SiriusXM PRESENTS
THE BRIAN SETZER ORCHESTRA’S
16TH ANNUAL
‘CHRISTMAS ROCKS! TOUR’
VISITING OVER 20 CITIES
FEATURING MUSIC FROM THEIR THREE
BEST-SELLING HOLIDAY ALBUMS AND BRIAN’S NUMEROUS HITS
Iconic guitarist, songwriter, vocalist and three-time Grammy-Award winner BRIAN SETZER and his 19-piece ORCHESTRA will tour the country on their 16th annual “Christmas Rocks! Tour,” presented for the fifth consecutive year by SiriusXM. The over 20-city annual and critically acclaimed holiday extravaganza will launch November 15 at the State Theatre in Minneapolis, MN (full itinerary below). Tickets in participating markets will go sale Friday, July 26 at 10:00 AM(local time), pre-sales are as follows:
“People tell me all the time what joy I bring them over the holidays,” says BRIAN SETZER. “I don’t take this for granted. People don’t say something like that unless they mean it. When we get a standing ovation at the end of the Christmas show, it means something just a little extra.”
THE BRIAN SETZER ORCHESTRA‘s set list will feature music from the group’s three Christmas albums, BOOGIE WOOGIE CHRISTMAS, DIG THAT CRAZY CHRISTMAS and ROCKIN’ RUDOLPH, as well as original material that spans his 40-year career. SETZER’s trademark guitar work and vocal stylings will be matched with his 19-piece orchestra‘s rockin’ big-band horn arrangements, making for a reliably unbeatable combination. View the Christmas sizzle reel here.
BRIAN SETZER‘s legendary career has led him through four critically acclaimed and successful phases from the Stray Cats, to solo albums, the Rockabilly Riot and The Brian Setzer Orchestra. The Brian Setzer Orchestra show seamlessly encompasses music from all these phases. He is a 3-time Grammy Award-winner, and in 2014, SETZER received the distinct honor of being asked by the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. to donate a replica of his original 1959 Gretsch 6120 “Stray Cat” guitar, joining an elite collection of iconic treasures at the museum.
“The music I play in the big band is rock n’ roll with a jazz influence,” says SETZER. “What keeps it fresh is the quality of the players in the band. Also, a big part of keeping the big band fresh is the arrangements; writing the arrangement for 19 people is like writing a song within a song. It makes the song you might have heard many times sound new again.”
For the past four years (2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018), THE BRIAN SETZER ORCHESTRA has had a strong presence across SiriusXM channels during the holidays and has partnered with the audio entertainment company for subscriber-only concerts in New York City and Los Angeles, which have aired on SiriusXM’s Outlaw Country and Holly channels. This tradition will continue this year.

LIVE CRITICAL QUOTES FOR LAST YEAR’S
“15TH ANNUAL CHRISTMAS ROCKS! TOUR”
“…it was no surprise to see that Setzer’s 15th Anniversary Christmas showcase with a rich 19-piece ensemble at the grand Academy of Music found its crowd with as many families looking for a good, clean night out, as it did many a spikey, grey haired sort. And the fact is, those crowds-and anyone in-between-got a damned good, entertaining time…But, as advertised, they rocked. Hard. And swung. Deep. And from there, propelled the expressive, blues-lick-happy Setzer (and his band membership) into quickly, flickering and imaginative solos. It’s easy to forget this fact until you hear him live and loud: Setzer is one of America’s best guitarists, past and present, hands down. Hearing his brand of six-string slinging in a setting so (now) well-known makes you yearn to hear him in other combinations and with other equally audacious players. With that, this Christmas show of Setzer’s reinvented itself beyond the cheer of the November-December holiday season into something manic, panicked and pulsating in a fashion only the best big bands could do.”
“For 15 years, Brian Setzer and his ‘orchestra’ have been tapping the Christmas well with an upbeat extravaganza that gets bigger and better every season…Setzer is undoubtedly a master showman and picker with incredible timing, dexterity and a classical crooner’s voice. He seems to be having the time of his life up there. And it likely helps that everyone on that stage measures up to Setzer’s standards, enriching the chemistry with solos, interaction and other feats of virtuosity.”
“I walked into the State Theater on Friday, November 16th I was expecting a full on holiday show, but what I got was something far more than that…The Orchestra closed the main set with Setzer’s most famous creation “Rock This Town” once the opening notes of that hit the crowd jumped up and rushed the stage. The dancing and singing spread like wild fire, even the balcony was getting in on the action. For the encore Setzer and his Christmas Orchestra covered four parts from ‘The Nutcracker ballet. They ended the night with one of the most recognizable Christmas songs ever ‘Jingle Bells.’As I stood three feet from the stage in the isle (as well as dozens of other fans), a huge grin came over my face as we all watched a man in a Santa suit run out on the stage and toss candy canes into the audience. It was the perfect was to end this Holiday show.”
“Now in its 15th year, Brian Setzer’s annual holiday tour has become a legendary extravaganza. The rockabilly guitar slinger loves Christmas and really gets into the spirit. The powerful set provided the middle-aged crowd with a feel-good evening of Setzer’s special brand showmanship and roots-influenced and surf-drenched rockabilly-inspired Christmas music…As always, Setzer adhered to the “leave on a high note” and “always leave them wanting more” showbiz credo when he and his band brought the entire audience to its feet with the evening’s closing number ‘Jingle Bells.’ This energetic and fun version of the holiday tune had members of the audience, ushers, roadies and musicians all grinning from ear to ear.”
“It’s been 15 years since Brian Setzer and his orchestra started bringing his rockin’ Christmas show to audiences during the holiday tour season. It is one of the most popular Christmas shows around the country. A fun, upbeat time where fans dress up in their yuletide best which means everything from lights, to tinsel and crazy Christmas sweaters! There were many of those at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater on Wednesday night!”
“I can’t think of a better way to kick off the holiday season, than by checking out the Brian Setzer Orchestra on their ‘Christmas Rocks!’ tour…Setzer described the sound of his orchestra as a “Cadillac that just run perfect.” He showcased that power by taking the audience to the next level with his cover of the Louis Prima classic ‘Jump, Jive and Wail.’ Setzer would also perform others covers that night, including The Beatles’ ‘Hey Bulldog’ and the Johnny Cash classic ‘Ring Of Fire.’ The youthful side of Brian Setzer came pouring out as the rockabilly trio of Setzer’s longtime bassist Johnny Hatton and drummer Noah Levy came together for an explosion of energy performing the Stray Cats’ ‘Fishnet Stockings.’…Setzer closed out the set with another Stray Cats classic, “Rock This Town,” as everyone was swinging to the rockabilly sound.

JASON CHARLES MILLER SHARES MUSIC VIDEO FOR “GET THEE BEHIND ME” ANNOUNCES FALL TOUR DATES & MUDDY ROOTS FESTIVAL APPEARANCE
![]() Photo Credit: Joshua Thomas Award-winning singer-songwriter, musician and voice-over actor JASON CHARLES MILLER has unveiled a new music video for his powerful single “Get Thee Behind Me,” which features guest performances by Dug Pinnick (King’s X), ‘Cowboy’ Eddie Long and Duane Betts (son of founding Allman Brothers guitarist Dickey Betts). The track is taken from MILLER‘s recent album IN THE WASTELAND (SONY/RED MUSIC) which combines elements of outlaw country, Americana and Southern rock.
Filmed in the Southern California desert near the Salton Sea and directed by Andrew Fogel (The League of S.T.E.A.M.), the video alludes to the Christian story of the Temptation of Christ and contemplates the struggle of good versus evil. Watch it below or on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6NFPBZwomdc.
“Get thee behind me
’cause the devil won’t show what he know you don’t know”
“When writing the lyrics for this album, I was really inspired by the struggle of good versus evil,” shares MILLER. “Whether you’re a Christian or not, most people are at least casually aware of the story of the Temptation of Christ, where Jesus wanders in the desert for 40 days and is tested and tempted by Satan. Taking more of a secular view of a very religious story, I decided to write the lyrics from Satan’s point of view–how he kept getting more and more frustrated with Jesus and finally left. So of course I had to play Satan in the video, at least part of the time! The rest of the time I’m just myself, retracing the steps of what happened.”
“Well he cast me down, to the underground
I’m gonna raise my throne, you’re gonna hear my sound”
MILLER embarks August 20 on a headline month-long trek across the U.S. plus a few shows supporting the Allman Betts Band and an appearance at Muddy Roots Music Festival in Tennessee. Next, MILLER will return to California for the annual Wasteland Weekland, where he’s previously performed; the festival is featured in the music video for the album’s title track, “In The Wasteland.” Look for MILLER to also perform at the Whisky-A-Go-Go on October 3. Full dates are listed below.
![]() In The Wasteland was mixed and produced by Grammy Award winner Matt Hyde (Jonny Lang, No Doubt, Deftones) and features drummer Kenny Aronoff (John Mellencamp, John Fogerty). The album’s additional musical guests include two members from Lynyrd Skynyrd–guitarist Rickey Medlocke and keyboardist Peter Keys–legendary soul vocalist Brenda Lee Eager (Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles and Diana Ross), Blackberry Smoke vocalist Charlie Starr, and guitarist Adam Shoenfeld (Tim McGraw, Jason Aldean).
MILLER is also widely recognized as the founder of the rock band Godhead. He’s also written songs with Billy Ray Cyrus, Rickey Medlocke, Charlie Starr, Marilyn Manson and Ben Moody (Evanescence) and has been awarded three gold records. Hismusic has been featured on such TV shows as “True Blood,” “The NFL Today,” “The Deadliest Catch” and “Critical Role.”
MILLER is a voice-over actor who has appeared in over 100 cartoons and video games and is the on-camera host of the popular Geek & Sundry show “Starter Kit,” which teaches celebrities how to play role-playing games. He recently appeared at the San Diego Comic Con speaking on the Geek & Sundry Presents: All Things RPG-E Panel, followed by a surprise acoustic performance for Legion M‘s official SDCC party at TCL Rooftop.

MANDA MOSHER
DEBUT SINGLE TO LAUNCH NEXT WEEK WITH
COVER OF JOHN MORELAND’S “NOBODY GIVES A DAMN ABOUT SONGS ANYMORE”
DIGITAL PRE-ORDER AVAILABLE NOW
Alt-Americana artist MANDA MOSHER has announced plans to release her third solo album this fall on her Blackbird Record Label. The album’s debut track and video will be released next Friday, July 26-it’s the Los Angeles native’s spirited take on John Moreland‘s “Nobody Gives A Damn About Songs Anymore .” You can hear a brief snippet of the song and find a digital pre-order here:
“On the new album, I’m returning to my rock n’ roll roots while incorporating elements of the California Country sound I’ve been known for more recently,” shares MOSHER. “You’re gonna hear an honest representation of the music, keeping the influence of technology on the production to a minimum in the tradition of some of my favorite recordings from artists that shaped me like Tom Petty, Lucinda Williams, and Wilco. I can’t wait to share it with everyone.”
Originally intended as a song to record with CALICO the band, her previous group, it’s been reborn with impassioned harmonies by her guitarist Eric Craig and resounds as fervent proof why songs still matter and always will.
The award-winning singer-songwriter, musician and entrepreneur has launched two record labels (California Country Records and Blackbird Record Label), an apparel company (California Country Apparel), a recording facility, and co-founded the California Country Social event, AMERICANAFEST– which has been updated for 2019 as The California Country Show where she will be hosting and performing this fall in Nashville.
MOSHER recently performed in Los Angeles alongside Brian Whelan. It was a rousing performance, with Live Music News & Reviews stating, “This memorable show was a testament to Mosher’s talent to captivate and hold the audience’s attention. The high energy and driving performance lingered in the music listener’s mind long after the last note was played.” (Harriet Kaplan, July 2, 2019).

ANNOUNCE THEIR FIRST CRAFT BEER
“THROWING COPPER ALE”
IN COLLABORATION WITH ALOSTA BREWING CO.
PRE-SALE AVAILABLE JULY 16
![]() Seminal rock band +LIVE+ has joined forces with the Southern California-based brewing company Alosta Brewing for the creation of the band’s first craft beer “Throwing Copper Ale.” It’s named in honor of the band’s landmark 8X multi-platinum album THROWING COPPER which is being celebrated via a 25th anniversary deluxe multi-format reissue out July 19 via Radioactive/MCA/Ume. The band–Ed Kowalczyk (vocals, guitar), Chad Taylor (guitar, backing vocals), Patrick Dahlheimer (bass) and Chad Gracey (drums, percussion)–is also marking the album’s milestone on a co-headline tour with Bush this summer of arenas and amphitheatres (dates below).
“Throwing Copper Ale,” according to the Alosta Brewing website, is “a union of the caramel toffee like sweetness of English barley and the bitterness of Nobel hops. Smooth, refreshing. English Ales are often referred to as Copper Ales, and we could not resist taking the opportunity to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Throwing Copper with LIVE’s very first craft beer. We present to you Throwing Copper Ale.”
The ““Throwing Copper Ale” pre-sale begins today, July 16, with orders shipped, across the United States except for UT, ND, and SD, as well as Canada, on 10/1/19-10/7/19:
“Considering LIVE’s amazing and blessed career of over 25 years and its countless highlights, it can be pretty challenging to find things that we have yet to accomplish or try anew,” says frontman Ed Kowalczyk. “So when Alosta Brewing Co. approached us with the idea of ‘Throwing Copper Ale,’ we jumped at the chance to do something we hadn’t done before. Marrying a classic ale and a classic album like Throwing Copper was a no-brainer! So Cheers and Bottoms Up baby!”

ABOUT +LIVE+:
+LIVE+, the multi-platinum band from Pennsylvania–Ed Kowalczyk (vocals, guitar), Chad Taylor (guitar, backing vocals), Patrick Dahlheimer (bass) and Chad Gracey (drums, percussion)–have sold over 22 million albums worldwide and earned two number one albums (Throwing Copper, Secret Samadhi). Their catalog is filled with such gems as “Lightning Crashes,” “I Alone,” “All Over You,” and “Lakini’s Juice,” which live on today as classics at rock radio. Throwing Copper-which is being celebrated in 2019 with a new deluxe 25th anniversary edition via Radioactive/Geffen/Ume–produced the band’s biggest single, “Lightning Crashes,” which was #1 at Modern Rock radio for 10 consecutive weeks. Throwing Copper reached #1 on the Billboard Top 200 and eventually surpassed sales of 10 million albums sold with Rolling Stone honoring the album with placement on their list, “1994: The 40 Best Records From Mainstream Alternative’s Greatest Year.” Secret Samadhi (1997) immediately shot to #1 on the Billboard Top 200 and eventually went double platinum. The release of the platinum-selling The Distance to Here (1999) turned +LIVE+ into an international powerhouse and moved the band from arenas into stadiums. +LIVE+ has been and remains today a global concert juggernaut. The band released an acclaimed five-song EP in 2018, LOCAL 717, their first new music in over a decade.
