21st-century rock vanguards FROM ASHES TO NEW have been making a splash in the rock and nu-metal scene with their new concept album BLACKOUT, released July 28 via BETTER NOISE MUSIC. Set as a prequel to their 2016 debut album DAY ONE, BLACKOUT mirrors the state the world was in amidst the global pandemic during which it was written of unrest and angst with a pre-apocalyptic mindset. Its 12 tracks encapsulate FROM ASHES TO NEW’s explosive blend of hard rock, hip-hop, electronic and alternative music.

Produced by vocalist Matt Brandyberry, alongside longtime collaborators and producers Grant McFarland and Carson Slovak¸ BLACKOUT featured FROM ASHES TO NEW’s fifth-ever Top 10-charting rock radio single, “Hate Me Too,” (#8) and their current radio single “Nightmare” is steadily rising on the Active Rock charts. Today, August 11, FROM ASHES TO NEW reveal a new music video for the recently shared album track “Monster In Me, which New Noise Magazine described as” show(ing) a new side of the band that puts a fresh spin on the sound that broke them onto the scene–one that is emotive, angsty, and relatable to those who come from all walks of life.” Watch the “Monster In Me” music video directed by Jensen Noen (Falling In Reverse, Bring Me The Horizon) streaming below or directly via YouTube HERE.

FROM ASHES TO NEW are currently on the last stretch of their current tour across the U.S. with rock staples In This Moment and Motionless In White along with For A King. 21st-century rock vanguards FROM ASHES TO NEW’s explosive blend of hard rock, hip-hop, electronic and alternative music has driven their brand-new album BLACKOUT to the #1 spot on several iTunes and Spotify Rock and Metal charts across the globe. The 12-track album, released via Better Noise Music last Friday, June 28, was produced by vocalist Matt Brandyberry, alongside longtime collaborators and producers Grant McFarland and Carson Slovak. Conceptually it acts as a prequel to their 2016 debut DAY ONE and mirrors the angst and unrest the world felt during the 2020 pandemic at which time it was written.

Featuring their fifth-ever Top 10-charting rock radio single “Hate Me Too,” which peaked at #8 on Mediabase charts, and their latest anthemic single “Nightmare,” now climbing the charts at Active Rock radio, BLACKOUT has made waves with seven #1 iTunes Metal albums chartings and four #1 iTunes Rock albums placements including four dual #1’s globally. See their top chartings listed below.

“This past weekend was absolutely insane,” says the band’s lead singer Matt Brandyberry. “We went from not releasing a record since 2020 to having one of the biggest releases in the industry last Friday. When we decided to write ‘Blackout,’ we chose to write it for us. We wanted it to be a representation of who we feel we are as a band. Much like ‘Day One’ we pushed away outside influences and made something organic. The silver lining to the chaos of 2020/2021 was realizing how quickly everything can be taken away. It reinvigorated the passion that ignited all of our musical journeys. This sound is who we’ve always been and is who we will always be moving forward. Welcome to the BLACKOUT!”

“‘Blackout is the album we’ve always wanted to make,” elaborates vocalist Danny Case. “It’s intense, emotional, heavy, and most importantly, it’s us. This album truly represents who we are as a band and its massive sound will prove to be our best record yet. We are so incredibly proud of this album, and we are confident it will quickly become our fans’ favorite From Ashes To New record ever.”

Read what some of the press is saying about BLACKOUT:

Blackout thrives on electronics, heavy riffs, big hooks, screams and rhymes… Overall, the album is a perfectly good serving of mosh-pit-ready hard rock that should resonate with existing fans and find some new ones.” – Riff Magazine

“The electronic side of From Ashes To New is on show here, accompanying the rap vocals perfectly. Everything about the songs on Blackout screams accessibility…Case unleashes the inner beast in a running battle with Brandyberry that creates a sonic wall of destruction almost impossible to resist.” – Heavy Mag

“twelve tracks of catchy singalong belters… Hugely enjoyable” – The Moshville Times

FROM ASHES TO NEW continue to break their way into the top of the 21st century rock vanguard with their compelling new album BLACKOUT, out today (July 28), via BETTER NOISE MUSIC. Conceptually, BLACKOUT encapsulates the distress of the pre-apocalyptic world the Lancaster, PA band built with their groundbreaking 2016 debut DAY ONE, while mirroring the angst and unrest the world felt during the 2020 pandemic at which time it was written. Sonically, FROM ASHES TO NEW deliver a fresh spin on the sound that broke them onto the scene with their distinctive blend of hard rock, hip-hop, electronic and alternative music. BLACKOUT was produced by vocalist Matt Brandyberry, alongside longtime collaborators and producers Grant McFarland and Carson Slovak at Atrium Audio in PA. It features 12 tracks including their fifth-ever Top 10-charting rock radio single “Hate Me Too,” which peaked at #8 on Mediabase charts, and their latest anthemic single “Nightmare” which is now climbing the charts at Active Rock radio. Stream and/or download BLACKOUT or grab a physical copy on CD, vinyl or cassette at https://fatn.ffm.to/blackoutalbum.

“‘Blackout’ is our prequel to ‘Day One,’” says co-vocalist Matt Brandyberry. “‘Day One’ was a strong representation of the style that made FATN who we are today, and ‘Blackout’ is a step above. The world seems to be headed further and further towards chaos and destruction, so it only felt right to create a piece to paint the picture we are all becoming all too familiar with. Expect much more of this from us in the future!”

“‘Blackout is the album we’ve always wanted to make,” relays co-vocalist Danny Case. “It’s intense, emotional, heavy, and most importantly, it’s us. This album truly represents who we are as a band and its massive sound will prove to be our best record yet. We are so incredibly proud of this album, and we are confident it will quickly become our fans’ favorite From Ashes To New record ever.”

To further celebrate BLACKOUT‘s release, FROM ASHES TO NEW have today shared a lyric video for their rap/metal hybrid track “Monster In Me” which can be seen streaming below or via YouTube HERE.

“Sweet Relief has been helping musicians and music industry professionals since 1994 to help fund medical and vital living expenses,” elaborates ARIC STEINBERG (EVP of Development/Artist Relations at Sweet Relief Musicians Fund). “We created the Music’s Mental Health Fund in partnership with Backline to help address the mental health crisis in the music industry. From touring musicians, venue staff, touring crew members and industry professionals, the grant allows us to fund costs for sessions with a dedicated clinic and a case manager to create a specific mental health plan catered to the applicant’s needs. We’re excited to partner with Better Noise Music and their artists to help further our efforts and provide a fun and memorable experience for a lucky winner.”

ASKING ALEXANDRIA guitarist BEN BRUCE commented on being involved in the fundraiser: “Being in this industry for so long, we’ve seen firsthand how many people need strength, help and encouragement which is why we are so excited to be teaming up with Sweet Relief.”

NEW YORK 17TH MARCH 2023; FROM ASHES TO NEW are ready to break boundaries with their hybrid, high-energy mix of hard rock, nu-metal/hip-hop, electronic and alternative that’s underlined throughout their new album BLACKOUT, due July 28 via Better Noise Music. BLACKOUT’s concept is that it’s a prequel to their 2016 debut album DAY ONE. BLACKOUT encapsulates the distress of a pre-apocalyptic world mirroring the frame of mind the world felt during the 2020 pandemic during which time the album was written. It marks a return to FROM ASHES TO NEW’s roots with a sound that’s a fresh spin on the sound that broke them onto the scene.

Filled with heavy driven music—including previously released singles “Nightmare” and “Heartache”—and angsty lyrics that all walks of people can find common ground with, the band teamed up with longtime collaborators and producers Grant McFarland and Carson Slovak to hone in on the original music that led the smalltown-based group to breaking their way into top of the 21st century rock vanguard. With four Top 10 Billboard singles, over 600 million all-time streams across Spotify, Apple, Amazon, Pandora and Deezer, more than 75 million YouTube views, sold-out shows across the country and critical acclaim from Loudwire, Alternative Press and more, FROM ASHES TO NEW are poised to make 2023 the biggest year of their career to date. Get ready for BLACKOUT and pre-order a copy on CD, cassette and/or vinyl at https://fatn.ffm.to/blackout.

FROM ASHES TO NEW have released another sample of BLACKOUT with their latest single, “Hate Me Too,” out today (March 17) across all digital platforms. The anthemic track is paired with a dark comedy music video which contains an over-the-top American Psycho Christian Bale style representation of an internal struggle and mental anguish of erupting emotions and fantasies when relationships fall apart. Watch it streaming below or directly on YouTube HERE. Stream/download “Hate Me TooHERE.

“So many of us fall victim to the classic toxic relationship,” says vocalist Matt Brandyberry. “Feeling like you can’t live without someone but knowing you’d be better off if you could. Oftentimes these feelings are mutual, but neither of you can see it. Sometimes we just need an anthem to remind us that being stuck isn’t always the only option and violence never is.”

VIP & GA TICKETS ON SALE NOW FOR UPCOMING SPRING TOUR WITH SHINEDOWN & THREE DAYS GRACE
APRIL 3 to MAY 9
HERE

FROM ASHES TO NEW have today (February 3) delivered an intense and captivating new single “Nightmare,” taken from their upcoming as-yet-titled fourth album due this summer via Better Noise Music. “Nightmare” masterfully showcases dual vocalists Matt Brandyberry and Danny Case expertise in contrasting heavy rock anthemic choruses with nu-metal/rap rock verses. ”Nightmare” takes listeners through the emotions of being betrayed and the nightmares that result which are presented in the track’s accompanying apocalyptic-themed music video directed by Josiahx (Distrubed, Miss May I) out now via YouTube HERE or seen streaming below.

“Betrayal by someone we trust happens to the best of us,” says CASE. “We befriend someone, let them in, build a connection and then all of a sudden they turn into someone unrecognizable. Someone you once trusted and cared for so deeply is now a backstabbing enemy. In a heartbeat, the person you once thought you knew is now gone. There aren’t many things in life that cut quite as deep as betrayal. Erasing that person from your life and moving forward is the only way to wake up from the nightmare.”

Stream “Nightmare” on all digital platforms HERE.

The Lancaster, PA-based group—Brandyberry (vocals), Case (vocals), Lance Dowdle (guitars) and Mat Madiro (drums)—will be on tour this spring, joining fellow Top 10 active rock-charting acts Shinedown and Three Days Grace across the East Coast and Midwest from April 3 to May 9 before appearing as some of the summer’s largest rock festivals including Welcome To Rockville (5/19 – Daytona Beach, FL) and Sonic Temple (5/27 – Columbus, OH). For tickets and dates, visit fromashestonew.com/tour.

Hailed as the “sweet spot of mass appeal where there’s a little something for everyone” (Knotfest), FROM ASHES TO NEW’s blend of hard rock, hip-hop, electronic and alternative music has built them a diverse and dedicated fanbase while garnering over 345 million streams, 55 million video views and four Top 10 singles. Prior to “Nightmare,” the band released two additional tracks from their forthcoming album: the reflective single “Heartache” and the fiery, vindictive track “Until We Break (feat. Matty Mullins of Memphis Mayfire)” which was also featured on the official soundtrack for the horror-thriller The Retaliators in which the band also appeared in with a guest role.
