NYC-based BLACK SATELLITE artfully fuse industrial and metal influences to create a sound that’s dark, edgy, and distinctly their own. Look no further than the third single and video “Doom or Die”—out today (October 10)—from their self-released second full-length album AFTERMATH, which arrived September 5. “‘Doom or Die’ was a particularly fun song to write,” says singer, songwriter, and frontwoman Larissa Vale. “I wanted to go in a completely different direction and write a party song for the end of the world! In a way it’s like assuming an alter ego and getting to explore a concept from an entirely new angle that functions outside of mundane reality.”

The video was shot in the Nevada desert’s scorching heat. “We shot the video in Las Vegas, which was our first time doing a video on the west coast,” says Vale. “Conveniently enough, we didn’t have to pretend to appear stranded in the middle of the desert. We really did feel like we were fighting for our lives in the middle of summer in Vegas, which in hindsight, probably wasn’t the smartest thing to do!”

“Doom or Die” comes on the heels of the sonically intense and lyrically unflinching second single, “Kill For You,” which was released September 4 along with a captivating video (HERE). The first single, “Downfall,” was released May 7 accompanied by a haunting video (HERE).

Ben Grosse (Marilyn Manson, Breaking Benjamin, Filter) mixed the bulk of AFTERMATH with Kane Churko (Papa Roach, In This Moment) producing and mixing/mastering the album’s three singles. Femmemetalwebzine.net recently described the album as, “Fusing industrial and metal influences, their music transcends conventional boundaries solidifying their place in the genre.”

AFTERMATH marks the follow-up to the band’s debut album, ENDLESS, hailed by Alternative Press as one of their “12 Bands You Need To Know.” They cited, “provocative sound and captivating alt-rock essence,” while Billboard described the title track noted that “The sound of ‘Endless’ s absolutely huge…Syrupy vocal hooks abound, drizzled over whole mountain ranges of studio-shined guitar tapestries.” The video for the title track has spawned over 196k views on their official YouTube page.

BLACK SATELLITE continue to build their reputation as an electrifying live act having toured with Marilyn Manson, John 5, Nita Strauss, Drowning Pool, Wednesday 13, Cradle of Filth, and Devil Driver. They’ve also made appearances at Metal In The Mountains Fest and Blue Ridge Rock Fest.

[Los Angeles, CA –October 10, 2025] — Alt rock favorites Yellowcard are celebrating the release of their new album in almost a decade Better Days out today, October 10^th via Better Noise Music. The lead single and title track “Better Days” brought the band’s return back in a huge way, scoring them their first ever number one on alternative radio, twenty two years after their first radio appearance ending the longest wait for a first leader at the format. This highly anticipated album is executive produced by Travis Barker who also plays drums on every song. Listen to the album HERE.

The single “Better Days” is an unflinching reflection on gratitude, forgiveness, perspective, and purpose. Once ubiquitous on MTV and the Billboard Hot 100, the Vans Warped Tour veterans, whose first two albums produced double-platinum and gold title tracks, sound fully recharged and revitalized in 2025. William Ryan Key, Sean Mackin, Ryan Mendez, and Josh Portman have never sounded stronger.

The newest lyric video from the album for the song is called You Broke Me Too featuring Avril Lavigne. Of the song, Lavigne says, “My friend Travis Barker called me up to say he was producing the new Yellowcard album and I really liked what I heard. When he played me You Broke Me Too, I liked how it can be an anthem people can relate to when finding hope after a relationship.” Watch the video HERE.

Lead singer Ryan Key was thrilled to have Lavigne be part of this album and this single. He says of the collaboration, “As with so many unbelievable things happening for the band these days, having Avril Lavigne be part of our new music is incredible. Her vocal performance combined with the classic Yellowcard feel of this song is truly a sonic time machine.”

The band agreed that making a new album was pointless unless it was the best of their career. They refused to rush the process and for the first time gave themselves permission to ask for help. Ryan Mendez invited his long time friend Nick Long into the writing sessions and it was through Long that Barker became part of the project, coming on board to play drums and produce the whole album.

Barker says of the project, “Sometimes the world has a wild way of putting things into place. Neither of us had planned on working together, but once we got in the studio, the magic was undeniable. I had just finished the Blink album and was excited to dive into producing another record front to back. Working with Yellowcard was a pleasure, and seeing them land their first number one is incredible. I couldn’t be happier for them.”

“I started the record as one version of myself and came out the other side changed,” says front man Ryan Key who credits Barker with a significant impact on his personal and creative studio breakthroughs. “I went in knowing I needed help. I came out of it writing songs like I was 19 again.”

In addition to Barker and Lavigne the album also features Matt Skiba on a forthcoming song called Love Letters Lost.

Finnish 6x Platinum and 8x Gold-certified, record-breaking rockers THE RASMUS (@therasmusofficial) have teamed with Theory of A Deadman’s lead singer Tyler Connolly to release an exciting new version of THE RASMUS’ powerful outsider anthem “Creatures of Chaos.” Out today (October 10), this notably marks THE RASMUS’ first US rock radio single. Back in March, THE RASMUS—Lauri Ylönen (vocals), Emppu Suhonen (guitars), Eero Heinonen (bass), and Aki Hakala (drums)—originally released “Creatures of Chaos.” The track was the second single from their 11^th studio album, WEIRDO, which arrived September 12 via Better Noise Music (the band’s first for the label) and Playground Music. ”Tyler [Connolly] is an amazing singer and he added a new dimension to the song,” says frontman Lauri Ylönen. “This song is one of our best from the new album and it’s so cool that it gets some spotlight now.”

Tyler Connolly shares: “I got asked to guest sing on this Rasmus song and once I heard it, I was like, ‘Heck Yeah’! Loved the track and love the band! Really enjoyed the back-and-forth verses between us, and it truly rocks! Now I got to get myself to Finland!!!”

Lauri explains that “Creatures of Chaos” is a “global shout out and an invitation to all misfits and anyone out there who’s ever felt like an outsider to join us! It was one of the first songs, and that’s kind of how the album title came about. It’s also about accepting people as they are, which in this world is getting much harder for people to do. For me, it’s more personal: I sing like I could have been a soldier, but I’m afraid of guns. I could have been this or that, but I wasn’t strong enough to be those. My job is to do this. And I’m singing to one fan in the front row, giving her or him strength to carry on. It’s another kind of hero.”

“Creatures of Chaos” is “also about the pressure of social media,” elaborates Lauri. “People feel like by 25 they need to have money, investments, be somebody. A lot of people are scared of growing up. I’ve always gained strength from being the underdog, and I love that. It keeps me going.”

Meanwhile, earlier this summer (on July 19), THE RASMUS performed as the headliner—and only foreign artist—of the Atlas Festival in war-torn Ukraine. They became an ambassador for the Good Donations charity fund, and along with the Atlas Festival and Blockbuster Mall (where the festival was held), they ultimately raised over 3.5 million hryvnias ($84,000) which was turned into a donation of special surgical instruments for the Okhmatdyt National Children’s Specialized Hospital. The funds were used to order and purchase modern, high-quality surgical kits from Germany. This equipment has already been delivered to Ukraine and handed over to doctors at the Okhmatdyt National Children’s Specialized Hospital. Q: How did the idea for doing LAST RITES come about?

JACK OSBOURNE (JACK): My father had been working on Last Rites for a very long time—chipping away at it over the last three or four years. He always felt he needed to do a follow-up to I Am Ozzy, because so much had happened in the 20 years since that book was released. From life after the TV show, to the Sabbath reunion, to releasing his last two albums, and finally his health issues. It was important to him to capture all of that.

Q: Do you or other family members have favorites passages/anecdotes from the book?

JACK: If I’m being honest, not many of the family members have read the book yet—it’s been difficult time for everyone. For me, the last chapter is what I’ve reflected on the most. He finished it just a few days before he passed.

Q: Throughout LAST RITES Ozzy reflects on his early life with the insight gained as we grow older. Were there things that changed about him and the way he experienced the world towards the end of his life?

JACK: There’s a lot to reflect on with that question. My father was always considered the “wild man of rock,” the “Prince of Darkness,” and so on, but the last seven years were the complete opposite. Because of his injuries and declining health, he slowed down. And sometimes with a curse comes a blessing. Slowing down gave him the space to really reflect on his journey—his successes, his failures, his joys, his sadness and ultimately, what mattered most to him. This book captures some of that.

Q: Do you recall any moments or conversations with Ozzy as he was working on the book—funny, touching, surprising—about the material he wanted to include or stories about working with a writer on the project?

JACK: He was very private about the process and didn’t share much about what he was including. I’d try to ask, but he’d often brush it off. I’ve often said this about my father, he was the most humble egomaniac you could ever meet. He honestly didn’t think anyone would care about what he was writing in LAST RITES. So when I asked him, he always downplayed it.

Q: It’s so clear from reading LAST RITES that Ozzy loved his fans. Is there anything that didn’t make it into the book that you’d like for them to know?

JACK: Here’s the truth—my father fought a very hard fight to get on that stage in Birmingham on July 5. He was determined to say goodbye to his fans, and that’s exactly what he did. He loved them deeply because they gave him the life he had. He always said he would have been nothing without their love and support. That last show was his way of giving back one final time.

Q: What do you think Ozzy would like readers to take away from the book?

JACK: My father would want people to smile, laugh, and feel love when they read it. He absolutely hated when people felt sorry for him. I know some fans will get emotional—it’s hard not to—but he couldn’t stand when people cried in front of him or got sad around him. So enjoy his words. Feel his energy. Remember who he will always be. And never stop loving him.

Today (October 3) MEGADETH have unveiled “Tipping Point” as the first single and video from their forthcoming self-titled final album due out in 2026 via DAVE MUSTAINE’s Tradecraft imprint in partnership with Frontiers Label Group’s new BLKIIBLK label. The sonically explosive and lyrically unflinching song kicks off with a thunderous guitar solo before DAVE’s iconic voice hauntingly kicks in. In the desolate but hopeful accompanying video, directed by Leonardo Liberti, DAVE is locked up in a prison being tortured in extreme fashion, while the band performs in the same lock-up. “We all have different ‘tipping points’ and they may vary from day to day,” says MUSTAINE. “I think we’re all being pushed to the edge right now, and it’s easy to lean into that feeling. But it’s important not to let things get you down.”

The release of SORRY FOR NOTHING VOLUME 2 comes as MARKS’ debut breakout 2019 hit “Outlaws & Outsiders” (featuring Ivan Moody, Mick Mars, and Travis Tritt) has officially been certified Gold by the RIAA in the U.S., marking his first-ever certification in the States. The singer and songwriter describes “Whiskey River,” the follow-up to the album’s second single “Hangman,” as “a rowdy, honky tonk feel-good country anthem made for late nights and good times.
