“We are beyond super stoked for you to check out the new ‘(Hold On) To The DREam EDIT’ Video! This song is becoming completely iconic in our live set! Enjoy the new version of video–which is similar to the previous one–just a little more finished! I am overjoyed to give you all a fresh look and listen to this song which completely mesmerizes the crowd and the band live every night! Looking forward to seeing you all Bach on the Road! We will give you a 100% LIVE rock ‘n’ roll show no tapes no fakes all real all the time cuz that’s the only way we know how to do it! Come and see a real rock ‘n’ roll show while it still exists!”

SEBASTIAN’s fall dates kick off October 4 in Portland, with dates in the U.S., including two shows at The Whisky in Los Angeles, plus 16 dates in his native Canada (see full itinerary below).

“The new album CHILD WITHIN tHE MAN is the rock ‘n’ roll gift that keeps on giving!” BACH says. “We are so excited to take this music across Canada and the USA this fall 2024! In addition to songs from the new record we will also be Celebrating the 35th Anniversary of the first record Skid Row 1989 – 2024!”

Here’s some feedback of SEBASTIAN BACH’s summer 2024 shows:

“Sebastian Bach’s still got it… Bach came out swinging with Child Within the Man lead single ‘What Do I Got to Lose?,’ a vintage metal anthem that worked the audience into a fast frenzy… It was a blast, just like the rest of his set — because Bach has never forgotten the long-lost art of having fun at a rock show. It’s difficult not to share his enthusiasm when he swings his microphone above his head or pounds the air like a boxer. Bach has been at this for nearly four decades now, and he remains a proverbial defender of the faith with the chops to back it up. The times have changed, but his conviction has not — and if you squint your eyes and listen close during the opening scream of ‘Youth Gone Wild,’ you can still catch a glimpse of the child within the man.”
— Bryan Rolli, Ultimate Classic Rock, 6/24/24 (on 6/23 San Antonio, TX Show)

“Knowing everyone there could probably recite every verse, Bach let the crowd sing the first couple of verses…but when he kicked into the chorus it was incredible how great his voice sounded. Scratch that! Not only great, but a voice that kicks ass…If there was any doubt about how the new tunes or even Sebastian Bach’s pipes they were quickly put to rest.”
–David LaMason, ParkLife DC, 5/22/24 (on 5/19 Baltimore, MD Show)

“Rounding out the band were bassist Clay Eubank and guitarist Brody DeRozie. These guys put on a solid show backing one of the greatest vocalists of our time in Sebastian Bach. Don’t pass up seeing this show if it comes to your neck of the woods.”
–Joseph Suto, Rock Show Critique, 5/19/24 (on 5/17 Warren, OH Show)

“On a sultry mid-summer night at the end of June, Sebastian Bach, the iconic frontman of 80s Metal band Skid Row, took the stage at the Majestic Ventura Theater in Ventura, CA, for a night of electrifying rock…Sebastian Bach and his band took the stage…for an explosive 16 song set, that literally rattled the walls of the vintage era theater…The show was full of nostalgic MTV-era classic rock, a genre that dominated the music scene in the 1980s and early 1990s. This style, characterized by its catchy melodies, anthemic choruses, and guitar-driven sound, was showcased in Bach’s performance. Despite the nostalgic vibe, the show also highlighted Bach’s incredible vocal skills, which remain as vibrant and powerful as ever.”
–L. Paul Mann, Wildfire Music, 7/22/24 (on 6/26 Ventura, CA Show)

CHILD WITHIN tHE MAN was recorded in Orlando, Florida; produced and mixed by Baskette; engineered by Jef Moll, assistant engineered by Josh Saldate; and mastered by Robert Ludwig/Gateway Mastering. BACH wrote or co-wrote all the album’s 11 tracks and sang all lead and backing vocals. CHILD WITHIN tHE MAN features guest appearances from John 5, Steve Stevens, and Orianthi—who all co-wrote their respective tracks with BACH—and two tracks co-written with Myles Kennedy (“What Do I Got to Lose?” and “To Live Again’); Devin Bronson on guitars, Todd Kerns (bass) and Jeremy Coulson (drums) round out the players on the album. It has yielded four singles, all of which have impacted the rock charts: Freedom,What Do I Got To Lose?,” “Everybody Bleeds,” and (Hold On) To The Dream.”

The artwork for CHILD WITHIN tHE MAN holds special meaning since it was designed by BACH’s father, noted visual artist David Bierk. “This album artwork was started in 1978 and finished in 2024!” SEBASTIAN says.

Freedom

SEBASTIAN BACH has today (May 18) released a new video for “Freedom,” the latest track from his just-released and much-anticipated CHILD WITHIN tHE MAN (Reigning Phoenix Music) album—his first solo effort in 10 years. The new single by singer, songwriter, author, Broadway star, and actor features lyrics by SEBASTIAN BACH, music by him and John 5 (who also guests on lead guitar) with melody contributions from the album’s producer Elvis Baskette. For the video, BACH teamed up with directors Jim Louvau and Tony Aguilera (who directed the album’s three previous videos).

“This is the third record in a row with John 5 writing and playing with me,” SEBASTIAN says. “The song ‘Freedom’ is an homage to my favorite instrument…the cowbell! Which the world needs plenty more of right now!”

From the opening clip of a hearse, the dark, spooky, gothic-themed “Freedom” clip takes viewers on a creepy journey with vampires, grave diggers, gargoyles, aliens and SEBASTIAN rising from the dead (with a cowbell!), along with a sinister nightclub scene and a live band performance; be sure to stay tuned to the end for a special zombie guest star. Watch the “Freedom” video HERE. The song marks the third single from CHILD WITHIN tHE MAN, following What Do I Got To Lose?,” “Everybody Bleeds,” and (Hold On) To The Dream.”

SEBASTIAN BACH Celebrates Today’s ‘Child Within The Man’ Album Release With New Single “Freedom” And “What Do I Got To Lose?” U.S. Tour Launch

DATE: MAY 10, 2024

FROM: MARCEE RONDAN

SEBASTIAN BACH
CELEBRATES TODAY’S
‘CHILD WITHIN tHE MAN’
ALBUM RELEASE
WITH NEW SINGLE
“FREEDOM” (LISTEN HERE)
AND “WHAT DO I GOT TO LOSE?”
U.S. TOUR LAUNCH
ALBUM OUT TODAY (MAY 10)
ON REIGNING PHOENIX MUSIC

SEBASTIAN BACH has a lot to celebrate today. It’s the release day for his much-anticipated CHILD WITHIN tHE MAN (Reigning Phoenix Music) album—his first solo effort in 10 years—and tonight he’ll launch the U.S. leg of his “WHAT DO I GOT TO LOSE? TOUR.” The singer, songwriter, author, Broadway star, and actor has also released a new single “Freedom” from the album, with a video to follow in the coming days. Listen here. “Freedom” is the latest track from CHILD WITHIN tHE MAN; it follows What Do I Got To Lose?,” “Everybody Bleeds,” and (Hold On) To The Dream.”

Child Within the Man relates to the fact that rock and roll makes me feel like a kid,” BACH told Rock And Roll Globe. “The excitement of rock, the sound of it, the collecting of it, the communal vibe when you have a party or go to a concert—to me, rock and roll when it’s done right, like this album, feels like a magic elixir. Like something you can enjoy that makes you feel like a youth. The spirit of being a little kid. I can’t think of many things that do that in this world.”

CHILD WITHIN tHE MAN features guest appearances from John 5, Steve Stevens, and Oria nthi—who all co-wrote their respective tracks with BACH—and two tracks co-written with Myles Kennedy (“What Do I Got to Lose?” and “To Live Again’); Devin Bronson on guitars, Todd Kerns (bass) and Jeremy Coulson (drums) round out the players on the album. The album is available on CD (Jewelcase), cassette and double LP in a variety of color options. The album artwork holds special meaning since it was designed by BACH’s father, noted visual artist David Bierk. “This album artwork was started in 1978 and finished in 2024!” SEBASTIAN says.

Here’s some initial critical feedback for the album:

“Sebastian Bach’s latest solo album, ‘Child Within the Man,’ is a reminder that every once in a while, a man and a moment meet…the vintage-sounding album has everything that made Bach a force…it shows a fierce performer in prime fighting form…his vocals remain sharp and his songwriting talents as cunning as ever.”
ASSOCIATED PRESS (5/8)

…this is about as personal as the man who was recently disguised as a giant tiki cup on The Masked Singer has ever gotten on record…He still has the amps cranked to 11, and his heavy metal screams are straight from 1991, but now lyrics such as ‘Everybody bleeds, everybody burns, everybody drowns’ have semi-healing connotations…caterwauling guitars linked hand-in-hand with larynx-shredding vocals and an air of forced doom hanging over almost every note…Bach’s conviction to them remains undeterred, words falling out of his mouth like they’re doing so for the first time. Bach’s voice has lost none of its rage or range, even in the highest registers…”
ULTIMATE CLASSIC ROCK (5/7)

“That voice, that persona, just screams ‘rock star’, […] thankfully, and despite its introspective-sounding title, Child Within The Man is Bach at full force”
KERRANG! (UK)

“An indisputable achievement… a perfectly mastered rise to power… he has probably just released his best solo album…”

“Stand for something or ya die for nothin…”
–“(Hold On) To The Dream”

Singer, songwriter, author, Broadway star, and actor SEBASTIAN BACH has released a video for “(Hold On) To The Dream,” the latest single from his forthcoming album CHILD WITHIN tHE MAN out May 10 on Reigning Phoenix Music. Watch the “(Hold On) To The Dream” video HERE. SEBASTIAN penned the lyrics for “(Hold On) To The Dream” and he and producer Elvis Baskette wrote the melody; music is by Devin Bronson, Isaac Capenter and Baskette.

“If someone asked me to play the heaviest song I have ever recorded, in my 35 year career, I would play them ‘(Hold On) To The Dream,’” SEBASTIAN says. “This song is an homage to two of my favorite things: classic METAL of the ’70s and also YACHT ROCK as well! Hence the new term YACHT METAL! I have never heard a song quite like ‘(Hold On)To The Dream’ where the crushing verse combined with the luxurious chest-hair harmonies of the chorus. I have tried to incorporate every tone of my voice into this song. For those of you keeping score, I can tell you that my voice hits some of the highest notes of my career in ‘(Hold On) To The Dream!’ HOLD ON TO YOUR SEATS!!! CAUTION: this is a MONSTER JAM!”

INITIAL 2024 LIVE SHOWS INCLUDE FESTIVAL AND SOLO PERORMANCES IN THE U.S. AND SOUTH AMERICA

SEBASTIAN BACH—who last night was revealed to the world as “Tiki” on Fox’s The Masked Singer Group B Finals—has today released a powerful new single, “What Do I Got To Lose?” Listen here and watch the video (directed by Jim Louvau and Tony Aguilera) here.

“When I first agreed to be on the show, I thought it was mostly about comedy and costumes, which it definitely is!” SEBASTIAN says about his time on “The Masked Singer.” “But when I actually did the show, I realized that ‘The Masked Singer’ is about SINGING! Which I love to do! I had an incredible time doing the show. My favorite song that I got to do was ‘Magic’ by Pilot. The high clean tenor sound of that vocal is incredible to sing for me! It was great making new friends and getting to put on a crazy show with awesome music! Thank you to Nick Cannon and all at the Masked Singer! Would love to do it again sometime!”
