Atlanta-based rock group PISTOLS AT DAWN will hit the road in late spring supporting the California hard rock group Ugly Kid Joe alongside heavy metal group Fozzy (select dates only) across the U.S on the “Rad Wings Of Destiny” tour. It kicks off May 3 in San Diego, with the band then heading to the East Coast before looping back to end on June 10 in San Antonio, TX. Tickets will go on sale this Friday, January 20 at 10:00 AM local time at https://www.pistolsatdawnband.com/tour. PISTOLS AT DAWN will also be seen on the road in early March supporting Alter Bridge and Mammoth WVH from March 10-31. Full dates can be found listed below.

Active rock group PISTOLS AT DAWN stand behind the powerful women in their lives with their new single, “Fly,” a powerful and dark love song. “‘The Truth’ revolves the around the constant noise we have in our head pushing and pulling our emotions so much that we sometimes lose total control and explode,” explains drummer ADAM JAFFE. “We have to be careful to maintain our thoughts and emotions, or ‘The Truth’ is that they could ‘tear us apart.’ The inspiration behind the music video was to show the constant emotional pinball game our minds play on us privately, coupled with the explosive reality of what can happen if we are truly triggered into chaos.”

“‘Gone Black’ is about people who cause their own misery,” explains the band on the track’s meaning. “They are living their lives stagnant while thinking they are living right, all the while sinking into their own arrogance and/or ignorance and following a perpetual cycle. “Working with Shane Morton at Silver Scream FX Lab is like working with Picasso,” the band shares. “He’s an absolute guru that executes his vision with such ease and care that one minute you are human and the next you are a real creature of the netherworld. Hard rock outfit PISTOLS AT DAWN have shared the second heavy-hitting single, “Crown,” from their upcoming debut EP NOCTURNAL YOUTH due out May 7. “‘Crown’ is about observing a majority of the world pursuing detrimental ways of life,” jointly state PISTOLS AT DAWN. “It’s about knowing better and seeing leadership continually fail those they lead. Too many in power are acting like foolish kings. ‘Crown’ is a push against apathy and ignorance and refusing to represent those ideologies. The video is a visual representation of the dystopian reality we find ourselves living in, a play on the pursuit of the ‘golden idol,’ and a rejection of the internal and external infrastructure that perpetuates this warped existence.”

PISTOLS AT DAWN recently spoke to their hometown daily paper, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, about the band’s reformation after a brief hiatus following the passing of original guitarist Mike Buffa and the chemistry between founders Adam Jaffe (drums), Devin White (guitars) and Billy Sullivan (bass) with new members Tommy Richardson (guitars) and VH1 Rockstar Supernova finalist Chris Pierson (vocals) while recording their new EP. NOCTURNAL YOUTH was recorded with producer Jeff Tomei (Smashing Pumpkins, Matchbox 20) and mastered by engineer Maor Appelbaum (Faith No More) and features four powerful and distinctive tracks which Outburn Magazine applaud for their “instantly catchy sing-along anthems and headbang inducing melodies.” The EP’s debut single “Voices” was released on March 5 and was revered by Indie Pulse Music for its “catchy and powerful chorus.”

Atlanta, GA hard rock heralders PISTOLS AT DAWN are excited to share details on their forthcoming debut EP NOCTURNAL YOUTH which they’ll self-release on May 7. The EP was recorded with producer Jeff Tomei (Smashing Pumpkins, Matchbox 20) and mastered by engineer Maor Appelbaum (Faith No More) and features four heavy-hitting electrified tracks that exemplify their uniquely powerful sound.

“‘Voices’ is a song about trying to quiet the voices in one’s head and the voices around us,” explains PISTOLS AT DAWN in a joint statement. “We live in a world where everyone has a voice, and it can be hard to find the real truth. It’s about focusing on self-reflection and drawing a line in the sand to weed out all the nonsense. The video for the song is all about intimacy–it’s meant to bring the listener up close so they can see and feel our emotion and expression as we expel the voices through our playing. Connection is everything to us, and we want our listeners to see and feel what we feel. Raw emotion and passion—that’s how we connect.”

PISTOLS AT DAWN was originally formed in 2015 but disintegrated after the tragic passing of guitarist Mike Buffa in 2018.  The band reformed in 2019 with founding members, drummer Adam Jaffe, guitarist Devin White and bassist Billy Sullivan while adding Tommy Richardson on guitars and VH1 Rockstar Supernova finalist Chris Pierson on vocals. Taking inspiration from universal hard rock acts such as Godsmack, Breaking Benjamin and Disturbed, the quintet headed to Cock The Walk studio in their hometown of Atlanta with Tomei in early 2020 to record three new singles that displayed their heart-pumping, radio-ready sound which they released later that year.
