THIRD ALBUM ‘INTO THE NIGHT’ OUT NOW

STREAM/DOWNLOAD NOW

Phoenix, AZ-based trio THE BLACK MOODS mix hard-hitting rock with electric blues, strong attitude, and plenty of anthemic choruses on their newly released third studio album INTO THE NIGHT out now via Wit Hustle/The Orchard / Steelhorse Entertainment. Produced by Grammy Award-nominated producer Johnny “K” Karkazis (Disturbed, 3 Doors Down), INTO THE NIGHT “blends the most elemental components of rock and roll music into new songs that achieve a nearly-perfect balance of guts, glory, guitar, and big-league hooks,” according to Rock & Blues Muse who further praised the band as “one of the most crucial and exciting American bands working today.”

THE BLACK MOODSJosh Kennedy (vocals, guitar), Chico Diaz (drums) and Jordan Hoffman (bass)—have today (June 9) released a farcical music video for their vibrant and punchy single “Youth Is Wasted On The Young” following its exclusive premiere via MXDWN yesterday. The video was filmed at Combs High School in San Tan Valley, AZ and includes appearances from the school’s principal and student members alongside the band throughout various skits. Watch it streaming below or on YouTube HERE.

Loaded with rebellious lyrics (“You don’t like the like the way I spend my time / You don’t like the way we live our lives / You always let me know it’s on your dime / You act like being young is such a crime”), the song’s message of nonconformity is relatable to all generations.

Sharing how the song developed, Kennedy says, “The guys and I were hanging out in the studio jamming away and this song started crawling out. The hook line came right to me. I could hear it immediately. The first lines I wrote were the last ones in the song, ‘There’s no life where there’s no love, Youth Is Wasted On The Young’…it just flowed. The rest of it came out a few weeks later once everything was shut down due to Covid and reality had time to sink in. We felt like little kids being grounded, not allowed to go out and play, so we wrote it from that perspective.”

When it came to coming up with a video concept for “Youth Is Wasted On The Young,” Kennedy remarks, “We had a couple ideas as to what we wanted for the video. We wound up getting the option to take over a high school for a couple days, so we HAD to go with that. All the locations in one place, it was a no-brainer. A good friend of ours that we met from playing shows in Arizona and Mexico was retiring from his principal gig and asked us if we wanted to take over his school for a couple days. We couldn’t pass that up! Initially we were just gonna shoot some short videos for social media and then play a few songs for the kids, but inspiration struck. We brainstormed for a couple hours and storyboarded it out and it worked. We are huge Foo Fighter fans, to say the least. Their videos are amazing. We are most definitely paying homage to those guys in this video. It’s got a ‘Learn To Fly’ meets ‘Sabotage’ vibe for me. We are also fans of the Naked Gun movies as well as anything Broken Lizard does, so we obviously don’t take ourselves too seriously.”

THE BLACK MOODS – “Youth Is Wasted On The Young” Music Video

“We’ve had a long working relationship with Sean that’s developed into a close friendship,” says Mammoth’s Jeff Fortier. “His renowned booking abilities are a huge asset and addition to Mammoth’s capabilities. We’re very excited to have him as part of the growing team.”

Mammoth’s Josh Hunt notes, “Growth is organically happening within Mammoth, when the opportunity to include Sean on the east coast presented itself, it just made sense. We can’t think of anyone better suited to take on the responsibility of opening and running a Mammoth Northeast office.”

This news comes on the heels of the announcement of Mammoth’s expansion into the Pacific Northwest as a result of their recently announced establishment of Mammoth Northwest, a merger with Portland, Oregon’s Mike Thrasher Presents. Read more here.

TASH SULTANA Talks About Their New ‘MTV Unplugged, Live In Melbourne’ Album’ And North American 2022 ‘Terra Firma’ Headlining Tour In New Q&A

TASH SULTANA
TALKS ABOUT THEIR
‘MTV UNPLUGGED, LIVE IN MELBOURNE’ ALBUM’
OUT JUNE 3
AND NORTH AMERICAN 2022
‘TERRA FIRMA’ HEADLINING TOUR
IN NEW Q&A

In a revealing new Q&A, TASH SULTANA, the gender fluid multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, producer and engineer, has offered more details and perspective about their upcoming album–MTV UNPLUGGED, LIVE IN MELBOURNE, out June 3 on Mom + Pop–and North American tour launching June 10 in Las Vegas. The Q&A is below, along with more info about the album and the tour dates.

TASH SULTANA
Q&A:

Q: Congrats on the upcoming release of the MTV Unplugged album. Can you let us know why you feel this live album is an important work for you?

TASH SULTANA: This is important to me because it’s the first record I’ve mixed. I honestly just wanted to give myself a project when I had nothing on the horizon and see what I could do. It took me three months because I was fussy with it, story of my life–I mean there’s always things you will change looking back but I just wanted to have that under my belt.

Q: American concertgoers know you as a solo performer. Can you talk about the dynamic of having a band onstage with you for this live recording?

TASH SULTANA: I think it’s important to make the distinction that I am a SOLO performer. I always write everything on all my records. I’ve played all the instruments on everything I’ve ever written (apart from the obvious collabs) or released as well as produced, arranged, co-engineered and so forth and I wanted to stay true to the record by extending the groove. I just physically ran out of arms and legs to play everything and that’s where these session musicians came into the equation.

Q: The MTV Unplugged album shines a light on your body of work so far including your version of Bon Iver’s “Flume.” Can you tell us why you selected these particular songs for this performance and why you feel they work together as an artistic statement?

TASH SULTANA: The actual set was an hour and 30 minutes long. The producers and I had a great time trying to work out what we had to condense for what got shown on air which was another reason why I wanted to release the record in its entirety. It’s just a little bit of everything, it’s a bit of the oldies, the newbies, looping, acoustic, band stuff. I wanted to do the EXACT opposite of what everyone else has done, so as you can see it is not “Unplugged”–it’s very much PLUGGED in and that was the point.

Q: Your upcoming tour has already generated an array of sold-out shows immediately upon announcement, including your return to Red Rocks in Colorado which sold out in a matter of minutes. Can you talk about how deeply satisfying this must be for you as an artist who knows they are connecting with a discerning audience who wants purity over commerciality and who wants to experience musical transcendence instead of seeing a slickly choreographed show?

TASH SULTANA: I think that’s a question better answered by the audience themselves. From what I know, given what they tell me is that they come because it’s REAL. It’s an emotional, physical, metaphysical, spiritual journey from the beginning until the end for myself and everyone bearing witness. It’s how I feel when I play. I am not performing the songs, I become the music. The stage is the pinnacle of my existence and my highest place, I revolve everything in my life around stepping out on stage. I treat my mind, body, spirit like an athlete treats themselves for the gold medal they’ve always dreamt of having. I see the vision, I create it, I work for it, I manifest it, I prepare for it, I train for it and therefore I attain it.

Q: You’re known as a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer, engineer and mixer. By being so multi-faceted and talented—in a way that brings to mind Prince—nothing gets in the way of your artistic vision. At the same time, are there any challenges for you since you oversee all these aspects?

TASH SULTANA: I appreciate other people’s feedback, respected feedback obviously. I would never listen to someone critiquing me who had no positive impact on my life, I don’t hear the hate, I hear the construct. But I suppose the downfall is being a perfectionist, the bar is always set higher, and I never reach the end, so I only compete with yesterday’s version of myself and sometimes I can be hard to satisfy.

###

The North American headlining tour kicks off June 10 in Las Vegas at The Chelsea. Marking their first concerts here in three years, the run includes sold-out shows at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Sandy, UT (Sandy Amphitheater), New York City (The Rooftop at Pier 17), Portland, ME (State Theatre), Boston, MA (House of Blues), Victoria BC (Royal Theatre BC), Forest Grove, OR (McMenamins Grand Lodge), Seattle (Paramount Theatre), Oakland (Fox Theater) and Los Angeles (Hollywood Palladium).

The tour also includes stops in Chicago, Philadelphia, the Bonnaroo Music Festival (June 19) and more. These dates follow TASH’s 2022 global ‘Terra Firma’ shows in the United Kingdom and Europe this past March/April with TASH set to return there for additional shows set for September.

The MTV UNPLUGGED album powerfully shines a light on TASH’s body of work and underlines their impact as a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer, engineer and mixer. By being so multi-faceted and talented—in a way that brings to mind Prince—nothing gets in the way of TASH’s artistic vision. The MTV UNPLUGGED, LIVE IN MELBOURNE album track listing is as follows:

01 Musk
02 Big Smoke
03 Mystik
04 Sweet & Dandy
05 Pretty Lady
06 Crop Circles
07 Greed
08 Willow Tree
09 Blame It On Society

11 Dream My Life Away
12 Flume
13 Notion

TASH SULTANA has been dubbed one of the hardest working music exports in Australia. Selling over 500’000 tickets globally in 2019 alone, they are back to make their mark on the world. Their #1 ARIA-charting sophomore album Terra Firma arrives three years after ARIA-winning debut album Flow State–which spawned the 2x Platinum single ‘Jungle’ and the Platinum-selling single ‘Mystik’ as well as accumulating over 1billion worldwide streams.

LA Rockers BUDDERSIDE Search for “The Truth” In Latest Music Video Single Out Today, 5/27, via oneRPM

DT: MAY 27, 2022

FM: KELLY WALSH, SRO PR

BUDDERSIDE
SEARCH FOR
“THE TRUTH”
IN NEW “OUT-OF-THIS-WORLD” MUSIC VIDEO

WATCH HERE

FOUNDING MEMBER/VOCALIST PATRICK STONE
DISCUSSES ‘LOANING’ BAND’S MEMBERS & SHARES TRUE MEANING OF BAND’S NAME IN EXCLUSIVE Q&A

Los Angeles-based rock outfit BUDDERSIDE beg to find the truth of life and its meaning with their new single “The Truth” out today, Friday, May 27, across all digital streaming platforms. Stream/download it at https://onerpm.link/TheTruthBudderside. Vocalist, songwriter and founding member Patrick Stone seeks out these answers in the song’s music video filmed at a valley in Santa Barbara nearby where his Mother used to live. Watch “The Truth” music video, directed by Vicente Codero, streaming below or via YouTube HERE.

STONE elaborated on the inspiration for “The Truth” stating: “My mother’s home use to sit at the top of the valley where we filmed the video in Santa Barbara. I’ve seen some of the most beautiful flowers and sunsets in my life there and had always thought it would be an amazing place to shoot. I remember sitting on her porch, it was like a theatre to watch God paint every day and night. It’s the exact opposite of where you’d expect to see this song explained. The truth is– no pun intended–that this song is so dark it’s dangerous to focus on its lesson. Hopefully, sharing it this way will allow listeners to lean into the grove and dual guitar solo more than its honest lyrics. For once, I’m actually happy to avoid explaining and more devoted to distracting with the visuals. It had to be daunting somehow, though, and I got fixated on the rapture and how insane that would be to see. Religious beliefs are not our brand, but what lies beyond the stars and the secrets we keep played out well into this story.”

Read a Q&A below with Stone on new music, how the band’s name was formed and on how other rock bands keep borrowing the band’s musicians.

The Truth” is one of the many highlights on the band’s upcoming and as-yet-untitled album. Due this fall via oneRPM, it was recorded with producer Matt Good (Asking Alexandria, Hollywood Undead). “The Truth” follows the devilish single “Never Worth It” which made its radio debut on KLOSNew & Approved with Matt Pinfield” radio show earlier this month. Previously released singles include the mental health awareness oriented “Too Far,” the self-questioning “Ghostlighting” (and its Scooby Doo-inspired music video) and the album’s debut anthemic track “Voices.”

BUDDERSIDE is rounded out by a talented group of handpicked musicians who after being enlisted by Stone have been poached by some of rock’s top acts to lend their skills on tour and recording duties. Guitarist Sam “Bam” Koltun can be seen playing on tour with hard rock outfit Dorothy and glam rock/metal icons Faster Pussycat. Bassist Gabe Maska was cast as the lead role of Kurt Cobain for the Las Vegas rock show “27.” In addition, guitarist Logan Nikolic can be seen touring with rock singer Diamante, who are currently opening for Shinedown.

Q&A with BUDDERSIDE’s
PATRICK STONE

Can you share how BUDDERSIDE’s new album compares to past releases? What inspired or led to those artistic/style changes and why?

STONE: “It’s finally the music I’ve always wanted BUDDERSIDE to be. Not that my heart and soul isn’t in everything that came before, but the whole band being as talented as they are really makes a difference in the writing, the music and the vibe. I also blame our entertainment lawyer and close friend, Eric German. He had the balls to tell us what wasn’t working and wasn’t afraid to be completely blunt. I’ve always respected Eric and the artists he works with and instead of letting his advice break me, it set me on fire.”

You worked with producer Matt Good on the new album who’s worked with a lot of mainstream radio rock acts including Asking Alexandria and Hollywood Undead. Can you share how he may have added to developing BUDDERSIDE’s overall sound on the album? What did he bring to the table that you felt differed from past producers?

STONE: “Eric German introduced us to Matt and BUDDERSIDE quickly became his band, too. He demands greatness and constantly challenged us with styles and sounds we were uncomfortable with. It was exactly what we needed. Going in, I was completely hopeful a metamorphosis would happen, and it did. He’s hands-on about every detail and we don’t move forward until we all agree it’s perfect. We landed in a very unique and radical space with the new sound. “

“His style is what makes him stand out from the rest. Matt is producing what hasn’t been done before. He’s the leader in his genre if you ask me. I love the bands he’s worked with, and you can tell the difference in the songs they’ve recorded with him and those without. He brings that special energy. Something about me changed and you can hear it in the new music. My preconceived notions about vocals dissolved from technique to truth. I was like a guitar being plugged into an amp for the first time. Everything was on 11. Putting Matt Good’s name on ours is one of our proudest achievements.”

What inspired you to write “The Truth”?

STONE: “The truth. Pun intended this time. What the f*ck does this life mean? What are we doing here? What happens next? I’m suffering. Life seems to be one struggle on top of another and I don’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. I’m constantly afraid the next thing is going to push me over the edge. Have I lost sight of who I am? My bandmates believe in me and writing this song together helped me see I’m not alone. We all want to know. Give me the truth! Killing ourselves to mean something to someone, for something.”

If you had the chance to be abducted by a UFO, would you take the plunge? Why or why not? If so, what truths would you expect to find from such an experience?

STONE: “Definitely. I’d expect to find exactly that, ‘the truth.’ To know the truth and to unlock the great mystery would be extremely exciting and yet bring abundant peace.”

This has got to be your most asked question but you’ve shared different answers in previous interviews—for once and for all, will you tell us what the name ‘Budderside’ means and why you chose it for the band?

STONE: “There is no exact answer. What does life mean? Answer that and you’ve described its definition. How about the “F” word? Use BUDDERSIDE like you use that word and you get it. If you can explain it, you ain’t got it! Narrow minded people don’t get it. Lemmy got it and that was good enough for me. The people that understand me and accept me for who I am are behind the name. To challenge that is a fight you will lose. You could say Gandhi or Einstein are strange rolling off the tongue, but not once you understand what they stood for. Once you understand us, you’ll see it and say it differently, like we do. It’s the name of a very meaningful rock band.”

When people see/hear the name Budderside, what do you think they think the band sounds like? What do you want them to think?

STONE: “I would expect them to be very curious. When they hear it, I want them to be totally blown away.”

Knowing that you handpicked the members of the band, how does it feel now that other large rock bands have been ‘borrowing’ them for tours, etc?

STONE: “Dorothy thanked me backstage last night for letting her ‘borrow Sam’ for her recent tour. I’m sure she knows she didn’t have to say that, but she did anyways and made me feel really good about it. I love her talent and her songs, and she deserves the very best. She knows that’s exactly what Sam is. I’m really proud to be a part of BUDDERSIDE. BUDDERSIDE is Sam’s band just as BUDDERSIDE is Logan’s band, who’s opening for Shinedown in arenas every night with Diamante currently… and that’s where we belong. Five fingers of a hand clawing its way into the life we deserve, together.”

ABOUT BUDDERSIDE:

BUDDERSIDE was formed by STONE following his stint as vocalist of Adler’s Appetite, after receiving encouragement from the late Lemmy Kilmister of Motörhead who he worked for as part of his infamous ‘road crew’ and was also a close friend. Lemmy signed them to his own label, Motörhead Music and they released their self-titled debut album in 2016. The band released their sophomore album Spiritual Violence in March 2021 via Motörhead Music/ Silver Lining Music which was recorded by legendary producer Jay Baumgardner (Bush, Godsmack, Papa Roach) and mastered by Grammy Award-winning engineer Howie Weinberg (Nirvana, The Smashing Pumpkins, Garbage) with guest appearances from Motörhead guitarist Phil Campbell and Butcher Babies vocalist Carla Harvey.

BUDDERSIDE has toured extensively in the U.S. supporting acts including Motörhead, Slayer, Anthrax and L.A. Guns as well as being featured on international festivals including Rocklahoma, Wacken Open Air, Motörboat, Malmö Festival and the Monsters Of Rock cruise.

We’re huge fans of all things horror and spooky, so we were in our element making the music video and it allowed us to bring our love of that world to life.”

KALEIDO – “RUN” Official Music Video

KALEIDOChriss (vocals), Joey Fava (drums), Cody Morales (bass) and Drew Johnston (guitar)–will perform “Run” for the first time to hometown audiences this weekend with two shows: Friday, May 27 at Diesel Concert Theatre in Chesterfield, MI and Saturday, May 28 at The Music Factory in Battle Creek, MI. KALEIDO’s “Top 10 Favorite Songs from Horror Movies”

“We all know the most famous horror themes of all time (Halloween, Jaws, The Exorcist, etc.) so we wanted to dig a little deeper and pick 10 of our favorite songs from horror movies. As huge horror fans, these songs stand out and have influenced us in our lives and in our music. While creating the music video for our new single ‘Run,’ many of these horror films served as inspiration for our own concept. We’ve grown up with most of these classic films and they’re not only nostalgic, but they also hold a special place in our dark, creepy little hearts.”

10. From Autumn to Ashes – “The After Dinner Payback” (Freddy vs Jason)
“This was one of the songs that turned us on to heavy music early on, and hearing it paired with the battle between two of the most iconic horror movie slashers of all time is super epic.”

9. Lynyrd Skynyrd – “Free Bird” (The Devil’s Rejects)
“Already one of the most well-known songs of all time, hearing it play during that final scene in The Devil’s Rejects brought it to a whole new level. Now every time we hear the song, we imagine that ending of the movie.”

8.  Ramones – “Pet Semetery” (Pet Sematary)
“We love that the Ramones wrote the title track for the 1989 Steven King film adaptation of Pet Cemetery. This was one of the first scary movies we watched as kids, and it gave us nightmares!”

7. Huey Lewis And The News – “Hip To Be Square” (American Psycho)
“Patrick Bateman’s dialogue critiquing Huey Lewis, followed up by the brutal murder while the song plays, is easily one of the most horrifying yet hilarious horror movie scenes of all time.”

6. Luniz – “I Got 5 On It” (Us)
“The eerie synth line starting the song pairs perfectly with Jordan Peele’s story in ‘Us,’ and it’s really cool how he brings the song back in throughout the movie.”

5. Dokken – “Dream Warriors” (Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors)
“Another written-for-film song, Dream Warriors, is a classic 80’s hair metal banger. The title track, ‘Dream Warriors’ is also one of our favorite sequels in the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise. The music video featuring Dokken flipping the script and haunting Freddy is pretty awesome as well.”

4.  Dream Widow – “Lacrimus dei Erbium” (Studio 666)
Studio 666 is one of our favorite new horror films and features one of our favorite bands, the Foo Fighters. Watching ‘evil’ Dave Grohl rip through the doomy guitar riff in the film was killer! We watched this movie not long before shooting our music video and it was really inspiring. RIP to the late, great, Taylor Hawkins.”

3. Blue Oyster Cult – “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper” (Halloween [1978])
“Easily one of the greatest horror movie scores ever, John Carpenter’s Halloween is our most beloved horror film of all time. ‘The Reaper’ really sticks out, as it’s one of the only songs by a band in the entire movie.”

2. KISS – “God of Thunder” (Rob Zombie’s Halloween)
“As big fans of KISS, it was cool to hear this song playing in young Michael Myers’s room in Rob Zombie’s reimagining of Halloween. We grew up loving KISS, so it was pretty funny to see our favorite horror icon as a fan as well.”

1. Gerard McMahon – “Cry Little Sister” (The Lost Boys)
“The Lost Boys was a huge inspiration for us while creating our music video for ‘Run.’ We wanted to give a nod and pay homage to one of our favorite movies. The song ‘Cry Little Sister’ is synonymous with The Lost Boys, it’s a pairing of two classics and so universally loved.”

“C’mon, Jody Porter, do it to me again
You are the fix, my only fix, gimme some of what you got”
– lyrics from “You Are The Fix”

To celebrate the May 25 birthday of her close friend, Fountains of Wane guitarist Jody Porter, Riotgrrl, singer-songwriter and musician KELLY BUCHANAN is releasing a special homage to him with the infectious single “You Are The Fix” by her latest musical endeavor, DIMESTORE DOLLS. The track was co-written with their mutual friend–the late Fountains of Wayne bassist and songwriter Adam Schlesinger prior to his passing in 2020 due to complications from COVID-19. The surviving members of Fountains of Wayne also contributed to the song: lead vocalist/rhythm guitarist Chris Collingwood and drummer Brian Young provide guest vocals and the song’s subject, Porter, plays lead guitar as well as lending vocals. “You Are The Fix” will be available on all digital platforms Friday, May 27. Watch its stop-motion animated music video created by Stefano Bertelli/Seen Film (Counting Crows, Barenaked Ladies) HERE or streaming below. It was premiered yesterday, May 25, via Rock & Roll Globe and includes live performance footage from Dimestore Dolls and Fountains of Wayne, along with personal photos of Buchanan and Porter.

You Are The Fix” is the lead single from DIMESTORE DOLLS’ debut album WOOLY MAMAS due out July 22. The album marks Buchanan’s return to music after she suffered a traumatic brain injury in 2008 while playing street hockey; it was so severe that it has taken her the past decade to re-learn to walk, overcome difficulty with speaking caused from the injury and rebuild her other skills, including singing and playing instruments. Buchanan has shown great tenacity despite harrowing obstacles she’s endured throughout her life including narrowly escaping from being sold into sex trafficking after being held captive by relatives of her host family while studying abroad in South America after high school. Overcoming these traumatic experiences led her to pursue a career in music and graduate from the esteemed Berkelee College of Music in Boston and develop a solo career in NYC which resulted in the release of her critically acclaimed 2005 album BASTARD DAUGHTER.

Based out of Lancaster, PA, DIMESTORE DOLLSBuchanan (lead vocals, lead & rhythm guitar), Christy Engel (drums), Scott Frenchek (bass/keyboards/vocals), Jeanette Stillman (vocals), Mollie Swartz (vocals), and Chris Whalen (rhythm guitar/vocals)—will perform a hometown record release show on Saturday, July 23 at Tellus 360 followed by additional stops throughout the weekend in NYC and Boston. Full dates are as follows:

Diamond-selling alternative act AWOLNATION’s most recent release—a covers and collaborations album, MY ECHO, MY SHADOW, MY COVERS AND ME—was released via Better Noise Music earlier this month with the aim to illustrate the healing power of music and to celebrate the collaborative spirit of the artistic community. AWOLNATION founder Aaron Bruno crafted each of the album’s 11 tracks on songs that have influenced his life and reimagined each with at least one acclaimed musical artist with whom shares a personal connection.

To align with May being National Mental Health Awareness month, Bruno has formed a collaboration with The Jed Foundation (JED), a leading mental health nonprofit, to share a one-on-one conversation with one of the album’s guests—DJ, producer and singer-songwriter Elohim—on mental health, music and their collaborative cover of Harvey Danger’s 1997 single “Flagpole Sitta.” Bruno commented: “This song directly tackles mental health and it was Elohim’s idea originally. She is very knowledgeable and passionate about mental health awareness and advocacy, and she is one of my best friends.”

The conversation will be simulcast on AWOLNATION, Elohim, and JED’s YouTube and Instagram pages on Thursday, May 26 at 8 pm ET / 5 pm PT. Visit this website to see all viewing platform links HERE. The talk is part of Bruno’s ongoing commitment to raising awareness for mental health throughout the album’s release. Bruno is also making a generous donation to JED’s mental health awareness efforts.

ABOUT AWOLNATION

Since its formation by multi-talented musician and songwriter Aaron Bruno in 2010, AWOLNATION has redefined alternative music. With multiple radio hits at the alternative format, including 8 Top Fives and 2 Number Ones, the act has inarguably already made a permanent mark, not just in their genre, but across modern music. Most notably, the chart-topping, record-breaking, diamond-certified track “Sail” created a reference soundscape for a myriad of hits in the last decade. That song launched a career that already spans four albums. Megalithic Symphony, the platinum debut LP that also produced the gold certified “Not Your Fault” and two other Top 10 US singles. Sophomore album Run arrived in 2015, and the follow-up, Here Come The Runts, came in 2018. Then entering a creative partnership with current label Better Noise music, the band’s fourth full-length album, ANGEL MINERS & THE LIGHTNING RIDERS, featuring the hit single “The Best,” was released on April 24, 2020, and features collaborations with Rivers Cuomo of Weezer and Alex Ebert of Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros. In their positive review of the project, AllMusic calls it, “an energetic, fun, and compulsively listenable set that distills the best of what AWOLNATION can do: making pop-savvy, dance-friendly, alternative rock anthems that are not bound to traditional genre conventions.”

That boundary breaking of genres continued in Bruno’s creative calling, even more so as the world shut down in 2020. While quarantining, Bruno had the idea to celebrate music unapologetically with a team of talented friends – new and old. The result is the upcoming album My Echo, My Shadow, My Covers and Me, a collection of unexpected yet passionately crafted covers and collaborations. Launched with the first single in January 2022, a powerful rendition of “Winds of Change,” featuring Portugal the Man and Brandon Boyd of Incubus, the project offers a sonic experience that takes listeners inward on a retrospective journey and outward on a collective celebration. The homage paid to each song’s original artist is just as fun to dive into as the mutual respect heard in every note from both AWOLNATION and guests.

‘MTV UNPLUGGED, LIVE IN MELBOURNE’ ALBUM
OUT JUNE 3

DATES KICK OFF
JUNE 10 IN LAS VEGAS,
WITH SOLD-OUT SHOWS IN
NEW YORK, BOSTON, LOS ANGELES,
RED ROCKS, OAKLAND, SEATTLE AND MORE
WORLDWIDE FANS CAN EXPERIENCE THE
RED ROCKS GLOBAL LIVESTREAM
VIA FLYMACHINE ON JUNE 12

TASH SULTANA, the gender fluid multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, producer and engineer, will return to North America for a headlining tour that kicks off June 10 in Las Vegas at The Chelsea. These dates coincide with the June 3 release of the album MTV UNPLUGGED, LIVE IN MELBOURNE on Mom + Pop (see the track listing below).

The Red Rocks show sold out in just five minutes and marks a triumphant return for TASH, who previously sold out the historic venue on their 2019 tour. To highlight this appearance, TASH wanted to ensure that fans who were unable to attend the show would be able to experience the performance via a just-announced live stream. TASH says, “For those who can’t be there I hear you LOUD AND CLEAR, RED ROCKS GLOBAL LIVESTREAM: Join the virtual crowd and catch my sold-out Red Rocks show live–from anywhere–on Flymachine! You can invite your friends + watch the show together with your cameras on.” Get your pass now at fly.live/tash using promo code: TERRAFIRMA22.”

“Finally, after 3 years I get to come back to North America,” TASH says. “Just wait to see what I have in store. I’ve been working on this new show since 2020 and I’ve been patiently waiting to bring it to the world. Now it’s my time,” says TASH.

This run will see TASH SULTANA performing their sophomore album Terra Firma in North America for the first time as well as hits from Notion EP and Flow State, while also expanding the groove into new territories. SULTANA has remained tight-lipped about what the new show may include but has promised it’s an extension of ‘what already is’ and what they are best known for.

Their #1 ARIA-charting sophomore album Terra Firma arrives three years after ARIA-winning debut album Flow State–which spawned the 2x Platinum single ‘Jungle’ and the Platinum-selling single ‘Mystik’ as well as accumulating over 1billion worldwide streams.
