Country rocker CORY MARKS (@corymarksmusic) is continuing to forge his own lane with a sound that fearlessly fuses country grit with a hard rock edge. Growing up on legends like Merle Haggard and Ozzy Osbourne, it shows in his raw, high-energy style. “’Hangman’ is a gritty, hard-hitting rock anthem about defiance in the face of judgment,” says CORY MARKS. “Doing it your way knowing you’ll have the ‘gate keepers’ turning their heads, because it isn’t their seed planted or their own plan. With roaring guitars and thunderous drums, it tells the story of a condemned man walking his final mile thinking back to those western days; however, it’s more through the eyes of an artist (me) today—instead of begging for mercy, and following ‘flavor of the week’ or what’s expected to work and be commercialized he dares the hangman to meet him eye to eye and knows that if the right crowd of people gets to hear him. It’s the change and sound the people want. It’s about rebellion, justice, and going down on your own terms or…believing it will work and he will rise!”

CORY was so musically inspired by his recent European tour earlier this spring, that he decided to release a brand-new song on April 25, a musical rallying cry called “Are You With Me?” It was released as a double-single on digital outlets HERE along with “Lit Up” from SORRY FOR NOTHING that can be streamed HERE. In touring news, MARKS will head out with Sevendust this fall on their “Southside Double-Wide Tour” that kicks off November 14 in Columbia, MO. Earlier this year, MARKS made his own headlining jaunt throughout Canada, and he ventured overseas for his debut Europe and U.K. tour. He also toured the U.S. in support of Dorothy as part of their “REDEMPTION” tour, following performances with Toby Keith, Travis Tritt, and Theory Of A Deadman. Canadian country rocker CORY MARKS was so musically inspired by his recent European tour, that he decided to release a brand-new song and lyric video to today (April 25), a musical rallying cry to his fans, “Are You With Me?” via Better Noise Music. Genre-blending artist CORY MARKS is currently touring the U.S. supporting multi-Platinum rockers Theory of A Deadman through November 23. As MARKS wins over audiences with his breakthrough mix of arena-rock and roots country, he’s unveiled “(Make My) Country Rock – HARDER (feat. CORY MARKS is thrilled to announce his second full-length album SORRY FOR NOTHING will be released via BETTER NOISE MUSIC on October 11. The album offers an unapologetic double-barreled blast of 13 songs, equally divided between MARKS’ breakthrough blend of arena-rock and roots country alongside kindred spirits such as Eric Church, Zach Bryan, Hardy, and Brantley Gilbert.

MARKS has today (July 26) released the album’s no-apologies track “(Make My) Country Rock.” It notably includes features from Sully Erna of multi-platinum hard rock group GODSMACK, legendary guitarist Mick Mars (Mötley Crüe), and multi-platinum selling and award-winning country artist Travis Tritt. “(Make My) Country Rock”–produced by Andrew Baylis (Jelly Roll, Brantley Gilbert)—rallies together fans of both country and rock alike with the opening line—“I’ve been known to piss some people off / From the Sunset Strip to small town honky tonks / I’ve been behind both kinds of bars”—while its chorus proudly proclaims: “Ain’t ever gonna stop/ I’m gonna make my country rock.”
