BETTER NOISE MUSIC
CONTINUES ITS ASCENT IN THE GLOBAL MUSIC INDUSTRY BY EXCITINGLY BUILDING ON ITS FORMIDABLE SUCCESS
AND GEARING UP FOR ACQUISITIONS AND EXPANSION

THE LABEL CURRENTLY HAS 4 OF THE TOP 15 TRACKS IN THE ACTIVE ROCK MEDIABASE RADIO CHART (FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH FT. DMX, NOTHING MORE, FROM ASHES TO NEW, AND ASKING ALEXANDRIA),
AND HAD THE LONGEST DURATION #1 OF 2023 ALTERNATIVE RADIO CHART WITH DIRTY HEADS’ “RESCUE ME”

Premiere independent music label Better Noise Music is continuing its ascent in the global music industry by excitingly building on its formidable success and gearing up for acquisitions and expansion. Its roster includes such artists as Five Finger Death Punch, Asking Alexandria, Bad Wolves, Dirty Heads, Nothing More, The HU, From Ashes To New, Crossbone Skully, and Eva Under Fire.

It has now been revealed by Better Noise Music CEO Dan Waite and President Steve Kline that label Chairman Allen Kovac sold a portion of the 20-year-old catalog from the Better Noise label to RAVEN Capital in a “nine figure area” deal in 2022. With an NDA in place since 2022, rumors of the catalog sale have only recently come to light.

The partial Better Noise Music catalog sale of 50% of the BNM catalog included titles from Awolnation, Papa Roach, Escape The Fate, Buck Cherry, The Hu, Bad Wolves, Dirty Heads, Drowning Pool, Hellyeah, Nico Vega, Cold, and Attica Riots, amongst other deeper catalog albums from the labels 20-year-history.  The sold catalog albums will now be administered by Endurance Music Group.

In confirming the sale, Dan Waite says: “The sale of half of the Better Noise Music catalog in 2022 means that many of our ambitions for acquisition and expansion are now possible as Hard Rock and Alternative deals are ending at other labels, Better Noise Music is becoming the natural home for those acts that want major label results with indie label sensibilities and attention to detail. We have the deep pockets to spend on global marketing and promotion in both USA plus International that large acts expect.”

Label CFO Harris Masood points out that this sale “provides the funds to synergistically expand BNM global staff, acquire other labels and catalogues, whilst allowing BNM to keep all frontline artists, and the active frontline albums from our current artists, plus our recent catalog titles, so 50% of the catalog remains in house, a number that is growing each year with new releases.”

Better Noise Music’s dominance in the hard rock and alternative space has only grown since the catalog sale. BNM currently has 4 of the top 15 tracks in this week’s Active Rock Mediabase radio chart (Five Finger Death Punch ft DMX, Nothing More, From Ashes To New and Asking Alexandria), and BNM had the longest duration #1 of 2023 Alternative Radio Chart with Dirty Heads’ “Rescue Me.”

Steve Kline says “Better Noise Music has been the #1 Billboard Hard Rock imprint year on year, and the #1 Active Rock Radio label for five of the last six years. We are developing The Funeral Portrait and will break them like we did with Nothing More, Bad Wolves and From Ashes to New, and we continue to develop established acts like Asking Alexandria, giving them their first two number 1 hits of their long career. We have more new signings we are excited about to announce later in 2024.”

With BMM’s global staff, and with Kline on the advisory board to A2IM, and Waite on the Impala Management Board, AIM Digital Committee, and with both chairing the IMPALA Digital Committee, Kline and Waite are at the cutting edge of the DSP innovations, and BNM is currently out selling and out streaming the top 10 Active Rock chart, and has just given DMX his first #1 track ever as “This is the Way” by Five Finger Death Punch ft. DMX hit the top spot on Billboard’s Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart.

Allen Kovac was advised in the transaction by Tim Mandelbaum and the law firm of Fox Rothschild and by RBC Bank, Royal Bank of Canada.

Grammy® Award winner TOMMY EMMANUEL—acoustic guitarist extraordinaire, composer, and global touring artist—has today (May 9) released a newly shot live performance video for “Bella Soave,” a track from his upcoming album ENDLESS ROAD: 20TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION out May 17. View the Bella Soave” video—which begins with TOMMY talking about the song’s inspiration—HERE. It was shot at TOMMY’s home outside of Nashville, TN and directed by Joshua Britt & Neilson Hubbard for Neighborhoods Apart. It was premiered yesterday (May 8) by The Bluegrass Situation.

Regarded as a landmark album within TOMMY’s body of work, Endless Road has now been newly remastered for digital outlets and will also be available for the first time ever on vinyl. The beautiful and evocative “Bella Soave” is among the album’s highlights. TOMMY recalls that he wrote the song in the back of car while traveling from Soave (near Verona), where he had just spent a few days at a guitar festival, down to Rome.

“The song was written after my first visit in Soave, Italy in 1999.  It was the first festival I ever played,” recalls TOMMY. “I was so happy and overjoyed from the experience of the festival that I started writing when I got into the backseat of the car.  We were driving from Soave down to Rome for a show and workshop, and I wrote this song on the way there. I got it finished and played it that night at the show.  I tried to give it a sort of Spanish feel in the bridge because I had met a lot of Spaniards that weekend at the festival,” he adds.  “’Bella Soave’ means ‘beautiful Soave.’ It’s a beautiful place and has been a big part of my musical life.”

ENDLESS ROAD: 20TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION will include three never-before released live bonus tracks: “Mona Lisa (Live),” “Mr. Guitar (Live),” and “Morning Aire (Live),” the latter of which was unveiled on May 2. Watch the video HERE.

TOMMY views Endless Road as a “wonderful album in my life and in my career. It has a lot of songs that I get asked to play, like ‘The Endless Road,’ ‘Angelina,’ ‘(The Man With The) Green Thumb,’ and ‘Mona Lisa.’” He adds that these songs “are dear to my heart and dear to my fans and friends out there.” Watch the album announcement trailer HERE.

ENDLESS ROAD: 20TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION also includes his covers of “Windy & Warm” and “Somewhere Over The Rainbow.” In addition, the remastered album will feature a live version of “Mr. Guitar.” (The studio version of the song, by TOMMY and Michael Cleveland, was released this past March as first single from the new multi-artist album WE STILL CAN’T SAY GOODBYE – A Musicians’ Tribute to Chet Atkins.) TOMMY recently wrote “Mr. Guitar” in honor of his idol and music icon Chet Atkins, who called TOMMY “one of the best guitar players I’ve ever seen.” In fact, TOMMY is one of five people ever named a CPG (Certified Guitar Player) by Chet Atkins, the innovator, songwriter, producer, record company executive, and visionary. Nashville and the music industry are preparing to celebrate what would have been his 100th birthday on June 20.

Meanwhile, TOMMY was honored this past February when he and guitar trio The String Revolution won the Grammy® Award in the “Best Arrangement, Instrumental or A Cappella” category for their unique reimagining of Johnny Cash’s classic “Folsom Prison Blues.” Sharing the Grammy Award with them was The Man in Black’s son John Carter Cash, who produced the single. Watch the video for “Folsom Prison Blues” HERE.

TOMMY is also coming off a dynamic 2023. He released his acclaimed collaborations album ACCOMPLICE TWO to great acclaim and earned the “Lifetime Achievement” Award from The National GUITAR Museum.

Here are TOMMY’s North American tour dates for 2024. The full international list of dates is HERE.

ABOUT TOMMY EMMANUEL:

TOMMY EMMANUEL has achieved enough musical milestones to satisfy several lifetimes. At the age of six, the Grammy® Award winner was touring regional Australia with his family band. By 30, he was a rock n’ roll lead guitarist burning up stadiums in Europe. At 44, he became one of five people ever named a CPG (Certified Guitar Player) by his idol, music icon Chet Atkins. Today, he plays hundreds of sold-out shows every year from Nashville to Sydney to London. He’s piled up numerous accolades, including two Grammy Award nominationstwo ARIA Awards from the Australian Recording Industry Association (the Aussie equivalent of the Recording Academy); repeated honors in the Guitar Player magazine reader’s poll including a cover story for their August 2017 issue; a cover feature for Vintage Guitar’s July 2020 issue; and was Music Radar’s reader’s poll #1 winner of the Ten Best Acoustic Guitarists in The World (December 2019). A noted fingerstyle guitarist, EMMANUEL frequently threads three different parts simultaneously into his material, operating as a one-man band who handles the melody, the supporting chords and the bass all at once. His talents, which translate in any language, carry him to the far corners of the globe, but EMMANUEL never plays the same show twice, and he improvises big chunks of every date. That leaves him open to those technical imperfections, though they also provide some of the humanity to an other-worldly talent.

“Wish You Were Here 50th Anniversary World Tour” will mark BRIT FLOYD’s biggest and most spectacular production to date, celebrating the 50th anniversary of Pink Floyd’s classic album Wish You Were Here. Widely regarded as the world’s greatest rock tribute experience, this show covers some of the bands most beloved songs—complete with a stunning laser and light show, iconic circular screen, inflatables and theatrics. Wish You Were Here features four of the Pink Floyd’s most loved songs, “Shine On You Crazy Diamond,” “Welcome to the Machine,” “Have a Cigar” and, of course, the titular track.

Taking to the stage to perform—note for note, powerful renditions of all these classic Pink Floyd tracks—are long time guitarist/lead vocalist and musical director Damian Darlington and bassist/lead vocalist Ian Cattell, as well as the other expert musicians that have joined the ranks of BRIT FLOYD over the course of the last decade.

“Getting the band back on to a proper tour on their own turf in the UK since the pandemic presented some unforeseen challenges,” says Palladium Entertainment’s Andy Robbins. “We are very much looking forward to returning to the UK and giving the fans some truly special shows next year.”

The band’s current P-U-L-S-E World Tour includes North American dates from May-July before heading overseas for shows in Europe and the UK starting in September. For the current list of tour dates, including Europe and the UK, go HERE. This monumental celebration of musical history—presented by Palladium Entertainment—will commemorate the 30th Anniversary of Pink Floyd’s iconic album, The Division Bell.

“We live in a world of illusion these days. The world at times doesn’t even seem real. If you don’t want to play the game everyone looks at you like you’re crazy,” says alt-metal group FIRE FROM THE GODS vocalist AJ CHANNER.

FIRE FROM THE GODS’ thought-provoking track “Double Edged Sword” tackles modern day society’s self-righteousness and insincere leanings. The Austin,TX-based band has collaborated with vocalist JAYDEN PANESSO of NYC metalcore outfit SYLAR to add further vigor to “Double Edged Sword” and have today (May 3) shared a lyric video for the collaborative track which is included on their forthcoming digital deluxe version of 2022’s SOUL REVOLUTION, SOUL REVOLUTION DELUXE – THE COLLABS. Watch the lyric video for “Double Edged Sword (feat. Jayden Panesso of Sylar)” streaming below or directly via YouTube HERE. Stream it across digital platforms HERE.

“We are viewing our world through a very narrow scope,” says CHANNER. “We are out of touch with reality or what real life looks like. Some don’t understand it nor want any part of it. When you don’t want to join the proverbial party you get treated like a pariah. Then everyone comes up with a cheeky buzzword to describe you which causes further division. Double Edged sword.”

Due May 31 via BETTER NOISE MUSIC, SOUL REVOLUTION DELUXE – THE COLLABS version will include five new tracks: a cover of Rage Against The Machine’s “Guerilla Radio” and four refreshed fan-favorite tracks with featured guests including Nate Vickers, Corey Glover (Living Colour), Yung Mo$h, and the above-mentioned Jayden Panesso (Sylar). SOUL REVOLUTION’s songs explored themes of self-realization and discovery amidst personal revolution, motherhood, and resilience. It was co-produced by Erik Ron (Godsmack, Motionless In White, Panic! At The Disco) and FIRE FROM THE GODS drummer RICHARD WICANDER. Pre-order’s for SOUL REVOLUTION DELUXE – THE COLLABS can be found on all digital platforms now at https://fftg.ffm.to/soulrevolutiondeluxe.

FIRE FROM THE GODS have relentlessly toured the nation with acts such as Sevendust, Of Mice & Men, Five Finger Death Punch, Megadeth and Norma Jean, as well as appearing on festival stages including Vans Warped Tour, Rock On The Range and Shiprocked. Catch them live this month at Welcome To Rockville (5/11) and Sonic Temple (5/16).

SOLENCE—one of PANDORA’s “Rising Rock Artists To Watch In 2023”–deliver high energy and endless optimism on their new track “F**k The Bad Vibes,” out today, Friday, May 3. The song denotes the Sweden-formed,LA-based band’s signing with BETTER NOISE MUSIC who will release their new album later this fall. Stream/download “F**k The Bad Vibes” now HERE.

“We are excited to welcome Solence to the Better Noise family,” exclaims BETTER NOISE MUSIC President / COO STEVE KLINE. “Their unique and eclectic sound is a perfect compliment to our existing roster and their refreshing blend of pop hooks, electro beats, and metal intensity are poised to have the band make a significant mark on the rock scene. We are eager to help bring Solence’s music to a wider audience.”

“Octane first played Solence back in 2020 and we saw the spark of a new era in rock,” remarks Vincent Usuriello (Senior Director, Music Programming SiriusXM / Octane). “Their sound is a dynamic fusion of rock, metal, and pop elements, with powerful vocals, electrifying guitar riffs, and infectious melodies, creating an immersive sonic experience. Their breakthrough on Octane ignited their journey and they are certainly a band to watch!

F**ck The Bad Vibes” combines big pop hooks with a dancefloor electro savvy and the heavy-yet-melodic intensity of these metal trailblazers. The result is a distinctive international sound equal parts hypnotic and uplifting. Coinciding with its digital release, SOLENCE have unveiled a witty music video for “F**k The Bad Vibes” that parodies “Ghostbusters,” making sure no “bad vibes” will ever be safe again. Co-directed by Michael Lombardi (Papa Roach, “The Retaliators”) and Myles Erfurth (Dead Sara, Ice Nine Kills), watch it streaming below or directly via YouTube HERE.

“We feel like heavy music nowadays has the same dark message and almost the same sound, which is fine, but we wanted to bring back some fun and a different energy to the scene,” says frontman MARKUS VIDESÄTER. “With ‘F**k The Bad Vibes,’ we tried to make it direct and fun, while still keeping our musical integrity intact. We love this song and are so proud of it. The message comes straight from the heart—it’s not easy going through life but sometimes you just gotta remind yourself that you’re in charge and it’s fully possible to ‘F**k The Bad Vibes.’ This is our reminder to ourselves, and hopefully to you as well.”

With over 300 million cumulative streams and 856,000 monthly Spotify listeners, SOLENCE have engaged global audiences with their authentic positive vibes and energetic audience participatory performances on tours opening for bands including Five Finger Death Punch, Ice Nine Kills, and We Came As Romans, in addition to festival appearances at Aftershock, Louder Than Life, Blue Ridge Rock Fest, and more. Their first jaunt in North America was a direct support slot for German group Electric Callboy on their sold-out tour.

Formed in Stockholm by vocalist Videsäter, SOLENCE is rounded out by guitarist David Strääf, keyboardist Johan Swärd, and drummer David “Viking” Vikingsson. The quartet started out releasing heavy renditions of well-known pop hits by Imagine Dragons, Fall Out Boy, Ed Sheeran, Britney Spears, and Queen before breaking out with their 2019 debut album BROTHERS. It was quickly followed by their sophomore album, DIRECTION, which saw them achieve their first Active Rock radio charting with “Animal In Me” which became SiriusXM Octane’s most-played track in 2020. In 2021 SOLENCE released a third album, Deafening, which showed their range of inspirations from music to anime, gaming, sci-fi, and even philosophy. Their latest album Hope Is A Cult was released in 2023. The band are managed by Mike Mowery and Anna Greenhall of 10th Street Entertainment. Amidst writing new material for SOLENCE, Videsäter and Vikingsson have honed in on their songwriting skills writing for pop acts including Jason Derulo and Bebe Rexha.

SOLENCE will be revealing details about their next album in the coming weeks as they prepare to take the stage at several of Europe’s largest music festivals including Rock For People Festival (CZ), Graspop Metal Meeting (BE), Resurrection Fest (ES), Tuska Festival (FI), and Nova Rock Festival (AT).

Mongolian rock sensation THE HU have engaged audiences worldwide with their unique brand of “hunnu rock’ since their formation in 2016. The unparalleled group combine traditional Mongolian throat singing and ancient native instrumentation with contemporary western hard rock. THE HU have dominated the charts, including two #1 spots on Billboard’s World Album and Top New Artist Albums charts, sold-out headlining tours across the globe (including U.S., Europe and U.K), and appearances at some of the world’s biggest music festivals such as Download, Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Glastonbury.

THE HU have announced the digital and CD release of their live album, THE HU LIVE AT GLASTONBURY, recorded from their groundbreaking performance at the legendary Glastonbury festival in Somerset, U.K. in 2023. Due June 7 via BETTER NOISE MUSIC, THE HU LIVE AT GLASTONBURY features 11 songs, including the band’s RIAA Gold-certified hit “Wolf Totem,” which to date has received 98 million video views, as well as popular tracks from their 2019 breakthrough debut The Gereg and its follow-up album Rumble Of Thunder (2022). It also includes the track “Eseerin Vasahina,” which THE HU wrote for EA’s Star Wars Jedi: Survivor game. A limited-edition vinyl release of THE HU LIVE AT GLASTONBURY was released exclusively via Record Store Day (April 20) which included seven songs from the upcoming full-length live album. Here’s some praise from critics of their Glastonbury 2023 performance:

There aren’t many bands causing excitement in the metal world right now that are anything quite like The HUWithin seconds of the band lurching into ‘The Gereg,’ heads across the field are banging, smiles are spreading across faces and it becomes immediately clear that Glasto is set to be the latest territory to fall under the Hu’s spell.
METAL HAMMER (6/26/23)

This band are powerful…one of the most creative and exciting sets for heavy music lovers in 2023.”
KERRANG! (6/26/23)

The Hu are an Ulaanbaatar-based eight-piece – some of them in ceremonial dress, some in leather dusters – who play a mixture of modern and traditional instruments, guitars rubbing up against tovshuur horsehead fiddles. Their songs follow suit, resembling Black Album-era Metallica if James Hetfield had more of a penchant for Tuvan throat singing.”

THE HU have today shared the live shot performance video of their marching, chant-inducing single “Tatar Warrior” filmed during their recent U.S. co-headlining tour with British rockers Asking Alexandria. Watch “Tatar Warrior” streaming below or directly via YouTube HERE.

“During our performance at the Glastonbury festival in 2023, the crowds were extra lively and energetic, so in turn we were bursting with energy,” collectively states THE HU. “We are delighted to be sharing that live performance recording with you. Check out the track ‘Tatar Warrior’ that caused a massive crowd surf and got everyone chanting.”

THE HU will bring their awe-inspiring live performance to audiences across North America this fall as direct support to heavy metal legends IRON MAIDEN from October 4 to November 17.
