ABOUT DAVE DAMIANI

Dave Damiani is an American singer, songwriter, producer based out of Los Angeles, CA. Having started as a bartender at the famed CHARLIE O’S JAZZ CLUB in Valley Village, CA, Dave Damiani had the opportunity to work, learn and become friends with some of the best musicians on the planet. Legends like Earl Palmer, Marty Harris, Ross Tompkins, Sam Most, Teddy Edwards, John Heard, Roy McCurdy, Frank Capp, Ernie McDaniel, Dini Clarke, Danny Grissett, George Gaffney, Mark Murphy, and Richie Cole (just to name a few) took time to mentor Dave Damiani, share stories and chord changes.

Shortly after receiving his master’s degree in Commercial Music from the California State University in Los Angeles, Dave began his pursuit to put together the perfect band with youth and style. His debut album “Watch What Happens” has been receiving worldwide airplay. Brad “Martini” Chambers was the first to discover Dave Damiani’s originality. Brad has been playing him constantly on www.martiniinthemorning.com since 2013. Additionally, receiving airplay on over 300 radio stations and on Satellite Radio XM 71 (Siriusly Sinatra). In January Dave Damiani hosted his own hour on Sirius XM Siriuisly Sinatra #71, while hosting his good friend and New Jersey brother Joe Piscopo swung the studio say, “hi”!

Dave Damiani & The No Vacancy Orchestra have produced shows with Frank Sinatra Enterprises, The Grove, Citi, Capital One, American Airlines, Jack Daniels, George Benson, Molly Ringwald, Bobby Ridel, Landau Murphy Jr., Hailey Reinhart, Renee Olstead, Steve Tyrel, Larry King.

Damiani has produced four albums for himself and most recently Bending the Standard, The Anthology.

ABOUT KEN PEPLOWSKI

Ken Peplowski is a Buffet-Crampon artist, and plays the R-13 clarinet, with a Portnoy mouthpiece and Van Doren German-cut reeds. He also plays a Conn tenor sax and a Berg Larsen mouthpiece. Playing since elementary school, Ken Peplowski joined the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra under the direction of Buddy Morrow, and has certainly “checked all the boxes” be it in small clubs, the Hollywood Bowl (where he played a sold-out concert), headlining in Las Vegas, the Newport Jazz Festival, pops concerts, European festivals and clubs, or at home in NYC, doing everything from playing on the soundtracks to Woody Allen movies, guest soloing on records (his more interesting recent ones were Marianne Faithfull and Cuban vocalist Isaac Delgado) to taking on the role of music director for interactive French and Italian cookbooks (“Menus And Music”).

The litany of musicians Ken has collaborated with includes Mel Torme, Leon Redbone, Charlie Byrd, Peggy Lee, George Shearing, Madonna, Hank Jones, Dave Frishberg, Rosemary Clooney, Tom Harrell, James Moody, Cedar Walton, Houston Person, Steve Allen, Bill Charlap, Woody Allen, Marianne Faithfull, Isaac Delgado, and Erich Kunzel.

Ken’s new CD is called “Sunrise” and it is a big band record of new arrangements written exclusively for him, plus some reworking of classic arrangements. His upcoming CD is a duo record with Brazilian guitarist Diego Figuereido entitled “Amizade.”

He is currently the artistic director of the Sarasota Jazz Festival, the Newport Beach Jazz Party, and the Oregon Coast Jazz Party in Newport, Oregon.  Ken Peplowski has also been bestowed this year’s “Creative Arts Prize in Recognition of Outstanding Contribution in The Field of The Creative Arts” by the Polish American Historical Association.

ABOUT TIERNEY SUTTON

Nine-time Grammy-nominated jazz vocalist Tierney Sutton has received a “Best Jazz Vocal Album” Grammy nod for every project she has released in the last decade. Known for her impeccable voice and imaginative treatments of The Great American Songbook, Sutton is heralded for her abilities as both a jazz storyteller and her ability to use her voice as an instrument. Her 14 recordings as leader have addressed themes such as materialism (“Desire” 2009), the pursuit of happiness (“On The Other Side” 2007), as well as paying tribute to the music of Bill Evans (“Blue In Green” 2002), Frank Sinatra (“Dancing In The Dark” 2004), and pop icon Sting (“The Sting Variations” 2016). Her 2013 Joni Mitchell tribute, “After Blue” featured keyboardist Larry Goldings, drummer Peter Erskine, jazz vocal legend Al Jarreau, and NEA Jazz Master flautist Hubert Laws.

In May 2016, legendary Director Clint Eastwood approached Tierney. The original score to his box-office smash, “Sully,” was created by Tierney Sutton Band pianist, Christian Jacob, The Tierney Sutton Band and Clint Eastwood. The end-title song “Flying Home” features music by Eastwood and lyrics by Tierney Sutton and JB Eckl. It is performed by Tierney Sutton and The Tierney Sutton Band.

When she is not performing, Tierney is in demand as both a studio vocal producer and vocal educator. In 2016 she worked with famed lyric soprano Natalie Dessay for Sony Classics’ “Pictures of America” and the soon to be released “Between Yesterday and Tomorrow”.

Tierney taught for over a decade at USC’s Thornton School of Music and spent 6 years as the Vocal Department Head at The Los Angeles College of Music in Pasadena, CA. She has also taught and mentored some of the finest new generation of singers including Gretchen Parlato and Sara Gazarek.

ABOUT TAMIR HENDELMAN

An Israeli American jazz pianist, Hendelman has performed with the Jeff Hamilton Trio, the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra, Harry Allen, Teddy Edwards, Warren Vaché, Houston Person, Jeff Clayton, Nick Brignola, Phil Upchurch, Rickey Woodard, John Clayton and Barbara Morrison. He also leads his own trio, and his debut CD Playground features him in this trio setting. His album Destinations features Lewis Nash and Marco Panascia. The album reached number one on the JazzWeek Jazz Charts in September 2010.

Born in Tel Aviv, Israel, Tamir Hendelman began his keyboard studies at age 6. In 1984, he moved to the United States and won Yamaha’s National Keyboard competition two years later at age 14. Concerts in Japan and the Kennedy Center followed.

He then studied at the Tanglewood Institute in 1988 and received a Bachelor of Music Composition degree from Eastman School of Music in 1993. He became the youngest musical director for Lovewell Institute for the Creative Arts, a national arts education non-profit organization.

Since returning to Los Angeles in 1996, he has been in steady demand as pianist and arranger, touring the US, Europe, and Asia. He has also received awards from ASCAP and the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts. In 1999, Tamir was a guest soloist with the Henry Mancini Institute Orchestra.

Hendelman is the pianist/arranger on Jackie Ryan’s “You and the Night and the Music” and Janis Mann’s “A Perfect Time”. He is also featured on Natalie Cole’s “Still Unforgettable” (WEA, 2008) and Barbra Streisand’s Love Is the Answer (Columbia, 2009). In 2002 he also toured Europe with Tierney Sutton and the Bill Holman Big Band. Hendelman musically directed Julia Migenes’s “Alter Ego” and played/arranged Roberta Gambarini’s “Easy to Love” (Now Forward, 2006). In 2009, he accompanied Streisand at her engagement to the Village Vanguard in New York. He is also the bandleader of another trio in Los Angeles. The drummer Dean Koba has been part of it for years; on bass it is Dan Lutz or Carlito del Puerto.

ABOUT PATTY ASCHER

In the wake of her celebrated performances at the Blue Note NYC, Brazilian singer Patty Ascher is now poised as the `Brazilian Jazz Newest Sensation`. Whether singing in English or her native Portuguese, Patty Ascher brings an alluring quality to bear on every evocative tune. From achingly beautiful interpretations of songs by the likes of Michel Legrand and Burt Bacharach (the latter whom she paid tribute to on the acclaimed album Bacharach Bossa Club) to heartfelt renditions of her own affecting bossa nova and R&B flavored originals, Patty delivers with the kind of classy sophistication that belies to the great jazz singers.

Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Patty Ascher grew up in a musical household. Her father Neno was part of a successful Brazilian band from the 70s called Os Incríveis (The Incredibles). “My father was a musician, his brother is a very popular arranger and maestro in Brazil and all my cousins play an instrument,” she says. As a singer, she cites Brazilian divas Leny Andrade and Gal Costa along with American jazz divas Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald, and Dinah Washington as important influences.

In 2007, after earning a master’s degree she encountered bossa nova pioneer Roberto Menescal, who invited Patty Ascher to record her first CD, singing Burt Bacharach songs in bossa nova style. “Meeting him was a sign to me,” she says. “It was a chance to go on seriously with a career, collaborating with a great producer and mentor. We released our project one year after our first meeting and it was a dream project. It was an incredible opportunity to sing samba and jazz together. They have a lot in common. Both were born in the ‘new continent’ at the same time from the same mother Africa.”

On her latest recording, Bossa, Jazz ‘n’ Samba, Patty Ascher’s gorgeous voice is surrounded by lush orchestrations from such respected veteran MPB (Musica Popular Brasileira) artists and composer-arrangers as Dori Caymmi, Gilson Peranzetta, Amilson Godoy and Cristovao Bastos. This spirited cross-cultural project –recorded at the famous Gravodisc studios in Sao Paolo, Brazil –should put Patty Ascher over the top and she was nominated for a GRAMMY.

Americana/folk singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist JEREMY SQUIRES will release his fourth album via Blackbird Record Label and 12th overall album, RIDDLE OF STARS, on November 17. The album was written following the loss of his longtime musical collaborator, drummer and friend, Carlos Ventura and includes nine heart-stirring songs, including one that was originally written as a poem as a goodbye for his friend’s funeral (“Blood Pact”). RIDDLE OF STARS was solely written, performed, and produced entirely by SQUIRES, who utilized carefully crafted minimalism, primarily by way of guitar finger-picking, piano, and the occasional pedal steel guitar or organ to create its haunting dreamscapes along with SQUIRES self-directing and filming a series of visually narrative videos to accompany its singles. Digital pre-saves for RIDDLE OF STARS are available HERE.

SQUIRES has today, November 7, shared the abstract video for RIDDLE OF STARS’ second single, “Vampires.” Watch it streaming below or via YouTube HERE. “This is right up the alley of any fan of stripped down, slow and vulnerable music,” proclaims Americana Highways. They continue their praise, highlighting the song’s lyrics: “‘Oh these vampires tearing at the seams, taking every drop of everything they want from me. Goodnight angel.’  Don’t underestimate the power of the meaning here, it’s dark and intense.  Gorgeous outdoor scenes of snowy cold and winterscapes hold your imagination exactly where the song takes you.”

SQUIRES reveals his personal connection to the song’s inspiration sharing,”‘Vampires’ is about my struggles with letting go, getting so deep in your own head that you feel like you can’t escape from a continuous loop and coming to the realization that nothing is permanent. Everything comes full circle in the end.”

“I shot this video in various locations over the span of 3 years,” SQUIRES adds. “I got to meet new people in somewhat awkward circumstances, but it was a very beautiful experience filled with so many emotions. I carefully chose the imagery and edited the colors to match the cold as well as the vibrancy that I see and feel that this song is about.”

RIDDLE OF STARS track listing:
1. Valley
2. Blood Pact
3. Play Dead
4. Omens
5. Vampires
6. Carousels
7. Please Stay
8. Heart Swell
9. Graveyard

SQUIRES consistently holds space for his artistic expression in more than one medium, living and breathing within cycles of poetry, photography and music. As many artists ultimately leave their hometowns to explore larger cities like Los Angeles and New York, SQUIRES’ life in the Inner Banks of North Carolina from childhood has steadfastly served the inspiration for his music.. Raised by his grandmother in New Bern, NC, and the son of a published poet, his mother, and a father that gifted him a flea market guitar when he was a child, SQUIRES began teaching himself to play by way of writing songs and learning Bad Religion and Nirvana songs, eventually leading him into forming punk bands.

Jeremy and Carlos met at age 12 and 13, the beginning of nearly three decades of brotherhood and artistic collaboration. “We were musical soulmates,” says SQUIRES. Neither one of them formally trained, the two experimented with bands before officially becoming a professionally touring band, Andrea’s Truth, playing shows at venues and skate parks up and down the east coast. In a surprising turn of events, after recording their debut album, the studio burned down with their files. However, fans initiated a network of passing around bootleg VHS tapes from their live shows which in turn secured their mark and influence on a thriving indie punk music scene in their region.

Becoming a father at only age 21, SQUIRES took a job at a faucet factory and paused from touring for several years until he returned in 2005 to his career in music, photography, and restoring vintage guitars. This is when he began learning to record on his own, playing all instruments with Carlos adding drums on multiple songs throughout his catalogue, unfortunately passing suddenly before being able to track drums for RIDDLE OF STARS.

Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter HEATHER ANNE LOMAX released her debut album via Blackbird Record Label, THE DOMAN TRACKS, on November 3 which consists of eight collaborative songs recorded with the late Michael Doman, formerly the singer-songwriter-producer of the noted ‘80s L.A. rock band Broken Homes. The pair cut the intimate material during two years of recording sessions, and they were set aside until HEATHER revisited them following DOMAN’s untimely death from a brain ailment in December of 2020. With LOMAX on lead vocals and guitar, Doman sang duet and added background vocals and the pair enlisted guitarist JEFF SEBENS in addition to support from various other local players to record the tracks live. The album’s engineer JASON HILLER added bass parts later. Stream/download THE DOMAN TRACKS digitally HERE or grab a copy on CD HERE.

HEATHER has shared the music video for the single “Bits And Pieces” (originally written by Eric Nelson) featuring duet vocals with DOMAN. The track is featured twice on the album, with the second version—the closing track—being a solo vocal performance from HEATHER with cello accompaniment by Michelle Packman as a touching tribute to DOMAN. “In an age of disposable auto-tuned hits, Lomax brings an authenticity and musical integrity to the party and with this track she delivers an almost understated vocal performance that spotlights some of the qualities that made her a star in the Americana scene,” lauds antiMusic. “Lyrically, the song is a bittersweet duet of loss that captures the dynamics of Buckingham Nicks and at the same time recalls the golden age of the Topanga Canyon music scene which is only reinforced by the video that gives fans a fly on the wall look at the live sessions that made up this special collaborative album.” Watch “Bits And Pieces” streaming below or via YouTube HERE.

“It’s not what you take when you’re living
It’s what you leave behind when you go”
— “Bits and Pieces”

“I remember asking Michael to sing ‘Bits And Pieces ’with me as a duet,” recalls HEATHER. “For some reason I felt intuitively that he should sing it with me, initially he just wanted me to sing it alone. He finally acquiesced and that is what you hear as the second track on the record. As fate would have it, the duet version of ‘Bits And Pieces’ became much more of a poignant song to me after Michael’s passing.”

“A friend, Eric Nelson, wrote this tune about the passing of his father, and his words really resonated with me. Michael wanted this tune to have more of a soulful groove, so he came up with the current version on the record which we recorded as a duet. The last track version of ‘Bits And Pieces’ is closer to the original song, written by Eric, and includes a mournful cello played by Michelle Packman.  In my opinion, the last track captures the loneliness and sorrow of losing a loved one in your life.”

LOMAX will be performing a special record release show for THE DOMAN TRACKS in Los Angeles at the Troubadour on November 29 with special guests Manda Mosher and Abby Posner (who are also part of Blackbird Record Label). Tickets are on sale now HERE. LOMAX has previously opened for Wynonna and The Big Noise, Lee Ann Womack, Blake Shelton, Kenny Rogers, Jeff Bridges, John Hiatt, Richie Furay, Don McLean, Judy Collins, Marshall Tucker Band, Joan Osborne, Melanie, Blood Sweat & Tears and War. “Crunchy hooks form the bedrock of the track, which weaves together interstellar synths, kaleidoscopic electronic soundscapes and ethereal harmonies.” – Guitar World

“Their sound is distinctively Bowiesque: crunchy power chords leading the way into a supremely catchy tune whose infectious hook will immediately have fans finding parallels with their late idol.”Louder Than War (UK)

As unveiled on their debut single “Should’ve Known Better,” Rob Fleming and James Sedge’s new band KillerStar weaves modernist touches into the classic harmonies and exemplary musicianship of classic rock and art-rock from the ‘70s. And they’ve joined forces team of musicians known for their work with David Bowie: Mike Garson on piano, Earl Slick and Mark Plati on guitar, Gail Ann Dorsey and Tim Lefebvre on bass, Emm Gryner on backing vocals, and Donny McCaslin on saxophone.

Today (November 3), KillerStar take another step towards the March 1 release of their self-titled debut album by sharing the video for their second single “Falling Through.” It’s an ambitious, audacious adventure of a track, a song of two halves which recalls Pink Floyd in the way that it begins as a ballad before taking off on a journey into the cosmos via a soaring saxophone solo from Donny McCaslin (a contributor to Bowie’s Blackstar album). Watch the imagery-rich video HERE and listen to the song, out November 3, HERE.

Rob Fleming says, “‘Falling Through’ is about a moment in time and finding tranquility and taking in the surroundings, the ocean, sky, sun. The song builds and takes a left turn with Donny McCaslin providing soaring saxophone, full of emotion.”

This version of “Falling Through” is a different version to the one that will feature on KillerStar’s debut album, having been remixed as an alternative version by Mark Plati, one of Bowie’s key collaborators on records such as Earthling, Reality, and Heathen.

Rob Fleming (vocals, guitars, synths) and James Sedge (drums) formed KillerStar to express their love of timeless music ranging from the primeval rock n’ roll of the early 1970s to contemporary indie. The array of Bowie collaborators arose partly by design, but mostly by chance. Having recorded a set of demos, Rob asked Emm Gryner to contribute vocals, who, in turn, suggested he should contact Earl Slick. Step-by-step, one Bowie alumni led to another, resulting in Bowie’s spirit sparkling throughout KillerStar’s cocktail of earthy rock and nightclub glamour. The album was produced by Rob and James, mixed by Dave Eringa (Manic Street Preachers), with digital mastering by Joe La Porta and vinyl mastered by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios.

KillerStar’s debut album is available to pre-order HERE. It will be released on CD, black vinyl, a limited edition 180-gram gold vinyl pressing, and digital formats.

KillerStar will play a special UK album launch show at London’s 100 Club on March 16th. Rob and James will be joined by three of the key musicians on the album in the shape of Earl Slick (guitar), Mark Plati (bass) and Emm Gryner (backing vocals), and the line-up will be completed by keyboardist Dom Beken (Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets, The Orb). Tickets are available HERE.

Platinum-certified, 5x #1 Hard Rock radio-charting Los Angeles group BAD WOLVES get personal on their new album DIE ABOUT IT, out today, November 3, via Better Noise Music. The Los Angeles-based group—John Boecklin [drums], Daniel “DL” Laskiewicz [lead vocals], Doc Coyle [lead guitar, backing vocals] and Kyle Konkiel [bass, backing vocals]— deliver 13 tracks of earthquaking heaviness and distinctive melodies on DIE ABOUT IT while experimenting and redefining their sound including nods to inspirations as diverse as The 1975 and Meshuggah. Co-produced with Josh Gilbert (As I Lay Dying) alongside Boecklin and DL, BAD WOLVES tackle themes of dismissing bullies and trolls, dissolving toxic friendships, and dealing with loss and addiction with unconstraint. DIE ABOUT IT is available now on digital download, CD, cassette and multiple color vinyl variants at https://badwolves.ffm.to/dieaboutit.

“From the artwork to the music our new album feels more personal,” says Boecklin. “This album is about us surviving through lawsuits, the member changes, the online hate, and the false narratives. We wanna bring back the energy of us making music because we want to, not all the other crap. The album title is a sarcastic statement towards those debating online in turmoil, defending or pushing their own beliefs to the point of absurdity. If you’re gonna cry about it, then you might as well ‘Die About It.’ Leave us out of it.”

BAD WOLVES have today shared a lyric video for their anthemic new single, “Savior,” a track written about someone being there for you in your time of need. Watch it now streaming below or HERE. The group’s first official radio single, “Legends Never Die,” is currently in the Top 20 on the Active Rock radio charts and rising. To date, it has garnered over 1 million streams and 344k video views.

This album is like having your cake and eating it too.  Bad Wolves have mastered an accessible blend of big rock choruses paired with exciting metal riffs… and I’m here for it.”
Jonny Hawkins (Nothing More)

The band will hit the road later this Fall with British rock icons BUSH on their “Nothing To Go But Everywhere” North American tour alongside labelmates Eva Under Fire from November 14 to December 6. BAD WOLVES have announced a series of headlining shows before and after the tour with support from Eva Under Fire and Uncured. See full dates listed below. Lauded by Earmilk as one of 2023’s “acts to watch out for,” Los Angeles-based pop-punk & hip-hop infused singer-songwriter CHLOE STAR has released a cinematic music video for her new single “Fool,” which premiered today, November 2, via YouTube. The “Fool” music video was directed by Ricardo Emmanuel (Usher, Nike) and is the first of an anthology of upcoming videos that will be paired with songs from her recording session with producer Kevin Thrasher (Gwen Stefani, Blink 182, Machine Gun Kelly). Watch “Fool” music video streaming below or on YouTube HERE. Stream/download “Fool” digitally at https://too.fm/y1maryl.

“Shooting the music video was quite an experience because I was able to tap into a character that let me play as another version of myself,” reveals CHLOE. “I wrote this song while I was in a place where I thought every decision that I was making was foolish. Foolish, because I wasn’t given any instruction manual on how to move through life. I didn’t have any proper example set when it came to intimate relationships, friendships, or self-love when growing up, which kinda just set me up for failure. I cannot confirm or deny if the music video is based on actual events. I’ll leave that up to the viewer.”

Having both Indigenous and Persian heritage, CHLOE uses her distinct sound to amplify the voices of her bloodline. Her lush, electro-pop vocal stylings and trap-infused beats stem from influences including icons such as Janis Joplin, Amy Winehouse and Kurt Cobain as well as modern-day acts including Jessie Rayes, Billie Eilish, and Willow. CHLOE released her debut single “Element” in January and soon followed it up with “Straight Girls,” which shared her journey exploring her own sexuality and identifying as gay, which garnered over 64K YouTube views.

With a refreshed lineup consisting of original members and songwriters MAX (vocals, guitar) and COLE BECKER (vocals, guitar)—and the addition of their brother CADE BECKER on bass—SWMRS have self-released a new album, SONIC TONIC, out now digitally. Tapping into disparate influences ranging from the Greek songs of friend and mentor Mihalis Hionas to the honky-tonk stylings of guitar teacher Mitch Polzak, SWMRS continue to draw inspiration from the music they grew up with, crafting unique hooks and vivid lyrics to draw listeners into their distinctive brand of punk music. Stream/download SONIC TONIC at https://found.ee/SonicTonic.

The trio have released a visualizer video for the single “DIY” today, November 1, which can be seen streaming below or via the band’s YouTube channel HERE. With lyrics catering to SWMR’s independent stature, “So, you gotta make the choice: Are you gonna make some noise? Start your own paradise, Gotta D I, oh D I Y. It’s D I Y,” it’s a fitting statement regarding SONIC TONIC.

“The song is about getting back up when you are down, and being the only one that can change your own fate,” shares MAX. “If you want to ‘race’ again, it’s going to be because you made it happen yourself.”

Raised in the Bay Area of California, SWMRS will celebrate SONIC TONICs release and the new lineup with a headlining show November 19 in their hometown of Berkeley, CA at Cornerstone. Tickets are on sale now HERE.

AND FORTHCOMING MUSIC TRAVEL SHOW
“SINGING EARTH WITH BARRETT MARTIN”

TOUR DATES & TICKETS AVAILABLE HERE

Grammy-winning producer, composer, percussionist and writer BARRETT MARTIN will be hitting the road tonight, Tuesday, October 31, to kick off his one-man show, the “Singing Earth Tour 2023,” in support of his new book THE GREATEST BAND THAT EVER WASN’T: THE STORY OF THE SCREAMING TREES due November 3 via Sunyata Books and his forthcoming music and travel series “Singing Earth with Barrett Martin” via VEVO. The tour will kick off in Seattle, WA at Here-After and will wrap around the East Coast and back ending in Denver, CO on December 10 at HQ. See full dates listed below. Tickets can be found HERE. The tour will include stories from MARTIN’s 30-year history in the music industry including his time drumming for Seattle’s pioneering and iconic grunge/rock acts Skin Yard, supergroup Mad Season (including Mike McCready of Pearl Jam and Layne Staley of Alice in Chains), Walking Papers (including Duff McKagan of Guns N’ Roses) and Screaming Trees and stories from his work producing over 100 rock, blues, jazz, and world music albums including REM, Queens of The Stone Age¸ Mad Season and Blues legend CeDell Davis. During the show, MARTIN will perform a soundtrack using various instruments as screens play his upcoming VEVO series, “Singing Earth with Barrett Martin.” The video series follows MARTIN on his travels around the world recording sessions from the Peruvian Amazon, to Brazil, Cuba, Jerusalem, and the Alaskan Arctic.

MARTIN shares: “I decided to do this one-man tour because I had several things coming out at about the same time: my book about the Screaming Trees, ‘The Greatest Band That Ever Wasn’t,’ will be released on November 3 worldwide, and my new series about music around the world, ‘Singing Earth with Barrett Martin,’ will be released shortly on VEVO. I just thought, well, I’m no longer in a rock band and it’s been 10 years since I toured the United States and Europe. Maybe I should just go out there, tell some good stories about my music adventures around the world, and show some of the short films from my new series. I’m even playing various music instruments for the soundtrack to the films, so it’s quite a multi-media adventure. It’s a very different kind of show, but I think people are going to love it.”
