Modern English slipped in a couple of songs from its new album, ‘1 2 3 4,’ but mostly the eight acts from the day joyfully led a crowd of 6,000 or so down an aural memory lane of enduring hits from four decades ago. The 80’s New Wave tour TOTALLY TUBULAR FESTIVAL across North America celebrated its successful finale at Blossom Music Center in Cleveland, OH. The artists who performed on that night (July 28, 2024) were Thomas Dolby, Thompson Twins’ Tom Bailey, Modern English, Men Without Hats, Bow Wow Wow, Tommy Tutone, Eddie Munoz of The Plimsouls, and Wang Chung.

Tour creator Jon Pleeter says that the “TOTALLY TUBULAR FESTIVAL in its debut this summer played 23 markets, to great success, and highlighted some of the most iconic performers of the early 1980’s, delivering a bucket list experience for all who were part of the glory days of the MTV generation.” Pleeter adds: “The icing on the cake was the ‘superjams’ with Tommy Tutone, Men Without Hats, Modern English, and the Hot Sauce All-Stars with Thomas Dolby. Truly awesome. Let’s do this again!!!”

The festival featured artists that exploded in the pop culture zeitgeist in the early to mid-1980’s thanks mainly to the high rotation of their music videos on MTV; the genre has also seen a resurgence in popularity in recent years. The artists that performed on the 2024 tour included THOMAS DOLBY, THOMPSON TWINS’ TOM BAILEY, MODERN ENGLISH (Select Markets), MEN WITHOUT HATS, BOW WOW WOW, TOMMY TUTONE (Select Markets), EDDIE MUNOZ OF THE PLIMSOULS, THE TUBES (6/25 – 7/14), and WANG CHUNG (7/16 – 7/28). ABOUT ALEXIS WILKINS

Alexis Wilkins speaks the truth and owns who she is with her unapologetic storytelling, cowboy-like leaning, and definitive pull from the past. She honors country tradition while adding relevance and current commentary. Arkansas-bred and Nashville-based singer/songwriter and commanding artist; Wilkins struck platinum with her debut single release garnering over 1,000,000 streams across key platforms. With this came accolades and endorsements from CMT, American Songwriter, Today in Nashville, and more.

She is no stranger to the big stage, having shared it with such superstars as Chris Young, Joe Nichols, Sara Evans, Parmalee to name a few.

Her style beckons the past with a backbeat of 50s through the 70s sassy and driving vocals and melody driven tracks that will surely have the listener wanting to hit a saw-dusted dance floor or bring back the barn dance.

“Country music is here to stay” she says of the changing tides, the ebbs and flows of Nashville’s popularity shuffle, and disregard for temporary trend patterns. “I want people to hear truthful songs. These are real moments in my life and vignettes in time, and country music has always been the truth.”

She’s got quite a collection of vignettes to draw from too. Though music isn’t the family trade, her great-grandfather passed down a 1952 J45 Gibson and she hasn’t put it down since. Alexis learned the meaning of putting pen to paper when she was 6 years old. After reading an article about the devastation of the coal fires in Pennsylvania and learning that people do something they love to raise funds and awareness for something they believe in, she decided that she’d write her own song to help with the cause. Three years later, she made her first trip to Nashville and recorded that very same song, later to be used for The Nature Conservancy’s “Plant a Billion Project” to plant trees in the Atlantic Rainforest. This process solidified her decision to become an artist and make her many ideas a reality in song.

Fast forward, her advocacy of Veterans and Veteran causes is most important to her, working with organizations such as Warrior Rounds, Operation Standdown, Soldier’s Child, singing in the hospital with Musicians On Call and was selected for the honor of singing at memorial services for the VA. She pioneered the first live virtual performance program for Veteran patients and produced and delivered a nationwide 4th of July presentation to the VA hospitals via closed-circuit TV. She says of her work with Warrior Rounds that her retreat days, writing with Veterans, “are her favorite writing sessions.”

Alexis spent her early years living in Switzerland and England before she skipped over the pond with her family laying down roots in Arkansas. Recognizing her goals of making a name in Nashville, her family moved to Nashville where she quickly engaged in the music scene writing with numerous hit-songwriters, playing as many gigs as she could and enrolled at one of the nation’s top music business schools – Belmont University, but as a business and political science major where she graduated with honors. Maybe prolific, maybe just skill, but either way, she walked the prestigious Williams-Murray Writing Award, Economic Critical Thinking Award, and having been selected to be on the Ethics Debate Team.

Beyond her creative skills in music, she continues to grow her creative interests. In 2021 she launched American Westward, a lifestyle brand that focuses on the western lifestyle, outdoor living and more.

When Alexis isn’t in the studio or on the road, she’s hanging out with her family and dog, reading or collecting old books, writing articles, or working on her 1989 F-150 Lariat. Really though, she is a force to be reckoned with under the hood or on the stage, get ready to hear some new music, that is truly, for the first time, Alexis through and through.

ABOUT BOOMTOWN SAINTS

BoomTown Saints. It’s a name that brings to mind both the passionate intensity of a Southern Sunday church service and the explosive energy of a thriving hometown no one wants to ever leave. It’s the perfect moniker for Chris Ramos and Ben Chism, a musically adventurous duo who combine a myriad of influences into their own unique creative footprint in country music.

Chism’s warm Mississippi drawl provides the Southern charm in the duo’s lead vocals while Chris Ramos’ eclectic musical background fuels their progressive, ear-grabbing sound. It all comes together on BoomTown Saints debut EP, released June 30 on 8 Track Entertainment. The initial single, “All Trucks Go to Heaven,” earned the “DisCovery Disc of the Day” from Music Row legend Bob Oermann, who praised the record as “brilliantly accomplished” while the accompanying video won fans on Taste of Country and CMT.com. The duo gained notice as one of a handful of artists featured in Billboard’s “What’s New in the New Year” and wowed fans from all over the world when they made their CMA Music Fest debut in June.

The current single, “Blacktop Don’t,” continues to earn BoomTown Saints enthusiastic supporters. With one listen, the infectious groove hooks the listener, and the lyrics reels them in.

The song captures the energy that defines the BoomTown Saints’ sound, and it was discovering that spark together live that transformed Ramos and Chism from two talented individual musicians into country music’s hottest new duo. Chism hails from Southaven, MS and admits he wasn’t aspiring to a music career during his childhood. “My brother is six years older than I am and he picked up a guitar when he was 11 and I was five years old. It sounded terrible at first and I was like, ‘Dude, can you please stop? I’m trying to watch Rugrats,’” Chism recalls with a laugh.

His brother eventually developed into a great guitar player and Chism began to see the appeal in a music career after coming in second in a talent competition with his rendition of Kenny Chesney’s “How Forever Feels.” He started developing a local following, and despite going to college and majoring in biology, he decided to take the plunge and move to Nashville to pursue music.

Everyone has heard the phrase “Nashville is a ten-year town,” meaning it usually takes a decade to get any traction in the business. Well after a decade, Chism was starting to feel battered and about to surrender. He met Ramos at the gym, struck up a friendship and recruited him to play bass at an upcoming show. “Before the night was over, we were booked to come back,” Chism recalls. “Chris added a whole different element to what we were doing. He grabbed an acoustic guitar and went out there and he did something that I’d never seen done before with an acoustic guitar. He got people hyped up. The crowd was riled up! I knew there and then that this was different. This was going to be something.”

Ramos colorful stage personality developed during his Florida childhood, just south of Tampa. The area was a musical smorgasbord and Ramos lapped it all up. “I learned a ton of different instruments,” he says of his early days before moving to Nashville. “When you hear BoomTown Saints, you can hear the broad influence. You can hear where there’s a R&B flavor on that or see where there’s a classic rock influence on that song. The key thing for us is—and we talk about this all the time—is when you’re in a duo, it’s about humility. It’s about letting the other person shine when it’s time for them to shine. In doing that, we’ve allowed each other to really influence our sound and when the other person puts their flavor on it, it makes something unique.”

Both accomplished songwriters, Chism and Ramos really enjoy collaborating with each other and bringing other Music Row craftsmen into the mix. A prime example is “How to Lose a Lady,” a cautionary tale about what NOT to do in a relationship. “We were writing with Keith and Adrienne Follesé. Me and Chris look at them as mom and dad,” Chism says of their relationship with the veteran writers responsible for Tim McGraw’s “Something Like That,” among other hits. “Adrienne came up with the title, ‘How To Lose A Lady.’”

“Dive Bar Heart” was penned by Ashley Ray, Ryan Beaver and Benji Davis. “‘Dive Bar Heart’ isn’t a fast song or a slow song. It’s not a ballad or feet stomper. It’s kind of right there,” Ramos says of the thoughtful tune occupying its own unique space on the EP. “When you listen to it all the way through, it becomes one of your favorite songs because of the story it tells. It’s very descriptive and it paints a picture. You know exactly where this person is in the song.”

Every song on the EP was produced by veteran songwriter/producer/artist Noah Gordon and veteran producer, Gary Kraen. Fans have already embraced “All Trucks Go to Heaven” and the new EP includes both the originally released version as well as a stripped-down acoustic rendition.

That upbeat attitude infuses the music of BoomTown Saints with a positive spirit that is resonating with fans. “We were playing a show last month and when we started playing ‘All Trucks Go to Heaven,’ everybody picked up their cellphones, and started waving them back and forth. That was such a great moment. We don’t take those moments for granted. We are having the time of our lives.”

ABOUT MARK MACKAY

From the legendary Ryman Auditorium in Nashville to Colorado’s famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and countless destinations in between: Singer-songwriter Mark Mackay delivers electrifying performances to unite listeners with captivating anthems and blazing musicality.

Touring relentlessly across the country, he has reached a loyal multi-genre audience for his guitar-driven American Music. Mark Mackay fans will have plenty of new music to savor. For his newest collection of tracks, he selected an accomplished team of first call players to join him at Universal Music’s East Iris Studios. “We threw out the rule book,” Mark testifies. “To craft a sound that was both rock and roadhouse; historic and contemporary.” Mark’s expansive circle of co-conspirators includes such luminaries as Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame honoree Jeffrey Steele, Ted Russell Kamp from the Shooter Jennings band, and multiple ACM Guitarist of the Year nominee Adam Shoenfeld, who’s behind the board production expertise, plus his stellar guitar work, are notable contributions to the newest recordings.

As a California native, Mark grew up on the indelible sounds of Laurel Canyon and Bakersfield. Trained as a classical pianist, he studied blues and rock guitar at Musicians Institute in Hollywood. He says this newest stage of his recording journey brings him full cycle as a singer-songwriter. “I came to Hollywood writing narrative storyteller songs; then a six-year journey to try to write and record down the middle. Now, with more maturity and skills, I come back with the genuine authenticity of what I set out to do.”

In the summer of 2023, the artist staged an ambitious 36-show nationwide “Summer Slowdown Tour.” Forthcoming is his second annual Christmas tour, with sit-down theaters and a family-friendly atmosphere, in marked contrast to the boisterous bars where he sharpened his craft and rocked the house. As a frequent television guest in select markets, he reveals a natural, camera-friendly charisma.

He marvels at the folks he meets at far-flung fairs. “The crowds are huge, and everyone is always in a great mood,” he says. “Especially in random places. I traveled to the middle of nowhere, 30 minutes past Logan, Utah, and I think the whole state of Utah was there.”

Mark follows the rhythms of the road on a journey to the lights, illuminating the next town on the highway, and the white-hot brilliance of the stage. And while his lyrics on his new single are in reference to romance, hundreds of thousands of fans that have seen him perform might testify that the title is also an apt description of his decisive artistic destiny. ABOUT JASON HAINSWORTH

Jason Hainsworth is in demand both as a saxophonist and as a composer/arranger. As a native of Houston, Texas, he studied at the prestigious High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. He later went on to study music at the University of New Orleans with legendary jazz educator Ellis Marsalis and saxophonist Victor Goines. Hainsworth then moved to the New York/ New Jersey area to continue his musical studies at William Paterson University while performing along the east coast. After receiving his bachelor’s degree in music, Jason matriculated at Florida State University for graduate work where he earned his master’s degree in jazz studies.

As a performer, Mr. Hainsworth has led his own quartet throughout the world to critical acclaim, most recently headlining the Suriname Jazz Festival. He has also performed and recorded with Michael Dease, Johnathan Blake, Renee Rosnes, Randy Brecker, Lewis Nash, Glenn Zaleski, Tim Warfield, and Martin Bejerano just to name a few. Additionally, Jason is a current touring member of Ed Calle’s Mamblue (2016 Latin Grammy Winner), Tito Puente Jr’s. Latin Jazz All Stars, and Melton Mustafa Jazz Orchestra. He has performed extensively throughout the United States and South America.

As a composer/ arranger, Mr. Hainsworth’s works have been performed throughout the country at various high school and university jazz festivals such as Oklahoma State University, Louisiana State University, University of Iowa, Jacksonville State University, and Florida A&M University. His first vocal arrangement was premiered last spring at the Florida Music Educators Conference by the Dillard Center for the Arts Vocal Ensemble. He has received commissions to arrange music for Jimmy Cobb, Russell Malone, Tim Warfield, and many others. Mr. Hainsworth’s debut album, Kaleidoscope, features original compositions and arrangements for big bands with the likes of Tanya Darby, Linda Oh, Claudio Roditi, and Michael Dease as soloists. ABOUT GRANT GEISSMAN

Grant Geissman is a guitarist and composer with fifteen albums released under his own name, the latest being BLOOZ, which was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2022, and featured such guest artists as Randy Brecker, Joe Bonamassa, Josh Smith, Robben Ford, and Tom Scott. His other recent solo projects include the jazz trilogy of Say That!, Cool Man Cool, and BOP! BANG! BOOM! (Futurism Records). He has recorded with such artists as Quincy Jones, Burt Bacharach and Elvis Costello, Steve Tyrell, Chuck Mangione, Van Dyke Parks and Brian Wilson, Lorraine Feather, Gordon Goodwin’s Big Phat Band, David Benoit, and Ringo Starr. Geissman also co-wrote the music for all twelve seasons of the hit CBS-TV series Two and a Half Men and all six seasons of Mike & Molly. He was nominated for an Emmy Award in 2004 for co-writing the Two and a Half Men theme (“Men, men, men, men, manly men”). His other TV credits include playing the Django Reinhart-style acoustic guitar solo on the theme of the hit sitcom Monk. He also co-wrote the music for the freshman year of the CBS-TV sitcom B Positive. Geissman recorded the now-iconic electric guitar solo on Chuck Mangione’s 1978 mega-hit “Feels So Good,” and rather fittingly still likes to make music that sounds and feels good.

ABOUT DAVE LOEB

David Loeb is director of the Division of Jazz and Commercial Music and a professor of music at UNLV’s School of Music. He has performed as a jazz pianist with Arturo Sandoval, Nancy Wilson, Freddie Hubbard, Joe Williams, Tom Harrell, Anita O’Day, Bill Watrous, Tom Scott, Bobby Shew, Karrin Allyson, Paul Horn, Natalie Cole, Joe Farrell, Pepper Adams, Ray Brown, Joe Locke, and many others. As a session pianist in Los Angeles recording studios, Loeb played for television shows including Family Guy, Quantum Leap, and the Emmy Awards, and movies including Ted, The Birdcage, and Pocahontas.

He was principal keyboardist with The Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, accompanying musical artists including Andrea Bocelli, Audra McDonald, Gil Shaham, Patti LuPone, Placido Domingo, Jewel, James Galway, Kristin Chenoweth, Joshua Bell, Jessye Norman and Quincy Jones. Loeb also played on television shows, movie soundtracks and recordings for Bette Midler, Herbie Hancock, Robin Williams, Norah Jones, Jim Carey, Jennifer Holiday, Curtis Mayfield, Alan Menken, Walter Murphy, Carl Anderson, Bonnie Raitt, Mike Post, Smokey Robinson, Jerry Lewis, Whitney Houston, Connie Francis, W.G. Snuffy Walden, Randy Newman, Dionne Warwick, and many others. He was pianist with Questlove, Ben Wendel, Angela Brown and other musical artists on the Grammy Award-winning recording, “Ask Your Mama,” composed by Laura Karpman, and musical director, conductor and pianist for Ben Vereen with The National Symphony Orchestra, and for Dee Dee Bridgewater with The Philadelphia Orchestra.

At the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas, Loeb was conductor and co-musical director, with Don Was, for the CBS television special, Sinatra 100: An All-Star Grammy Concert, with Tony Bennett, Celine Dion, Harry Connick, Jr., Katharine McPhee, Garth Brooks, Alicia Keys, Seth MacFarlane, Nick Jonas, Carrie Underwood, Usher, John Legend, Tricia Yearwood, Zach Brown, Juanes and Adam Levine, musical director and conductor for Twyla Tharp’s “Sinatra Dance With Me” and Steve Wynn’s “Showstoppers,” and conductor for Lady Gaga’s concert appearance. In Las Vegas at The Smith Center, he performed Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue” with the Las Vegas Philharmonic and was musical director, conductor and pianist for Larry Rosen’s Jazz Roots series with Clint Holmes, Kirk Whalum, Take 6 and Nnenna Freelon. Loeb orchestrated for George Benson, Miriam Makeba, Doc Severinsen, and many others, arranged for the Academy Awards, Comic Relief, and the American Music Awards; and composed for PBS television and Dolly Parton.

Under his direction, UNLV Jazz Studies students earned prestigious DownBeat Magazine Student Music Awards, performed at the acclaimed Monterey Jazz Festival and Midwest Clinic and garnered outstanding CD reviews from JazzTimes Magazine. Loeb received the distinguished Nevada System of Higher Education Regents’ Creative Activity Award and holds a Master of Music degree in jazz and contemporary media from the Eastman School of Music, and a Bachelor of Science in music education from West Chester University of Pennsylvania.

Look for emo rock outfit THE FUNERAL PORTRAIT to release their second full-length album GREETINGS FROM SUFFOCATE CITY via Better Noise Music on September 13. The album’s story arc is told across its 14 tracks (see listing below) which blends religious and violent imagery. It’s a thrilling and evocative mix of the holy and unholy, the sacred and sacrilege. “This album is a statement,” says vocalist LEE JENNINGS. “Its title reflects our conviction, respect, and most importantly, DEVOTION to its message. This record talks of love and loss. Yet through the pain and struggle of it all,” he adds, “we still choose to love, unabashedly, even when it kills us. THE FUNERAL PORTRAIT today, August 2, have released a new industrial-tinged track, “Blood Mother.” JENNINGS says, “This southern-fried riff machine brings a low, pulsing energy to the record. The track’s release marks the start of their U.S. tour supporting Five Finger Death Punch, Marilyn Manson, and Slaughter To Prevail in Hershey, PA. The tour will stretch until September 19 ending in Houston, TX. Next, the band head to Louisville, KY for Louder Than Life (September 28), followed by Aftershock Festival in Sacramento, CA (October 12). Throughout the tour the band will also appear on a handful of one-off shows with Marilyn Manson and Slaughter To Prevail. In addition, the band have announced a special “double feature” night on August 6 in Detroit, Mitch. It consists of a free in-store performance at Rock of Ages from 5-7 PM, followed by a private ghost hunt with the band at Eloise Asylum in Westland, MI starting at 8pm. To celebrate, FINGER ELEVEN have released a brand-new single “Adrenaline,” available today (August 2) digitally. Stream/download it now HERE. Both hard-hitting and musically adventurous, the anthemic track about the thrill of being alive is the first sample of material from the band’s upcoming 2025 album and debut release following their signing to Better Noise Music. The music video for “Adrenaline” will be released later this month on August 23.

“Sonically, I think ‘Adrenaline’ showcases a different side of the band,” says lead vocalist Scott Anderson. “There’s an exciting pulse in the music and I wanted the lyrics to keep up with that same energetic level. ABOUT TENNESSEE JET

Long before Tennessee Jet began crisscrossing America as a one-man band, playing nightly shows full of fuzz guitar, primal percussion, and songs that split the difference between country and raw rock & roll, he traveled the interstates of Oklahoma with his bronc-riding father and barrel-racing mother. Sitting on the bench seat of an old Ford pickup truck pulling a horse trailer while heading to the next rodeo, he’d watch the grasslands of his home state fly past the windshield at highway speed. Country music was always on the radio back then, and those songs — honest, heartfelt classics by icons like Willie Nelson and Dwight Yoakam, both of whom he’d eventually join on tour — left a permanent mark. The Country, Tennessee Jet’s third album, nods to that childhood soundtrack. A salute to the sounds of his youth, these songs double down on Jet’s country and folk influences, without sacrificing the left-of-center approach that’s earned him a reputation as a genre bender. Honky-tonk ballads, twin fiddles, and country two-steps rub shoulders with a Nirvana-inspired rock song (“Johnny,” a tribute to 1950s legend Johnny Horton) and a bluegrass cover of the Black Crowes’ “She Talks to Angels.” The result is a richly textured album that’s both classic and modern in the same breath. This is raw, truthful country music — a reinvention of the sound that’s always formed the bedrock of Tennessee Jet’s artistry, even during his most amplified moments.

“My career has been a constant purging of what I’ve done before, so I can reinvent and create something that’s uniquely me,” says Jet, who kicked off his touring career by taking the stage alone, an electric guitar strapped across his chest and a drum set at his feet, accompanying himself with a one-man fuzz-filled wall of sound. It was an approach that owed as much to rock & roll’s distorted stomp as country music’s twang, and for Jet — an enthusiastic fan of Neil Young and Jack White, two forward-thinking rockers who, like Jet, refuse to be pigeonholed — the contrast between those genres was the whole point.

The Country marks the most collaborative project of Jet’s career. A songwriter, front man, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, he took a do-it-yourself approach to his 2015 debut and 2017’s Reata, both of which found Jet playing every instrument himself. The Country references those early years with songs like the autobiographical “Stray Dogs,” whose lyrics find a young Jet speeding down the Indian Nation Turnpike, his future wife riding shotgun, fueled by a combination of love, truck stop gasoline, and the need to make it to the next show on time. For an album that often pays homage to Jet’s DIY past, though, The Country also finds him teaming up with Dwight Yoakam’s touring band, whose members add Telecaster twang and Cali-country cool to Jet’s raw, ragged edges. Paul Cauthen, Cody Jinks, and Elizabeth Cook all lend a hand, too, duetting with Jet on their respective tracks while also teaming up for an all-hands-on-deck version of “Pancho and Lefty.” Additional guests include longtime Willie Nelson bandmate Mickey Raphael who lends harmonica as well as Lady Gaga bandleader Brian Newman on trumpet.

While The Country may be stocked with star power from the alt-country fringes, it’s Tennessee Jet who shines the brightest. A lifelong explorer who literally grew up on the road, he writes about love, loss, legends, and the pursuit of the muse in a voice that’s at once worldly and distinctly Oklahoman, peppering his lyrics with references to other literary heroes who, like him, shine at showcasing a sense of place: Faulkner, Shakespeare, Kerouac, and Woody Guthrie. Co-produced by the songwriter himself, The Country finds Tennessee Jet occupying his own sort of artistic crossroads, planting one boot in the nostalgic sounds of his past while pointing the other in a direction of his own making. This is his version of country music — a sound that, in Jet’s hands, becomes both fresh and familiar.

Chad Freeman & Redline, established on March 13, 2009, swiftly cultivated a unique sound that resonated locally and beyond. Alternative pop visionary GIA FORD has announced her much-anticipated debut album TRANSPARENT THINGS out September 13 via Chrysalis Records. Recorded in Los Angeles at the renowned Sound City Studios with legendary producer Tony Berg (Phoebe Bridgers’ Stranger in the Alps and Punisher), TRANSPARENT THINGS is an immersive collection that showcases GIA’s ability to craft songs like no other artist of her generation. For GIA, those figures on the fringes of society are by far the most fascinating. Her songs tell the stories of the downtrodden to the downright dangerous. And through them, we begin to hear familiar, uncomfortable truths about ourselves. The theme of alienation runs through the album.

“Most of the characters in these songs are outcasts, all with unique ways of feeling on the periphery, somehow,” GIA says. While each song operates in its own realm, their subject matters create a throughline of eccentricity that turns TRANSPARENT THINGS into an odyssey of outcasts.

“Thematically it has a mythical quality, stemming from the repeated references to creatures, ghosts and undefined spirits. It’s a world of its own, where the characters have more in common than I initially thought was possible.”

Arguably no song better encapsulates the character of “the other” than the newly released single “Paint Me Like a Woman.’” The song is from the perspective of a woman who feels herself morphing into the villain as a result of abuse and mistreatment at the hands of all the men in her life.

GIA explains: “It is a look inside her mind as she feels herself drifting away from who she really is; allowing her rage to weave itself into the fabric of her being. It’s a comment on how we hurt each other, how we change each other, and a question: who gets punished for this terrible nature we have all, to varying degrees, embodied?”
