[Los Angeles, CA – September 3, 2025] — Alt rock favorites Yellowcard are celebrating their first-ever #1 record with “Better Days,” ending the longest wait for a first leader at the format. Now comes word that it’s topping the alternative radio charts for the second week in a row.

BETTER DAYS is also the title of the band’s first full-length album in almost a decade. This highly anticipated album is produced in full by Travis Barker and will be available on October 10. Watch the “Better Days” video HERE.

The single “Better Days” is an unflinching reflection on gratitude, forgiveness, perspective, and purpose. Once ubiquitous on MTV and the Billboard Hot 100, the Vans Warped Tour veterans, whose first two albums produced double-platinum and gold title tracks, sound fully recharged and revitalized in 2025. William Ryan Key, Sean Mackin, Ryan Mendez, and Josh Portman have never sounded stronger.

After all this time in a band and being away from the band, I just never imagined that we’d ever have a number one song in anything, but it’s official. At the end of the week ‘Better Days’ was number one at Alternative Radio. The band agreed that making a new album was pointless unless it was the best of their career. They refused to rush the process and for the first time gave themselves permission to ask for help. Ryan Mendez invited his long-time friend Nick Long into the writing sessions and it was through Long that Barker became part of the project, coming on board to play drums and produce the whole album.”

“I started the record as one version of myself and came out the other side changed,” says frontman Ryan Key who credits Barker with a significant impact on his personal and creative studio breakthroughs “ I went in knowing I needed help. I came out of it writing songs like I was 19 again.”

Formed in Jacksonville, FL in 1997 Yellowcard became one of the most influential bands in the 2000’s alternative rock scene known for blending high energy pop punk with a signature violin twist. Their 2003 breakthrough Ocean Avenue is certified Platinum with the title track bring two times platinum. With over four million albums sold worldwide and over one billion streams the band is poised for continued success on this new endeavor. After disbanding in 2017, Yellowcard reunited in 2022 entering into a new creative era and a year packed with a global tour to support it.

About Yellowcard

The COPA ROOM at Tuscany Suites & Casino launched its weekend rock entertainment in mid-July with an upgraded sound system. The 18+ venue has a capacity of 150-200 (depending on the layout), with areas designed for both seating and standing. “It’s good to see the Tuscany stepping up to give live music a proper venue in Sin City,” noted Taylor T Carlson in his ZRockR review (8/15/2025) of the Saints of Las Vegas show.

DD VERNI & THE CADILLAC BAND have today (August 22) released the second single “Two Of A Kind” from their upcoming album BUCKLE UP, which marries rock ‘n roll’s visceral energy and succinct songwriting to suave, swinging throwback arrangements and aesthetics. “Two Of A Kind” notably features the Reverend Horton Heat’s Jim Heath. The song, written by Walden Cassotto and Johnny Mercer, was originally featured on Bobby Darin and Johnny Mercer’s 1961 Two of a Kind album. Listen to the song HERE and watch the video HERE.

“Doing this song with the great Jim Heath was just a a blast!” DD says. “Total pro, he came it and we just hit it off, laughing telling stories etc. It’s funny to have two people from totally different backgrounds—I’m an Italian guy from New Jersey, and he’s a southern guy from Texas—-to share a love for some of the same kind of music just speaks to the power of great songs.”

DD continues, “I first saw Reverend Horton Heat up in Mass, they were doing the show the night before Overkill was playing the NEMHF and I was blown away. Just a great band and a great guitar player. We had never met, I called him completely out of the blue and said I would love you to do this song with you, and he graciously said let’s do to. I came to find out he was a big Johnny Mercer fan and I am a big Bobby Darin fan so it just seemed a great match. We actually met the first time at the video shoot itself!…up until then it had been phone calls and texts.”

“I’m so glad DD asked me to do this duet of ‘Two of a Kind’” Jim Heath says. “The original version by Bobby Darin and Johnny Mercer really speaks to me. When I listened back to my part, singing the Johnny Mercer part, I realized that I kind of sound like Johnny Mercer! I guess that all of those old J. Mercer records my parents played really rubbed off on me—why fight it? I’m thrilled to be on this recording and thrilled to be in the video. It’s an honor to be included with DD and such skilled musicians, recording engineers, and videographers.”

Heath adds, “Working with DD was great. DD Verni and the Cadillac Band have a unique take on swing music, and I think it’s pretty ingenious. The song is cool, and the arrangement is solid with heavy-hitter musicians. Then, when we did the video, during the breaks, I got to talk with DD at length about our careers and discovered that we have a lot in common. Our careers and lives kind of run parallel and there are many shared experiences.”

On BUCKLE UP, out September 19 via DEKO, DD makes big band music more accessible and relatable than ever on the 14-track album. “Two Of A Kind” follows the album’s first track “Lucky 13” (released July 18). BUCKLE UP brings the storm-the-stage ethic of Overkill to DD’s lifelong love of Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Fats Domino and, more recently, the Brian Setzer Orchestra. BUCKLE UP picks up and goes further than their exciting 2021 debut album Let’s Rattle, on which DD sang and played red hot guitar. BUCKLE UP retains all its predecessor’s verve and vitality while adding more evolved horn arrangements written by Jim McMillen, known for his work on TV’s “Beverly Hills 90210” and “Bridgerton,” and with Grammy-winning artists Christina Aguilera and Ricky Kej.

“When I’m writing and demoing these songs, it’s just a guitar and me,” DD explained. “And they should be able to have that energy with just that, before anything else is added.”

Indeed, DD’s fun-first rocker’s approach and robust songcraft has attracted a who’s-who of musicians to the Cadillac Band, intrigued by its stylistic nuances and go-for-broke ethos. BUCKLE UP features longtime Brian Setzer drummer Bernie Dresel and slap bassist Johnny Hatton; horn players with Paul McCartney’s band and The Eagles; pianist Or Matias (Josh Groban/Broadway music director); guitarist Angus Clark (Trans-Siberian Orchestra); and backing vocals by acclaimed pop-rock duo Kingston and GreyStarr. Recorded in New Jersey and Los Angeles, BUCKLE UP was produced by DD and mixed by Michael Frondelli (Billy Idol, Pat Benatar etc.)

Spencer Charnas of Ice Nine Kills)”—THE FUNERAL PORTRAIT (@tfp_devotion) today (August 22) release to radio the “Dark Thoughts” single from their smash GREETINGS FROM SUFFOCATE CITY album. Described by frontman Lee Jennings as “a finger snapping anthemic banger,” the mental health-themed song also appears on the newly released four-track DARK THOUGHTS EP along with a version of the song featuring vocals by Danny Worsnop of Asking Alexandria, a new remix of the song, and a live performance of it from the band’s Atlanta, GA hometown of Atlanta alongside the original version.

“We wanted to put together something special and different that we haven’t done for the Coffin Crew [the band’s devoted following],” explains singer Lee Jennings. “The other cool thing about this EP is that we are including the live version that we recorded at our first-ever town hall meeting in Atlanta. This marked our first sold-out show in our hometown.”

About the song itself, Jennings explains that “‘Dark Thoughts’ is a fun and energetic song meant to highlight our own mental health struggles. I wrote it about being diagnosed with OCD, I’m glad that more people can relate. This song is one of my personal favorites on the album. It’s deeply rooted in feeling trapped in your own head, like you have no one to reach out to who would understand or have an answer. It’s a statement both about the band and our fans. Depression, anxiety, and mental health crisis events are a ubiquitous experience for us, and the people who connect with our art. It can be such a terrifying and daunting task to try to overcome, but we hope that by connecting with others, we can support each other as a community in times when things seem the most bleak.”

GREETINGS FROM SUFFOCATE CITY – FROM BEYOND THE ABYSS: DELUXE EDITION was released June 13 via Better Noise Music, with digital, CD, and vinyl copies available HERE. It contains 24 songs including tracks from the CASSANOVA EP and the FROM BEYOND THE ABYSS EP, as well as “Holy Water” feat. Ivan Moody of Five Finger Death Punch, “Hearse for Two” feat. Lilith Czar and three brand new songs: “Skinny Lies,” “Evergreen,” and “Lost Boy.” The vinyl and CD two-disc deluxe packages feature 21 tracks, one of which is exclusive to the physical formats (“Friends Like These”).

The album that was originally released September 13, 2024 via Better Noise Music consists of 14 tracks of theatrical, dramatic, unapologetic, full-throated flair with guest appearances from Bert McCracken of The Used, Spencer Charnas of Ice Nine Kills, Danny Worsnop of Asking Alexandria, and Amanda Lyberg of Eva Under Fire.

THE FUNERAL PORTRAIT is committed to championing well-being within the music industry (and beyond). They’re proud to raise awareness of Music Support, the charity that helps anyone who works in the U.K. music industry experiencing substance use, addiction, and/or mental health challenges. They support all areas of the industry, whether on stage or behind the scenes. The campaign for THE FUNERAL PORTRAIT began in August 2022, almost three years ago, with the release of “Voodoo Doll” when they were an opening band in 300-400 person venues (or smaller). Now they’re drawing the biggest crowds at the major festivals, touring all year with bands like Ice Nine Kills, and gearing up for a European tour this fall.

After wrapping up a slew of appearances at summer festivals including Warped Tour and Rock Fest, THE FUNERAL PORTRAIT’s on-going tour schedule isn’t slowing down anytime soon. They’ve been invited to be a part of the “ICE NINE KILLS: HELL OF A SUMMER TOUR” along with Dayseeker, Kim Dracula, and Mest, which is currently underway. The Live Nation-produced tour is bringing the bands to arenas and amphitheaters across the country. Tickets are available via Ice Nine Kills’ website. Once that tour wraps, they’ll stay on the road as part of In This Moment’s “Black Mass Tour” with Dayseeker and DED, which kicks off September 18. Tickets are available via In This Moment’s website. In the midst of all those tours, they’ll make more appearances at Rocklahoma on August 31 and at Louder Than Life on November 20, followed by another Warped Tour show on November 15 in Orlando, FL. Later this year, they’ll take off for Europe for a three-week trek with The Rasmus.

On the first Thursday of every month, Bikini Bull Riding Ladies Night features $3 drinks for ladies. All bull riding participants receive a free bikini from Stoney’s Rockin’ Country, and ladies can compete for $1,000 in cash prizes. DJ Manda will teach line dance lessons, and DJ all night long.

ABOUT THE KRUSE BROTHERS

During a time when the popular choice is to chase the double yellow line down the road to country radio, fresh to the table, The Kruse Brothers want to earn their seat at the country music table, but not by chasing the status quo. The Arizona-raised five-piece is a fusion of Country, Americana, and folk-rock stacked on a blues foundation.

Brothers Chandler and Miles, the band’s core, take turns as lead vocalists, creating a dynamic duo with a diverse sound ready for an expansive audience.
