SABATON (@sabatonofficial)—the #1 Global Power Metal Band and one of Sweden’s most successful bands—is ready to ignite a new era with the highly anticipated release of their 11^th studio album LEGENDS. Throughout the aptly titled LEGENDS, which blends rock and history for fans of all ages, SABATON—Joakim Brodén (vocals), Pär Sundström (bass), Chris Rörland (guitar), Thobbe Englund (guitar), Hannes Van Dahl (drums)—delve into some of history’s greatest and most loved characters such as Jeanne D’arc (also known as Joan of Arc), Napoleon Bonaparte, Julius Caesar, and the legendary swordmaster Miyamoto Musashi.

As a special celebratory gift to their legions of loyal fans around the world, SABATON—to coincide with the long-awaited announcement of their new album—is releasing not one, but two brand new songs from LEGENDS, available today (July 25) on all digital outlets. LEGENDS will be available across various different physical formats and retailer exclusives including CD, 2 CD digibook, 2 CD earbook (both including the exclusive Storyteller Edition), 11 unique vinyl editions (including a special vinyl color and exclusive artwork each), additional exclusive vinyl colors and a limited box set (including another exclusive vinyl color, the 2 CD earbook, and a colored cassette as an exclusive format).

Amongst 11 unique vinyl editions, each one portraying one legendary figure, LEGENDS will be available as the “Hannibal Edition” and the “Miyamoto Musashi Edition,” which are linked to today’s song releases for “Lightning at the Gates” (Hannibal) and “The Duelist” (Miyamoto Musashi). LEGENDS is a rock odyssey that transcends time and borders, with melodic guitar riffs, goosebump-inducing choirs, and epic choruses. It marks a bold evolution in storytelling, plunging headfirst into the heart of history’s most formidable and enigmatic figures. These are not just rock songs, they are battle hymns carved from the blood and legacy of warriors, kings, strategists, and revolutionaries.

It marks the very first time that every band member has come together to contribute to the songwriting process. This is SABATON as you’ve never heard them before—relentless and unbound. LEGENDS is a global journey through the annals of warfare, leadership and unbreakable will.

“We can finally announce that our 11th studio album LEGENDS is coming out on October 17th!” says bassist Pär Sundström. “11 tracks that cover 11 iconic legendary stories. This time we look further back in history than we have been the past few years, going to times that I think are very exciting. As someone who’s always been into the history of the Middle Ages, knights and the legends of old, it felt incredible to finally bring those stories into the SABATON universe.”

“Music collectors will be happy to hear that you are now able to pre-order our LEGENDS album in all formats imaginable, including digital, CD, vinyl and a cassette tape that will be featured in a box set,” says singer Joakim Brodén. “Apart from the usual suspects, there are multiple cool editions available, and we have a bunch of cool vinyls, each corresponding to a legend.”

Bassist Pär Sundström continues, “We’re all about telling stories through our songs, so we thought, why not do the same with our vinyls? Instead of just making them a cool color, we wanted them to actually tell a story too. That’s why we decided to name them after the legendary figures featured on the album. It just felt like the perfect way to make them more special. We hope all the physical music collectors out there love the concept! We took the idea from the community and tweaked it ourselves!”

SABATON have always had a signature focus on writing songs about historical battles, wars, and acts of heroism that have solidified their impact with their loyal and longtime fans. They’ve collaborated closely with its network of specialists, developed over the years since the launch of the Sabaton History Channel on YouTube, to make sure this new album is once again as close to reality as possible.

Joakim Brodén continues, “Legends have always been woven into our music, and the HEROES album is the perfect example of that! I’m incredibly proud of HEROES and everything it stands for, so LEGENDS is just a natural next step. It’s like the story continues but goes way back in time. We’re excited to finally be taking our listeners on a new journey! Here’s to another chapter in Sabaton’s story!”

They continue to work with graphic artist Peter Sallai to create the striking album artwork, and producer Jonas Kjellgren is once again behind the boards from his Swedish Black Lounge Studios to create the classic SABATON sound the band is now known for.

Two songs have already been released from LEGENDS: “Hordes of Khan” (June 6) and “Templars” (April 25):

In the more than two decades since the band’s launch, SABATON has headlined major festivals, sold-out arena concerts worldwide, and gained a legion of loyal fans by carving out a reputation for being one of the hardest working bands in the business. Since their 2005 debut album, they’ve earned Gold, Platinum, and multi-Platinum certifications in territories around the world with their 10 studio albums. Eight of their albums scored Top 10 international chart status, and six claimed the Top 5. SABATON has earned eight Metal Hammer/Golden Gods Awards nominations, taking home the award for “Breakthrough Artist” in 2011 and “Best Live Band” in three different years, and a Grammis nomination (Swedish equivalent to the U.S. Grammy Award) as Best Heavy Metal band. ABOUT EVAN CYOTE

Born and raised in North Florida, Evan grew up devoting her life to competing and training ranch horses. After moving to Nashville in 2022 to try her hand in the music industry, she quickly realized this was the business for her. Evan learned through her passions; in order to succeed she needed grit, patience, and the ability to stare fear in the face and do it anyways. You can find all these qualities woven into the songs she’s written and her strong stage performance. Evan has big plans for the future and doesn’t plan on slowing down anytime soon.

ABOUT BRODIE STEWART

Brodie Stewart grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and Sacramento and spent his summers in Red Bluff, California. At a young age, his favorite things to do were going to the rodeo, listening to country music, singing and playing guitar. Soon enough, Brodie formed and fronted a southern rock band and had the good fortune of touring the country opening up for big artists in front of sold-out arenas. His band even charted on Billboard.

With his southern rock roots, Brodie returned to what he loved the most, “country music.” While writing songs for his own album, Brodie also wrote and produced songs for various other artists, such as “Sweet Isabel”, recorded by Enrique Iglesias for his (Interscope Records) release entitled “Insomniac”. Shortly after placing Sweet Isabel with Enrique, Martin Kierszenbaum (President of Cherrytree/Interscope Records) signed Brodie to a song/production deal with the label. Quickly following, Brodie signed a publishing deal with Warner Chappell Music Publishing. Since that time, Brodie has written and produced several tracks for various artists.

Currently, 100% of Brodie’s attention is on his Country music endeavors. On his debut album “Born American”, Brodie teamed up with guitarist/producer/songwriter “Adam Shoenfeld” (Jason Aldean, Tim McGraw, Luke Bryan, Keith Urban, Jake Owen, Big and Rich, Florida Georgia Line and many more) to co-produce and play on the album along with several top players, including working with one great engineer, Aaron Chmielewski in Nashville. In addition to gearing up promotion for his “Debut Album”, Brodie’s “high octane show” has been touring the West Coast.

When asked about his “Debut Album”, Brodie states, “I’ve found my place in Country Music where my heart has always been. The great lyrics, honesty, passion and one kick *** party is what it’s all about!”

Get ready to rewind the clock at Stoney’s Rockin’ Country for Country Rewind – a throwback night filled with your favorite 90s and early 2000s country hits with DJ Manda. The intimate room with a big sound, featuring an upgraded sound system, has now announced its August lineup of shows: Saints of Las Vegas (classic rock tribute band, August 9), Chalk Outline (Three Days Grace Tribute) & Godsmack’D – Godsmack Tribute, August 16), The Bones (original Las Vegas-based band, August 23), and Classic Chaos (classic rock tribute band, August 30). The 18+ venue has a capacity of 150-200 (depending on the layout), with areas designed for both seating and standing. A full-service bar is available with well drinks priced at $10-12 and beers between $5-7. Self-parking and valet parking at the Tuscany are always complimentary.

The song and video mirror the themes of destruction, resilience, and human disconnection at the heart of “Modern Life.” ELIZMA watched from Louisiana, as the never-ending headlines of war, climate collapse, and political unrest rolled across her feed. Feeling completely saturated and anxious, she wrote “Modern Life” as a way to cope.

Blending atmospheric soundscapes with poignant, truth-driven lyricism, “Modern Life” explores themes of disconnection, injustice, and spiritual reckoning. The song was produced by Jeff Glixman (Kansas, Black Sabbath) and mastered by Grammy-nominated Vlado Meller (Metallica, Celine Dion), adding sonic depth to its already powerful message.

The track culminates in a striking final chorus, layered with haunting harmonies of “Ave Maria”—a last-minute addition inspired by a personal moment of prayer for immigrant mothers separated from their children. The chant, woven into the fabric of the song, transforms “Modern Life” from protest into prayer.

Rooted in raw vulnerability and resilience, ELIZMA’s genre-fluid style merges alt-pop, rock, and spiritual undertones. Her music reflects a journey through addiction, healing, and self-discovery—using art not just to entertain, but to awaken.

ELIZMA elaborates on “Modern Life”:

Q: What inspired you to write “Modern Life?”

A: “I couldn’t stand seeing our people allow corruption to win against truth or being too distracted to care. Watching families being torn apart by ICE; knowing our food is filled with micro plastics and harmful additives; people buying cheap clothes they don’t need, while the people who make them get paid $5 a day in a foreign country like China—all just to throw it in a landfill and pollute the Earth for generations to come. My heart was heavy with the awareness of it all and the great sadness that we (our country) aren’t doing enough to help our brothers and sisters. This song is a prayer as much as it is a plea to humanity’s conscience packaged into something more digestible. We say, ‘what can I do, I’m just one person?’ But Jesus would not accept that answer.”

Q: Why was the decision made to include an “Ava Maria” chorus at the end of the song?

A: “The idea to write about Mary came after the song was already almost completely produced. We were thinking about adding some sort of chant in the end but weren’t sure what to fill the space with. The day before Mother’s Day, I prayed a rosary with some friends from church asking for Mary’s intercession specifically on the mothers who are being separated from their children during ICE raids. As we prayed the rosary, we sang the short ‘Ave Maria’ part from ‘Immaculate Mary’ during each stage of the sorrowful mysteries. A few days later that same melody found its way into my head while I was listening to the song. I realized it was almost the exact notes I already recorded for the harmonies on the chorus, so I tried the ‘Ave Maria’ part at the end of the song. Jeff [Glixman] and I agreed it was perfect for the song, so we stacked the harmony vocals at the end. We had no AC in the studio as we recorded those parts…we couldn’t even crack the windows as temperatures reached 90 degrees in the office. We were not letting that stop us from getting this song done before we made the trip to Vlado’s to get it mastered.”

As the album’s opener “Lucky 13” sets the tone for the album, its blazing riff, blistering guitar solo and rapturous horns complemented by a similarly irresistible video featuring the full 13-piece band.

“This was the first song I had written for this new album and kinda set the tone,” says DD, primarily known as bassist/songwriter with thrash metal pioneers Overkill. “Everything the band is about, cool riffs, great horn arrangements by Jim McMillen. Really wanted the first song and video to let people know again where the heart of the band is.” For the video, he adds, “This is really where this music comes alive…on stage! I can just feel the energy and vibe. So fun to be a part of! This was a really fun day, lots of laughs with a good bunch of guys and gals.”

“I was watching ‘Casino’ or maybe an old Dean Martin movie,” DD adds of the song’s inspiration. “I love the idea of being at the craps table with your girl and she’s blowing on the dice, you’re having a few drinks, and your buddies are around. You really don’t care whether you win or lose–you just want to be with the girl!”

BUCKLE UP brings the storm-the-stage ethic of Overkill to DD’s lifelong love of Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Fats Domino and, more recently, the Brian Setzer Orchestra. BUCKLE UP picks up and goes further than their exciting 2021 debut album Let’s Rattle, on which DD sang and played red hot guitar. BUCKLE UP retains all its predecessor’s verve and vitality while adding more evolved horn arrangements written by Jim McMillen, known for his work on TV’s “Beverly Hills 90210” and “Bridgerton,” and with Grammy-winning artists Christina Aguilera and Ricky Kej.

“When I’m writing and demoing these songs, it’s just a guitar and me,” DD explained. “And they should be able to have that energy with just that, before anything else is added.”

Indeed, DD’s fun-first rocker’s approach and robust songcraft has attracted a who’s-who of musicians to the Cadillac Band, intrigued by its stylistic nuances and go-for-broke ethos. BUCKLE UP features longtime Brian Setzer drummer Bernie Dresel and slap bassist Johnny Hatton; horn players with Paul McCartney’s band and The Eagles; pianist Or Matias (Josh Groban/Broadway music director); guitarist Angus Clark (Trans-Siberian Orchestra); and backing vocals by acclaimed pop-rock duo Kingston and GreyStarr. Recorded in New Jersey and Los Angeles, BUCKLE UP was produced by DD and mixed by Michael Frondelli (Billy Idol, Pat Benatar etc.)
