CROSSBONE SKULLY—the exciting new multidimensional project led by mastermind Tommy Henriksen (guitarist and musical director for Alice Cooper’s band & member of Hollywood Vampires)—have today (October 6) released their incendiary new single “The Boom Went The Boom,” featuring Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen, across digital platforms. The track is the second taste of new music from CROSSBONE SKULLY’s debut album due in 2024 via Better Noise Music. Legendary producer Mutt Lange emerged from retirement to executive produce the album and was reunited with Collen on this track after having produced and co-wrote several of Def Leppard’s monumental albums. “The Boom Went The Boom” is available today digitally HERE and a lyric video highlighting its rebellious message is streaming HERE or below. A music video for the song will be premiered on Friday, October 13 which will reveal the lineup for CROSSBONE SKULLY’s live band.

CROSSBONE SKULLY also announced the first of what will be a series of limited-edition 7” vinyl singles. This first 7” vinyl will feature “The Boom Went The Boom (feat. Phil Collen of Def Leppard)” and a yet-to-be-announced B-side track and will be available exclusively to order through the band’s Spotify page HERE. Each will come with a limited-edition signed copy of CROSSBONE SKULLY’s “Thing #1” ashcan comic. Proceeds from the sale of the limited edition 7” vinyl will be donated to the 501(c)(3) charity MusiCares who offer preventive, emergency, and recovery programs for musicians and music industry workers in times of need.

Describing the new track, HENRIKSEN says: “Like dynamite beneath deceit, ‘The Boom Went The Boom’ reveals the truth’s explosive power in song, shattering masks and echoing the reckoning of lies, for when trust erodes, The Misfits Will Rise!”

“I love the Crossbone Skully record and I’ve always loved Tommy’s voice, especially as we’ve got to sing live together a few times,” shares COLLEN. “I’ve always wanted to hear that voice on something like this, so here it is, finally! I’m totally thrilled to be a part of it!”

CROSSBONE SKULLY’s debut single “Evil World Machine” was originally released on the soundtrack for the 2022 thriller The Retaliators (Better Noise Films) and its music video was premiered later that year at Fan Expo in San Francisco. CROSSBONE SKULLY also represents the band’s mascot and main character of their graphic novel and animated film, “Thing #1,” which were also revealed at Fan Expo. For the film, HENRIKSEN enlisted several of his bandmates and friends for voiceovers on both the album and the upcoming film including A-list actor Johnny Depp and rock icons including Alice Cooper, Nikki Sixx, Joe Perry and Kane Roberts.

The forthcoming debut album features HENRIKSEN on vocals and bass and was recorded by a sterling group of musicians including guitarist Tommy Denander (Alice Cooper), keyboardist Jamie Muhoberac (My Chemical Romance, John Mayer, Seal), bassist Chris Wyse (Hollywood Vampires, Ace Frehley, the Cult, Ozzy Osbourne), drummer Glen Sobel (Alice Cooper, Hollywood Vampires), the late UFO bassist Pete Way and producer/mixer Mike Plotnikoff (AC/DC, Cher, Aerosmith).

Globally lauded Mongolian rock sensation and UNESCO 2023 “Artist of Peace” designees THE HU have shared their first-ever animated music video for the deeply moving, environmentally conscious song “Sell The World.” It is featured on their sophomore 2022 album RUMBLE OF THUNDER and its deluxe version, released earlier this year via Better Noise Music. The compelling animated video depicts environmental villains taking nature’s limited resources for granted and ruining the planet for generations to come. “The ‘Sell the World’ music video is the first-ever animated music video from The HU,” shares THE HU’s producer DASHKA. “It’s our way of expressing the love we have for our earth. From the name of the song to the content of the video, we use sarcasm and exaggeration to show the unpleasantness of the world. It was easier to use the graphics and 3Ds to create visuals for the exaggerated message that the song has in its lyrics. Throughout past albums, The HU’s songs positively reinforce the message of protecting the earth and keeping nature intact. However, on this video we took a completely different, polar opposite approach to the song’s message by reminding listeners of the limited resources of this earth. The female in the video represents the mother earth we are singing about.”

Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter HEATHER ANNE LOMAX has spent the greater part of the past decade putting her own spin on the Americana and Country-Rock/Blues genres. LOMAX has signed to Blackbird Record Label for THE DOMAN TRACKS—her forthcoming album and third overall—that’s due November 3 and today (September 29) has released its roots-rocking debut track “Heavy Load.” Stream/download it now HERE and watch the video HERE or streaming below.

THE DOMAN TRACKS is a previously unheard collaboration of original songs recorded with the late MICHAEL DOMAN, formerly the singer-songwriter-producer of the noted ‘80s L.A. rock band Broken Homes. LOMAX and DOMAN cut the intimate material during two years of recording sessions with LOMAX taking lead vocals, Doman singing duet and background vocals, and LOMAX, DOMAN, and JEFF SEBENS on guitar. The sessions, all cut live, also featured support from other local players, with engineer JASON HILLER’s bass parts added later. The recordings were set aside, but LOMAX returned to them after DOMAN’s untimely death from a brain ailment in December of 2020. See the album’s cover art and track listing below. “‘Heavy Load’ was written actually as a country song first, and Michael wanted to do it with more of a Stones groove,” shares LOMAX. “He actually added the last verse, which has become a sing-along at live shows. The context of the song was written in the midst of slogging it out as a single mom, and wondering if I should use the money I had to buy shoes or more food for the week.”

On collaborating with DOMAN, she says: “I chose to work with Michael, because I really respected his work as a songwriter and performer. He had an aesthetic that resonated with me, and I knew that he wouldn’t settle for anything less than excellence.”

The music video for “Heavy Load” premiered yesterday, September 28, via Wildfire Music who lauded the track stating “‘Heavy Load’ is both a confessional track that seems to speak from a position of self-knowledge and one that’s particularly accessible because of its direct lyricism. Not only unpretentious in its admissions of being ‘in need of healing,’ delivering a message from a ‘troubled soul,’ the song also has underlying Country and Blues elements that contribute to the emotional plea. The confidence of the Rock ‘n Roll delivery helps carry those traditions forward.”

GREGORIAN LIVE IN GREECE, 2023

GREGORIAN—“The World’s Most Successful Choir”—today announced that the group’s first-ever North American tour dates are being postponed into next year based on touring logistics, visa delays and the still recovering U.S. touring market. The Spring 2024 tour will kick off April 4 in Asheville, NC and will include the addition of shows on the west coast and in the southern U.S., expanding upon the initial dates previously announced. The itinerary is filled with theaters and performing arts centers throughout the U.S., Mexico and Latin America. The updated tour dates are below, with additional shows being added to the itinerary while others are still being rescheduled.

“It’s unfortunate that the dates are being postponed into next Spring,” says GREGORIAN brainchild and founder and owner of Nemo-Studios and omeN-Publishing Frank Peterson. “We’re still dealing with logistical issues and the tour markets in many ways are still recovering. We do know that when we get to America, the audiences will be rewarded with extraordinary shows. We all offer our thanks to the local public television stations who have been supporting the upcoming tour.”

Public television stations across the country have been broadcasting a television special showcasing some of the best live moments from the European shows over the years, and offering premium items only available via the stations, including VIP concert tickets with a meet & greet, PURE CHANTS I & II box set, PURE CHANTS DVD, and the Gregorian coffee table book (including 4 CDs and a Live DVD). All incentives offered will be honored on the new dates.

In advance of next year’s tour, GREGORIAN’s forthcoming new album PURE CHANTS I is still set for release on September 29 on BMG. The new album features mainly classical choral works and hymns plus some folk and pop favorites (full track listing below). GREGORIAN’s take on the historic Latin hymn “Pie Jesu,” features Andrew Lloyd Webber’s music and was produced by Frank Peterson. Listen to GREGORIAN’s version HERE and watch a clip HERE. Boston-bred singer-songwriter and guitarist JESSE AHERN’s new album, ROOTS ROCK REBEL, was released Friday, September 15, and marks his debut release via Dropkick Murphys’ Dummy Luck Music / [PIAS] record label. Produced by Grammy Award-winner Ted Hutt (Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly, The Gaslight Anthem), ROOTS ROCK REBEL is an East Coast mosaic of gritty rock ‘n’ roll and roots inspiration with Americana-style storytelling told in the idiom of a street performer. JESSE has shared a new music video for the humbling single “The Older I Get” which features guest musicians Ken Casey of Dropkick Murphys and country singer-songwriter Jaime Wyatt. “‘The Older I Get’ was almost a throwaway song,” says JESSE. “I had been playing an earlier version of it while on tour in 2022, but something was missing. I brought the song to [producer] Ted Hutt, and he helped me make it the singalong it is now. While on the road with Jaime, she had asked if she could sing it with me onstage and it was a hit, so featuring her was a no-brainer. I felt the last verse was perfect for Ken and am honored that he was up for the task.”

“Everybody’s out there trying to be something they are not, trying to sell an image and a product. Selling their soul for a like or a follow,” CASEY states. “Jesse is the polar opposite. His music, his personality, his core brings me back to the days when none of that mattered. Simpler times when what you saw is what you got. PURE. And this song is Jesse at his best.”

“I met Jesse on tour, we were both opening for Dropkick Murphys and the first song that made me run to the side stage to hear better was ‘The Older I Get,’” shares WYATT. “I instantly started singing a harmony. I was drawn to the humility and wisdom of the lyrics in that song. The verses are dreamy and universal. Jesse Ahern is a really special dude, which makes him such an insightful writer. He’s lived to tell a lot of amazing stories and I cannot wait for the rest of the world to fall in love with his music, like I did.”

JESSE will be seen performing the music from ROOTS ROCK REBEL including previous singles “Pray” and the pro-labor and unionization anthem “Back Against The Wall” as he joins longtime touring partners and friends DROPKICK MURPHYS on their headlining U.S. tour this fall alongside The Interrupters. LAS VEGAS, SEPTEMBER 26, 2023 – The wait is over! Grab your boots and do si do over to the hottest new country bar in town! Stoney’s North Forty opens on Wednesday, September 27, at Sante Fe Station. Doors open at 7 p.m. and to celebrate the opening, Stoney’s North Forty kicks off their opening with the launch of Ladies Night, where every Wednesday, all ladies receive $2 house wine, well cocktails, and draft beer. Live weekly entertainment begins Oct. 7 with a performance from Madeline Merlo.

The 13,000 square-foot country bar features a spacious interior with plenty of room for line dancing and two-steppin’, an intimate stage for live performances, several VIP booths, a mechanical bull, and Station Casinos’ iconic mirrored Armadillo. The 2,300 sq. ft. outdoor louvered pergola has a central fireplace, a dedicated beer pong area, other interactive games, and ample seating for socializing.

Starting Sept. 27, Stoney’s North Forty will be open seven days a week. Ladies Night is every Wednesday, with line dancing lessons Tuesday through Saturday nights at 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
