DYLAN HARTIGAN‘s soul-warming vocals resonate a feeling of being at one with nature and self as he shares a vulnerability in his debut single “My Island,” which is available now across all digital platforms following its premiere yesterday (April 2) via American Songwriter. The heartfelt single will be included on DYLAN‘s debut 10-track album (as-yet-untitled) due later this fall. The album was co-produced by Grammy-nominated producer Bobby Holland (ZZ Ward, Kesha, Drake White) in Nashville alongside rock n soul artist Maggie Rose.

On “My Island,” DYLAN‘s distinctive Americana-inspired indie folk melodies and thought-provoking lyrics shine as he tells the story of the world as if it were a person.

“I wanted to create a song that humanizes the world by bringing awareness to the planet as a living being–by turning myself into it. It is the story of a stolen heart,” shares DYLAN. “A woman washes up on shore and comes into this man’s life and steals him away from the woman he loves. However, with her success comes the fear of the same thing happening to her. So…unfortunately, the island gets taken over.”

DYLAN was raised in a family of musicians that played for nothing other than the love of music. He says that “music is something my family has built happiness on. I grew up surrounded by love every second music was on.” He has been an entertainer since childhood, having pursued acting at an early age with supporting roles in The Stepford Wives (2004) aside Nicole Kidman and Matthew Broderick and the coming-of-age film Funeral Kings (2012) plus appearances on TV shows including “The Black Donnellys” (2007) and “Law & Order”(2008). With a desire to explore his passion for music, he tried out for Season 14 of NBC’s “The Voice” reality singing competition and made it all the way to live performances, earning praise from such national outlets as the Hollywood Reporter which described him as “soulful and charming [with] impressive range.”

Post-Punk Band SMALL PLANETS Release Music Video/EP In Aid Of Homeless Crisis In LA

SHARE NEW MUSIC VIDEO IN AID OF HOMELESS CRISIS IN LOS ANGELES

Los Angeles-based post-punk quintet SMALL PLANETS last winter released their self-titled debut album which was mastered by the multi-Grammy Award-winning engineer Andy Walter (David Bowie, The Who, The Cure) at the legendary Abbey Road studios in London, UK. Yesterday, March 26, the band partnered with Buzzbands LA–which describe them as “propulsive rockers (think Interpol) with dark, dreamier tracks”–to announce the release of a digital EP of the album’s track “E” today, March 27, and premiere the touching music video for the remixed version “E (Shhadows Mix)” seen below.

The music video for “E (Shhadows Mix)” raises awareness to the homeless crisis plaguing Los Angeles. To combat this issue, 5% of all sales from E will be donated to The Sidewalk Project, a non-profit homeless organization in Los Angeles who use art, music and film to create community and wellness for those who live outdoors. The band will also match the total amount raised over 90 days.

The EP also includes the previously unheard song “Winter” which alongside the remix was mastered by drummer Simon Scott of Slowdive. Their show at Ace Theater in Los Angeles in 2015 inspired the formation of SMALL PLANETS.

Taking their cue from iconic bands such as Interpol, Joy Division and The Cure, SMALL PLANETS have developed an instantly recognizable sound by combining their distinctive brand of darkened post-punk with striking vocals from lead vocalist Jessica Hernandez.

“E is truly about taking ownership of your next steps and not letting past mistakes define your future,” remarks guitarist Jeff Love. “It’s literally all about hope, which I feel ties well into the overall theme of this release-helping and raising awareness to the homeless crisis that Los Angeles is currently facing.”

Soulful and fearless Americana/country-rock artist HEATHER ANNE LOMAX (formerly known as Michael-Ann) has shared the electrifying and colorful music video for her single “Better Luck” after it was premiered via Memphis-based DittyTV last Monday, March 16 here.

The uplifting self-empowerment manifesto “Better Luck” will be featured on the Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter and guitarist’s new album ALL THIS TIME (due May 1) and was recorded with the sonics of Elvis Presley’s “Sun Sessions” and the American Sound Studios “From Elvis In Memphis” in mind.

The “Better Luck” track, with its captivatingly insistent rhythm, soaring fiddle work and vocal chants, was originally premiered via American Songwriter (2/4/2020). Senior Editor Paul Zollo described HEATHER as: “One of the most expressive vocalists around, she combines the sweet folky purity of Joan Baez with the rocking soul of Janis Joplin with hints of Patsy Cline and Linda Ronstadt.” “Better Luck” was also picked by The Alternate Root as one of “The Top Ten Songs of the Week” (2/19/2020).

Earlier this year, HEATHER brought her fiery energetic live show to The Canyon Club in Santa Clarita to open for WAR. Soulful indie folk/Americana artist DYLAN HARTIGAN, a New Jersey-bred singer, songwriter and guitarist, will join esteemed rock n soul artist Maggie Rose for a handful of shows this April on the East Coast (itinerary below). Rose co-produced DYLAN‘s upcoming album alongside Grammy nominated producer Bobby Holland (ZZ Ward, Kesha, Drake White) in Nashville. Following recent cancellations by major corporations, artists, record companies and studios because of the ongoing threat of the coronavirus, OZZY OSBOURNE has likewise decided to cancel his upcoming appearance at SXSW.

OSBOURNE was scheduled to attend SXSW in support of the world premiere screening of “Biography: The Nine Lives of Ozzy Osbourne,” a two-hour documentary special exploring the many lives and decade-spanning career of the rock legend which is set to air this summer on A&E.

The “THE NINE LIVES OF OZZY OSBOURNE” documentary will trace his life from his childhood in poverty and time in prison, to fronting Black Sabbath and successful solo career, to becoming one of rock’s elder statesman and a loveable 21^st century television dad. During his journey, Ozzy has continually reinvented himself and his career to propel himself toward greater success. As the Grammy-winning artist turns 70, he reflects on the intimate details of his successes, failures, and his unique ability for survival and perseverance. The documentary also features interviews with Sharon, Kelly and Jack Osbourne as well as friends and fellow musicians including Rick Rubin, Ice-T, Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, Jonathan Davis, Post Malone and more.

TOMMY EMMANUEL, the acclaimed and Grammy-nominated acoustic guitarist, singer and songwriter, will release a newly recorded career-spanning double album on May 8, THE BEST OF TOMMYSONGS, via CGP Sounds/Cruzen Street Records. TOMMY has already shared the video for the album’s first single, “Fuel,” available this Friday, March 6. Guitar Player magazine premiered the “Fuel” video this past Wednesday.

Joshua Britt and Neilson Hubbard with Neighborhoods Apart Productions directed and edited the “Fuel” video, which was shot in a rural old home in Franklin, KY. Some of the footage was shot with TOMMY‘s own I-Phone as he was traveling throughout Asia. Says TOMMY about writing the song:

“I boarded a train in Paris, France to ride the rails to Cologne, Germany. Looking out the window, I saw a billboard for ‘Harry Potter World,’ that set me in motion. I got my guitar out and started looking for cinematic chords and ideas. Three hours later, I had the entire song written and was practicing it up. I had no title at that stage and when I played it for a friend he asked “what’s fueling this emotion?” Immediately I reacted, “You just gave me the title, ‘Fuel’! Even though there’s time changes and odd bars in the song, you can actually tap time straight through it. In my own way, this is a small attempt at paying homage to Mason Williams, the brilliant composer of ‘Classical Gas.'”

THE BEST OF TOMMYSONGS is a double album that features some of Tommy Emmanuel’s best original songs. Emmanuel solely wrote, produced, and recorded all the tracks on this record. Emmanuel has been playing some of these songs for over 30 years, and they have evolved over time. He wanted to rerecord them to suite the modern arrangements and to make them sound bigger than ever. ABOUT TOMMY EMMANUEL:

TOMMY EMMANUEL has achieved enough musical milestones to satisfy several lifetimes. At the age of six, he was touring regional Australia with his family band. By 30, he was a rock n’ roll lead guitarist burning up stadiums in Europe. At 44, he became one of five people ever named a Certified Guitar Player by his idol, music icon Chet Atkins. Today, he plays hundreds of sold-out shows every year from Nashville to Sydney to London. He’s piled up numerous accolades, including two Grammy Award nominations, two ARIA Awards from the Australian Recording Industry Association (the Aussie equivalent of the Recording Academy) and repeated honors in the Guitar Player magazine reader’s poll including a cover story for their August 2017 issue. A noted fingerstyle guitarist, EMMANUEL frequently threads three different parts simultaneously into his material, operating as a one-man band who handles the melody, the supporting chords and the bass all at once. His talents, which translate in any language, carry him to the far corners of the globe, but EMMANUEL never plays the same show twice, and he improvises big chunks of every date. That leaves him open to those technical imperfections, though they also provide some of the humanity to an other-worldly talent.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Grammy®-winning singer and songwriter OZZY OSBOURNE‘s first new solo album in ten years, the critically acclaimed ORDINARY MAN (Epic Records), is the #1 rock album in the world, topping multiple charts in its triumphant first week of release.

In the U.S., the album entered the Billboard charts at #3 on the Top 200 chart, #2 on the Top Album Sales chart (making it his highest charting album ever on the tally, surpassing his No. 3 peak with Black Rain) and #1 on the Billboard Top Rock Albums Chart. This marks OZZY‘s fifth consecutive Top 5 entry and sixth Top 10 entry on the Top 200 chart. It also places ahead of his most recent offering, SCREAM, which arrived at #4 in 2010.

Worldwide, ORDINARY MAN has entered the charts in the Top Ten in seven countries making it the highest charting album of OZZY‘s career. It debuted at #3 on the U.K. chart, breaking OZZY‘s previous peak on the charts 40 years ago for Blizzard of Ozz (which peaked at #7). OZZY also demolished his highest chart position in Australia, debuting at #4 and cracking the Top 10 there for the first time in his career. OZZY secured his solo career’s highest marks in Germany as well, coming in at #2. Elsewhere, the album earned Top Ten positions in Sweden at #1, the U.S. #3, Italy #6 and Ireland #6.

To celebrate the album’s arrival, OZZY made history by launching a worldwide tattoo sale and album listening event. Held on the eve of the album’s release (February 20), OZZY premiered his new album simultaneously at tattoo parlors in 57 cities around the world–making it the largest multi-city album release event in rock ‘n’ roll history. Globally more than 3,000 fans received exclusive OZZY-inspired tattoos created specifically for the one-day only event while hearing the album for the first time.
