CROSSBONE SKULLY
PARTNERS
WITH ERNIE BOCH JR.
FOR SUBARU OF NEW ENGLAND TV CAMPAIGN
FEATURING BAND’S REBELLIOUS ANTHEM
“THE BOOM WENT THE BOOM (FEAT. PHIL COLLEN OF DEF LEPPARD)”

CROSSBONE SKULLY—the powerful new rock group led by mastermind Tommy Henriksen, guitarist and musical director for Alice Cooper’s band & member of Hollywood Vampires—are thrilled to announce a partnership with acclaimed businessman Ernie Boch Jr., President and CEO of Subaru of New England, to feature their recent hit track “The Boom Went The Boom (feat. Phil Collen of Def Leppard)” in an upcoming advertising campaign. The TV campaign is in promotion of the new 2023 Subaru WRX and will continue to air over the next three months in Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine. Check it out HERE.

When we heard Crossbone Skully’s ‘The Boom Went The Boom,’ we knew we had found the soundtrack for the Subaru WRX,” says BOCH JR. “The intense energy and heavy guitar mirrored the bold thrills and fierce performance of the WRX—setting the tone for an adrenaline rush. The moment the music kicks in, it gives a taste of the exhilaration you get behind the wheel of the Subaru WRX. ‘The Boom Went The Boom’ felt like the perfect choice.”

CROSSBONE SKULLY’s dynamic sound and captivating lyrics are highlighted across their three consecutive track releases: “Evil World Machine,” “The Boom Went The Boom (feat. Phil Collen),” and “I’m Unbreakable.” The tracks will surpass 1,000,000 combined streams this month as CROSSBONE SKULLY’s streaming success has been on an upward trajectory with a noteworthy 1,350% growth from September 2023 to January 2024. Official lyric and music videos for all three songs have to date established a combined total of over 600,000 views. CROSSBONE SKULLY has also showcased their dedication to global fans by providing translated lyric videos in Spanish, Portuguese, French, and German.

CROSSBONE SKULLY will release their debut album later this year via Better Noise Music. HENRIKSEN convinced legendary producer Mutt Lange (AC/DC, Def Leppard) to emerge from retirement to executive produce the album along with enlisting a first-class lineup of musicians and his celebrity friends and bandmates for its recording sessions. These guests included Johnny Depp, Alice Cooper, Nikki Sixx, Joe Perry, Phil Collen and Kane Roberts; along with first-class recording musicians including Tommy Denander (Alice Cooper), Jamie Muhoberac (My Chemical Romance, John Mayer, Seal), Chris Wyse (Hollywood Vampires, Ace Frehley, the Cult, Ozzy Osbourne), Glen Sobel (Alice Cooper, Hollywood Vampires), the late UFO bassist Pete Way and producer/mixer Mike Plotnikoff (AC/DC, Cher, Aerosmith).

CROSSBONE SKULLY’s live band will consist of HENRIKSEN and WYSE alongside a who’s who of upcoming talent seen in the music video for “I’m Unbreakable” in November. The additional lineup consists of guitarists Sam “Bam” Koltun (Dorothy, Faster Pussycat, Budderside) and Anna Cara—who Henriksen found after seeing her viral YouTube guitar cover videos—and Tuesdai on drums. Watch the “I’m Unbreakable” music video HERE.

Throughout the next few months, CROSSBONE SKULLY will release a series of limited-edition 7” vinyl singles with the first of the series having been announced, with the release of “The Boom Went The Boom (feat. Phil Collen of Def Leppard)” last October. Available through their merch store at CrossboneSkully.com, the first 7” single will feature “I’m Unbreakable” as its B-side track. The 7” will also come with a limited-edition signed copy of CROSSBONE SKULLY’sThing #1” ashcan comic. Proceeds from the sale of the limited edition 7” vinyl will be donated to the 501(c)(3) charity MusiCares who offer preventive, emergency, and recovery programs for musicians and music industry workers in times of need.

We’re all warriors just dealing with the bullshit of everyday life that we all gotta deal with. “Crooked Politicians and frauds, with such big balls. I’ll see you in hell”

CROSSBONE SKULLY—the exciting new multidimensional project led by mastermind Tommy Henriksen (guitarist and musical director for Alice Cooper’s band & member of Hollywood Vampires)—have today (October 6) released their incendiary new single “The Boom Went The Boom,” featuring Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen, across digital platforms. The track is the second taste of new music from CROSSBONE SKULLY’s debut album due in 2024 via Better Noise Music. Legendary producer Mutt Lange emerged from retirement to executive produce the album and was reunited with Collen on this track after having produced and co-wrote several of Def Leppard’s monumental albums. “The Boom Went The Boom” is available today digitally HERE and a lyric video highlighting its rebellious message is streaming HERE or below. A music video for the song will be premiered on Friday, October 13 which will reveal the lineup for CROSSBONE SKULLY’s live band.

CROSSBONE SKULLY also announced the first of what will be a series of limited-edition 7” vinyl singles. This first 7” vinyl will feature “The Boom Went The Boom (feat. Phil Collen of Def Leppard)” and a yet-to-be-announced B-side track and will be available exclusively to order through the band’s Spotify page HERE. Each will come with a limited-edition signed copy of CROSSBONE SKULLY’sThing #1” ashcan comic. Proceeds from the sale of the limited edition 7” vinyl will be donated to the 501(c)(3) charity MusiCares who offer preventive, emergency, and recovery programs for musicians and music industry workers in times of need.

Describing the new track, HENRIKSEN says: “Like dynamite beneath deceit, ‘The Boom Went The Boom’ reveals the truth’s explosive power in song, shattering masks and echoing the reckoning of lies, for when trust erodes, The Misfits Will Rise!”

“I love the Crossbone Skully record and I’ve always loved Tommy’s voice, especially as we’ve got to sing live together a few times,” shares COLLEN. “I’ve always wanted to hear that voice on something like this, so here it is, finally! I’m totally thrilled to be a part of it!”

CROSSBONE SKULLY’s debut single “Evil World Machine” was originally released on the soundtrack for the 2022 thriller The Retaliators (Better Noise Films) and its music video was premiered later that year at Fan Expo in San Francisco. CROSSBONE SKULLY also represents the band’s mascot and main character of their graphic novel and animated film, “Thing #1,” which were also revealed at Fan Expo. For the film, HENRIKSEN enlisted several of his bandmates and friends for voiceovers on both the album and the upcoming film including A-list actor Johnny Depp and rock icons including Alice Cooper, Nikki Sixx, Joe Perry and Kane Roberts.

The forthcoming debut album features HENRIKSEN on vocals and bass and was recorded by a sterling group of musicians including guitarist Tommy Denander (Alice Cooper), keyboardist Jamie Muhoberac (My Chemical Romance, John Mayer, Seal), bassist Chris Wyse (Hollywood Vampires, Ace Frehley, the Cult, Ozzy Osbourne), drummer Glen Sobel (Alice Cooper, Hollywood Vampires), the late UFO bassist Pete Way and producer/mixer Mike Plotnikoff (AC/DC, Cher, Aerosmith).

There’s more excitement in the world of CROSSBONE SKULLY, currently buzzing with the pulverizing “Evil World Machine” track and the intense animated video, both of which are setting the stage for the release of a debut album in 2023 via Better Noise Music.

Today (December 9), CROSSBONE SKULLY—an exciting multi-dimensional project that’s the brainchild of guitarist/bassist/vocalist Tommy Henriksen (Alice Cooper’s Band/Member of Hollywood Vampires which includes Johnny Depp)—have released a new version of the “Evil World Machine” video, directed and animated by Riley Donahue (“Saturday Night Live”). It’s an edited version of the song’s extended video to match the edited version of the track. Watch what is now known as the song’s “official” video here: https://crossboneskully.ffm.to/ewmofficialvideo.

CROSSBONE SKULLY is Henriksen’s carefully crafted character—an avenging superhero—and the character’s world, which inspired its own upcoming graphic novel and animated film, “Thing #1.” CROSSBONE SKULLY begins his journey to rescue humanity on “Evil World Machine,” which confronts the evil currency of the world. Legendary producer Mutt Lange (AC/DC, Def Leppard) emerged from retirement to serve as executive producer on the album which was written by Henriksen and guitarist/producer Tommy Denander.

Henriksen serves as lead vocalist and bassist on the album. Rounding out the band’s lineup are Denander, keyboardist Jamie Muhoberac (My Chemical Romance, John Mayer, Seal), bassist Chris Wyse (Hollywood Vampires, Ace Frehley, the Cult, Ozzy Osbourne), drummer Glen Sobel (Alice Cooper, Hollywood Vampires), the late UFO bassist Pete Way, producer/mixer Mike Plotnikoff (AC/DC, Aerosmith) and mixer Olle Romo (Muse, Bryan Adams). For the “Thing #1” animated short film, Henriksen enlisted voiceover talent from Hollywood A-lister and Hollywood Vampires bandmate Johnny Depp (The Sorcerer), and an impressive list of rock royalty including Alice Cooper (The Bringer of Light), Joe Perry (Big Bad Bone Crusher), Nikki Sixx (The Crooked Crow) and Kane Roberts (Alpha Watchman), just to name a few.

“This has been an amazing journey,” says Henriksen, who began the project almost four years ago. “If you had told me back then that I’d be working with the greatest producer who ever lived, I wouldn’t have believed it.”

CROSSBONE SKULLY will be engaging fans with more music from the album, which delivers a powerful message in today’s global climate, inviting people of all backgrounds to coexist and break down oppressive barriers. Additionally, Henriksen’s vision for CROSSBONE SKULLY will continue to unfold, culminating in the release of the band’s debut album in 2023.

Artist Quotes:

Alice Cooper: “It’s about time someone recognized Crossbone Skully. Skully and I go way back. Crossbone Skully has written a galactic masterpiece about one of the most mysterious characters of the cosmos. Is he a villain or a hero? I don’t know. Maybe a little of both. All I know is don’t cross Crossbone Skully. This album rocks every galaxy out there.”

Nikki Sixx: “I’m thrilled to be involved in the Crossbone Skully project. The music is hard hitting and real as it aligns with an original concept.  To be part of this project with this group of legends is inspirational and I know it’s gonna kick ass!”

ABOUT CROSSBONE SKULLY
Crossbone Skully is an avenging superhero from outer space, returning to earth to save the world and reconnect with his lost deity love Piper and Kyd, the son he never knew he had. Evil World Machine is a rock concept album that echoes similar dystopian visions such as Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars and Diamond Dogs. The project, influenced by larger-than-life bands such as AC/DC, Alice Cooper, KISS, Iron Maiden and even the Sex Pistols, is the work of a collaborative team headed by veteran rock session bassist/guitarist Tommy Henriksen and Tommy Denander alongside the legendary Mutt Lange, who emerged from retirement to executive produce the project.

With a long history Henriksen has also had a successful side career as a producer/mixer/arranger and songwriter for the likes of Lady Gaga, Meat Loaf, Lou Reed, Halestorm, Kesha and Daughtry. His metamorphosis into Crossbone Skully started when Alice Cooper’s lighting man, who used to work for AC/DC, heard him singing like Bon Scott and successor Brian Johnson during a sound check–and suggested he build a solo project around it.

The sterling group of supporting musicians includes guitarist Tommy Denander (who introduced him to Mutt Lange after collaborating on Alice Cooper’s 2017 album Paranormal with Bob Ezrin), keyboardist Jamie Muhoberac (My Chemical Romance, John Mayer, Seal), bassist Chris Wyse (Hollywood Vampires, Ace Frehley, the Cult, Ozzy Osbourne) and drummer Glen Sobel (Alice Cooper, Hollywood Vampires), the late UFO bassist Pete Way, mixer Olle Romo (Muse, Bryan Adams) and producer/mixer Mike Plotnikoff (AC/DC, Aerosmith), who helped get him noticed by Allen Kovac’s Better Noise Records. Making spoken-word appearances are Johnny Depp as the voice of “The Sorcerer,” along with Alice Cooper as “The Bringer of Light,” Joe Perry as “Big Bad Bone Crusher” and Nikki Sixx as “The Crooked Crow,” with Kane Roberts as “Alpha Watchman,” among other guests. Henriksen developed the voice of Crossbone Skully with a vocal app that makes him sound like a disembodied Stephen Hawking. Iconic creative/art director Mark Wilkinson, who designed for Iron Maiden, Marillion, Judas Priest and The Darkness, created the Crossbone Skully album cover.

“It’s about time someone recognized Crossbone Skully,” says Alice Cooper. “Skully and I go way back. Crossbone Skully has written a galactic masterpiece about one of the most mysterious characters of the cosmos. Is he a villain or a hero? I don’t know. Maybe a little of both. All I know is don’t cross Crossbone Skully. This album rocks every galaxy out there.”

Nikki Sixx says, “I’m thrilled to be involved in the Crossbone Skully project. The music is hard hitting and real as it aligns with an original concept.  To be part of this project with this group of legends is inspirational and I know it’s gonna kick ass!”

The two rock legends are talking about the debut album from CROSSBONE SKULLY, due out on Better Noise Music in 2023. It’s an exciting multi-dimensional project that was launched last Friday (November 18) with the album’s first single, the blazing “Evil World Machine,” available to stream and download HERE.

This Saturday (November 26), the video, directed and animated by Riley Donahue (“Saturday Night Live”), will premiere live at the San Francisco Fan Expo, followed by a YouTube premiere at 7:00 PM (ET) HERE. Fans will get their first look at Tommy Henriksen’s carefully crafted character “CROSSBONE SKULLY,” and the character’s world, which inspired its own upcoming graphic novel and animated film, “Thing #1.”

CROSSBONE SKULLY is an avenging superhero, beginning his journey to rescue humanity on “Evil World Machine,” which confronts the evil currency of the world. Legendary producer Mutt Lange (AC/DC, Def Leppard) emerged from retirement to serve as executive producer on the album which was written by guitarist/bassist Tommy Henriksen (Alice Cooper’s Band / Member of Hollywood Vampires which includes Johnny Depp) and guitarist/producer Tommy Denander.
