[Los Angeles, CA – May 28, 2025] — Alt rock favorites Yellowcard are celebrating the announcement of their new album Better Days by releasing the lead single and title track “Better Days” along with album track “honestly i.” Better Days is the band’s first full feature length album in almost a decade and will be available on October 10^th. This highly anticipated album is produced as well as executive produced by Travis Barker. Barker also plays drums on every song.

The single “Better Days” is an unflinching reflection on gratitude, forgiveness, perspective, and purpose. Once ubiquitous on MTV and the Billboard Hot 100, the Vans Warped Tour veterans, whose first two albums produced double-platinum and gold title tracks, sound fully recharged and revitalized in 2025. William Ryan Key, Sean Mackin, Ryan Mendez, and Josh Portman have never sounded stronger. The song “Better Days” is also accompanied by a music video that has the guys depicting iconic 80’s movie characters performing in a vintage video shop. Directed by Jordan Phoenix, the video is a refection of how much fun the guys are having this time around as a band and with their music. Ryan Key says, “We are focused on this chapter of our career being about happiness.

This is the most fun we’ve had making a video in 20 years and we hope everyone has a smile on their face when they watch it.”

The band agreed that making a new album was pointless unless it was the best of their career. They refused to rush the process and for the first time gave themselves permission to ask for help. Ryan Mendez invited his long time friend Nick Long into the writing sessions and it was through Long that Barker became part of the project, coming on board to play drums and produce the whole album.

“I started the record as one version of myself and came out the other side changed,” says front man Ryan Key who credits Barker with a significant impact on his personal and creative studio breakthroughs. “I went in knowing I needed help. I came out of it writing songs like I was 19 again.”

Formed in Jacksonville FL in 1997, Yellowcard became one of the most influential bands in the 2000’s alternative rock scene. Known for blending high energy pop punk with a signature violin twist, their 2003 breakthrough Ocean Avenue is certified Platinum with the title track now certified 2 times platinum. With over 4 million albums sold worldwide and over 1 billion streams, the band is poised for continued success on this new endeavor. After disbanding in 2017, Yellowcard reunited in 2022 entering into a new creative era and a year packed with a global tour to support it.

“From the very first time we met Home Free at the Alabama June Jam, we insisted that we do a project together one day, AND THE DAY HAS COME!” says CHAPEL HART’s Danica Hart. “We saw them sing this song on [the CMA] red carpet and thought ‘What a cool a cappella rendition!’ And when they said, ‘Chapel Hart…Let’s make this BIGGER,’ we said ‘Yes!’

“We didn’t know what to expect shuffling eight voices and personalities on one song, but WOW!” she goes on. “Adding a little spice to the flour and oil Home Free already had in the pan, it’s safe to say we cooked up a country-fried cover we know y’all will love as much as we do!”

CHAPEL HART is on a globe-trotting whirlwind in 2025. It began with a performance with the ACM Live from the Red Barrel Lounge concert series in February on Princess Cruises, followed by performances in New Orleans for two April festival appearances: French Quarter Festival and the acclaimed New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, and they’ve just returned from a tour and recent performance dates in South Korea (performing for U.S. troops.) Coming up are shows at the 2025 CMA FEST and Opry at the Ryman celebrating Opry’s 100-year anniversary in downtown Nashville in June (see performance dates/stages below.) The trio then flies off for a summer tour taking them to Copenhagen, Faroe Islands, Norway, Germany, and the UK (see dates below). CHAPEL HART is also preparing for a new album out later this year.

This move comes in response to the recent sale of the band’s original master recordings by their former label, an action made without their knowledge or the opportunity to reclaim their own work.

Founding guitarist Zoltan Bathory says: “We would have loved to have a shot at reclaiming our masters, or at least to be involved in the transaction but we found out after the fact. Surprised, but not surprised. These kinds of behind closed doors deals have become far too common in the music industry. Labels buy, sell or trade artist’s work without their knowledge or consent, reducing them to soulless commodities. But life is a chess game so when this happened to Taylor Swift, she responded by re-recording her catalog. After that respectably bold move, her fans switched to streaming the new version out of protest and loyalty. We have one of the most hardcore and loyal fan bases on the planet so I know our fans will do the same.”

Coincidentally, this year marks the band’s 20th anniversary, and they were already thinking about how to commemorate two decades worth of music, so when this curveball was thrown, they chose to turn it into something positive and powerful. The idea of a remix or remaster wasn’t enough, so the band created a completely re-recorded 2025 edition to honor the songs and the fans who have made them matter by being with Five Finger Death Punch every step of the way.

Five Finger Death Punch emphasized their respect for the original recordings and the people they made them with but are also excited to breathe new life into fan favorites like “The Bleeding” “Bad Company” and “Wrong Side of Heaven” and to share this new chapter with fans around the world.

The first offering from the 20th Anniversary Edition, in a poetic coincidence happens to be titled “I Refuse,” a fan favorite that was always meant to be a single. 6x Platinum and 8x Gold-certified, record-breaking Finnish rock outfit THE RASMUS hold nothing back on their new track, the toxic love-themed “Break These Chains” ft. Niko Vilhelm of Blind Channel. It’s out today (May 16) via Better Noise Music and Playground Music. Driven by the band’s signature blend of dark atmospheres and anthemic melodies, the emotionally gripping song is taken from the album WEIRDO. It arrives September 12, marking their 11^th studio album and first for Better Noise Music. Pre-orders and limited edition merchandise bundles are available now HERE.

“‘Break These Chains’ is about a toxic relationship,” says singer Lauri Ylönen, who digs his teeth into such lethal lyrics as “You made me believe/That true passion makes you bleed/So I stayed too long/To play your twisted games.” Lauri wrote the song with revered hit songwriters/producers Marti Frederiksen and Desmond Child. “It’s about letting go of something that you know is bad for you, but you’re obsessed with.”

For “Break These Chains,” THE RASMUS called on Niko Vilhelm (of the Finnish Nu Metal band Blind Channel) to make a special guest vocal appearance. “The Rasmus are heroes of mine, so obviously I was excited when Lauri called me and asked me to be a part of this song. Even more so when I heard the track. The heavier sound suits them soooo well. I’m so hyped about where they’re headed and what’s to come.”

Most of the songs on WEIRDO were written by Lauri Ylönen, Desmond Child (who contributed to the band’s BLACK ROSES and RISE albums and has worked with Bon Jovi, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, Aerosmith, Alice Cooper, among countless others) and Marti Fredriksen (Aerosmith, Ozzy Osbourne, Black Veil Brides) in Folegandros, Greece. That’s where Lauri and Desmond met up to work on material that Lauri brought. THE RASMUS then did full band demos of all the tracks in Finland in July 2023, with production led by Frederiksen and Child.

Later, they finalized the songs and recorded the album with the whole band in Marti Fredriksen’s Sienna Studios in Nashville. Some of the tracks were mixed by Fredriksen in Nashville, assisted by Evan Fredriksen, while other mixes were done by Chris Baseford (Nickelback, Shinedown, Daughtry) in Vancouver, Canada and by Claudius Mittendorfer (Panic! At The Disco, We Are Scientists) in London, and Joseph McQueen (Bad Wolves, As I Lay Dying, From Ashes To New) in Los Angeles. Additional production by McQueen injects a fresh intensity into tracks like “Creatures of Chaos” and “Break These Chains,” while Ylönen himself takes the helm on “Rest in Pieces” alongside Alex Mattson.

The album’s second single “Creatures of Chaos” arrived March 28, with the video racking up over 521k views. It followed the album’s first single “Rest In Pieces,” released October 25, 2024, paired with a lyric video which now has amassed over 556k views.

“I find it comforting that our 11th album, WEIRDO, has pretty much the same message as on our first album released in 1996,” says Lauri. “It is to defend and praise the ones who are different from the masses and proudly being themselves as they are. It has been our philosophy from the very beginning.”

Ylönen explains the power behind being a “weirdo.” “In this society I’ve always felt that I’ve had to prove myself for being the way I am or doing the things I do. I’ve always felt like an outsider not fitting the norm. I’ve been called a weirdo, misfit and a freak. That used to make me angry—but not anymore. It’s become my source of strength and confidence. I’ve realized the power of it. All the people I find exciting and inspiring are somehow strange. We, the Weirdos, unite and feed off people’s judging attitudes. The fact is they’re just afraid of us. THE RASMUS will bring their unforgettable stage show to audiences worldwide in 2025 on the “Weirdo Tour.” They recently concluded a month-long U.S. trek with The Funeral Portrait, and are now in the midst of their own North American headlining tour, which kicked off May 3 in Atlanta, GA. Tickets are on sale now for its European leg (9/12 – 12/6); see the full dates listed below.

“It’s been a while since we went on tour, so we’re really excited to be heading out all over the world in 2025,” exclaims Lauri Ylönen. “It’s shaping up to be a massive tour and there’s more dates to come. We can’t wait to hang out with our fans. It’s going to be fun to see them again, we’re like family.”

Meanwhile, The Rasmus will play a charity concert in Ukraine on July 19 as the headliner of the Atlas Festival, as the only foreign artist at the event. The band wants to do their part to help Ukraine. Over 60,000 people are expected to be in attendance, and there will be a comprehensive security system and evacuation plan for the audience and performers in just a few minutes if necessary. Last year, the festival raised over two million euros for charity. The artists can choose to direct their charitable funds to any Ukraine-related cause, such as supporting children’s hospitals, purchasing ambulances, or helping combat medical personnel.

“It’s scary to play in the middle of war, but we want to show our support for the Ukrainian people,” says Lauri Ylönen. We have a massive fan base in Ukraine and we’ve also previously done a joint song with the Ukrainian Eurovision winner Kalush Orchestra.”

The world can be cruel, but electronic metal group SOLENCE offers a simple cure. The charming quartet of high-energy Swedes is defined as much by their endless optimism as their boundless talent. They focus all its energy on uplifting anyone in a dark state of mind to a brighter place. “SOLENCE is all about having a good time,” Videsäter declares. “Our message to our existing fans and potential new ones is that we want to bring the fun back into rock n’ roll.”

“Storytelling is a lot of fun,” he continues. “I write about motivation and how to get myself up in the morning. So, yes, there’s still a lot of that. We bundle it up in a lot more energy and craziness. ANGELS CALLING is so cool. I love every single song. I’m so excited about how massive it feels.”

ANGELS CALLING is the follow-up to their EP BLUE MONDAY (Better Noise Music), released this past January with three new songs: “F**k The Bad Vibes,” “A Banger A Day Keeps The Doctor Away,” and “Who You Gonna Call? (Solence),” which Houston Chronicle highlighted in their “Top 50 Best Underground Music Videos of 2024” list. It also includes two remixed versions of their hit track, “Good F**king Music” by Swedish-based producer MVRE and L.A.-based producer kodeblooded (Asking Alexandria, Charlotte Sands). The band have built a dedicated global audience on past tours opening for bands including Five Finger Death Punch, Ice Nine Kills, Electric Callboy, We Came As Romans, and The HU, in addition to festival appearances across Europe (Rock For People Festival, Graspop Metal Meeting, Resurrection Fest, Tuska Festival, Nova Rock Festival) and the U.S. (Aftershock, Louder Than Life, Blue Ridge Rock Fest). A SOLENCE performance is a participatory sport, with audiences encouraged to sing and bounce along.

Lauded as one of Pandora’s “Rising Rock Artists To Watch In 2023,” SOLENCE have to date garnered over 358 million cumulative streams over 940k monthly Spotify listeners, and over 96 million video views since their formation in 2012. The band started by releasing heavy renditions of well-known pop hits from the likes of Imagine Dragons, Fall Out Boy, Ed Sheeran, Britney Spears, and Queen before breaking out with their 2019 debut album BROTHERS. It was quickly followed by their sophomore album, DIRECTION, which saw them achieve their first Active Rock radio charting with “Animal In Me” which became SiriusXM Octane’s most-played track in 2020. Octane’s Sr. Director, Music Programming Vincent Usuriello described SOLENCE’s sound as “a dynamic fusion of rock, metal, and pop elements, with powerful vocals, electrifying guitar riffs, and infectious melodies, creating an immersive sonic experience.” In 2021, SOLENCE released their third album, DEAFENING, which showed their range of inspirations from music to anime, gaming, sci-fi, and even philosophy and soon followed with their fourth album HOPE IS A CULT in 2023. Amidst writing new material for SOLENCE, Videsäter and Strääf have lent their songwriting skills to pop acts including Jason Derulo and Bebe Rexha.

In 2025, SOLENCE continues to spread its life-affirming message. “‘Until I hear the ‘Angels Calling’ reminds us that life is way too short to worry about doubt or making mistakes,” Markus Videsäter points out. “We never know when our time is up, so let’s make the most of it while we can!”
