As they gear up for a headline European tour that begins November 7 in Tampere, Finland, 3x-Grammy-nominated and four-time #1 rock outfit NOTHING MORE (@nothingmoremusic) have today (October 17) released their interpretation of “We’re in This Together” by Nine Inch Nails—currently on tour to promote their latest TRON: Ares (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) album—from 1999’s The Fragile. It’s a song that has always held great meaning for the boundary-pushing alternative metal band—Jonny Hawkins (vocals), Mark Vollelunga (guitar), Daniel Oliver (bass), and Ben Anderson (drums)—and one they in fact started recording 11 years ago before being sidetracked by creating their own music.

“‘We’re in This Together’ sounds like a love song colliding with a war cry,” says frontman Jonny Hawkins. “Alan Watts [the British American writer and orator] once said that ‘you are the universe experiencing itself’—and this song embodies that truth. It’s us against the world, and this song is my inner monologue.”

The band’s guitarist Mark Vollelunga elaborates. “This song is from my favorite Nine Inch Nails’ album, The Fragile, and by far one of my favorite NIN songs. It’s such a beautiful cataclysm. Essentially, it’s a love song, but as I dove deeper, my interpretation shifted to it being about my relationship to my personal demons and mental trauma. It’s about making peace with those monsters and accepting who and what they are while realizing they will always be a part of me,” he adds. “It took a long time to achieve that cathartic clarity in regard to the very real nature of that evil’s presence. We actually started recording the song 11 years ago, and it’s just been lying in wait until recently. I was upset we hadn’t released it earlier, but I now believe its relevance and timing couldn’t be more immaculate.”

The standalone track “We’re in This Together” follows NOTHING MORE’s most recent single/video “EXISTENTIAL DREAD,” which marks the fifth release from their 2024 album, CARNAL. The album has notably spawned four back-to-back #1 rock singles—“If It Doesn’t Hurt,” “ANGEL SONG (featuring David Draiman),” “HOUSE ON SAND” (featuring Eric Vanlerberghe),” and “FREEFALL” (featuring Chris Daughtry)—on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay” and Mediabase “Active Rock” charts and amassed 193.5 million global streams. With this chart distinction, the band joins a special group of artists including Metallica, Linkin Park, Five Finger Death Punch, Papa Roach, and Falling In Reverse who’ve achieved the same honor.

A deluxe edition of CARNAL was released this past March and is also available on CD and vinyl. Five bonus tracks on CARNAL (DELUXE) include a new version of the bracing “FREEFALL,” featuring 6x Platinum-certified rock artist Chris Daughtry, and a live version of “ANGEL SONG.” The latter track was recorded at the band’s set at Aftershock Festival 2024 where NOTHING MORE was joined onstage by guest vocalist David Draiman.

NOTHING MORE’s upcoming headline European tour gets underway November 7 in Tampere, Finland, with support from Catch Your Breath, Solence, and Ankor. Early next year, starting January 14, 2026 in Silver Spring, MD, the band will launch another round of headlining shows throughout the U.S. and Canada, with support by Catch Your Breath, Archers, and Doobie. 3x-Grammy-nominated and four-time #1 rock outfit NOTHING MORE (@nothingmoremusic) caused quite a stir about their latest video, “EXISTENTIAL DREAD,” before it was even officially released yesterday (August 18).

For the video, posted at Better Noise Music’s YouTube page HERE, the boundary-pushing band partnered with AI director/editor Jurassic Smoothie. After only a teaser trailer was shared (Friday, August 15), a debate online about the use of AI to create music videos and art was quickly sparked. The next day, singer Jonny Hawkins spoke with RockFeed to personally share his thoughts.

He also commented on the band’s Instagram in response to fans being unhappy with the AI medium. “AI didn’t make a video for us. We hired an artist, I plotted out a vision, theme and visuals. Then that artist used AI to start generating images that he edited together through multiple versions with notes… and then tweaked that into a visual experience for the viewer.” Hawkins adds: “There is a huge difference between *letting* a machine create something and *using* a machine to create something. Nine Inch Nails is a perfect example of a prolific artist who used machines to sculpt their sound. It’s all about how you use the tool that determines art, not which tools you are using.”

The release of “EXISTENTIAL DREAD” comes on the heels of the band earning their fourth #1, from the CARNAL album, on the Billboard “Mainstream Rock Airplay” and Mediabase “Active Rock” charts with “FREEFALL” (feat. Chris Daughtry).” A new version of the bracing “FREEFALL,” featuring 6x Platinum-certified rock artist Chris Daughtry, was released March 28 on all digital outlets. The “FREEFALL” video movingly tells the story about a firefighter who is struggling with his mental health and unexpectedly finds a new life-direction after making a chance connection with a homeless dog. The video for “FREEFALL (feat. Chris Daughtry)”—filmed in Clifton, Tennessee—features the town’s fire chief and sheriff, who also served as technical advisors on the subject matter. In casting for this narrative-driven video, the band prioritized collaborating with individuals who understand the unique challenges faced by firefighters and first responders. To ensure even more authenticity, they enlisted real-life heroes as technical advisors. Additionally, director/actor Michael Lombardi was asked by the band to star in the video because of his personal experience and affiliation with firefighters. Lombardi is well-known for his role as a series regular in the acclaimed FX series “Rescue Me,” which aired for 100 episodes and received multiple Golden Globe and Emmy nominations and wins and delved into the lives of firefighters grappling with real-life issues, including the aftermath of 9/11 trauma and personal struggles.

Boundary-pushing 3x-Grammy-nominated outfit NOTHING MORE recently achieved a new career milestone when “HOUSE ON SAND” (feat. Eric Vanlerberghe from I Prevail) became the third single from their critically acclaimed CARNAL album via Better Noise Music to hit the #1 spot on the Billboard “Mainstream Rock Airplay” and Mediabase “Active Rock” charts following “ANGEL SONG (feat. David Draiman)” and “IF IT DOESN’T HURT.”

Today (May 13), NOTHING MORE—Jonny Hawkins (vocals), Mark Vollelunga (guitar), Daniel Oliver (bass), and Ben Anderson (drums)—build on this momentum by announcing new headlining shows throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe. The dates in Europe, with support by Catch Your Breath, Solence, and Ankor, launch November 7 in Tampere, Finland, while the U.S. and Canada shows, with support by Catch Your Breath, Archers, and Doobie, begin January 14, 2026 in Silver Spring, MD.

NOTHING MORE’s fan presale will begin Tuesday, May 13 at 12pm ET for North America and Wednesday, May 14 at 10am local time for Europe on their official website along with VIP Meet and Greet packages. General tickets will be available Friday, May 16 at 10am local time on the band’s official website.

This touring news from one of rock’s most electrifying bands comes as the deluxe edition of CARNAL (DELUXE) will physically be available on CD and vinyl this Friday, May 16 HERE. It was originally released across all digital outlets on March 28 via Better Noise Music.

CARNAL (DELUXE) adds on five bonus tracks, including a new version of the bracing “FREEFALL,” featuring 6x Platinum-certified rock artist Chris Daughtry, available now on all digital outlets, while the moving video can be seen on Better Noise Music’s official YouTube page. In connection with the song and video release, the band is featuring pet-related merchandise on its official website, with a portion of proceeds supporting organizations like K9s For Warriors. Additionally, a donation link is included in the video, allowing for donations to be made directly to the organization’s website.

Four other bonus tracks on CARNAL (DELUXE) include a live version of the “ANGEL SONG” recorded from the band’s set at Aftershock Festival 2024 where NOTHING MORE was joined onstage by guest vocalist David Draiman of Disturbed; two remixed songs from Matt Good (Hollywood Undead, Asking Alexandria) and Justin “JD” Deblieck (Ice Nine Kills, Motionless In White); plus a new song that was released February 7, “WE’RE ALL GONNA DIE.” Fans can view the lyric video for “WE’RE ALL GONNA DIE” HERE and stream/download the song HERE.

CARNAL underlines NOTHING MORE’s full-on assault with soaring melodies and unique soundscapes in songs that unflinchingly embrace raw emotion, which to date amassed 133 million streams. The “FREEFALL” video movingly tells the story about a firefighter who is struggling with his mental health and unexpectedly finds a new life-direction after making a chance connection with a homeless dog. NOTHING MORE teamed up again with director Stephen Wayne Mallet (who did the same honors for the band’s “Fade In, Fade Out” video, from 2017’s THE STORIES WE TELL OURSELVES album, which has over 10M views).

“We wrote an anthem for the people who find themselves in an uncertain and chaotic phase of their life,” explains singer Jonny Hawkins about “FREEFALL.” “Every single one of us have had, or will have, experiences where it feels like the rug is pulled from under us… an end to a relationship, a job loss, or the death of a close family member. These times can be filled with anxiety, or they can be filled with spiritual euphoria as we accept our transformation. We’ve always believed that our losses are invitations to ascend to a higher level of reality…and this song is our way of encapsulating that realization. Chris Daughtry elevated that feeling with his soaring and pristine vocals. We are so honored to have him on one of the best songs we’ve ever written.”

The video—filmed in Clifton, Tennessee—features the town’s fire chief and sheriff, who also served as technical advisors on the subject matter. In casting for this narrative-driven video, the band prioritized collaborating with individuals who understand the unique challenges faced by firefighters and first responders. To ensure even more authenticity, they enlisted real-life heroes as technical advisors. Additionally, director/actor Michael Lombardi was asked by the band to star in the video because of his personal experience and affiliation with firefighters. Lombardi is well-known for his role as a series regular in the acclaimed FX series “Rescue Me,” which aired for 100 episodes and received multiple Golden Globe and Emmy nominations and wins and delved into the lives of firefighters grappling with real-life issues, including the aftermath of 9/11 trauma and personal struggles.

K9s For Warriors is the nation’s leading provider of highly trained Service Dogs for Veterans with invisible wounds of war. “Nothing More have always wanted our music and lyrics to be a shelter for those in need,” says guitarist Mark Vollelunga. “With ‘FREEFALL,’ we want to let people know they are not alone when it feels like everything is collapsing around you. So we did something really special; we teamed up with K9s For Warriors to bring more awareness to those that struggle with PTSD and mental health trauma. It’s their mission to train service dogs and pair them up with veterans and therapy dogs for first responders in need. We fully believe in the power these animals have to help create peace and bring about healthy changes in their companions. I recently met my county constable, Kathryn Brown, who was given a therapy dog from K9s For Warriors and she shared with me just how much Biggie, makes her station and life unbelievably better. So let’s get more of these service dogs and therapy dogs trained and paired up with veterans and first responders in need! I personally know that by rescuing animals, my family and life has been enriched tenfold. And I would say that even though we might think we’re the ones doing the rescuing… they are actually rescuing us.”
