REDLIGHT KING will reveal the fifth new music video single, “Eye Of A Hurricane,” from their anticipated fourth album IN OUR BLOOD due March 3 via AFM RECORDS. IN OUR BLOOD was written and produced by frontman Mark “Kaz” Kasprzyk at his studio, The Wheelhouse, in Los Angeles, CA with long-time collaborator and guitarist Julian Tomarin, who also co-wrote a few tracks, and drummer Randy Cooke. The album sees REDLIGHT KING notch soaring new highs with a clutch of revved-up, guitar- powered bangers. What separates IN OUR BLOOD from so much of mainstream rock today is its unguarded sense of optimism. Challenging, introspective and complex themes run throughout all 11 tracks as a defiant undercurrent of hope. “I wanted fast, heavy rock songs and I wanted it to seamlessly translate to the live show, with a full rock band–something that was well-recorded but nothing too slick or overproduced,” shares KAZ. “I feel like my music has always been about telling people’s stories and saying what’s really going on from the grass roots perspective, with a bit of hope in the message.”

REDLIGHT KING have developed a worldwide fanbase performing over 1,000 shows with some of the biggest names in rock and appearing at rock’s largest festivals across North America, UK and Europe. They’ve also performed on the late-night TV shows “Late Night with Conan O’Brien” and “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.” Formed in Hamilton, ON by Kaz, REDLIGHT KING made waves in 2011 with the release of their debut album SOMETHING FOR THE PAIN on Hollywood Records which featured the #3 Billboard Mainstream Rock single “Bullet In My Hand” and a reimagined version of Neil Young’s “Old Man” including a Young-approved sample from his original song. Their second album, IRONS IN THE FIRE, followed in 2013 with the single “Born To Rise” that’s heard in the end title credits for the Lionsgate sports drama blockbuster Draft Day. Additional music from the band has been featured in movies and tv shows such as The Avengers, Iron Man 3, The Italian Job, FOX’s ‘Malcolm In The Middle’ and CBS’ ‘Person of Interest’ in addition to being licensed across sports networks including ESPN, Nascar, NFL, CFL, NHL, NBA and MLB. On their third album, 2020’s MOONSHINE, REDLIGHT KING went back to basics by recording a very analog traditional rock sound with songwriter and producer Jimmy Messer (Foreigner, AWOLNATION) who released it on via his independent label, Parts & Labor Records.

REDLIGHT KING have today shared the music video for their new single “Heavy Heart.” Watch it streaming below or directly via the band’s YouTube channel HERE. Taken off their fourth album IN OUR BLOOD due early 2023 via AFM Records, “Heavy Heart” is a stripped-down rock & roll ballad depicting the somber aftermath of a relationship and finding the will to move forward. “This song is very personal to me,” shares REDLIGHT KING founder and frontman Kaz. “It reflects on a loving relationship that ended in heartbreak.  The person in my life wasn’t able to communicate their true feelings and I’m not sure I was in a place to receive the message.  It feels lonely because it is. There’s pain in losing someone you love and no amount of intuition or clarity can make it better, but writing this song helped me find closure and say what I needed to say in their absence.

Discussing the “Heavy Heart” video, he says: “For me the video translates the solitude and cold nature of bearing a broken heart, and somehow in this sadness there is beauty. I feel the ability to love someone triumphs over losing them. The video was taken in and around Yosemite National Park, Northern California by Strati Hovartos.”

Canadian American active rock outfit REDLIGHT KING will release a new single “Cold Killer” this Friday, August 26 across digital platforms. The groove-laden track is the second track to be issued from their fourth studio album IN OUR BLOOD due out later this fall via AFM Record. REDLIGHT KING have also shared a rebel-rousing music video for “Cold Killer,” directed and produced by Strati Havartos. In the video, frontman KAZ leads a biker gang of outlaws including actor/musician Dan Garland (“Euphoria,” New Medicine), Arthur Victoryan, musician Jimmy Trigger (A Trigger Within) and model Widny Bazile (Vogue, Dior, Puma), across various locations in Southern California. “‘Cold Killer’ is about the moment in my life when all dues have been paid, where passion and will meet with wisdom and age,” explains KAZ. “It’s about taking one of my biggest and darkest character defects and flipping it on its head.  The song is about capability.  There is nothing more dangerous than a man possessed. Canadian-American rock outfit REDLIGHT KING are excited to share news of their signing to German rock/metal label AFM RECORDS who will release the band’s fourth full-length album IN OUR BLOOD later this fall. The album was written and produced by frontman Mark “Kaz” Kasprzyk at his studio, The Wheelhouse, in Los Angeles, CA with long-time collaborator and guitarist Julian Tomarin, who also co-wrote a few tracks, and drummer Randy Cooke. REDLIGHT KING released its debut single, the uplifting anthemic title track “In Our Blood,” last Friday, May 6 across all digital platforms following the premiere of its energetic music video via Loudwire on May 5. “’In Our Blood’ is not about religion or politics or money,” explains Kaz about the new single. “It’s about heart. It’s about family. It’s about never giving up. The song was first imagined by our guitarist Julian, who laid down the riff and a killer melody in the hook. It continued to build with a vengeance, so we kicked it into high gear with a four on the floor beat and a traditional rock n’ roll approach to scoring the lyrics.”

Kaz continues, “For me, ‘In Our Blood’ captures the human spirit and gives a sense of hope that we can break through the generational cycles of classism set in place to divide us. When I sing the song I think of my family, I think about my grandfather fighting in WW2, the things they went through, the sacrifices they made and that my parents made as well. I think of my bandmates and the audience we play for. We are all trying to make the best of this journey. We all bleed the same color and we’re all in this together.”

REDLIGHT KING will make their way across the rock festival circuit with appearances at Welcome To Rockville (5/19-22) in Daytona Beach, FL, Blue Ridge Rock Festival (9/8-11) in Dansville, VA and Louder Than Life (9/23-26) in Louisville, KY along with additional dates to be announced in the coming weeks.
