Biography

Unapologetically modern yet influenced by the 90’s & 00’s rock eras, Velvet Chains’ relentless sound is dark and crowd-pleasing: heavy riffs, driving beats, melodic guitars and soaring vocals. With a powerful live show and a stellar lineup of musicians stemming from the USA, Brazil, and Chile, fans around the world are catching on to the band that is keeping rock n’ roll alive and relevant!

Velvet Chains was formed in 2018 in Las Vegas by bassist Nils Goldschmidt. The band’s current lineup also features lead guitarist Laurent Cassiano, drummer Jason Hope, rhythm guitarist Larry Cassiano, and lead singer Ro Viper. Since their formation, they have recorded a studio album, an EP, released several music videos, and made multiple collaborations with members of other mainstream rock bands. The band’s October 2022 six-song EP Morbid Dreams features “Last Drop” (launched by AntiMusic), “Can’t Win” (premiered by Brazil-based media outlet Terra), and “Back On The Train,” debuted by MXDWN which took note of the band’s “thunderous riffs, melodious guitars…[and] booming vocals.”
