EXPANDS STAFF WITH SENIOR AGENTS BRIAN SWANSON & BRENT TACTIC; ADDS JR AGENT CHRIS PALMER FIFTH LOCATION ADDED IN PACIFIC GROVE, CA
MADISON HOUSE INC., the Boulder, CO-based booking agency and management company, has expanded their team with three new agents–senior agents Brian Swanson and Brent Tactic, and junior agent Chris Palmer. The entrepreneurial-driven independent company has also added a new office in Pacific Grove, CA (*see details and photos below) on the heels of February’s opening of a nearby Oakland office and an expanded Nashville location.
“The landscape has changed enormously,” says Madison House Co-Founder Nadia Prescher. “Anyone who has been in the business a few decades has certainly seen a massive shift in the number of independent agencies operating in North America. 23 years later, we still pride ourselves on owning an agency that focuses on our independent spirit -one that continues to benefit our clients.” Prescher adds; “Our longtime clients are key to us, as well as new artists whose careers we are passionately building amid the ever-changing trends in the touring landscape.”
Agent Brian Swanson comes to MADISON HOUSE from Paradigm Agency. Having started his stint in the industry as a talent buyer for Prince’s Glam Slam nightclub, he went on to build a vast career at agencies including Monterey International and Proton Productions, and starting his own shop Hello! Booking which lasted six years. Brian will operate MADISON HOUSE’s new office in Pacific Grove, CA. Among the wide variety of artists he represents, joining acts will include: Smash Mouth, Spin Doctors (including solo dates of Chris Barron and Eric Schenkman), Alan Doyle, The Beths, Bad Bad Hats, Jesse Cook, Trailer Park Boys, Classic Albums Live, GRLwood, Matt Andersen, Lankum and Emily Wolfe.
“The move to Madison House couldn’t feel more natural for me and the artists I bring to the fold,” says Swanson. “The energy I’ve witnessed since we started talking has been mind-blowing. This is about open mindedness and embracing someone’s vision, whether it’s on the artist side or the agent’s side. I have known Nadia (Prescher), Jesse (Aratow) and Adam (Bauer) for longer than I care to admit, so walking through these doors kind of feels like coming home, or finally arriving at the place I need to be. Everyone has embraced my approach, because it is their approach. Sign great artists, make the right decisions, don’t forget about the details. It is a simple mantra and simple mantras work. I’m looking forward to what lies ahead. It’s going to be fantastic!” Swanson‘s email is: brian@madison-house.com.

Exemplifying their progressive standpoint, MADISON HOUSE has added Brent Tactic from Rogue Agency where he has spent the last five years successfully keeping dance floors filled and fulfilled while using that insight to positively shape the careers of the artists that he represents. Brent is currently based in NYC and will eventually work out of the company’s Nashville office. His roster that will join him consists of: Ana Sia, Anoraak, Astronomar, Bad Gyal, Dances With White Girls, Dave Nada, Fat Tony, Fatherdude, Feign, Four Color Zack, Frameworks, Hook, ill-esha, Jantsen, Jon Casey, Kraak & Smaak, Late Night Radio, Lex Luger, Little People, Mark Redito, MikeQ, Moods, Moullinex, Natasha Kmeto, Nedarb, OSHUN, P.O.S, Phutureprimitive, Satin Jackets, SSION, Starkey, Stayloose, The Flashbulb, Tittsworth, vōx and Yuksek. Tactic‘s email is: brent@madison-house.com.
Photo: Brent Tactic Chris Palmer will be a junior agent supporting Swanson‘s roster and building his own roster in the coming months out of the Ann Arbor, MH office. Palmer comes to MADISON HOUSE from Paradigm where he has spent the past 6 years working alongside Swanson. Palmer has been an instrumental element in expanding that roster with the addition of Bad Bad Hats, The Beths, GRLwood and Girl Friday. Palmer‘s email is: chris@madison-house.com

SIBLING FRONTED DARK POP/ROCK ACT
THE HAUNT
REVEAL NEW SINGLE & VIDEO “WHY ARE YOU SO COLD” ![]() “[The Haunt] are making the most of their formative years, channeling young adult angst into ominous orchestral pop.”
“In concert, they faithfully recreate their evocative songs, with note-for-note clarity, encouraging openness to immerse your senses. Feel it with every cell in your being. Channeling the likes of Karen O, Cat Power, Shirley Manson, Amy Lee (of Evanescence), Lorde and the ghost of Nina Simone, Anastasia is an indisputable talent, her powerful voice able to command your undivided attention”
– Icon Vs Icon Fronted by teen siblings Anastasia Grace (lead vocals) and Maxamillion Haunt (vocals, guitar, piano), along with Nick Lewert (drums, piano) and Nat Smallish (bass), THE HAUNT combine youthfully resonant anthems with wistful elegance and raw nerve. The quartet shared their first new music since the release of their 2018 self-titled debut EP with “Why Are You So Cold,” the leading track in a trilogy of conceptually driven singles.
The music video, as seen below, premiered on Obsessxns last week, and invites audiences to take an introspective look at how apathetic our society has become as ANASTASIA strikingly chants, “Why are you so cold? Why are we so cold? Why am I so…”
“‘Why Are You So Cold’ acts as an open letter to the universe from an outsider’s perspective mourning and questioning the loss of empathy, compassion and humanity that it had once embraced,” the band shares. “With social media consuming our livelihood, society has switched gears to instead celebrate instant gratification, notoriety and self-obsession. The song is a plea for humanity to remember how to feel again.”
Based out of South Florida, THE HAUNT was hailed early on as the ‘Best Unknown Band‘ by Miami New Times and shortly after releasing their debut EP, embarked on their first-ever tour, both of the United States and UK/Europe, as direct support for fashion-rock outfit Palaye Royale. Critics across the globe were soon to catch on with UK’s Rock Sound naming them a ‘Breakthrough Artist’ and summarizing their performance as “indifferent to prevailing trends” while Kerrang! praised the group’s “gothic edge” with “flashes of punk vibrancy and riot grrrl attitude.”
ANASTASIA doesn’t just “relate” to the teenagers that make up THE HAUNT‘s fervent fanbase; at just 16 years old she quite literally is one of them.Having started singing and performing at 9 years old, ANASTASIA wrote her first song at age 12 with the band’s popular debut music video/single targeted towards anti-bullying, “All Went Black,” which garnered over 1 million streams combined.
