Multi-instrumentalist, producer, and global sensation TASH SULTANA has just unveiled their most personal work to date with the new EP, RETURN TO THE ROOTS—a six-track collection that strips away the noise and dives straight into the heart of raw, unfiltered artistry.

RETURN TO THE ROOTS marks a bold recalibration: a reconnection with the spirit of spontaneity and freedom that first ignited TASH’s meteoric rise nearly a decade ago. Equal parts nostalgic and evolved, the EP captures the push and pull of growing up in the spotlight, all while clinging to the moments that made the music feel magical in the first place.

“My goal for Return to the Roots EP,” explains TASH, “was to capture a feeling that I used to have when I played music for no other reason than pure, honest, unfiltered art.”

Today, TASH SULTANA also releases the official live performance visuals for the focus track and fan-favourite “Kiss The Sky”—a song that began as a spontaneous jam and quickly took on a life of its own. Cryptic yet deeply personal, the track’s raw energy first captured fans during a live set and has since evolved into a full-blown anthem. After resurfacing on TikTok earlier this year, teaser clips racked up over 3.5 million views, firmly cementing its place as a standout moment in TASH’s growing catalogue.

[Los Angeles, CA – May 28, 2025] — Alt rock favorites Yellowcard are celebrating the announcement of their new album Better Days by releasing the lead single and title track “Better Days” along with album track “honestly i.” Better Days is the band’s first full feature length album in almost a decade and will be available on October 10^th. This highly anticipated album is produced as well as executive produced by Travis Barker. Barker also plays drums on every song.

The single “Better Days” is an unflinching reflection on gratitude, forgiveness, perspective, and purpose. Once ubiquitous on MTV and the Billboard Hot 100, the Vans Warped Tour veterans, whose first two albums produced double-platinum and gold title tracks, sound fully recharged and revitalized in 2025. William Ryan Key, Sean Mackin, Ryan Mendez, and Josh Portman have never sounded stronger. The song “Better Days” is also accompanied by a music video that has the guys depicting iconic 80’s movie characters performing in a vintage video shop. Directed by Jordan Phoenix, the video is a refection of how much fun the guys are having this time around as a band and with their music. Ryan Key says, “We are focused on this chapter of our career being about happiness.

This is the most fun we’ve had making a video in 20 years and we hope everyone has a smile on their face when they watch it.”

The band agreed that making a new album was pointless unless it was the best of their career. They refused to rush the process and for the first time gave themselves permission to ask for help. Ryan Mendez invited his long time friend Nick Long into the writing sessions and it was through Long that Barker became part of the project, coming on board to play drums and produce the whole album.

“I started the record as one version of myself and came out the other side changed,” says front man Ryan Key who credits Barker with a significant impact on his personal and creative studio breakthroughs. “I went in knowing I needed help. I came out of it writing songs like I was 19 again.”

Formed in Jacksonville FL in 1997, Yellowcard became one of the most influential bands in the 2000’s alternative rock scene. Known for blending high energy pop punk with a signature violin twist, their 2003 breakthrough Ocean Avenue is certified Platinum with the title track now certified 2 times platinum. With over 4 million albums sold worldwide and over 1 billion streams, the band is poised for continued success on this new endeavor. After disbanding in 2017, Yellowcard reunited in 2022 entering into a new creative era and a year packed with a global tour to support it.

The Enduring Legacy of Dwight Yoakam

30 years ago today, Dwight Yoakam’s thrilling “Dwight Live”album was released. Mitch Schneider had the honor of doing the album’s PR with Tresa Redburn at MSO (now SRO).

Mitch and Tresa were both flown by Dwight’s team to the Warfield in San Francisco where the album was recorded in 1994 during his lengthy tour for his triple platinum 1993 album “This Time.” Mitch and Tresa also publicized that album in the Levine/Schneider PR days.

For modern country music, it still doesn’t get better than Dwight.

Acclaimed country trio CHAPEL HART—known for their joyous vocal blend and proudly independent point of view—are rolling into summer with a just-released new collaborative single/video, tour dates, and two CMA Fest shows, plus an Opry at the Ryman – Opry 100 performance (all listed below). Sisters Danica and Devynn Hart, along with their cousin Trea Swindle, have earned national and global attention with their three albums—Out The Mud, The Girls Are Back In Town, and most recently, Glory Days—and they’re now excitingly building a new momentum.

HOME FREE give the track a hard-to-beat mix of snappy rhythm and bright harmony, while CHAPEL HART raise the stakes, showing off their delightful three-of-a-kind blend. And no one is bluffing about their talent.

The dream-team collaboration was inspired after CHAPEL HART shared a CMA red carpet with Home Free and witnessed the band’s impromptu “Texas Hold ‘Em” rendition.

“From the very first time we met Home Free at the Alabama June Jam, we insisted that we do a project together one day, AND THE DAY HAS COME!” says CHAPEL HART’s Danica Hart. “We saw them sing this song on [the CMA] red carpet and thought ‘What a cool a cappella rendition!’ And when they said, ‘Chapel Hart…Let’s make this BIGGER,’ we said ‘Yes!’

“We didn’t know what to expect shuffling eight voices and personalities on one song, but WOW!” she goes on. “Adding a little spice to the flour and oil Home Free already had in the pan, it’s safe to say we cooked up a country-fried cover we know y’all will love as much as we do!”

Meanwhile, an official music video ups the fun-loving ante, showing fast friends ready to throw (the chips) down. Directed by Jimmy Bates, the dive-bar romper captures a rowdy night of harmony and howling at the moon, living it up in the song’s go-for-broke style. Full of singing, dancing and getting the party started, both bands celebrate feeling lucky to be alive in a clip praised by the Queen B’s mom herself, Tina Knowles. Watch the video HERE.

CHAPEL HART is on a globe-trotting whirlwind in 2025. It began with a performance with the ACM Live from the Red Barrel Lounge concert series in February on Princess Cruises, followed by performances in New Orleans for two April festival appearances: French Quarter Festival and the acclaimed New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, and they’ve just returned from a tour and recent performance dates in South Korea (performing for U.S. troops.) Coming up are shows at the 2025 CMA FEST and Opry at the Ryman celebrating Opry’s 100-year anniversary in downtown Nashville in June (see performance dates/stages below.) The trio then flies off for a summer tour taking them to Copenhagen, Faroe Islands, Norway, Germany, and the UK (see dates below). CHAPEL HART is also preparing for a new album out later this year.

Founding guitarist Zoltan Bathory says: “We would have loved to have a shot at reclaiming our masters, or at least to be involved in the transaction but we found out after the fact. Surprised, but not surprised. These kinds of behind closed doors deals have become far too common in the music industry. Labels buy, sell or trade artist’s work without their knowledge or consent, reducing them to soulless commodities. But life is a chess game so when this happened to Taylor Swift, she responded by re-recording her catalog. After that respectably bold move, her fans switched to streaming the new version out of protest and loyalty. We have one of the most hardcore and loyal fan bases on the planet so I know our fans will do the same.”

Coincidentally, this year marks the band’s 20th anniversary, and they were already thinking about how to commemorate two decades worth of music, so when this curveball was thrown, they chose to turn it into something positive and powerful. The idea of a remix or remaster wasn’t enough, so the band created a completely re-recorded 2025 edition to honor the songs and the fans who have made them matter by being with Five Finger Death Punch every step of the way.

Five Finger Death Punch emphasized their respect for the original recordings and the people they made them with but are also excited to breathe new life into fan favorites like “The Bleeding” “Bad Company” and “Wrong Side of Heaven” and to share this new chapter with fans around the world.

The first offering from the 20th Anniversary Edition, in a poetic coincidence happens to be titled “I Refuse,” a fan favorite that was always meant to be a single.
