YES
ANNOUNCE THE NEXT U.S. TOUR OF THEIR ONGOING CONCERT SERIES

Following last year’s sold-out U.S. tour, YES, who are Steve Howe (guitars, vocals), Geoff Downes (keyboards), Jon Davison (vocals, acoustic guitar), Billy Sherwood (bass guitar, vocals), and Jay Schellen (drums), have today (July 17) announced their “Classic Tales Of Yes” tour in the U.S. starting September 24 in Bethlehem, PA and ending November 4 in Riverside, CA. Look for the tour—which is the latest presentation of their ongoing concert series illuminating their classic music—to include many iconic tracks from the influential and pioneering Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees’ catalog covering 50-plus years as well as music from their acclaimed new album MIRROR TO THE SKY (released May 19 on InsideOutMusic/Sony Music).

See below for the full list of tour dates, which will go on sale July 21. Go to www.yesworld.com/live for ticketing information.

Looking forward to the “Classic Tales of Yes” tour, STEVE HOWE said: “We’re putting together a great setlist covering the length and breadth of Yes’ career.”

“As always, we are committed to pushing new boundaries and are very excited to be performing another chapter in the rich legacy of the band,” added GEOFF DOWNES.

The evening will begin with an on-site presentation by world-renowned English artist and designer Roger Dean, whose masterful artwork of striking other-worldly landscapes has graced classic album covers and posters, most prominently by YES and Asia. Every show will feature a Roger Dean gallery in the venue’s reception/foyer area. His work—which also appears on the cover of MIRROR TO THE SKY—has sold more than one hundred million copies worldwide.

MIRROR TO THE SKY features not one, but four tracks clocking in at over eight minutes, with the sweeping and cinematic title track coming in just shy of fourteen minutes. What’s more, the tracks, like Yes’ best, take the listener on a wide dynamically ranging journey of soundscapes which also showcase Steve Howe’s dazzling guitars, Jon Davison’s angelic, crystalline vocals, Billy Sherwood’s deftly dancing bass, keyboard wizard Geoff Downes’ impeccable sounds, exquisite melodies and fills, and Jay Schellen’s masterfully controlled explosions, on drums. Jay Schellen, who has been touring with the band since 2016 as an additional drummer, was hand-picked to step into his mentor and friend Alan White role when White sadly passed away in 2022.

These are the videos released from MIRROR TO THE SKY:

“Cut From The Stars” HERE
“All Connected” HERE
“Circles of Time” HERE

Ultimate Classic Rock raved that “Mirror in the Sky breezes from one musical highlight to the next so deftly that you’re wanting more.” (May 17). Glide Magazine observed thatMirror to the Sky” succeeds at proving the idea that Yes music will carry on long after the original members pass in a very special way. As the producer of this twenty-third studio album, [Steve] Howe has stepped in and helped create a soundscape in the vein of their classic material.” (May 18). Guitar World noted that “There’s a lot of classic prog keyboard and guitar interplay across “Cut From The Stars,’ but there’s lovely stuff from about 4.30 where Steve Howe and Geoff Downes exchange melodic pot shots.” (3/16).

ABBY POSNER showcases her jack-of-all-trades skillset as a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer and composer with her newly released single, “Quiet On Sunset,” taken from her upcoming sophomore solo album SECOND CHANCES due August 11 via Blackbird Record Label. Available now across all digital platforms HERE, the music video for “Quiet on Sunset”—filmed on Sunset Blvd in Los Angeles, CA–was exclusively premiered via Guitar Girl Magazine last Wednesday and is currently featured on CMT as one of their weekly highlighted music videos. Read more about the making of “Quiet On Sunset” in a Q&A with ABBY below. Stream the video for “Quiet On Sunset” below or via YouTube HERE.

“I wanted to create an electronic/folk song with lots of dark synths and basses blasting at the end,” says ABBY. “The organic elements I tracked with was the banjo and the marching drum…I love playing with texture when I produce, and I think there is something interesting in there about the two drastically different genres blending together–the duality of wants and needs within a relationship clashing.”

SECOND CHANCES marks ABBY’s debut release on Blackbird Record Label. ABBY produced, mixed, wrote and performed guitar, bass, drum, keys, banjo, mandolin, percussion and vocals for all 12 tracks at Sonic Boom Room Studios in Venice, CA with engineer Kevin Jarvis. Inspired by a life-changing breakup and the introspective soul-searching that followed, SECOND CHANCES embraces her genre-fluid blend of Americana, folk, indie pop and punk rock. The album’s debut track, “Simple Life,” (released June 7) was premiered via Glide Magazine who noted, “Channeling the majestic folk of 70s’ singer-songwriters with a modern Americana edge…Abby Posner certainly has a way with words, images, and echoing a sepia-toned light with her tunes that evoke the forthright sounds of Aimee Mann, Lydia Loveless and Lucinda Williams.”

ABBY, who identifies as queer (they/she), recently hosted Los Angeles’ Hotel Café’s first-ever Pride Festival event in June and will celebrate the release of SECOND CHANCES on Saturday, August 19 with a special headlining show in Santa Monica, CA at McCabe’s. Tickets are on sale now HERE. ABBY is also excited to announce she will be performing as an official showcase artist at AMERICANAFEST 2023 in Nashville, TN on September 21 at 7:00 PM at The Vinyl Lab. She will appear the following night, September 22, at The California Country Show AMERICANAFEST Specia Event at ACME Feed & Seed which takes place from noon – 7:00 PM.

Abby Posner “Quiet On Sunset” Q&A

–“Quiet On Sunset” is about romantic abandonment and the challenge of moving on when one is unwanted. Can you give us some background about the song? It is based on something you’ve gone through?

“Quiet on Sunset” was written after I went to my friend’s birthday party in a neighborhood that my ex-partner lived in. A neighborhood where we created a lot of memories together. I stepped outside and Sunset Blvd was so quiet for a moment. It felt like the world stopped, and I wanted to go by and see her, but I knew that our relationship wasn’t in a place where I could just show up at her door, so I went home to write this song instead.”

–It’s interesting that “Quiet On Sunset” is a gently strummed and softly sung lover’s plea, and that the final third of the song musically takes an upbeat turn, perhaps suggesting that you’re getting closer to the idea of moving past a fractured relationship—you’re also seen confidently smiling at this point in the video. As the album’s producer, can you talk about your production choices to accentuate the song’s sentiments?

“I think most importantly, I wanted the song-form to feel a little bit herky jerky on purpose, because that was an aspect of the relationship. There were a lot of push/pulls and ups and downs. I wanted to mirror that in the song structure. It is one of the only songs I have ever written where the chorus occurs once throughout the entire piece. The ending is the explosion. It was me letting out my frustration and anger that we could never get back to where we were. I wanted to create an electronic/folk song with lots of dark synths and basses blasting at the end. The organic elements I tracked with was the banjo and the marching drum…I love playing with texture when I produce, and I think there is something interesting in there about the two drastically different genres blending together–the duality of wants and needs within a relationship clashing.”

The “Quiet On Sunset” video shows you walking down one of the most famous streets in America, playing the song’s various instruments (acoustic guitar, bass guitar, banjo, snare drum, rhythm machine) which highlights your multi-instrumentalist skills. Can you talk the video’s concept and the stretch of Sunset Blvd where it was shot?

“I originally wanted to shoot this video in the exact neighborhood, but I didn’t want to take the risk of running into her–haha! So we changed location at the last minute and shot about 7 miles away in Los Feliz…still on Sunset Blvd, just not at the scene of the crime.”

–During the shooting of the video on the streets, did any unexpected things happen?

“If you watch at the very end of the video there are two women that run out of a store…I think it was on purpose, so they could be on camera. The funny thing was that they seemed really embarrassed after making that decision. it is hard to miss that shot, and it is actually one of my favorite moments of the music video.”

–The Second Chances bio says the album was “inspired by a life-changing breakup and the introspective soul-searching that followed.” What advice might you have for others who find themselves in a painful, angry place when a romance deteriorates?

“My advice is to feel all of the feelings. Do not avoid or push them away! Feel them deeply, feel the anger, feel the grief and sadness…you will be able to move on in a much healthier way. Repressing and rebounding too quickly never ends well. I am so grateful that I have my music to help me sort through all of the emotions. Everything becomes much clearer after I write a song, and I hope that others can use art and creativity in the same way.”

Indonesian rock trio VOICE OF BACEPROT (VOB) embarked on a career in music despite many challenges being from a small village, Singajaya, three and a half hours away from the nearest venue in the city of Garut, West Java; having to build their own modest practice studio due to lack of music facilities; and face the stigmas and unsolicited suggestions regarding religion and decency directed at them due to being Muslim females who playing heavy rock/metal music and wearing of the hijab on stage. Instead of letting any of this discourage them, VOB’s have used these setbacks to develop a strong character which they’ve portrayed throughout their debut full-length album RETAS out today across all digital platforms via 12WIRED. Stream/download RETAS now at: https://li.sten.to/vob-retas.

In Bahasa Indonesia, “retas” translates to “a body of of igneous rocks that breaks through by cutting through other rocks.” It epitomizes how the band see themselves and is collection of songs that embody their solid determination to break free and carve out their path as a band, as musicians, and as independent women.

“We have become rocks now,” shares vocalist/guitarist Marsya. “Hardened, rigid, and stiff due to all the doctrines in our minds. But through music and our friendship, we became fully aware that they must be cut through and broken regardless.”

With NTRL guitarist Coki Bollemeyer at the helm as producer for the newer songs on the album, RETAS comprises nine tracks, including album focus track “Age Oriented,” fan-favorite “What’s the Holy (Nobel) Today?” “The Enemy of Earth is You,” instrumental track “Kawani,” and four previous singles that they have released since 2018, including their breakthrough single “School Revolution” and the smash hit “God, Allow Me (Please) to Play Music”. See below for a full track-by-track breakdown.

“We really enjoyed making this album, thanks in no small part to Coki,” acknowledges Marsya. “His support and appreciation towards the hard work we put into the process have made a huge difference. It gave us the energy and confidence to give our very best.

“You must remember that we come from a village where many see women as inferior to men,” she explains. “After completing high school, we did not have a lot of options. It was either work at home or for a relative at a convenience store. Or marry someone our parents choose. More often than not, we were told it was ‘inappropriate and too soon’ and we ‘did not have enough experience’. There is a partiality towards age being the main benchmark to determine the merit of one’s artistic work. It meant the young must wait until they reach a certain age deemed worthy of independence to show their true potential.”

“We believe that an album is a quintessential representation of an artist’s creative journey, a portfolio of their creative output,” shares bassist Widi. “If the singles we released felt like separate pieces of our collective unravelling anxiety, then Retas is the glue that melds them all together as a whole, like a knot of threads that loops their way around until they become a complete work of art. It is like a gallery where artworks are displayed in all their glory.”

RETAS‘tracks were split up between co-producer Stephan Santoso, Yuka Dian Narendra and Coki Bollemeyer along with vocal direction from Irvan Natadiningrat on select songs. Mixing was completed by Stephen Santoso and Tue Madsen while being mastered by Grammy Award-winner Howie Weinberg (Garbage, Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana). The album features stunning Sufism-inspired cover artwork illustrated by the prodigious Indonesian artist Dede Cipon.

VOBMarsya (vocals & guitar), Widi (bass) and Sitti (drums)—will embark on their first-ever U.S. tour this August starting with a headlining show on August 3 in Los Angeles, CA at El Cid along with a featured set at Head In The Clouds Festival in Pasadena at at Brookside At The Rose Bowl. The trio will make their way to the East Coast and back wrapping up their final stop on August 19 in San Diego, CA at The Stage Room UCSD. HYRO THE HERO showcases his visceral blend of intense heavy rock and rap vocals with his new single, a fist-pumping cover of Busta Rhymes’ platinum 1996 single “Woo Hah!! Got You All In Check,” out today (July 13) across digital platforms. Taken from his upcoming studio album BOUND FOR GLORY due September 15 via BETTER NOISE MUSIC, the cover track is accompanied by a lyric video (seen below) which features live-action performance footage of HYRO. Watch it below or directly on YouTube HERE. Stream/download “Woo Hah!! Got You All In Check” at https://hyrothehero.ffm.to/woohah.

“‘Woo Hah’ is my shout out to the old school classic hip-hop that made me,” divulges HYRO. “It’s a Hyro the Hero-style spin on a track that taught me how to recognize the importance of standing out as an artist compared to everyone else. Busta Rhymes was spitting fire on this track, so you know I had to come correct.”

Born and raised in Houston, TX, HYRO has timed the release of “Woo Hah!! Got You All In Check” to align with today marking 713 Day, an unofficial holiday which celebrates all things Houston that’s named after the city’s oldest area code. HYRO has curated a special Spotify playlist, “Hyro The Hero: H-Town Playlist,” of songs inspired by or from his hometown including artists ranging from 80’s rockers King’s X to rapper Mike Jones along with some of his own tracks including the recently released BOUND FOR GLORY single “Sho Nuff.” Listen to the Hyro The Hero: H-Town Playlist on Spotify now HERE.

HYRO, who is currently living in France, teamed up with Houston Chronicle to share his fondest memories of previous 713 Day festivities and a list of his “Top 10 Must Visit” places in Houston including the best restaurants, parks, clubs and more. Head over to Houston Chronicle’s Entertainment page to see all of his recommendations and read about how growing up in H-Town impacted his music career.

BOUND FOR GLORY features 12-tracks encompassing HYRO’s long journey to achieving success in music and the ups and downs it has put him through. “Sometimes you may have to go through fires, climb mountains, go face-to-face with enemies and maybe even leap tall buildings in a single bound,” says HYRO. “Somehow you keep going no matter what difficulties may arise because a fire inside is the energy that drives you and there’s a voice inside reminding you that you’re ‘Bound For Glory.’ My album is that voice and that fire is the music on this record.” BOUND FOR GLORY was recorded and produced by Matt Good (Asking Alexandria, Hollywood Undead) and includes guest appearances from David Draiman (Disturbed), Brandon Saller (Atreyu), Spencer Charnas and Dan Sugarman (Ice Nine Kills), Chad Gray (Hellyeah), AJ Channer (Fire From The Gods), REDDSTAR and Markus Videsäter (Solence). “Las Vegas Mixtape” Column: “A Vegas Tight Ten”

“Las Vegas Mixtape” Column
“A Vegas Tight Ten”

Might Las Vegas be to the 2020’s what Paris was to the 1920’s? Consider Vegas’ array of top-chef restaurants, the various Cirque du Soleil and Spiegelworld productions, the abundant music superstar artist residencies, and the growing number of outdoor music festivals.

Don’t leave out the EDM clubs with the major DJ’s, the immersive art experiences, the innovative modern hotel design, and the “Atomic City” vintage cool architecture. Plus, there’s all the marquee name comedians who appear here. Vegas simply can’t be beaten as a world-class electrifying city. And speaking of comics (see Kathy Griffin below), here’s my “tight ten.”

Sadelle’s at Bellagio

The secret to achieving world peace may well be found in a bite of “Strawberry Tall Cake.” If all the world leaders were fed a piece of this soft and creamy creation—on the menu at Sadelle’s at Bellagio—there might not be any more wars.

The opulent NYC-originated eatery (which opened in 2019) is also known for its divinely presented three-level “Sadelle’s Tower,” with Scottish salmon, bagel (baked in house), tomato, cucumber, and capers. There are also the dreamy views overlooking the pool and Bellagio’s dazzling Conservatory & Botanical Gardens. Add in the mood-elevating experience of being served by a gracious staff wearing old-school salmon-colored tuxedo jackets and green ties, and you won’t ever need therapy again.

Strawberry Tall Cake at Sadelle’s

Kathy Griffin, Mirage Theatre

It was absolutely breathtaking to see Kathy Griffin at the sold-out Mirage Theatre in her first show in five years.  Griffin was greeted with a thunderous and lengthy standing ovation before her act began, and later she name-checked her famous friends—Stormy Daniels and Sia—who were seated in the first few rows.

In a 90-minute-plus seamless set, Griffin was as bold, defiant, and hysterical as ever. Her performance was both a compelling personal and comedic triumph. She walked us through—and found the humor in—her five years of hell, marked by lung cancer (which she acknowledged has somewhat weakened her speaking voice), pain med addiction (she’ll be three-years sober on June 25), PTSD, a three-day stay in a psych ward (where she learned there was no concierge to assist her), and the death of her mom.

Plus of course Griffin fended off lawsuits and death threats from the MAGA and QAnon followers for posing in 2017 with a mock-severed head of Trump. “That’s me, the face of Isis,” she cracked, rolling her eyes, and adding, “I would never cave to these suckers.” Griffin is truly one of comedy’s greats. Seeing her perform was like watching a masterful trapeze artist defy gravity. Long may she fly. She returns to The Mirage on October 6.

Firefly Tapas at Hughes Center

When you don’t know exactly what you want to eat, tapas are a good way to go, and it helps that Firefly Tapas is open every day from 9:00am to 11:00pm. The long-running (20 years) and moderately priced Spanish eatery is in a new, bigger location on Hughes Center Drive (off-Strip) with multiple rooms, an outdoor patio, and imaginative, colorful décor.

On the night we dined there after 9:30pm (when restaurant choices are limited), it was delightful to move from the scene-stealing Patatas Bravas—“roasted red potatoes, aioli and spicy tomato jam”—to the smoked salmon toast, beet salad, and fish sticks. With its outstanding varied menu, Firefly is still a thrill.

Patatas Bravas at Firefly Tapas

The Beverly Theater, Downtown

It’s hard not to be impressed by Vegas’ newly built crown jewel, The Beverly Theater. It’s both an art house cinema where every seat is truly a great one, thanks to its smart design, and it doubles as a musical performance space. The downtown venue has elegant modern mid-century design and an upstairs outdoor terrace (called Segue) where a jazz ensemble plays for free on weekend nights.

I made two visits to The Beverly during its brilliantly curated multi-day program of music documentaries. I saw “Little Richard: I Am Everything,” which paints an intense portrait of the complex King of Rock and Roll via “interviews with family, musicians, and cutting-edge Black and queer scholars” (per the synopsis). It slayed, as the kids say, as did the revelatory “What the Hell Happened to Blood, Sweat & Tears?” It’s about how the superstar band fell from grace after they were essentially blackmailed by the US government to tour behind the Iron Curtain; by accepting this “deal,” the band’s Canadian lead singer, David Clayton-Thomas, avoided having his green card revoked. Upon their return to the US, the all-important counterculture media—without knowing at the time why the band did this tour—trashed the band for being a tool of Nixon, which led to the dissolution of the group’s most successful lineup.

Outside of The Beverly Theater

Pepper Club at The English Hotel, Arts District

If I was on death row, the following four dishes would comprise my last meal request, courtesy of The Pepper Club inside Todd English’s boutique English Hotel. Start me with their Cucumber Salad with ume vinaigrette, and plum sea salt. Bring on the Crispy Rice, consisting of coconut rice, spicy tuna, avocado, micro greens, and 23kt edible gold flakes. Seduce me further with the Orange Miso Salmon, plated with bok choy, mushrooms, serrano rings, fried garlic, and orange miso glaze. Then please take me right up to heaven with the Yukon mash and crushed wasabi peas dish that’s known as Wasabi Creamy Mash.

The flavors and textures from this meal, which we enjoyed on their sprawling outdoor patio, are still dancing in my head, so I’m giving a major thumbs-up to the restaurant’s wondrously conceived and skillfully executed “Asian Ocean Fusion” menu.

Wasabi Creamy Mash at The Pepper Club at The English Hotel

“OPM” at The Cosmopolitan

You’ve got to hand it to the Spiegelworld folks. With their three hit Vegas shows—”Absinthe,” “Atomic Saloon,” and “OPM” (formerly known as “Opium”)—they’ve perfected an absolutely winning, hyper-paced, and seamlessly choreographed mix of the imaginative and the naughty. And they throw the best parties in town. At The Cosmopolitan, home to both “OPM” and Spiegelworld’s “Italian American Psychedelic” restaurant Superfrico, Spiegelworld honored the so-called “Star Wars Day” (May 4) with a “modified take on the show’s romp through space” (their words). This was followed by an open-bar bash with Superfrico’s terrific “Ultimate Pepperoni Square” pizza (love that “pickled chili”). Some came attired in “Star Wars” costumes; others simply dressed to the nines.

The show itself was mesmerizing, teeming with jugglers, body contortionists, acrobatic dancers, and sexy arial acts, with a dose of magic and wickedly funny sexual humor. Bonus point: hearing “Heads Will Roll” by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs smartly integrated into the show’s musical mix.

Moia Peruvian Restaurant, near Downtown

Everyone needs a Comfort Food Night, and for mine, I chose the new Moia Peruvian Restaurant over on Bonanza Rd. I went for the excellent steak with the pasta and pesto sauce—and I didn’t look back. My guests also happily threw caution to the wind by choosing the Pollo Saltado entrée that came with both rice and French fries. You can do the same and (why not?) add in a side of their soul-satisfying beans.

Next time, I plan on surrendering to the Duo de Arroz con Mariscos y Cerciche, a seafood combination with sweet potatoes and Peruvian corn. Remember, this is your night to indulge, and Moia is the place to do it.

Iggy Pop at the Palms’ Pearl Theater

“I’m worth a million in prizes,” sang Iggy Pop at the Pearl Theater. Damn right. The man whose “Lust For Life” is stadium size delivered a thrillingly ferocious show from start to finish. Even though the Godfather of Punk is somewhat hindered by a twisted spine, the 76-year-old performer remains a “streetwalking cheetah with a heart full of napalm,” to quote his poetic lyrics from the lethal chestnut “Search and Destroy.”

The gig was packed with other highlights including “T.V Eye,” “Nightclubbing,” “I Wanna Be Your Dog,” and a surprise cover of Lou Reed’s “Walk On The Wild Side.” At one point, Iggy asked the sold-out throng—“If I was hitchhiking, would you pick me up?”—before launching into “The Passenger.” Hell yes, Iggy—please get in the car and show us the “city’s ripped backsides.”

Upcoming shows at The Pearl include Keith Sweat August 4 and 5.

Dam Roast House & Browder Bookstore, Boulder City

For a perfect Sunday afternoon in Vegas, try leaving it—for historic Boulder City, a gambling-free small town located around 25 or so miles southeast of Vegas. We stopped into antique stores like Goat Feathers Emporium and the charming Dam Roast House & Browder Bookstore which serves exceptional coffee. The iced Spumoni Latte—a blend of pistachio, cherries, and chocolate—and the vanilla-and-lavender-flavored Day Dreamer Latte lifted us immediately. Their vegan banana bread and blueberry scone also hit the right pick-me-up notes on a lazy afternoon.

Next, we drove through the mountains overlooking Lake Mead and crossed into Arizona. I want to return to Boulder City to not only eat tapas at Casa Don Quixote, but to pick up a copy of the book “Cartel Wives,” which I neglected to buy at the bookstore.

Dom DeMarco’s Pizzeria & Bar in Summerlin

In a city where are at least hundreds of happy hour deals, it doesn’t take a scientist to figure out why the one at Dom DeMarco’s Pizzeria & Bar is consistently packed weekdays between 2:00pm-6:00pm. Their pizza is transcendent—they “proudly serve the same pizza made famous at a quaint little place in Brooklyn, DiFara Pizza”—and the price is more than right.

At a recent happy hour, I ordered the 12-inch “DiFara Special,” with DiFara sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, grana Padano, and basil. It’s ordinarily $14, and it was half off—costing only $7. That, my friends, is cheaper than most fast food. Plus the eatery boasts a “$9 menu and 50% off all beer, well drinks, and wine by the glass” for happy hour.

Dom DeMarco’s also has one of the best outdoor patios in the city, recently upgraded with a new pergola that has ceiling fans and a portable air conditioner, so you won’t melt like cheese this summer.

Ozzy Osbourne Statement On Power Trip

DATE: JULY 10, 2023

FROM: MARCEE RONDAN/MITCH SCHNEIDER

OZZY OSBOURNE STATEMENT

As painful as this is, I’ve had to make the decision to bow out of performing on Power Trip in October.

My original plan was to return to the stage in the summer of 2024, and when the offer to do this show came in, I optimistically moved forward.

Unfortunately, my body is telling me that I’m just not ready yet and I am much too proud to have the first show that I do in nearly five years be half-assed.

The band that will be replacing me on Power Trip will be announced shortly. They are personal friends of mine and I can promise that you will not be disappointed.

Above all, I want to thank my fans, my band, and my crew for their unconditional loyalty and continual support.

I love you all and I will see you soon.

God Bless,

Ozzy

British rock luminaries ASKING ALEXANDRIA have spent the past 15 years paving their way to the top league of international rock acts, garnering two #1 albums, four RIAA Gold-certified singles and a #1 Active Rock radio-charting single amongst several Top 10 landing hits. Their explosive energy has captivated fans across the globe where the band has appeared on several of the largest rock and metal festivals and on sold-out headlining arena and club shows, earning more than 8 million followers across their social media platforms. ASKING ALEXANDRIA continue to raise the bar on their anticipated eighth full-length studio album WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE? due August 25 via BETTER NOISE MUSIC.

The 11-track album was produced and mixed by Matt Good (Hollywood Undead, From First To Last), and mastered by Howie Weinberg (Deftones, Metallica) and Will Borza. The album is a culmination of the band’s career, melding their flagship sound with experimental electronics while its lyrics cover the band’s trademark themes of disenchantment, loss, anxiety, and dejection. Pre-order WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE? now on CD, cassette, vinyl and digital download at https://askingalexandria.ffm.to/wdwgfh.

“‘Where Do We Go From Here?’ Is the culmination of our entire journey as a band,” shares lead guitarist Ben Bruce. “We worked really hard to incorporate every aspect of what our fans love about Asking Alexandria. We have taken elements from every single record we have ever written and pieced them all together to create one album. Our fans will find elements from ‘Stand Up and Scream,’ such as the synth-tinged breakdown on ‘Things Could Be Different,’ all the way through to ‘See What’s On The Inside’ on this album. Lyrically, the album explores themes of loss and struggle through to hope and finding your own inner strength. We are incredibly proud of this album, and we can’t wait for everyone to hear it.”
