Emo rock revivalists THE FUNERAL PORTRAIT—Lee Jennings (Vocals), Cody Weissinger (Guitar), Caleb Freihaut (Guitar/Auxiliary), Robert Weston (Bass), and Homer Umbanhowar (Drums)—have unveiled their latest single today (February 7), “Hearse For Two (feat. Lilith Czar).” Illuminating the themes of devastating loss and eternal love, the song has been released one week ahead of Valentine’s Day. Boundary-pushing Grammy-nominated rock outfit NOTHING MORE will release a deluxe edition of their acclaimed 2024 album CARNAL via Better Noise Music on March 28 across digital platforms followed by a physical release on CD and vinyl on May 16. CARNAL saw the band achieve two #1 Active Rock radio singles—“ANGEL SONG (feat. David Draiman)” and “IF IT DOESN’T HURT”—and has to date amassed 100 million streams. “Milk & Honey” bursts to life with the unfiltered energy of a track written in just an hour. Rooted in a rock/reggae groove, it captures the whirlwind of restless late-night thoughts—the ones that hit hardest just before sleep. Its raw, hypnotic ‘loop-design’ feels like the pulse of a busker’s open-air jam, alive and unrestrained.

“I hadn’t written a track that was looping-based for a very long time,” TASH explains. “I steered away from it because I felt as though I’d been pigeon-holed as only a ‘looper’ and not so much of a musician/composer/producer.”

With lyrics that rebel against the suffocating rush of the fast lane, this song challenges you to step back, breathe, and embrace the bigger picture.

Accompanying the release is their ‘Live at Lonely Lands Studio’ performance, taking us back to where it all began—a tribute to TASH‘s roots and the magic of those early, unpolished bedroom performances of some early TASH tracks including “Notion” and “Jungle.” Stripped back and free-flowing, this live session captures the pure, unfiltered energy that defined the start of their journey. “Milk and Honey is a return to the roots, a return to the beginning of why and how music made me feel in the first place when it was just ‘plug your shit in and jam,’” says TASH. “It was less structured and less focused on delivering a ‘hit’ less pressure to be anything other than just the jam itself.” “I’ve seen a lot in my career as an artist and approaching a more mature side of it 10 years in,” adds TASH. “I’ve seen many fast lanes, been in many fast lanes, crashed the vehicle, rebuilt from the wreck, rehabbed my brain, and it always lands me in the same place—back to the start.”

ABOUT CARVER LOUIS

Carver Louis, born and raised in the small town of Tooele, Utah lived the life of any hometown kid. He grew up playing sports for the local high school, from running track to being the quarterback of the football team., all while listening to the greats like George Strait and Alan Jackson. Being molded by small town country music it was only fitting that Carver take the stage as a country musician one day.

Soon after releasing his debut single “Through with You,” in 2017, Carver’s music career took off. He began performing at smaller venues such as rodeos and county fairs. However, that soon changed when Carver performed at Country Fan Fest 2017.

Carver gained traction and his popularity grew so did the audience, going from 12 people at a barbeque joint to 6,000 when he opened for Rodney Atkins at Cherry Peak Resort. Larger performances such as the Country Summer Music Festival in California followed soon after the release of his freshman album Through with You in 2018. Which included “Country Way” and “All Because of You.”

After the release of Carver’s sophomore EP Take Off released April of 2021, includes the tracks “I Hope You’re Good” and “Change Up.” He rejoined Rodney Adkins as his opening act during the western leg of his tour.

During his career Carver has been given the opportunity to open for a wide range of country artists such as Travis Denning, John Michael Montgomery, Diamond Rio, Carly Pierce, Morgan Evans, Thompson Square, Trick Pony, LoCash, Midland, Coffey Anderson, Waterloo Revival and Black Hawk. Singer-songwriter Michelle Johnson’s style – best described as Carole King meets Ella Fitzgerald – draws from jazz, pop, soft rock, musical theater, gritty blues, & soul. The Las Vegas based singer has recorded, performed, or shared stages with some of the biggest names in entertainment: Paul McCartney, Elton John, Gladys Knight, and Barbra Streisand to name a few. Her aesthetic has roots deep in the singer-songwriter tradition with traces of gospel and folk, and echoes of the vocal masters who ruled the radio waves in the days before rock & roll. That voice lights up “I’m All In,” her warm and vibrant latest single, which premiered on September 23, 2019. ABOUT NICOLE ZURAITIS

Nicole Zuraitis is a GRAMMY winning and 2X GRAMMY-nominated jazz singer-songwriter, pianist and arranger, New York-based bandleader and winner of the prestigious 2021 American Traditions Vocal Competition Gold Medal. With a “heart as big as her remarkable voice,” (Jazz Police), Nicole has positioned herself as one of the top artists and “prolific songwriters” (Broadway World) to watch in jazz and beyond.

As a recording artist, Nicole has released five albums as leader, and her sixth album, How Love Begins, co-produced with eight-time GRAMMY-winner Christian McBride, won BEST JAZZ VOCAL ALBUM at the 2024 GRAMMY® awards and features all original music. Besides leading her quartet, Nicole is the premier vocalist for the Birdland Big Band and frequently headlines iconic NYC jazz clubs like Dizzy’s Club at Lincoln Center, Birdland, the Blue Note, the Carlyle, 54 Below and the late, great 55 Bar. She has appeared as a featured soloist with the Savannah Philharmonic, Asheville Symphony and Macon Pops and has supported iconic singers like Melanie, Morgan James, Darren Criss and Livingston Taylor on piano and vocals.

Nicole’s arrangement of Dolly Parton’s Jolene, co-written with renowned drummer and bandleader Dan Pugach, was nominated for a 2019 GRAMMY®, spring boarding her career and making her a household name in the modern-day jazz landscape.
