the writing, the music and the vibe. I also blame our entertainment lawyer and close friend, Eric German. He had the balls to tell us what wasn’t working and wasn’t afraid to be completely blunt. I’ve always respected Eric and the artists he works with and instead of letting his advice break me, it set me on fire.”

You worked with producer Matt Good on the new album who’s worked with a lot of mainstream radio rock acts including Asking Alexandria and Hollywood Undead. Can you share how he may have added to developing BUDDERSIDE’s overall sound on the album? What did he bring to the table that you felt differed from past producers?

STONE: “Eric German introduced us to Matt and BUDDERSIDE quickly became his band, too. He demands greatness and constantly challenged us with styles and sounds we were uncomfortable with. It was exactly what we needed. Going in, I was completely hopeful a metamorphosis would happen, and it did. He’s hands-on about every detail and we don’t move forward until we all agree it’s perfect. We landed in a very unique and radical space with the new sound. “

“His style is what makes him stand out from the rest. Matt is producing what hasn’t been done before. He’s the leader in his genre if you ask me. I love the bands he’s worked with, and you can tell the difference in the songs they’ve recorded with him and those without. He brings that special energy. Something about me changed and you can hear it in the new music. My preconceived notions about vocals dissolved from technique to truth. I was like a guitar being plugged into an amp for the first time. Everything was on 11. Putting Matt Good’s name on ours is one of our proudest achievements.”

What inspired you to write “The Truth”?

STONE: “The truth. Pun intended this time. What the f*ck does this life mean? What are we doing here? What happens next? I’m suffering. Life seems to be one struggle on top of another and I don’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. I’m constantly afraid the next thing is going to push me over the edge. Have I lost sight of who I am? My bandmates believe in me and writing this song together helped me see I’m not alone. We all want to know. Give me the truth! Killing ourselves to mean something to someone, for something.”

If you had the chance to be abducted by a UFO, would you take the plunge? Why or why not? If so, what truths would you expect to find from such an experience?

STONE: “Definitely. I’d expect to find exactly that, ‘the truth.’ To know the truth and to unlock the great mystery would be extremely exciting and yet bring abundant peace.”

This has got to be your most asked question but you’ve shared different answers in previous interviews—for once and for all, will you tell us what the name ‘Budderside’ means and why you chose it for the band?

STONE: “There is no exact answer. What does life mean? Answer that and you’ve described its definition. How about the “F” word? Use BUDDERSIDE like you use that word and you get it. If you can explain it, you ain’t got it! Narrow minded people don’t get it. Lemmy got it and that was good enough for me. The people that understand me and accept me for who I am are behind the name. To challenge that is a fight you will lose. You could say Gandhi or Einstein are strange rolling off the tongue, but not once you understand what they stood for. Once you understand us, you’ll see it and say it differently, like we do. It’s the name of a very meaningful rock band.”

When people see/hear the name Budderside, what do you think they think the band sounds like? What do you want them to think?

STONE: “I would expect them to be very curious. When they hear it, I want them to be totally blown away.”

Knowing that you handpicked the members of the band, how does it feel now that other large rock bands have been ‘borrowing’ them for tours, etc?

STONE: “Dorothy thanked me backstage last night for letting her ‘borrow Sam’ for her recent tour. I’m sure she knows she didn’t have to say that, but she did anyways and made me feel really good about it. I love her talent and her songs, and she deserves the very best. She knows that’s exactly what Sam is. I’m really proud to be a part of BUDDERSIDE. BUDDERSIDE is Sam’s band just as BUDDERSIDE is Logan’s band, who’s opening for Shinedown in arenas every night with Diamante currently… and that’s where we belong. Five fingers of a hand clawing its way into the life we deserve, together.”

“Sick of the excuses
Everybody gives
And all the expectations
Not living up to them
I just want to be happy
Always something in the way
Don’t feel like living
One more day”
–BUDDERSIDE, “Too Far” Lyrics

Hollywood, CA rock outfit BUDDERSIDE share their latest single, “Too Far,” available today across all digital platforms. The track is taken from their upcoming summer 2022 record via oneRPM and was recorded with producer Matt Good (Asking Alexandria, Hollywood Undead). The song gives a harrowing look into what can happen when people are pushed to the edge and things go ‘’too far.” Its music video, filmed at several iconic locations on the famed Sunset Strip including the Whisky a-Go-Go and The Rainbow Bar & Grill, premiered yesterday (12/2) via antiMusic. Directed by Vicente Cordero (Industrial Films LA), it shares a visually graphic dramatization tackling mental health issues and triggers.

“We are all so close to the edge,” says vocalist Patrick Alan Stone. “Saying something kind could save a life. It’s easy to be reckless, but what we do and say can push people too far. Hollywood is the city of dreams, where they are born and die every day. I’ve seen good people murder over infidelity. I’ve lost my sister and my two closest friends to suicide over broken hearts, others to overdose–all just trying to ease the pain of a cruel world.”

“‘Too Far’ is about the struggle I’ve gone through with depression and suicidal thoughts after being f*cked over by people around me. I took that depression and turned it into rage to create a song that strips away all of the b.s. It’s a reminder to others to not push people too far, because they can snap and hurt themselves or even others. Just an honest cry for the world to do the right thing. If someone you know is in need of help, you’re not alone. Call the National Suicide Prevention Hotline (1-800-273-8255) or 911, there is help.”

Hollywood-based rock outfit BUDDERSIDE are excited to kick off the holiday weekend with a brand-new track, “Voices,” the first single taken from their forthcoming as-yet-untitled third album due in 2022 via OneRPM. Produced by Matt Good (Asking Alexandria, Hollywood Undead, Butcher Babies), “Voices”—described by vocalist Patrick Stone (ex-Adler’s Appetite)—“is a farewell to this realm and an invitation to the next.” It was written by the band as a collective unit and sees the group venture into uncharted space with its anthemic hooks and riveting melodies. Out today (9/3), “Voices” is available across all digital streaming platforms HERE. Watch the animated lyric video, illustrated by Pablo Conde, streaming below.

BUDDERSIDE will bring their fervent live performance to crowds at Rocklahoma this Sunday, September 5, giving fans the first listen to new material in addition to playing singles from their recent album SPIRITUAL VIOLENCE, released earlier this year via Motörhead Music/Silver Lining Music. Previously the band have been seen on stages across the U.S. with heavy hitters including Slayer, Anthrax, L.A. Guns and Motörhead, as well as appearing at major worldwide music festivals including Wacken Open Air (Germany), Malmö Festival (Sweden), Motörhead’s Motörboat and Monsters Of Rock cruise.

BUDDERSIDE was formed by STONE following his departure from Adler’s Appetite under the guidance of his mentor and close friend, the late Motörhead front man Lemmy Kilmister. He later enlisted a band of skilled musicians including guitarists Logan Nikolic and Sam “Bam” Koltun (Faster Pussycat, Dorothy), bassist Gabe Maska (currently appearing as Kurt Cobain in the Las Vegas 27 Show) and drummer Jeff Dewbray. Their recent sophomore album SPIRITUAL VIOLENCE was released on March 26 via Motörhead Music/Silver Lining Music. SPIRITUAL VIOLENCE revealed STONE’s journey of overcoming addiction, loss and heartbreak to finding resurrection with patience, perseverance and meditation. Its extravagant cinematic music videos, including the Tokyo-filmed “Zen,” and animated “Pardon Me (ft. Phil Campbell), were lauded as finalists and official selections at several independent film festivals (LA Film Awards, Virgin Spring Cinefest).

BAND ANNOUNCE ROCKLAHOMA FESTIVAL APPEARANCE &

BUDDERSIDE bridge the gap between the sexy swagger of the Sunset Strip and the soulful depths of Seattle on their recent sophomore release SPIRITUAL VIOLENCE via Motörhead Music/Silver Lining Music. Recorded with legendary producer Jay Baumgardner (Bush, Godsmack, Papa Roach) and mastered by Grammy Award-winning engineer Howie Weinberg (Nirvana, The Smashing Pumpkins, Garbage), the album shares heartbreak, perseverance, meditation, and resurrection from the throes of addiction across its 10 spiritually evocative and meticulously crafted songs. The album also features guest appearances from Motörhead guitarist Phil Campbell and Butcher Babies vocalist Carla Harvey.

The quintet today (July 23) have shared an evocative animated lyric video for the deeply personal track “Things We Do,” which features Musyca Children’s Choir and covers the trials and tribulations of dealing with addiction. Watch it streaming now via YouTube HERE or directly above.

Vocalist/guitarist PATRICK STONE shares: “‘Things We Do’ is a firsthand walk through addiction, the loss of a dear friend and the hypocritical, empty promise of getting high.”

BUDDERSIDE—who were personally signed by late Motörhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister–have built a reputation on the road, touring with staple metal acts including Slayer, Anthrax, L.A. Guns and Motörhead, as well as appearing at major worldwide music festivals including Wacken Open Air (Germany), Malmö Festival (Sweden), Motörhead’s Motörboat and Monsters Of Rock cruise. They will continue to bring their riveting performance to the stages as they have been announced as part of the lineup for Rocklahoma (Rob Zombie, Slipknot, Limp Bizkit) taking place from September 3-5. Prior to that, BUDDERSIDE will play their first show since the pandemic in their Los Angeles hometown as they headline The North End Hollywood on Sunday, August 8.

“Budderside are one of the most exciting bands out of LA in a really long time,” declares former MTV VJ and music personality Matt Pinfield. “For my money–what rock music should be. THE ALBUM ‘SPIRITUAL VIOLENCE
DUE MARCH 26 VIA MOTÖRHEAD MUSIC/SILVER LINING MUSIC

Hollywood rock & roll group BUDDERSIDE bridge the gap between the sexy swagger of the Sunset Strip and the soulful depths of Seattle on their forthcoming sophomore release SPIRITUAL VIOLENCE out March 26 via Motörhead Music/Silver Lining Music. Its fourth single, “Amber Alert (featuring Carla Harvey of Butcher Babies),is out today (March 19), streaming across all digital platforms HERE. The band premiered its seductive music video yesterday (3/18) via Metal Injection. In the video, BUDDERSIDE vocalist Patrick Stone and Harvey lead viewers into a circus where the devil is the ringleader—portrayed by music personality and host of KLOS’ ‘New and Approved’ show Matt Pinfield. Watch it streaming above or HERE.

“In LA everyone wants to be a rockstar but no one wants to put the work in,” says Butcher Babies vocalist Harvey. “Patrick is a long-time friend of mine that has always shown true tenacity in going after his dreams. Both of us have picked up the pieces and started over many times to come as far as we have. I’m super proud of what he’s done with Budderside, so naturally I said yes when he asked me to feature on ‘Amber Alert.’ I had a blast throwing a little estrogen on this banger!”

“Budderside are one of the most exciting bands out of LA in a really long time,” declares Pinfield. “For my money–what rock music should be. They have the goods–a frontman with real swagger and incredible players who deliver their songs with passion, power and conviction.  Visually, the band’s videos for the new album are on an unparalleled level of creativity. I was honored to be a part of their new video for the single ‘Amber Alert.’ The song’s heavy groove is complimented by the vocal duet with Budderside’s charismatic frontman Patrick Stone and Butcher Babies’ Carla Harvey, who adds a heavy, menacing yet melodic interplay with this unforgettable in-your-face rock anthem that never lets up and doesn’t disappoint.”

SPIRITUAL VIOLENCE was recorded with legendary producer Jay Baumgardner (Bush, Godsmack, Papa Roach) and mastered by Grammy Award-winning engineer Howie Weinberg (Nirvana, The Smashing Pumpkins, Garbage). Its 10 spiritually evocative and meticulously crafted songs are thoughtfully designed to resonate, both musically and lyrically, across the world.

Two of the band’s recently shared video singles–“Zen” (filmed in Tokyo and directed by Erik Bishop) and the animated “Pardon Me (featuring Phil Campbell of Motörhead)” (directed by Pablo Conde)— were selected at several independent film festivals including Los Angeles Film Awards, Virgin Spring Cinefest, Fantasy/Sci-Fi Film & Screenplay Festival and Lift off Global Network Berlin. Additionally, “Pardon Me” was recently updated as a finalist for the Golden Short Film Festival.

BUDDERSIDE has previously been on tours alongside Motörhead, Slayer, Anthrax and L.A. Guns as well as being featured on international festivals including Wacken Open Air, Motörboat, Malmö Festival and the Monsters Of Rock cruise. They look forward to returning to the stage following the safe relaunch of live events.

SOPHOMORE ALBUM
SPIRITUAL VIOLENCE

DUE MARCH 26 VIA MOTÖRHEAD MUSIC/SILVER LINING MUSIC

Los Angeles-based quintet BUDDERSIDE conjure high-energy alt-rock anthems which bridge the gap between the sexy swagger of the Sunset Strip and the soulful depths of Seattle on their forthcoming sophomore release SPIRITUAL VIOLENCE out March 26 via Motörhead Music/Silver Lining Music. The band have now unveiled a third single from the album with the striking track “Wide Awake” out today, February 19, across all digital platforms. The music video for “Wide Awake”—seen streaming below–was filmed at the abandoned Old L.A. Zoo in Griffith Park and shares an important story correlated to the single and album’s concept art.

“Every song always has a symbol, a visual story,” explains vocalist/founding member Patrick Stone. “‘Spiritual Violence’ lays down ten tarot cards, each representing a song. The story of ‘Wide Awake’ is one of manifesting your dreams, after a journey through Hell to reach them. The Hand Of Fatima is featured on the artwork for ‘Wide Awake’ and is the perfect reflection of this lesson. In the video, the band all pick cards from evil’s deck which reflect pieces of a puzzle that when all are in place reveal a greater destiny they share together.”

Getting to the abandoned location to film was a journey itself as drummer Jeff Dewbray recalls. “I got to take my drums on a f*ckin’ hike through an abandoned zoo. And that’s just the beginning of the madness in these videos! ‘Wide Awake’ has always been one of my favorite songs in the live set and every damn time I count it in, I know hysteria is bound to break out.  I’m forever grateful for everyone involved and couldn’t be more excited to show you all this video!”

SPIRITUAL VIOLENCE was recorded with legendary producer Jay Baumgardner (Bush, Godsmack, Papa Roach) and mastered by Grammy Award-winning engineer Howie Weinberg (Nirvana, The Smashing Pumpkins, Garbage). Its 10 tracks careen through STONE’s journey of overcoming addiction, loss and heartbreak to discovering resurrection with patience, perseverance and meditation set over soaring melodies and catchy refrains. BUDDERSIDE previously shared two singles: “Zen”–via MXDWN which American Songwriter applauded for “hav(ing) effortlessly aligned jazz, funk and pop influences with their rock persona that lends to interesting chord progressions and key changes”–and “Pardon Me (featuring Phil Campbell of Motörhead)”–whose animated music video depicted the story behind how the band was introduced and signed to Motörhead Music by its late founder, Motörhead vocalist Lemmy Kilmister.

BUDDERSIDE has previously been seen on tours alongside Motörhead, Slayer, Anthrax and L.A. Guns as well as being featured on international festivals including Wacken Open Air, Motörboat, Malmö Festival and the Monsters Of Rock cruise. They most recently shared their infectious live performance with audiences in December via a special livestream performance at the iconic Sunset Strip venue Whisky A Go Go which was aired across their socials as well as the equally famed Rainbow Bar and Grill’s networks in honor of Lemmy’s birthday which included a guest appearance and post-show Q&A panel from former MTV VJ and music personality Matt Pinfield.
