YES, who are Steve Howe, Geoff Downes, Jon Davison, Billy Sherwood & Jay Schellen, released their latest studio album MIRROR TO THE SKY in May 2023, and following an acclaimed US tour late last year, the band will return to the UK & Europe for ‘The Classic Tales of YES Tour 2024.’

Grammy Award-winner, 5X Native American Music Awards Hall of Fame Lifetime Achievement-winner, and incendiary guitarist MICKI FREE will celebrate the first anniversary of his monthly “Vegas Jam” residency Monday, March 4, at 9:00pm with a very special show at Backstage Bar & Billiards in downtown Vegas. Billed as “A Crazy KISS Connection,” the show will feature his friend Bruce Kulick, who was KISS’ lead guitarist for 12 years (1984-1996). Tickets are available now HERE or via MickiFree.com.

The evening will begin with a set by MICKI and his band The Micki Free Trinity featuring drummer Les Warner (The Cult) and Las Vegas bassist John Stenber, to be followed by a set from Bruce Kulick with musicians Zach Throne (Corey Taylor), Stoney Curtis (Count’s 77), and Warner performing KISS songs. Next, MICKI will join Bruce and the band “jamming on some Jimi Hendrix songs.”

What about the event being called “A Crazy KISS Connection”? “When Bruce was in KISS, Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley were managing my band Crown of Thorns on Interscope Records as ‘Amazing Management,’” recalls MICKI. “I had been working with Gene for years as a solo artist before meeting Bruce. I think Bruce is one of the best additions to the KISS lineup. He is a master guitar-slinger and an all-around accomplished guitarist. And it’s awesome that we both now live in Vegas.”

The March 4 show marks MICKI’s one-year anniversary of playing the first Monday of every month at Backstage Bar & Billiards. “Performing at my residency has made it an ongoing musical deliverance of my guitar pyrotechnics. It keeps me sharp and on the edge, inspiring my guitar performance, especially when joining my buddy Carlos Santana at his residency at The House of Blues in Vegas.”

ABOUT MICKI FREE:

FREE has been on the cutting-edge of the music industry from the start of his career. Having been signed to a management deal with Gene Simmons and Diana Ross that launched his career, FREE joined the legendary R&B group Shalamar where he became friends with Prince. After his departure in the early 90’s, FREE continued his solo career appearing on both the stage and in the studio with iconic artists including Carlos Santana, Janet Jackson, KISS, Little Steven Van Zandt, Aerosmith, Neil Young and Bill Wyman, just to name a few

His most recent album, TURQUOISE BLUE, was released via the Dark Idol Music label distributed by Burnside Distribution / The Orchard / Sony and features guest musicians including Gary Clark Jr., Steve Stevens, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram and Cindy Blackman Santana. FREE recently collaborated on a new version of the album’s single “World On Fire (Warrior Remix)” with Blackman Santana and her fellow Santana band members Karl Perazzo and Andy Vargas. Born mixed blood Cherokee/Comanche Native American and Irish descent, FREE has mastered the Native American flute and in addition to his guitar-driven blues rock albums has recorded five flute music albums. He has used his platform to advocate for the Native American community and created the Native Music Rocks program, which gives Native American musicians performance opportunities and also founded the first Native American record company (Native Music Rocks Records).

In 2023, he was chosen to be an official “Envoy” for the World Culture Festival and performed at the massive Olympic-scale unity celebration at The National Mall in Washington, DC. On the event’s opening day (September 29), FREE led the “1,000+ Guitar Ensemble” in a performance of his single, “We Are One,” written, produced, and arranged by FREE specifically for the World Culture Festival. He performs lead vocals and lead & rhythm guitar with assistance from longtime friend and collaborator Cindy Blackman-Santana (drums), Ken Riley (bass, backing vocals) and Lila Gale (backing vocals). CHET ATKINS is the most recorded solo instrumentalist in music history who traveled far to become “Mr. Guitar.” The journey took the legendary icon from Appalachian poverty to international acclaim, from utter obscurity to three Halls of Fame. He is a 14x Grammy Award winner, a Grammy Lifetime Achievement recipient, A Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and a Country Music Hall of Fame inductee.

Now, for the very first time on one album, some of the world’s best guitar players and artists join together to pay a musicians’ tribute to the innovator, songwriter, producer, record company executive and visionary Chet Atkins, as Nashville and the music industry prepare to celebrate what would have been his 100^th birthday on June 20. Featuring 22 players and artists on this 15-track album from the country, rock, bluegrass and acoustic musical realms, WE STILL CAN’T SAY GOOD BYE is due Friday, April 19 on Morningstar Music Productions, distributed by MVD Entertainment. WE STILL CAN’T SAY GOOD BYE was produced by country and bluegrass musician and songwriter and 3 x Grammy-winning producer and guitarist CARL JACKSON (Louvin Brothers) and was recorded at Station West in Nashville, TN with Luke Wooten engineering and mixing. Eric Clapton’s guitars were recorded by Simon Climie.

The album’s first single “Mr. Guitar” will be released Friday, March 15 and is performed by Grammy Award-winning guitarist and artist Tommy Emmanuel C.G.P. and Grammy-winning bluegrass fiddler Michael Cleveland.

“Mentoring and encouraging people is something that Chet always did,” says Emmanuel, one of five people ever named a C.G.P. (Certified Guitar Player) by Chet Atkins. “I try to do this thing with Gareth (Pearson) and I try to do the same with all young people. I encourage them to do things that I learned from Chet. I hope that somewhere somehow, I showed somebody something because of him that changed their life and made their life better. Cause he sure did that for me.”

Along with his new single “What Do I Got To Lose?” (Reigning Phoenix Music) continuing to build momentum at rock radio, SEBASTIAN BACH was recently honored at the 7th Annual Metal Hall of Fame Gala in Anaheim, California. The singer, songwriter, author, Broadway star, and actor was inducted by Wendy Dio at the late January event hosted by popular radio/television host Eddie Trunk and entertainment personality Cathy Rankin. The event’s official website describes SEBASTIAN’s speech as “funny, sincere, off-the-cuff, joyous, full of love…He was gracious, genuine, and truly appreciative of the award, both onstage and offstage with media and fans…”

Meanwhile, “What Do I Got To Lose?” is trending in the Top 40 on the Mediabase’s Active Rock Daily spin chart and SEBASTIAN was just featured on Lex & Terry’s nationally syndicated show and HardDrive syndicated radio. The arena-ready stomp of “What Do I Got To Lose?” was co-written by SEBASTIAN, Myles Kennedy (Alter Bridge, Slash) and Elvis Baskette (Mammoth WVH, Slash), the latter of whom also served as the track’s producer. Guitars lock into a heart-thumping groove on the song as SEBASTIAN’s voice rings out on the refrain, “I’m holding on for judgment day.” The momentum gives way to a fret-burning lead. For the video, SEBASTIAN is joined by his former Skid Row bandmate, drummer Rob Affuso.

On the live front, SEBASTIAN will hit the road in 2024 for a mix of solo gigs and festival appearances, with more dates to be announced. (The initial 2024 dates are below).

CROSSBONE SKULLY’s dynamic sound and captivating lyrics are highlighted across their three consecutive track releases: “Evil World Machine,” “The Boom Went The Boom (feat. Phil Collen),” and “I’m Unbreakable.” The tracks will surpass 1,000,000 combined streams this month as CROSSBONE SKULLY’s streaming success has been on an upward trajectory with a noteworthy 1,350% growth from September 2023 to January 2024. Official lyric and music videos for all three songs have to date established a combined total of over 600,000 views. CROSSBONE SKULLY has also showcased their dedication to global fans by providing translated lyric videos in Spanish, Portuguese, French, and German.

CROSSBONE SKULLY will release their debut album later this year via Better Noise Music. HENRIKSEN convinced legendary producer Mutt Lange (AC/DC, Def Leppard) to emerge from retirement to executive produce the album along with enlisting a first-class lineup of musicians and his celebrity friends and bandmates for its recording sessions. These guests included Johnny Depp, Alice Cooper, Nikki Sixx, Joe Perry, Phil Collen and Kane Roberts; along with first-class recording musicians including Tommy Denander (Alice Cooper), Jamie Muhoberac (My Chemical Romance, John Mayer, Seal), Chris Wyse (Hollywood Vampires, Ace Frehley, the Cult, Ozzy Osbourne), Glen Sobel (Alice Cooper, Hollywood Vampires), the late UFO bassist Pete Way and producer/mixer Mike Plotnikoff (AC/DC, Cher, Aerosmith).

CROSSBONE SKULLY’s live band will consist of HENRIKSEN and WYSE alongside a who’s who of upcoming talent seen in the music video for “I’m Unbreakable” in November. The additional lineup consists of guitarists Sam “Bam” Koltun (Dorothy, Faster Pussycat, Budderside) and Anna Cara—who Henriksen found after seeing her viral YouTube guitar cover videos—and Tuesdai on drums. Throughout the next few months, CROSSBONE SKULLY will release a series of limited-edition 7” vinyl singles with the first of the series having been announced, with the release of “The Boom Went The Boom (feat. Phil Collen of Def Leppard)” last October. Available through their merch store at CrossboneSkully.com, the first 7” single will feature “I’m Unbreakable” as its B-side track. The 7” will also come with a limited-edition signed copy of CROSSBONE SKULLY’s “Thing #1” ashcan comic. Proceeds from the sale of the limited edition 7” vinyl will be donated to the 501(c)(3) charity MusiCares who offer preventive, emergency, and recovery programs for musicians and music industry workers in times of need.

Multi-platinum hard rock powerhouse FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH announced today the digital deluxe edition of AFTERLIFE. Their critically acclaimed ninth studio album will now be released April 5 via Better Noise Music. The deluxe version includes the original 12 tracks recorded with the band’s longtime producer Kevin Churko (Ozzy Osbourne) in addition to four bonus tracks: acoustic versions of the album’s songs “The End,” “Judgement Day,” and “Thanks For Asking” plus a brand new song, “This Is The Way” featuring the legendary late rapper DMX. The official music video for “This Is The Way” (feat. DMX) is directed by none other than highly influential filmmaker Hype Williams, a longtime friend and close collaborator of the late DMX. Hailed by the New York Times in 2024 as “The Nineties Wunderkind,” Hype Williams is known for his seminal work with luminaries like Tupac, Wu-Tang Clan, and Jay-Z amongst others.
