2026 GRAMMY AWARD WINNER FOR BEST REGGAE ALBUM”
CONFIRMS MAY PERFORMANCES

Keznamdithe 2026 Grammy Award winner for “Best Reggae Album” for BLXXD & FIYAH—has confirmed shows in Los Angeles at the Hotel Cafe on May 13 and New York City at S.O.B.’s on May 20, with additional 2026 shows to be announced. Tickets are available at Keznamdi’s official website HERE. Watch a video reel HERE.

Keznamdi is the compelling Kingston, Jamaica–born singer-songwriter whose music feels like a passport stamp: rooted in reggae’s spiritual backbone yet shaped by a life lived across continents. Keznamdi spent his formative years in Tanzania and later completed high school in Ethiopia, absorbing East African rhythm, culture, and communal spirit, elements that still echo through his melodies and cadence. Read a Q&A below with Keznamdi where he talks about his Grammy win, influences, unique upbringing, and philosophy on life.

The upcoming dates mark Keznamdi’s first live shows since his second album BLXXD & FIYAH was honored at the Grammy Awards earlier this month in Los Angeles. In his acceptance speech, Keznamdi said, “Reggae music has always been a music which defends truths and rights and African liberation and Black man redemption. We have to give thanks…we represent Jamaican culture and Dancehall and Reggae. Rastafari!”

BLXXD & FIYAH (released August 2025) is a bold, narrative-driven body of work framing “blood” as sacrifice and “fyah” as transformation. Featuring Mavado, Masicka, Marlon Asher, and Kelissa, the album expanded Keznamdi’s sonic world while sharpening its moral center—confronting injustice, championing ownership, and calling for spiritual and economic elevation. The album’s many highlights include “Colonial Bondage,” “Identity Crisis,” “Pressure” and “Forever Grateful.”

KEZNAMDI
Q&A

•Winning a Grammy Award is for many a life-changing experience. Can you describe the feeling when you heard you’d won and the significance of the award for your career?

Keznamdi: I think it’s definitely a life-changing experience and a dream come true for any aspiring musician. But it’s bigger than that for me as a grass roots artist, to be able to represent such a sacred culture and a music that is more than just entertainment on the global stage is a humbling experience. It also reminds me how important it is to stay focused and not get distracted by why we chose to write such an album in the first place.

•Your songs movingly capture the feelings of existing in a difficult world and offer hope through positivity. How do you maintain that balance in your music and in your life?

Keznamdi: I’m a blessed individual to have a strong foundation of parents who are real revolutionaries who dedicate their lives to culture and the betterment of humanity. I also have a strong team of managers and creative directors who I genuinely feel the almighty brought into my life as my guardian angels.

•When someone leaves a concert of yours, what do you want
them to take away from it?

Keznamdi: The concert for me is the connection part of the music, it’s where I get to connect with the listener and I hope that connection will inspire someone to look deep within themself or just to be a tool for someone in these hard times!!!

•Your music obviously draws upon your experiences from living in many different places throughout your life including being born in Kingston. What have been some highlights?

Keznamdi: I had a very unique upbringing with parents of the Rastafari faith but also growing up in Tanzania and Ethiopia as a Jamaican. I feel like that’s a superpower that gave me tools to connect with all walks of life, whether that’s from the inner cities of Jamaica to Africa to the first world.

•If you could have a conversation with anyone who’s living or dead, who would it be and why?

Keznamdi: As I said I’m grateful to have the parents I have. My father is a very wise and spiritual man, and I give thanks he’s still here with me and whenever I’m in his presence it’s not only a joy but always a reminder of Self!!!

•Beyond music, where do you draw inspiration from? Any particular films, books or anything else?

Keznamdi: This little thing called life is greatest inspiration, even a dog or a bird can teach you something!!!

•Which famous historical event would you like to have witnessed and why?

Keznamdi: I don’t really look at life like that. All I have is my experience and I know nothing outside of that.

•What was the most memorable concert you attended and how did it affect you?

Keznamdi: I remember going to a Raging Fyah concert, a grass roots band from Jamaica when I was younger and I just remember how profound it made me feel about the new conscious music coming out of Jamaica.

•Which album by another artist has had a profound effect on your life?

Keznamdi: I think like everyone else, the entire Marley family has done great works in humanity but also Burning Spear.

•If you record a cover song with an artist outside your genre, which song would that be and who would you like your collaborator to be?

Keznamdi: There is a song that I cover when I’m on tour by a very special artist. That song is “Valerie” by Amy Winehouse, she’s a very special soul and I truly love her songs.

About Keznamdi

Keznamdi is a Kingston, Jamaica–born singer-songwriter whose music feels like a passport stamp: rooted in reggae’s spiritual backbone, but shaped by a life lived across continents. Raised in a home where his parents led the reggae outfit Chakula, an environment that made music feel less like a dream and more like daily language he was recording early, contributing his first track (“Mix A Color”) at just five years old.

That foundation expanded into a truly global perspective. Keznamdi spent formative years in Tanzania and later completed high school in Ethiopia, absorbing East African culture, rhythm, and community elements that still echo through his melodies and cadence today. He eventually relocated to California to attend St. Mary’s College on a soccer scholarship, and when an injury redirected his path, music became the central focus not as a fallback, but as destiny arriving on schedule.

Sonically, Keznamdi stands at the intersection of tradition and now: a sweet blend that threads reggae and dancehall with global influences (including Bongo Flava, R&B, and rap), delivered with a writer’s intent and a performer’s warmth. As he puts it: “My music is a message…everyone of my song dem have a purpose.”

Over the years, his catalog has traced a steady climb—beginning with Bridging the Gap (2013), featuring collaborations like “My Love For You” with Chronixx and “Darkness” with Kabaka Pyramid. He followed with Skyline Levels Vol. 1 (2017), home to “Victory” (ft. Chronixx), and the project debuted at No. 3 on the iTunes reggae album charts (per Berklee). His debut full-length album Bloodline arrived in 2020, setting the stage for a bigger statement to come.

That statement is BLXXD & FYAH (released August 22, 2025): a bold, narrative-driven body of work that frames “blood” as sacrifice and “fyah” as transformation “a call…a message…a movement” with the fire aimed squarely at injustice. Featuring Kelissa, Mavado, Marlon Asher, and Masicka, the album expands Keznamdi’s world while keeping its moral center intact. The impact has already reached music’s highest stage: BLXXD & FYAH earned Keznamdi his first GRAMMY® for Best Reggae Album at the 68th Annual GRAMMY Awards (2026 GRAMMYs).

The COPA ROOM at Tuscany Suites & Casino launched its rock entertainment in July 2025 with an upgraded sound system. The venue has a capacity of 150-200 (depending on the layout), with areas designed for both seating and standing. “It’s good to see the Tuscany stepping up to give live music a proper venue in Sin City,” noted Taylor T. Carlson in his ZRockR review (8/15/2025) of the Saints of Las Vegas show. A full-service bar is available with well drinks priced at $10-12 and beers between $5-7. Self-parking and valet parking at the Tuscany are always complimentary.

ABOUT THE COPA ROOM:

“We love rock music ourselves and as fans want to bring an experience that fans enjoy,” says Grayson McNees, General Manager, Tuscany Suites & Casino. “We’ve upgraded our sound system and made changes to the room to make it capable of providing an experience that meets both brand and fan standards. Now that those are in place, we are very excited to host these shows.” McNees adds that he and his team were “heavily inspired by The Viper Room,” the legendary Los Angeles club, and feel that rock audiences will resonate with the COPA ROOM. The COPA ROOM will present “no cover” bands monthly but will mix in ticketed shows as well. Our goal is to bring in the best acts we can for the Vegas rock community and visitors to the city,” adds McNees.

CHLOE TRUJILLO Releases Video For “Lies” From Her Independent New EP ‘Rebirth’ Out March 5

CHLOE TRUJILLO
RELEASES VIDEO FOR SECOND SINGLE
LIES
FROM HER INDEPENDENT NEW EP
‘REBIRTH’
OUT MARCH 5

With her sights set on a March 5 release for her independent new solo EP REBIRTH, singer and songwriter CHLOE TRUJILLO has unveiled the final video for “Lies” from the collection. Watch the clip HERE.

CHLOE says the haunting and sonically heavy Middle Eastern-tinged track “is all about letting go of those lies we tell ourselves, freeing the ego, limiting beliefs, control, old identities and opening up to receive a higher truth. True spiritual insight comes from piercing beyond illusions, our own and the worlds or society’s and shedding old layers to reveal our truth.”

CHLOE teamed up with producer Alejandro Ordonez and Raubtier Productions (she previously worked with the team for her “Path” video) for the clip’s direction. To fully capture the authenticity of the magical ritualistic moment around the fire which further enhances the song’s message, the video highlights two native dancers, Ba’ac Garcia and M.Baaker.

“Lies” follows the album’s first single, the soulfully expressive metal song “As the Sky is Falling Down.” The track’s ominous guitar underscores the Paris-born and Los Angeles-based artist’s moving and haunting delivery. The delicate hum gives way to a trudging groove, and CHLOE proclaims, “As the sky is falling down, I stand tall, wreckage all around, but I won’t fall. Her spoken word transfixes over the turbulent bridge. Listen to the song HERE and watch the video, which includes dramatic scenes of CHLOE shot at the ocean, HERE.

REBIRTH evokes the sound of change out loud. You can hear the past being shed, the present being seized, and the future being manifested through her spirited conjurations of soulfully expressive metal. CHLOE carefully crafted what would become REBIRTH throughout 2024 and 2025. Her songwriting process is ongoing and ever evolving. When choosing the songs for the new EP, she says, “I have a stash of hundreds of songs waiting to be properly recorded, so for this EP I selected four of those to finish. I already have another 6 or 7 in mind for my next release.” Following writing, she teamed up with producer Jake Carmona to bring it to life in the studio.

ABOUT CHLOE TRUJILLO:

An empathetic Renaissance woman through and through, the Paris-born and Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, visual artist, designer, and consummate creative.

KillerStar Photo by Briony Graham-Rudd (Download) / single artwork (Download)

There’s no one quite like KillerStar. The band’s founders, songwriter Rob Fleming (Vocals, Guitar, Synths) and James Sedge (Drums), started the band fuelled by a shared love of ‘70s art-rock and contemporary alternative bands—and they were soon boosted by an array of David Bowie’s most trusted collaborators, who had each organically gravitated towards the project. As the March 20 release of their second album THE AFTERGLOW approaches, KillerStar now further preview the record with their new single “Rubicon.” Listen HERE.

“Rubicon” is epic both in scope and duration. It unfolds like a journey, its progressive leanings in perfect equilibrium with the band’s desire to make every moment count. The duo’s collaborators summon a touch of prime Bowie spirit while doing something entirely fresh, especially with ambient guitar work by Gerry Leonard and a sprawling, fluid solo from Rob Fleming and Earl Slick as does Mark Garson’s atmospheric keys. The song also features bass from Mark Plati, ethereal vocal harmonies from The Webb Sisters (David Gilmour, Leonard Cohen), and backing vocals from Emm Grynor.

Lyrically, “Rubicon” takes one of history’s bravest, boldest adventures as a metaphor for facing up to big dilemmas of our own. As Rob Fleming says, “The song is about crossing the point of no return, on two levels–Julius Caesar’s crossing of the Rubicon River and anyone’s individual decision points regarding tackling tough decisions.”

As with the rest of the upcoming album, Rob Fleming and James Sedge produced “Rubicon” with Dave Eringa (Manic Street Preachers, The Who), who also mixed the record. The result is that ‘The Afterglow’ is rich with glam, art-rock, hook-laden pop, even a touch of jazz, all held together by killer melodies and lyrical themes on life, love and remembering. It is both spiritually in tune and a natural evolution from their acclaimed self-debut, which earned praise from MOJO, Louder Than War, Vintage Guitar and many more.

THE AFTERGLOW is available to pre-order / pre-save HERE. Its physical formats are a limited edition silver vinyl, black vinyl, and CD.

KillerStar have quickly become regulars at London’s 100 Club, with three sold-out shows at the historic venue already behind them. They will celebrate the release of THE AFTERGLOW by returning for a three-night residency from March 5-7 – the run having recently been extended due to phenomenal demand for tickets. The line-up is led by Rob Fleming and James Sedge, with special guest Earl Slick and fellow album contributors Mike Garson and Mark Plati. They will be joined by Dom Beken (Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets), backing vocals from Ulrika Bergelind and Gail Windrass, and saxophone courtesy of Simon Bates (Elvis Costello).

March 7 is sold-out, but limited tickets remain available HERE for the opening two nights.

CRASHING WAYWARD are back with a powerful new chapter. The Las Vegas–based modern rock band today (February 25) have unveiled the video for their new gripping single “Holding For Dear Life” ahead of the track’s release this Friday (February 27) via Golden Robot Records. Watch the video, directed by Jack Banks, HERE and pre-save it now on all major streaming platforms HERE.

Following their critically acclaimed debut album, which earned a 7/10 rating from UK’s Classic Rock magazine and praise for “defying pigeonholing,” CRASHING WAYWARD continue to push their sound forward with music that is both emotionally raw and sonically expansive.

‘Holding For Dear Life’ is a gripping blend of theatrical vocals, hypnotic guitar lines, and dynamic rhythms that surge with urgency and vulnerability. Lyrically, the song explores devotion, obsession, and survival in the modern age— love as faith, desire as religion, and connection as both salvation and danger. Lines like “Holding on to a modern love / Holding on to new religion / I’m saying my prayers tonight” capture the track’s tension between transcendence and self-destruction.

The single, produced by Shawn McGhee (Disturbed, Drowning Pool, Strung Out, Dark Chapel), appears on the band’s forthcoming six-song EP The Fight Within, an electrifying and introspective release that showcases CRASHING WAYWARD at their most confident and compelling. Across the EP (release date TBA), the band deliver top-shelf songs that, in their own words, “speak a lot about life as we know it, reflecting outward to inward.” The EP, set to be released in the third quarter of 2026, promises a kaleidoscopic journey through modern rock’s emotional extremes.

With “Holding For Dear Life,” CRASHING WAYWARD reaffirm their reputation as a band unafraid to go deep, pairing cinematic intensity with heartfelt storytelling.

ABOUT CRASHING WAYWARD

CRASHING WAYWARD came together in 2020 with a shared urgency to create something real. Comprised of members Peter Summit (vocals), David Harris (Guitar), Carl Raether (Bass), Tucker Jones (Guitar) and Jon Gunder (Drums), their debut album, ‘LISTEN!’, blends modern rock with sharp songwriting and a punch of emotion, capturing the tension and release of a world in lockdown. The lead single ‘Breathe’ picked up traction fast, landing on major playlists and modern rock radio across the U.S. and Canada. Produced by Mike Gillies (Metallica, The Cult), the album introduced a band with something to say, and the sound to back it up.

Recently in the studio with producer Shawn McGhee (Disturbed, Drowning Pool, Strung Out, Dark Chapel), CRASHING WAYWARD is sharpening their sound with a heavier, more direct edge. They’re touring nationally, releasing new music consistently, and gearing up for a high-profile first tour of 2026. Backed by a live show that hits with both intensity and connection, the band is building something bigger, loud, raw, and fully in tune with a new wave of modern rock fans.
