BAND TO TOUR THROUGHOUT EUROPE WITH NOTHING MORE
STARTING NOVEMBER 7 IN TAMPERE, FINLAND

Electronic metal group SOLENCE (@solenceofficial) are as bold as ever on their new single “Angels Calling,” an anthemic song about living out loud and in the moment. Released today (September 26), it’s the title track of, and fourth single from, their ANGELS CALLING album, now due October 31 via Better Noise Music. Listen to the track HERE and view the video HERE. Pre-orders for the album are available HERE.

SOLENCE—frontman Markus Videsäter alongside guitarist David Strääf, keyboardist Johan Swärd, and drummer David “Viking” Vikingsson—is based out of Los Angeles and originally hail from Sweden. They deploy big pop hooks and electro savvy with the heavy yet melodic intensity of trailblazing Swedish metal into a distinctive international sound equal parts hypnotic and uplifting.

“We started writing ‘Angels Calling’ while on tour with The HU back in 2024, inspired by Eastern European folk music,” explains singer Markus Videsäter. “When we had the vocals and the song started to come together, it instantly felt like a perfect title track. This song has everything—the lyrics, the energy, the chorus, the breakdown—everything we wanted the album to include. We really hope the fans enjoy it as much as we do!”

Angels Calling” follows up on the August 8 release of “Wish You The Worst.” Listen to the track here HERE and watch the video HERE. “Where Were You..?” came first on May 13, available for streaming and downloading HERE, and the lyric video can be viewed HERE. “Dead_Alive” followed June 27. Listen to it HERE and the watch the lyric video HERE. All the videos released so far have amassed over 222k views.

SOLENCE returns on ANGELS CALLING with fresh visuals, a new look, and a retrofitted sound that combines the best of their past with a look into the future for both the group and the genre. “For some reason, I’ve always felt like my time on earth is limited, as if I might die young,” Videsäter explains. “Our music is about making the most of life, relationships, and passion before heaven calls us home.”

With songs like “Monsters in My Head,” “MESS,” “All of the Pain Must Go,” and the title track, the band forms a diverse collection of their most highly charged material yet. “We are now the hype squad and the party train,” smiles guitarist David Strääf.

Each member began playing music at a young age: Markus played the trumpet, David the violin, Johan the bassoon, and Viking the drums. “I knew music was what I wanted to do when I was seven,” Markus says. “I went to music school, where I met the band. We shared the drive to create. That’s the spirit that started this band. The goal was to keep moving, no matter what direction we went.”

Lauded as one of Pandora’s “Rising Rock Artists To Watch In 2023,” SOLENCE have, to date, garnered over 378 million cumulative streams with as many as 862k monthly Spotify listeners and over 100 million video views since their formation in 2012. The band started by releasing heavy renditions of well-known pop hits from the likes of Imagine Dragons, Fall Out Boy, Ed Sheeran, Britney Spears, and Queen before breaking out with their 2019 debut album BROTHERS. It was quickly followed by their sophomore album, DIRECTION, which saw them achieve their first Active Rock radio charting with “Animal In Me” which became SiriusXM Octane’s most-played track in 2020. Octane’s Sr. Director, Music Programming Vincent Usuriello described SOLENCE’s sound as “a dynamic fusion of rock, metal, and pop elements, with powerful vocals, electrifying guitar riffs, and infectious melodies, creating an immersive sonic experience.” In 2021, SOLENCE released their third album, DEAFENING, which showed their range of inspirations from music to anime, gaming, sci-fi, and even philosophy and soon followed with their fourth album HOPE IS A CULT in 2023. Amidst writing new material for SOLENCEVidesäter and Strääf have lent their songwriting skills to pop acts including Jason Derulo and Bebe Rexha.

In 2025, SOLENCE continues to spread its life-affirming message. “‘Until I hear the ‘Angels Calling’ reminds us that life is way too short to worry about doubt or making mistakes,” Markus points out. “We never know when our time is up, so let’s make the most of it while we can!”

SOLENCE will hit the road later this year for a European tour opening for NOTHING MORE, which launches November 7 in Finland, along with Catch Your Breath and Ankor. General tickets are available now on their official website.

WATCH “THE RASMUS IN UKRAINE” DOCUMENTARY

Earlier this summer (on July 19), Finnish 6x Platinum and 8x Gold-certified, record-breaking rockers THE RASMUS performed as the headliner—and only foreign artist—of the Atlas Festival in war-torn Ukraine. They became an ambassador for the Good Donations charity fund, and along with the Atlas Festival and Blockbuster Mall (where the festival was held), they ultimately raised over 3.5 million hryvnias ($84,000) which was turned into a donation of special surgical instruments for the Okhmatdyt National Children’s Specialized Hospital.

THE RASMUS today (September 26) released a short documentary film, “The Rasmus in Ukraine,” about their time in the country. Watch it HERE. The income generated from YouTube will be donated to The Good Donations Foundation.

The funds were used to order and purchase modern, high-quality surgical kits from Germany. This equipment has already been delivered to Ukraine and handed over to doctors at the Okhmatdyt National Children’s Specialized Hospital. For medical professionals who save children’s lives every day, the quality and reliability of instruments is crucial. The official handover of the instruments took place yesterday (September 25). Despite being on tour promoting their new album WEIRDO (Better Noise Music), THE RASMUS joined the event online and spoke personally with the team of doctors at the hospital.

As headliners of the festival, THE RASMUSLauri Ylönen (vocals), Emppu Suhonen (guitars), Eero Heinonen (bass), and Aki Hakala (drums)—not only performed on stage but also took part in charity activities such as autograph sessions, raffles of unique merchandise bundles, and a personal visit to the hospital. During the meeting with the doctors, the musicians emphasized that “The doctors who work here are real heroes. They provide assistance even during air raid sirens and rocket attacks. We were impressed by their professionalism. It is very important that they have equipment that matches their level. Because these doctors can do even more if they have everything they need.”

The Good Donations Foundation expresses its sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to the collection: “Together, we were able to give doctors instruments that give children a chance at life and hope to their families.”

Over 110,000 people attended the festival. It had a comprehensive security system and it was prepared to evacuate the audience and performers in just a few minutes if necessary. Before the event, frontman Lauri Ylönen had said, “It’s scary to play in the middle of war, but we want to show our support for the Ukrainian people. We have a massive fan base in Ukraine and we’ve also previously done a joint song with the Ukrainian Eurovision winner Kalush Orchestra.”

The band recently released their highly anticipated 11th studio album, WEIRDO, on September 12 via Better Noise Music (the band’s first for the label) and Playground Music. The album, as well as limited-edition merchandise bundles, are available HERE. Later this year, THE RASMUS will bring their unforgettable stage show to audiences worldwide throughout 2025 on the “Weirdo Tour” and shows for 2026 are starting to be confirmed. The band recently concluded a month-long U.S. trek with The Funeral Portrait and their own North American headlining tour. Tickets are on sale now for the band’s European leg (9/12 – 12/6), as well as their 2026 shows.

ABOUT ATLAS FESTIVAL

The first edition of Atlas festival dates back to 2015 and ran successfully until 2019. In 2024 the organizers bravely brought it back, creating the biggest music event to take place in Ukraine since the invasion started, with 63,000 people in 3 days. The festival had a robust safety framework to ensure the artists’ and audience’s safety. The new venue – Blockbuster Mall – has the biggest underground parking in all of Ukraine (50000 m2), which can quickly become a shelter. In fact, in case of alarm, the entire festival can be evacuated to the shelter in a matter of minutes. The organizers worked and continue to work with the State Emergency Services, regional military administration and city administration to ensure the mitigation of all risks and the preparation for any threats without any danger to the people.

The festival entirely revolves around a big charity goal – to raise 100mln UAH (2.3 M EUR) to help the country. In 2024 Atlas Festival reached the goal with the help of its audience, artists, influencers and everyone who was involved. The whole festival was built around raising these funds with the help of our artist, sponsors, audience and all the country’s volunteers, influencers and opinion leaders. In 2025, it managed to surpass the previous year’s result and raised over 125mln UAH (2.5m EUR).

With his genre-bending country, pop, and R&B style, Nashville singer Drew Green first garnered attention as a songwriter before catching the spotlight with his 2020 tracks “Little More Be Alright’ and “Right Where I Be.” Both cuts appeared on his debut EP, Dirt Boy, Vol. 1. His 2021 follow-up, Dirt Boy, Vol. 2, included the streaming hit “Hooch.” The soulful standalone single “Good Ol’ Man” arrived in early 2022.

Green played in bands in high school and continued to hone his songwriting skills at college. Following his graduation, Green based himself in Nashville, singing in the house band at Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge and working a day job at a bank, all the while pursuing a songwriting career. He eventually gained a foothold in the industry, co-penning songs like Florida Georgia Line’s “Colorado” with Hardy and Hunter Phelps. In November 2018, he signed a publishing contract with Brett James’ Cornman Music. More opportunities followed and in June 2020, Green signed a recording contract with Villa 40/Sony Music Nashville, debuting that same month with the song “Little More Be Alright.” A second song, “Right Where I Be,” followed a month later, with both tracks appearing on the EP Dirt Boy, Vol. 1. 2021 saw the release of the twangy single “Hooch,” ahead of the arrival of Dirt Boy, Vol. 2. Green started out strong in early 2022 with the country-pop and R&B-leaning viral hit “Good Ol’ Man.”

In 2023, Drew has spent the year writing, recording and releasing songs “Prayer List”, “Yep” and “Best Ex I Ever Had” whilst playing shows across the US. He’s gearing up to release his next single “Lotta Bit Of You”, after the song hitting virality on TikTok. In 2024, Drew released a single, “Lotta Bit of You”, that garnered the attention of listeners on the Horizon on SiriusXM the Highway. Along with being featured on prominent play lists, “Lotta Bit of You”, has already hit over 5 million streams. Drew has also released, “One of Mine”, and “Road Dirt”, with an EP to be released later this year.

Scott Kinnebrew (Truth & Salvage Co) Releases “Skyman,” First Single/Video From Upcoming Album By His SOUNDING ARROW Solo Project

DATE: SEPTEMBER 25, 2025

FROM: MITCH SCHNEIDER / SRO PR

SOUNDING ARROW—
THE SOLO PROJECT OF SCOTT KINNEBREW (TRUTH AND SALVAGE CO)—
RETURN TODAY WITH “SKYMAN”
MARKS THE FIRST SINGLE AND VIDEO
FROM UPCOMING ALBUM
OUT IN EARLY 2026 ON BLACKBIRD RECORD LABEL
WATCH THE VIDEO HERE

“Skyman” Single Art

It’s been a minute or two since we’ve heard from SOUNDING ARROW, the solo project of veteran recording artist and touring musician Scott Kinnebrew (Truth and Salvage Co). For the first time since the 2017 album Loving Is Breathing, SOUNDING ARROW return today (September 25) with the warm and radiant single “Skyman” (Blackbird Record Label) and its uplifting, colorful video.

“Skyman”—both heady and light as a feather, a perfect tonic for these times—marks the first release from the singer, songwriter and guitarist’s second as-yet-untitled album due out in early 2026 (exact release date TBA). Watch the video—directed by Doug Frerichs and filmed in Kinnebrew’s adopted hometown of Asheville, North Carolina—HERE. The track will be available for streaming everywhere this Friday, September 26 HERE.

The SKYMAN album was co-produced by Gary Jules (“Mad World” from the Donnie Darko soundtrack) and mixed by Bill Reynolds (Band of Horses, The Avett Brothers’ Emotionalism). It weaves a vivid sonic landscape rich with the textures of rock, folk, country, blues, British invasion, R&B, and pop. It’s a brew that resists classification, as it lands somewhere between tradition and invention—what Kinnebrew thinks of as “sonic impressionism.”

Listening to the “Skyman” single feels like driving a lonely stretch of two-lane highway through a terrain of psychedelic optimism. The destination loses importance as the listener absorbs the introspective grandeur of a consciousness unfolding mile by mile. Sure, the song’s an invitation to lighten your day by just grooving along with the spacey vibes. But Kinnebrew wants us to keep mindful, too—as he delicately points out, “Everything is perfect,” but “soon we’ll all be dying. The now is wow. We are so lucky to be here.”

Talking about the song’s sonic alchemy, Kinnebrew says: “I think the song is very mantra-like. The major7 acoustic guitar riff that anchors the song just repeats hypnotically until the bridge, which comes as such a release. And then—when the 16th note tambo comes in on the chorus—it’s like the song catches a thermal and you are truly gliding.”

This lightness of being is captured in the “Skyman” video. Explains Kinnebrew: “I started thinking about what could best define ‘Skyman’ within my network and zero budget.  Scrolling through Instagram, I came across my friend Alethia Austin’s post. Alethia is a professional skydiver who instructs for a living. And she is a badass.

“She was totally down to work on the video. At that point my wife and brains behind the operation said we needed a narrative. She thought it would be cool to have footage of a kid pretending to skydive cut in with footage of a pro dive. Brilliant idea. Our little buddy Burl Craven fit the bill, and he and his folks were down to help.

“So all in all, it was a group operation,” adds Kinnebrew. “I reached out to friends asking if anyone had cool footage of clouds, and folks sent me stuff. I borrowed a camera and had my buddy Jesse McSwain help shoot. None of us knew what we were doing with the camera but followed Doug’s (the editor/director) instructions and went for it. Sounding Arrow has a rotating cast of characters so I asked friends around town if they wanted to be my ‘band.’  Everyone chipped in with direction, location, and wardrobe. When we were done collecting footage, we sent it all to Doug (who directed two Sounding Arrow videos, “King Size Heart” and “You Will Be Loved”). He took it and turned into a masterpiece, per usual.”

ABOUT BAD WOLVES

BAD WOLVES arrived with the rarity and the force of a lightning bolt in 2018 with their chart-topping version of The Cranberries‘ “Zombie.” This collective of tried-and-true musicians rallied around an unconventional vision for heavy music, grafting rafter-reaching hooks to pit-splitting riffs and mind-bending rhythms with a penchant for unexpected twists and turns. Their full-length debut “DISOBEY” bowed in the Top 25 of the Billboard 200 and delivered a platinum single and a gold single. On its heels, they showed no signs of stopping with “N.A.T.I.O.N.” [2019]. However, “DEAR MONSTERS” kickstarted another season in 2021 as “Lifeline” netted their sixth #1 at Active Rock radio. Reaching a critical high, Billboard hailed the latter as “BAD WOLVES’ most diverse and far-reaching album to date.” Reaching over 2.8 billion total streams, and over 818 million video views, they’ve sold out headline shows on multiple continents and toured with everyone from Papa Roach and Hollywood Undead to Volbeat.

AS PART OF THE “BUCKLE UP” TOUR

Q&A WITH DD VERNI
FOLLOWS

DD VERNI & THE CADILLAC BAND have today (September 19) rolled out a lyric video for their cover of ABBA’s “So Long,” coinciding with today’s unveiling of the album BUCKLE UP on DEKO. The song was the first single from ABBA, the group’s self-titled album 1974 album, and DD was inspired to cover one of their songs based on his love of the Swedish superstars. “They just write such great catchy songs,” DD says. “I recently went to see ‘Mamma Mia’ on Broadway, and it was just amazing. I think of ABBA as fun and energetic music that’s catchy the very first time you hear it. I really love music like that, and that’s what I really strive for in my writing.” Listen to the song HERE and watch the video HERE. Read more from DD at the Q&A below.

For the group’s second album BUCKLE UP, DD and the band marry rock ‘n roll’s visceral energy and succinct songwriting to suave, swinging throwback arrangements and aesthetics. DD makes big band music more accessible and relatable than ever on the 14-track album. “So Long” follows the album’s previously released singles, Two Of A Kind (August 22) and Lucky 13 (July 18). The album’s full track listing is below.

“This is timeless, fun music. And for me, in a world that seems so chaotic every day, it’s a joy to have something that’s just plain fun, simple and energetic, DD says. To just leave your troubles behind, grab a drink and your girl and go out to a show like ours and have fun! Hoping to get to your town later in the year with the band!…and bring some of that energy.”

In support of the new album, DD VERNI & THE CADILLAC BAND have announced the first date of the “Buckle Up” Tour set for Saturday, December 6 at the House Of Independents in Asbury Park, NJ.

“All the work writing, recording, videos etc. is to one end…to start playing shows!” DD says. “Very excited to bring the guys (and gals) into Asbury Park for our first show in support of BUCKLE UP. It’s around Christmas time so there will be some holidays songs added, as well as songs from both records, and of course, some surprises. Psyched to see everyone down there!”

DD VERNI
Q&A

A person playing a guitar AI-generated content may be incorrect.DD VERNI, Photo Credit: Nick Wolf

Q: How do you balance your role in Overkill with leading a rocking big band? That’s a lot to have on your plate.

DD: I like to be busy basically. I don’t like chaos, I mean who does, but I do like having my hands in a few different buckets. I am a creative person, and weather it’s Cadillac Band or Overkill, or writing of even doing manager types of things, I like to mix it all up. I have been doing it so long I have a pretty good handle on things and a great group of people around me I have found over the years. And I make sure I don’t get too burned out, when things start to pile up too much, I just kind of back off and spend some time relaxing. I am very aware of burn out and always make sure I don’t get to that point.

Q: If you were to record a duet with a current artist outside the genres of music for which you’re known, who might that be, and which song would you cover and why?

DD: That’s tough because that would change week to week. And what genre, Metal? Big Band?  Swing?  I have my hands in a few. But The first to come to mind is Imelda May. She is an Irish singer and she is just amazing. Total attitude, but a voice that is amazing. She does absolutely beautiful types of ballads, but then can rock it up amazingly as well, she’s beautiful…I mean I am a big fan. If I had to pick a song it would probably be something a little more rocking, maybe “Mony Mony,” or how about an old Dropkick Murphys tune like “The Boys are Back,” get some Big Band horns on that and her singing with that Irish attitude. I would love that

Q: Can you talk about any books or films that have helped shape your sensibility as an artist?

DD: One of my favorite movies ever is “Castaway” with Tom Hanks. I mean for 45 minutes there is no dialog, just him trying to figure out how is he going to survive. And another favorite is The “Martian,” which my wife has pointed out is basically the same movie, stranded on Mars trying to figure out how to survive.  So maybe being in the music business for 40 years, there is some kind of correlation. Feeling alone/stranded and trying to survive as an artist/songwriter, especially when all the odds are against you to survive it.

Q: Which famous historical event would you like to have witnessed and why?

DD: Ya know when I see this question the first thing I think about is sports. I am a big sports fan, especially football. So, I think about maybe the first Super Bowl, or when Muhammad Ali beat Sonny Liston, or seeing Jackie Robinson play would have been amazing. Being at the old Polo grounds and watching Frank Gifford play for the Giants…I would have loved all that!

Q: Have you had a “Spinal Tap” moment in your career so far and can you describe it?

DD: Oh jeez, my god so many.  Who hasn’t. I mean you play in a band long enough; they all happen to you.  Just like in the movie I mean how many times have we not been able to find the stage and wandering around in corridors trying.  Or malfunction of props, and pyro etc etc during a show I mean countless times.  The ones that always stick out and I’m sure it has happened to a million bands if, you find out the house lights went down, the crowd cheered, the intro tape ran, fog rolled out on stage it all built to this huge entrance for the band…and were sitting on the bus.  No one has any idea the show even started etc etc.  House lights come back on, someone started the show not realizing the band wasn’t even in the building yet…awful!

Q: Do you have any rituals on your own, or with the band, before hitting the stage to psych yourself up?

DD: Well, honestly, I don’t need to psych myself up, I’m kind always ready mentally to go!  But the rituals more lately have just been about physically being ready. I recently had three different surgeries on my playing shoulder, so I’m really aware of that. I have to make sure I’m good and taped up, and that I do exercises–arm circles, etc etc–to make sure I don’t put too much strain on that too quick and for too long, otherwise I am in danger of tearing the ligament completely off the bone again…and a third time would be rough. So more that kind thing.

Q: Which two bands would you like to be on a dream bill with and why?

DD: Well again, metal? Big Band?  Etc…hard to pick.  First thing that comes to mind is AC/DC.  I mean with Overkill we have been with almost everyone, Kiss, Iron Maiden, Aerosmith, Judas Priest, Deep Purple all my hero’s…but never did anything with AC/DC…so I would love that. And with Cadillac Band I would love to do some shows with Rod Stewart, or jeez how about [Brian] Setzer!! I mean his band is awesome, that would really be something to do! For some reason I think Cadillac Band would be great with Cheap Trick!…one of my all-time favs, so we’ll see.

Q: Is there a song you crank up on Friday night to kick off the weekend—and a song you kick back with on a Sunday morning?

DD: Ya know I don’t really listen to music with a “mood” in mind.  It could be a lazy Sunday morning, sitting on the beach with a coffee and I’m blaring Slayer, I just listen to what I like, the mood for some reason doesn’t much matter to me.  I mean I’ll work out with Bobby Darin on; it doesn’t have to be aggressive but sometimes is…

Q: What was the last meal you cooked for yourself?

DD: Well, I generally do all the cooking at my house, so I am very used to making meals. But the last one I made was calzone pie, with meatballs and a salad. I make a lot of Italian food. My Mom was a great cook and we have a lot of her recipes. And around this time of year, we have football on Sundays, and every Sunday for most of my life my Mom made a big pot of gravy and meatball/spaghetti, or manicotti etc…so every Sunday is Italian food for me if a I can.

Q: What advice would you give now to your younger self?

DD: To take more time to look around and enjoy the moment. The younger me was so anxious to get to the next exciting thing that I didn’t spend as much time taking it all in as I could have. It’s like driving a car somewhere and never looking out the side windows, only looking forward…ya miss stuff.  But try telling that to a young musician hahaha…I think that comes with age.
