[Las Vegas, NV – OCTOBER 24, 2025] – Multi-platinum hard rock powerhouse FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH (@5fdp) is celebrating their 20th anniversary with the release of two definitive greatest hits collections: Best Of – Volume 1 (released in July) and Best Of – Volume 2 (out today). Both albums feature newly re-recorded versions of 5FDP’s biggest anthems, created in response to the sale of the original song masters—made without the band’s knowledge or opportunity to reclaim them.

Instead of remixing or remastering, 5FDP turned the setback into a positive by fully re-recording fan favorites across two volumes—both as a tribute to the songs and the fans who’ve stood with them over two decades. While honoring the originals and those who helped create them, the band brings renewed intensity to tracks like “Sham Pain,” “Blue On Black,” “Trouble,” and “Burn MF.” Together, the two collections pay respect to the past while reintroducing the music for a new era. Best Of – Volume 2 includes 16 re-recorded classics plus three previously unreleased live versions of “Wash It All Away,” “Wrong Side of Heaven,” and “Jekyll and Hyde.”

On September 5, the band announced today’s release of Volume 2 alongside a new single, “The End” featuring BABYMETAL. The song has been steadily climbing the rock charts since and is at #5 this week. BABYMETAL vocalist SU-METAL shares: “We were invited to take part in a 20th-anniversary collaboration project featuring guest artists on past songs. Five Finger Death Punch and BABYMETAL had performed at the same festival overseas back in 2015, so I was really happy thinking they might have remembered me from then. I sang Japanese lyrics inspired by the original lyrics of ‘The End,’ and spent a lot of time experimenting to find the voice that best fit such a deep, cool track. My favorite moment is the flow from ‘Negai o kakete’ into the break, where my voice is gradually engulfed by Ivan’s growl—it gave me chills. I hope listeners feel that too.”

Five Finger Death Punch is currently making history with “The End” feat. BABYMETAL – the first-ever song including Japanese lyrics to break into U.S. Active Rock radio. The track has been resonating powerfully with fans worldwide and recently had a #1 streak for several weeks on the Japanese iTunes Metal Chart. It also reached #18 on the Japanese All Genres Chart – a rare feat for an international rock release, confirming that music truly is universal.

Earlier this year, Best Of – Volume 1 led with the 2025 version of “I Refuse” featuring Maria Brink of In This Moment, which hit #1 on the rock charts in July. This move comes in response to the recent sale of the band’s original master recordings by their former label, an action made without their knowledge or the opportunity to reclaim their own work.

Founding guitarist Zoltan Bathory says: “We would have loved to have a shot at reclaiming our masters, or at least to be involved in the transaction but we found out after the fact. Surprised, but not surprised. These kinds of behind closed doors deals have become far too common in the music industry. Labels buy, sell or trade artist’s work without their knowledge or consent, reducing them to soulless commodities. But life is a chess game so when this happened to Taylor Swift, she responded by re-recording her catalog. After that respectably bold move, her fans switched to streaming the new version out of protest and loyalty. We have one of the most hardcore and loyal fan bases on the planet so I know our fans will do the same.”

Coincidentally, this year marks the band’s 20th anniversary, and they were already thinking about how to commemorate two decades worth of music, so when this curveball was thrown, they chose to turn it into something positive and powerful. The idea of a remix or remaster wasn’t enough, so the band created a completely re-recorded 2025 edition to honor the songs and the fans who have made them matter by being with Five Finger Death Punch every step of the way.

Five Finger Death Punch emphasized their respect for the original recordings and the people they made them with but are also excited to breathe new life into fan favorites like “The Bleeding” “Bad Company” and “Wrong Side of Heaven” and to share this new chapter with fans around the world.

The first offering from the 20th Anniversary Edition, in a poetic coincidence happens to be titled “I Refuse,” a fan favorite that was always meant to be a single. This reimagined, re-recorded version of “I Refuse,” now features guest vocals from Maria Brink of In This Moment—available now YouTube HERE.

“Best Of – Volume 1” will be available across all streaming platforms on July 18th, 2025, and will also be released worldwide in physical CD and vinyl formats. Fans can choose from a variety of configurations, including a standard CD and a Walmart exclusive CD. The funds will be split between two charities handpicked by Ivan Moody and Zoltan Bathory.

Ivan chose Covenant House, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping homeless, trafficked, and exploited youth and young families, in support of Youth Homelessness Awareness Month in November. With 34 locations across the Americas, Covenant House’s mission is to provide shelter, support, and comprehensive services to youth facing homelessness. Highlighting this issue, Five Finger Death Punch leveraged their platform by including facts and resources for the cause in the music video for their 2023 single “Judgement Day” – Watch it HERE. An acoustic version of the song is available as a bonus track on the digital deluxe edition of AFTERLIFE, alongside acoustic renditions of “The End,” “Thanks for Asking” and “This is the Way” (feat. DMX), marking the late rappers first No. 1 at Rock Radio.
