THE FUNERAL PORTRAIT
CONFIRMED FOR ICE NINE KILLS’
“ICE NINE KILLS: HELL OF A SUMMER” TOUR

“It’s an attempt to put all of our anxious thoughts into one place,” explains singer and songwriter Lee Jennings of THE FUNERAL PORTRAIT about the inspiration for their newly released single “Evergreen.” Watch the video HERE and listen to the song HERE.

“Evergreen” is one of the three brand new songs featured on the deluxe edition of the red-hot emo-rooted band’s second album, the 24-track GREETINGS FROM SUFFOCATE CITY – FROM BEYOND THE ABYSS: DELUXE EDITION (the track listing is listed below). It’s out today (June 13) via Better Noise Music, with digital, CD, and vinyl (out June 27) copies available HERE.

“The song speaks to universal and painful truths—that love is the source of all suffering, and the bittersweet feelings that coincide with it,” elaborates Jennings. “The lyrics come from an extremely personal place and are set against a melancholy, stripped-back track that helps accent one of our most emotional hymns to date.”

THE FUNERAL PORTRAITLee Jennings (Vocals), Cody Weissinger (Guitar), Caleb Freihaut (Guitar/Auxiliary), Robert Weston (Bass), and Homer Umbanhowar— (Drums)—has “carved out a unique space in modern rock, blending theatrical energy with deeply personal storytelling” (Hard Rock Reviews, 5/27/25). With “Evergreen,” the Atlanta band is excitingly building on their radio success. They achieved the #1 spot last November on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay and Mediabase’s Active Rock radio charts with their smash single “Suffocate City (feat. Spencer Charnas of Ice Nine Kills).” They’re once again enjoying #1 success on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart with Holy Water,” which features guest vocals by Ivan Moody of Five Finger Death Punch; the song is also firmly planted in the Top Five on Mediabase’s Active Rock charts with Holy Water.”

The montage video for “Evergreen” illustrates THE FUNERAL PORTRAIT’s exciting success story. It’s been steadily growing since joining forces with Better Noise Music, known for its creative artist development, innovative cross-media strategies, and ability to build international success stories. The campaign for THE FUNERAL PORTRAIT began in August 2022, almost three years ago, with the release of “Voodoo Doll” when they were an opening band in 300-400 person venues (or smaller). Now they’re drawing the biggest crowds at the major festivals, touring all year with bands like Ice Nine Kills, and gearing up for a European tour this fall.

GREETINGS FROM SUFFOCATE CITY – FROM BEYOND THE ABYSS: DELUXE EDITION contains 24 songs including tracks from the CASSANOVA EP and the FROM BEYOND THE ABYSS EP, as well as the recently released versions of “Holy Water” feat. Ivan Moody of Five Finger Death Punch, Hearse for Twofeat. Lilith Czar and three brand new songs: Skinny Lies,” “Evergreen,” and “Lost Boy.” The vinyl and CD two-disc deluxe packages feature 21 tracks, one of which is exclusive to the physical formats (“Friends Like These”).

The album that was originally released September 13, 2024 via Better Noise Music, consists of 14 tracks of theatrical, dramatic, unapologetic, full-throated flair with guest appearances from Bert McCracken of The Used, Spencer Charnas of Ice Nine Kills, Danny Worsnop of Asking Alexandria, and Amanda Lyberg of Eva Under Fire.

THE FUNERAL PORTRAIT is committed to championing well-being within the music industry (and beyond). They’re proud to raise awareness of Music Support, the charity that helps anyone who works in the U.K. music industry experiencing substance use, addiction, and/or mental health challenges. They support all areas of the industry, whether on stage or behind the scenes. Music Support believes in arming people with the tools to prevent them from reaching crisis point, but if they do, they are at the end of the phone or via email, info which can be found on their website. Donations can also be made there.

Meanwhile, THE FUNERAL PORTRAIT and Z2 have consolidated the rich lore from GREETING FROM SUFFOCATE CITY into a one stop graphic companion for fans to be enthralled in. The Funeral Portrait Presents Welcome to Suffocate City tells the story of Irving Westhound, a man on a mission to save the youths of his town from the enigmatic leader of the Coffin Crew Cult. The 44-page oversized 12”x12” comic in a slipcased Deluxe Edition, which comes signed, with art prints, and a four-piece THE FUNERAL PORTRAIT card collector’s set in a frame. Deluxe editions are available exclusively at Z2’s website [HERE,] while a standard 9”x9” edition is available via Amazon, Barnes & Noble, as well as other independent retailers and fine comic shops worldwide.

In touring news, THE FUNERAL PORTRAIT recently wrapped up a U.S. month-long trek with Ice Nine Kills, and they’ve now been invited to be a part of the “ICE NINE KILLS: HELL OF A SUMMER TOUR” along with Dayseeker, Kim Dracula, and Mest. THE FUNERAL PORTRAIT will jump on the new trek starting August 10 in Waukee, IA. The Live Nation-produced tour will bring the bands to arenas and amphitheaters across the country. Tickets are available now via Ice Nine Killswebsite.

“If rock and roll is theater, then The Funeral Portrait are masterful storytellers,” praised

Deranged-Media.com (5/29/25) about the band’s live show. “The Funeral Portrait are more than a band—they’re a movement, and a stage for the emotions we often hide. Their live show is a cathartic, high-voltage blend of theater and therapy, wrapped in riffs and painted in passion. If you haven’t seen them yet, you’re missing one of the most genuine and electrifying performances in modern rock.”

The EP also includes the original versions of “This Is Mongol,” “Bii Biyelgee,” and “Triangle.”

“I am glad that our label partners at Better Noise Music suggested this EP because, as I like to say, from Classic Rock to Heavy Metal, our genre of Hunnu Rock has no limits,” says frontman Galaa. “The ECHOS OF THUNDER EP presents an opportunity for more collaborations with different artists to expand on our original music.  We hope our loyal fans will enjoy these new versions of songs from the RUMBLE OF THUNDER album!”

GODSMACK’s 2014 Album ‘1000HP’ To Be Commemorated With Limited Vinyl Editions

DATE: JUNE 13, 2025

GODSMACK’s 2014 ALBUM
‘1000HP’
TO BE COMMEMORATED WITH LIMITED-EDITION
BLACK AND COLOR VINYL EDITIONS

PRE-ORDER THEM HERE

A poster with a skull and vinyl records

AI-generated content may be incorrect.

Coming on the heels of the March release of deluxe editions of the group’s album The Oracle, remastered and special limited editions of GODSMACK’s 2014 album 1000HP will now be released August 8 on UMe as both a black vinyl edition as well as a limited-edition color vinyl version, the latter of which includes bonus features. The black vinyl will feature the original U.S. album cover with the 10 tracks remastered; the color version will include the album’s alternate cover mostly unknown to U.S. fans (available on the album in all non-U.S. markets), along with a bonus 7” single of “Inside Yourself,” and appearing on vinyl for the first time, “Life Is Good.” Both formats are available for pre-order this Friday, June 13 via HERE.

1000HP (GODSMACK’s sixth album) was released on August 5, 2014 and debuted at #3 on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart; like The Oracle, it was mixed and produced by Dave Fortman. Upon its debut, 1000HP garnered high praise including Revolver which gave the album four out of five stars and commended the band for “pushing their boundaries…with 1000HP, Godsmack offer up a few new sounds, while at the same time remaining firmly resolute in their musical mission.” ARTISTdirect added that the album was “a high watermark for the Boston group” and “the best hard rock record of the year.” Additional acclaim included:

Billboard:
“[Sully] Erna hasn’t lost his pissed-off edge, remaining in perpetual rant throughout the album. At least he knows how to channel his ill temper into contagious rock radio confections, like the title track…booming with the band’s brand of blistering ire…”

Guitar World:
“With a new-found thrashed-up ‘punk’ energy, 1000HP is really about going back to basics. It’s old-school Godsmack, but with a new kind of twist.”

Loudwire:
1000HP succeeds in bringing the hard in heavy doses with just the perfect smattering of melody in just the right places. There’s little doubt that with 1000HP Godsmack have re-establishing their place in the world of hard rock.”

ABOUT GODSMACK:

With over 20 years of chart-topping success, the Boston rock band has cemented themselves as 21st-century hard rock titans. To date, they’ve accomplished a staggering 13 #1 singles at mainstream rock radio, including the tracks “Surrender,” “Soul on Fire,” and “Truth” from the band’s most recent album Lighting Up the Sky. Additionally, they’ve enjoyed 24 Top 10 hits at the format–the most of any act since February 1999–as well as four Grammy nominations and were named Billboard Music Award’s Rock Artist of the Year in 2001. Selling over 20 million records worldwide, the band has released eight studio albums: Godsmack (1998), Awake (2000), Faceless (2003), IV (2006), The Oracle (2010), 1000HP (2014), When Legends Rise (2018), and Lighting Up the Sky (2023). The powerful storytelling of Lighting Up the Sky covers boy-meets-girl, obstacles in relationships, the polarized political climate and the state of the world, betrayal, connection, rebounds, and more. DUSTIN DOUGLAS & THE ELECTRIC GENTLEMEN’s fourth album IV (June 6, via MoMojo Records) is out now as the supercharged, dirty blues-influenced rockers gear up for summer tour dates launching this Wednesday, June 11 (see the itinerary below). Stream the much-anticipated album HERE and view clip about it HERE.

IV is a raw, unapologetic, Blues-Rock Master course from the group—DOUGLAS, drummer Tommy Smallcomb and bassist Matt Gabriel. It is a powerhouse album drenched in whiskey-soaked riffs and soaring Rock n’ Roll vocals that once again display DOUGLAS’ meteoric rise as one of the heaviest hitters in the Blues-Rock world. The album was recorded at Eight Days a Week Studios in Northumberland, PA by Paul Smith (Badlees), who engineered and co-produced the album with DOUGLAS. It was mixed and mastered by Nick Coyle (Lifer, Drama Club, Death Valley Dreams).

IV is already generating critical praise:

ROCK AND BLUES MUSE: “From the opening ear-splitting riffs, and Douglas’s Steve Marriott (Humble Pie)-like vocals, the trio’s runaway freight train approach is on full display…[it’s] an album filled with blistering guitar riffs and solos…cutting loose, Douglas’s guitar and this trio along with Smith, eviscerate boundaries with fine-tuned skill. Brace yourself. There is no sugar coating and you won’t find the slimmest taste of honey on the album. This is blues-rock, 21st Century style, an exhilarating ride, delivered by one of today’s fastest rising power trios, Dustin Douglas and the Electric Gentlemen.” (5-29-25)

TINNITIST: “From the southern rock stomp of ‘Long Gone,’ the sleazy, ’70s growl of ‘Dangerous Game,’ the Tom Petty-inspired ‘Drunk And Alone’ and the David Gilmour-meets-Jimmy Page fretwork of ‘Missin’ You,’ the nine tracks on IV bleed with passion and pain while burning with a fire of Douglas’s signature guitar sound and The Electric Gentlemen’s thunderous supporting rhythm. IV is a testament to the unrelenting spirit of rock ’n’ roll.” (6-1-25)

Prior to the album’s release, the group—known for a heavy dose of swagger, groove, and rock ‘n’ roll attitude both on stage and in the studio—released three singles/videos: the current Drunk and Alone,” Dangerous Game,” and “Damage.” For the bracing “Drunk and Alone,” the ferocious singer, songwriter, and guitarist and his band teamed up with his friend, director Nyke Van Wyk, for the gritty, moving clip which DOUGLAS reveals is autobiographical. “This one is extremely personal for me. It’s one of those songs where I was reluctant to even put it on the record due to the vulnerability of it all.” DUSTIN reveals more about “Drunk and Alone” at antiMusic.

The IV track list is:
1. Long Gone
2. Damage
3. Dangerous Game
4. Drunk and Alone
5. Satisfied
6. Please and Thank You
7. Every Dog Has His Day
8. Give It To Me Straight

YES Announce “The Fragile Tour 2025, The Album Series”

DATE: JUNE 10, 2024

FROM: MITCH SCHNEIDER/ANDREA FAULK, SRO PR

YES
ANNOUNCE
“THE FRAGILE TOUR 2025,
THE ALBUM SERIES”
BAND TO PERFORM THEIR ICONIC
‘FRAGILE’ ALBUM IN ITS ENTIRETY
ALONG WITH CLASSIC CUTS
THE U.S. TOUR GETS UNDERWAY OCTOBER 1

“The Fragile Tour 2025, The Album Series” Art (Download)

Influential and pioneering Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees YES—who are Steve Howe (guitars, vocals), Geoff Downes (keyboards), Jon Davison (vocals, acoustic guitar), Billy Sherwood (bass guitar, vocals), and Jay Schellen (drums)—have today (June 10) announced their “The Fragile Tour 2025, The Album Series” set for this fall in the U.S. This “evening with Yes” trek launches October 1 in Wallingford, CT and wraps November 16 in Reno, NV. Tickets go on sale June 13. Go to www.yesworld.com/live for ticketing information.

At these shows, the progressive rock titans will perform their iconic Fragile album in its entirety along with classics cuts from their legendary body of work. The multi-platinum album features their signature songs “Roundabout,” “Long Distance Runaround,” and “Heart of the Sunrise.” Fragile, the band’s fourth studio album, was released in the UK in November 1971 and in the US in January 1972. The “Fragile Tour” is regarded as a key moment is YES’ history—it’s when the band became a headline act in the US.

“All the band’s albums had a unique feel and approach,” says Steve Howe. “After ‘The Yes Album,’ so many things came together, with [co-producer] Eddie Offord steering the proceedings. While the band focused on only four main songs with full arrangements, each of us wrote and designed a solo piece, which was Bill [Bruford]’s great idea. It’s fairly ‘odd-ball,’ but we were at the height of our creativity, determined for success.” Howe adds: “It gave us confidence, further than our own in-stock belief, we’d crafted this unusual but noticeable musical twist to rock and what later became prog.”

Fragile also marks the band’s first album to be designed by Roger Dean. He would also design many of YES’ future album covers, the band’s logo, and live stage sets. This striking union of music and design is key in how YES’ sound and vision would be perceived; it also underlined how important artistic visuals were becoming in the rock world. On “The Fragile Tour 2025,” YES will perform in front of a video wall featuring AI treatment of Dean’s art, bringing YES’ art into the 2020s.  Roger Dean art will be available in the merch area at all the shows.

“Roger was and is quintessential to the look of Yes,” notes Howe. “He’s still creating great paintings and design—he has no competition.”
