Born from the creative spark of four passionate Gen X creators, the GenX Takeover Tour continues to wow audiences across the country with their high-spirted performances. The group will perform select dates through the end of 2026 (dates below) before returning to the high seas for their second cruise, The Ultimate GenX Spring Break in March 2027.
Led by the vibrant voices of iconic creators—The Real Slim Sherri, Jon Wellington (The Dadbod Veteran, DBV), Nick Harrison (The Professor), and Kelly Manno (your best friend in your head)—the foursome have created an experience that’s about connecting with their fans in a meaningful way and having a blast while they’re at it. The foursome debuted their show—where authenticity meets nostalgia—in 2024 and each of them brings their unique flavor of humor, resilience, and unapologetic realness, making Gen-X Takeover the ultimate destination for those who celebrate life’s quirks and the power of being yourself.
This year will see performances across North America with stops in Concord, NH, Albuquerque, Dallas, Houston and Los Angeles. They’ll head back to the road in January for additional tour stops before returning to the seas for their second GenX Takeover Cruise, March 4–9, 2027.
The 2027 cruise will build on the Gen X energy that made the sold-out 2025 cruise unforgettable. The 5-night GenX Takeover Cruise sails out of Tampa, FL aboard the newly renovated Margaritaville at Sea Islander. Fans can expect live comedy, music, concerts, dancing, interactive game shows, dodgeball tournaments, Gen X talent shows, rap battles, club nights, bingo, live band karaoke, DJs, spring break beach parties, a glamour shots studio, retro movie nights, a retro video arcade, themed parties, pickleball, and much more.

Here’s a sampling of what fans might experience on the GenX Takeover Tour—in their own words. Read full Q&As HERE.
Q: Each of you bring a unique perspective with your life observations, which is what makes the shows so compelling. What is the one subject you cover every night in your set?
JON WELLINGTON: In my set, I go into detail about the false sense of security that our generation has about being immune to FAFO. We have survived hose water, sketchy bike ramps, being left alone at a very young age, and we have a false confidence that we are invincible as adults…but we aren’t. I share the reality of how FAFO changes for us as we get older, and how we aren’t as immune as we thought we are.
THE REAL SLIM SHERRI: I always touch on the Gen X experience and how wildly different life is today compared to how we grew up. I talk a lot about raising two teenage girls in a digital world while remembering what it was like growing up in our completely analog one. We were feral. There were no tracking apps, no social media, no cameras documenting every bad decision. We survived on hose water, neglect, and resilience. Meanwhile, kids today have Alexa to help them with their homework and they’re always bored! The contrast is hilarious—and honestly, sometimes terrifying.
NICK HARRISON: Something I talk about every night is my family. I am a husband to an incredible wife and a father of three amazing kids. I talk about our quirks and fun things we experience together as a family. It brings me praise and great joy to talk about my family on stage. They are a big reason why I do what I do. And sometimes my wife is there to see it in person, which can be hilarious (and sometimes awkward).
KELLY MANNO: That our parents hated us. Maybe hate is a strong word, they definitely didn’t like us, they needed TV commercials to remind them we existed.

About THE GEN X TAKEOVER:
The Gen X Takeover is the ultimate live comedy event for the generation that survived lawn darts, secondhand smoke, dial-up internet, and being told to “be home when the streetlights come on.”
Bringing together four of social media’s most recognizable Gen X voices—The Real Slim Sherri, Nick Harrison, Kelly Manno, and The DadBod Veteran—The Gen X Takeover delivers a high-energy, nostalgia-fueled comedy experience built specifically for the generation that mastered sarcasm before it became a personality trait.
With more than 25 million combined followers and a fiercely loyal fan base, this powerhouse lineup blends stand-up comedy, storytelling, social commentary, and the shared trauma of growing up in the 70s, 80s, and 90s into an unforgettable live event. From parenting teenagers while needing reading glasses, to surviving corporate America, bad knees, questionable fashion choices, and the emotional damage caused by cassette tapes getting eaten by your car stereo, The Gen X Takeover turns midlife chaos into sold-out laughter.
More than just a comedy show, The Gen X Takeover is a cultural reunion—part stand-up, part therapy session, part late-night house party with the friends you wish lived next door.
