ABOUT BIKINI BULL RIDING LADIES’ NIGHT

Starting this month on the first Thursday of every month, Bikini Bull Riding Ladies’ Night features free entry and $2 drinks for ladies. All bull riding participants receive a free bikini from Pendleton Whisky and the Pendleton Posse. Stephanie Quayle is a Nashville recording artist who tours the world with her music and an entrepreneur with her own record label, Big Sky Music Group. Rolling Stone Country called her “an artist you need to know,” CMT named her as part of its “Next Women of Country” franchise, and she’s appeared on popular programs like The Kelly Clarkson Show and The Ellen DeGeneres Show. As an indie artist with two Billboard charted singles, “Selfish” and “Whatcha Drinkin ’Bout,” she has repeatedly performed at CMA Fest and the Grand Ole Opry. The Montana native has teamed up with recognizable brands like Wrangler, Harley-Davidson, Bass Pro Shops, Montana Silversmiths, as well as Lucchese Bootmaker in the creation of her exclusive boot line. Quayle’s latest album On the Edge chronicles her personal experience in a toxic relationship and the healing she’s gone through since—inspiring others and redefining her future. She also released her debut book, Why Do We Stay?, in April 2024. Why Do We Stay? is a continuation of the story she shared publicly for the first time on her album On the Edge, and with some additional insights from my friend W. Keith Campbell, PHD, they explore how to spot a toxic relationship, how to get out, and how to heal.

The eight tracks of On the Edge explore that fundamental human experience when in your darkest moments you are faced with a decision, when you’re forced to choose between descending into the darkness or seeking the light. On the Edge is a redemptive tale, and a profoundly personal one. It’s one in which Stephanie Quayle charts the stranger-than-fiction story in which she found herself — from the day the love of her young life shattered on an airport runway, and the harrowing aftermath of that tragedy — to the place of grace where she finds herself today.

The years that followed — The Lost Years — found her face down and wallowing in the dirt. “At 29, my whole world stopped,” she says. “It was a defining moment that made me question everything and wonder if I was ever going to sing again. She moved to Nashville, saw her songs hit the charts, garnered industry accolades, and performed at the Grand Ole Opry over ten times. Eventually she fell in love again, married North Carolina businessman David Couch in 2015, and embarked on the most productive and exciting period of her career. Stephanie founded her own record label and was turning out new material with several co-writers; she was traveling relentlessly and performing to an ever-growing fan base. In 2018 ‘Selfish’ cracked the Billboard chart. Then in 2019, “Whatcha Drinkin ‘Bout” was charging up the charts when along came Covid. In March 2020 Stephanie was on her way to perform as part of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Texas events when she had to cancel forty concerts and shelter in place at the North Carolina farm. Despite this setback, she quickly pivoted, finding new ways to connect to her fans while bringing music and farm animals into the lives of her followers. She started live-streaming, sharing eighty performances in eighty days, and recorded an album virtually with musicians in Nashville.

On the Edge explores the big themes in life and offers an unflinching portrait of grief, loss, betrayal, and redemption. And it does so with the singer’s signature honesty, humor, strength, and style. This music has helped her move forward, and she hopes it will do the same for others.

Featuring pop and alt-rock hits from the 90s and 00s, Stephen Wesley will be joined by Jerrod Bettis (formerly of OneRepublic); Scott Underwood (formerly of Train); Matt Fuller (formerly of Puddle of Mudd), and Kevin Cadogan (formerly of Third Eye Blind).

Stephen Wesley is a two-time Billboard charting artist. Stephen continues to push the boundaries of music and create his own sound. ABOUT TROY CARTWRIGHT

Troy Cartwright’s passion for music was ignited during a summer program at New York University, which exposed him to a world beyond his hometown of Dallas. After returning to Dallas, Cartwright quickly made a name for himself with the release of his EP, Bull Run. This debut earned him recognition at the 2013 B.W. Stevenson Songwriting Competition. In 2014, he received the Rising Star Texas Music Award. A notable performance with John Fullbright led him to collaborate with producer Wes Sharon in Oklahoma, resulting in his self-titled full-length debut album in 2015.

Cartwright’s music began to gain traction through radio play and extensive touring. This exposure caught the attention of Texas songwriter Rob Baird, who co-produced Cartwright’s EP Don’t Fade with Brian Douglas Phillips. Released on October 7, 2016, Don’t Fade landed Cartwright on several Billboard charts, including No. 60 on the US Country Chart and No. 8 on the Heatseekers South Central Chart. This success helped him secure a deal with William Morris Endeavor (WME).

In early 2017, Rolling Stone highlighted Cartwright as one of the “10 New Country Artists You Need to Know.” He then moved to Nashville to immerse himself in the songwriter community, signing a worldwide publishing deal with Warner/Chappell Music and joining Red Light Management. By mid-2018, Warner Music Nashville had signed Cartwright as a recording artist and songwriter. He soon began collaborating with Grammy Award-winning producer David Garcia. In the summer of 2019, Cartwright released his first singles with Warner Music Nashville, including Love Like We Used To and Hung Up On You. SiriusXM’s The Highway featured Love Like We Used To as its “YouTube Country Spotlight” and added it to the “On The Horizon” playlist. Later that year, Cartwright released My First Beer and Cake For Breakfast, the latter of which was highlighted by Billboard as one of the best new country songs of the week.

Troy Cartwright continues to release new music and perform live across the country. He has shared the stage with renowned acts such as the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Turnpike Troubadours, Randy Rogers Band, and Cody Jinks, among others.

Coming off his seismic #1 Active Rock Song “Crack Cocaine”—featuring OZZY OSBOURNE and STEVE STEVENS and co-written by all three artists—BILLY MORRISON has teamed with LINDA PERRY for the single and video ”Chasing Shadows feat. Linda Perry.” The Rage-directed video has premiered today (August 28), Watch it HERE and listen to the track HERE.

The MORRISON-penned “Chasing Shadows” is featured on his recently released solo album THE MORRISON PROJECT via TLG | ZOID | Virgin Music Group. The song reflects the album’s musical diversity and is being serviced to Americana/AAA. It is a big piano-anchored pop and rock ballad about a fractured romance, with moving, subtly poignant vocals by PERRY.

“Usually when someone sends me a song, there’s a lot of changes that are made on my part—melodies, lyrics, arrangements, etc,” says PERRY. “However, when Billy Morrison asked me to sing ‘Chasing Shadows,’ he told me to ‘do whatever I wanted to make it better,’ and to me, there simply wasn’t anything that needed changing. I really loved the demo he sang originally and that’s a sign of a solid song. Billy Morrison is an authentic rock star, in very un-authentic times. I am grateful to play a small part in his world.”

“I’d written a ballad, primarily on keyboards and acoustic guitar, and I had what I hoped was a decent lyric and melody to go with it,” explains MORRISON. “Linda and I go back quite a long way, and I think she has one of the most incredibly powerful and unique voices I’ve ever heard. So, despite knowing that she rarely sings on things like this, I threw a guide vocal down and sent her the song. To my amazement, not only did she agree to sing the song for my record, but she also didn’t feel the need to change anything at all! As a songwriter, to hear this from someone as respected and accomplished as Linda Perry made me feel incredibly honored. Her performance on this track is sublime and emotional and I’m proud to be releasing the song and video to the world.”

THE MORRISON PROJECT was released this past April, marking BILLY’s third solo album and first since 2015. The British guitarist, singer, and songwriter—primarily known as Billy Idol’s rhythm guitar player for the past 15 years alongside lead guitarist Steve Stevens—has assembled an electrifying 12 songs with guest performances by Ozzy Osbourne, Billy Idol, Corey Taylor, DMC, Al Jourgensen, Steve Vai, Steve Stevens, Linda Perry, Tommy Clufetos, John5, and more. The album was produced by BILLY, mixed by Barry Pointer, and mastered by Dave Donnelly. The iconic multi-platinum-selling group AMERICA are celebrating their 54^th anniversary with a series of national tour dates in 2024. Billed as the “Ride On Tour 2024,” it launched July 18 in Minneapolis and will continue throughout the year. Known for their timeless magic and powerful performances, the Grammy Award-winning perennial classic-rock favorite will draw on their deep catalog of hits including signature song “A Horse With No Name,” a Number One smash on Billboard’s Hot 100 in 1972. Meanwhile, AMERICA will release a new live album, America – Live From The Hollywood Bowl 1975 (Primary Wave Music; distributed by Sun Records), on September 6. Previously available as a Record Store Day exclusive, this album features never-before-heard recordings of their iconic 1975 performance backed by a symphony conducted by the legendary George Martin and will now be widely released on CD, a new red vinyl variant, and digitally for the first time ever. This extraordinary performance has been preserved in never-before-heard tapes that were recently restored and remastered for this special release.

On their way to becoming a global household name, AMERICA‘s journey found them exploring a wide variety of musical terrain. Their best-known tunes, which also include “I Need You,” “Ventura Highway,” “Don’t Cross The River,” “Tin Man,” “Lonely People,” and “Sister Golden Hair,” were cornerstones of 1970’s Top 40 and FM rock radio. Yet beyond their impressive catalog of hits, listeners would discover there was always much more to AMERICA than surface perceptions. The combination of melodic pop rock and folk-jazz elements, slinky Latin-leaning rhythms and impressionistic lyric imagery contrasted well with other more traditional country-rock leanings and highly personal lyrics.

AMERICA‘s albums–six certified gold and/or platinum, with their first greatest hits collection, History, hitting four plus million in sales–displayed a fuller range of the trio’s talents than did their singles. Their material encompassed an ambitious artistic swath; from effects-laden rockers to oddball medleys to soul-bearing ballads, AMERICA displayed a flawless blend of disparate genres and styles as wide-open as the great American plains.

Enjoying massive success early in their career, AMERICA earned their stripes as musical soldiers on the battlefield amidst the excess, craziness, and chaos of the 70’s. The trio won the Grammy for Best New Artist in 1972 and began working with George Martin and Geoff Emerick in 1974. This successful team went on to record seven albums and several Top Ten hits, including “Tin Man,” “Sister Golden Hair” and “Lonely People.”

Their growth as singers, songwriters and musicians has continued into the present day as illustrated by landmark releases such as 2000’s Highway 3-disc box set, 2002’s Holiday Harmony, an album comprised of seasonal classics and live showcases, 2007’s Here & Now, 2009’s Live In Concert: Wildwood Springs, 2011’s Back Pages, and 2015’s Lost And Found and America: Archives Vol. 1.

In 2020, the band released their ultimate 8-disc anniversary box set, Half Century (America Records), and streamed their concert special America–Live at the London Palladium for the very first time (it is commercially available as a DVD and CD). 2020 also saw the release of the book “America, the Band, An Authorized Biography” by journalist Jude Warne. She weaves original interviews with the band and many others into a dynamic cultural history of AMERICA, the band, and America, the nation. Billy Bob Thornton wrote the foreword.

As further testament to the band’s staying power and influence, AMERICA’s recordings have been licensed for a multitude of placements in films (including American Hustle, The Nice Guys, The Last Unicorn and Girl Most Likely), television shows (among them The Sopranos, Friends, Breaking Bad and Saturday Night Live) and video games (including Grand Theft Auto). Following a successful cross-country tour around the release of his latest album CHILD WITHIN tHE MAN (and first solo effort in 10 years), singer, songwriter, author, Broadway star, and actor SEBASTIAN BACH is preparing to hit the road again this fall.

Along with the tour announcement, BACH is celebrating one of the album’s leading tracks “(Hold On) To The Dream” (written by Sebastian Bach, Michael Elvis Baskette, Devin Bronson and Isaac Heath Carpenter) with an alternate video for the song. Watch the clip here.

CHILD WITHIN tHE MAN was recorded in Orlando, Florida; produced and mixed by Baskette; engineered by Jef Moll, assistant engineered by Josh Saldate; and mastered by Robert Ludwig/Gateway Mastering. BACH wrote or co-wrote all the album’s 11 tracks and sang all lead and backing vocals. CHILD WITHIN tHE MAN features guest appearances from John 5, Steve Stevens, and Orianthi—who all co-wrote their respective tracks with BACH—and two tracks co-written with Myles Kennedy (“What Do I Got to Lose?” and “To Live Again’); Devin Bronson on guitars, Todd Kerns (bass) and Jeremy Coulson (drums) round out the players on the album. It has yielded four singles, all of which have impacted the rock charts: Freedom,” “What Do I Got To Lose?,” “Everybody Bleeds,” and “(Hold On) To The Dream.”

The artwork for CHILD WITHIN tHE MAN holds special meaning since it was designed by BACH’s father, noted visual artist David Bierk. “This album artwork was started in 1978 and finished in 2024!” SEBASTIAN says.

World-renowned photographer MARK “WEISSGUY” WEISS talks below about his iconic photographs of Ozzy Osbourne, Lemmy Kilmister, and Joan Jett. These photographs will be presented—paired with recording artist and contemporary fine artist BILLY MORRISON’s unique canvas paintings of them—for one weekend only: September 19, 20, and 21 at the iconic Motor Cars LA Showroom in Hollywood, CA. Billed as “A Moment In Time,” the event is presented by X5 Podcast and Motor Cars LA. See the event details below.

The exhibition will feature 12 pieces from Morrison, and high-end editions of the same photographs from Weiss, with a special 13th painting and prints going to support mental health, suicide prevention and trauma counseling through the Above Ground charity spearheaded by Morrison and Dave Navarro, Jane’s Addiction’s guitarist. Below are Weiss’ photographs of Ozzy Osbourne, Lemmy Kilmister, and Joan Jett, along with Morrison’s paintings of them.

“Ozzy was always game for my out-of-the-box ideas. Our first shoot together was for the cover of Circus magazine in 1981, where I had him wear a pink tutu. From there, we pushed the envelope with every session, each one more outrageous than the last.

When Sharon asked me to do a shoot that would get him noticed in the magazines, Faces magazine agreed to put Ozzy on the cover, but it had to be something over the top. I came up with a twist on his album Diary of a Madman. Since it was the May issue, I thought, why not go with a Mother’s Day theme? We dressed Ozzy as a housewife, and the cover featured the headline “Diary of a Mad Housewife.” The photo ironing his daughter Aimee, ended up as a gatefold in the magazine and stirred quite a reaction—some people even thought the iron was plugged in!”

“I captured this photo of Lemmy Kilmister of Motörhead, just moments before taking the stage at the Beacon Theatre in New York City during the ‘No Remorse Tour’ in 1984. Lemmy was a complex figure to decipher—he was difficult to read. His intimidating presence was undeniable, but if you could see beyond that and stand your ground, you’d earn his respect.

For a photographer, it’s crucial to gain the artist’s trust and be welcomed into their world, capturing moments that tell a deeper story—a time stamp of an era. I consider it a privilege when musicians allow me into their space. My approach is to remain unassuming, hoping to capture that magical moment where the connection between artist and photographer becomes genuine.

With Lemmy, I sought sincerity and authenticity—qualities I believe are most evident in the eyes.”

“I was in high school when I first heard about The Runaways. At the time, I was sneaking my camera into concerts and selling photos outside Madison Square Garden and out of my high school locker for a buck each. After The Runaways disbanded, Joan Jett released her debut album Bad Reputation in 1980.

I was 20 years old, living at my great-aunt’s house in NYC while attending the School of Visual Arts. Eager to expand beyond live photography, I started shooting studio photos of local bands to gain experience. I was also a staff photographer at Circus magazine, where I covered live shows. My role at Circus gave me valuable access to publicists and managers.

I met Joan through Carol Kaye, a publicist who had arranged photo passes for me to shoot bands like Aerosmith and Ted Nugent. When Carol mentioned she was helping Joan, I jumped at the chance to ask her to set up a photo shoot. Bad Reputation was gaining momentum, and I had always dreamed of photographing The Runaways.

On December 16, 1980, I went to a club called the Left Bank in Mount Vernon, NY. I taped up a bedsheet that I used as a backdrop and waited for the band to go to the stage. I had a roll of film loaded and ready to go. I took a few photos with her band the Blackhearts along with manager Kenny Laguna and his wife Meryl. Joan then picked up her guitar, and I kept shooting until the film ran out. When you capture that perfect moment, you just know it. For this shoot, frame 28 was the one. It’s fascinating how a single image can tell an entire story, while a contact sheet reveals the full narrative.”

The public viewing for “A Moment In Time” is set for September 21, to be preceded by the VIP Preview on September 19, and RSVP Party and Live X5 Podcast on September 20 which will feature a Q+A from both artists and an intimate acoustic performance from Morrison. There will be a complete livestream of the whole weekend from the X5 Podcast team. At this event, Rock N Roll and Fine Art collide with multi-million-dollar supercars in the entertainment capital of the world.

BILLY MORRISON has developed successful careers in multiple genres, as a rock guitarist (with Billy Idol for the past 15 years), a solo recording artist, and as a contemporary fine artist. Self-study and experimentation are the essence of Morrison’s process, working with oil paints and spray in a Warhol-esque aesthetic. Morrison’s iconic style mimics the effects of multilayered screen printing through a street art approach with the use of stencils.

MARK “WEISSGUY” WEISS is a world-renowned photographer who has traveled the globe photographing legends from Van Halen, Ozzy Osbourne, Aerosmith, and Mötley Crüe to Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Bon Jovi, and KISS. Weiss’ inimitable photographs helped craft the visual imagery of rock and metal in the 1980s. His best-selling and critically acclaimed 2020 book “The Decade That Rocked” is captured through the lens of someone who lived and breathed the 80’s in all its grit and glory.

Following OZZY OSBOURNE’s two (2) Grammy Awards in 2023 for “Best Rock Album” (his first-ever win in the category) and “Best Metal Performance” from his hugely successful and critically acclaimed PATIENT NUMBER 9 album (Epic Records) and a recent #1-charting Active Rock Song “Crack Cocaine”—a collaboration with Billy Morrison and Steve Stevens —he is now setting his sights on the 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction. OSBOURNE has earned a solo induction for his nearly six decade career in music (Black Sabbath was inducted in 2006). This honor makes OZZY one of a handful of artists with multiple inductions into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

“It’s still hard to believe I’m about to be a two-time inductee into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame,” OZZY says. “I’m really looking forward to attending (the induction ceremony in Cleveland this October. More importantly, I am so blessed to have had such an incredible career with amazing fans who have stuck by me through thick and thin over the years.”

The 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction will be seen live on Saturday, October 19 at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio. The 2024 ceremony will once again stream live on Disney+ with a special airing on ABC at a later date and available on Hulu the next day.
