If you know Rita D’Albert—the visionary creator, promoter, and performer—then you’re aware that she creates events and experiences like no one else. And Miss Rita is pulling out every stop to ensure that the upcoming Miss Rita’s Lucha VaVOOM “Cinco Unchained” show goes off the rails in the best possible way. Watch a preview HERE.

It’s set to explode the night before Cinco De Mayo on Saturday, May 4 in Los Angeles at Don Quixote, located at 2811 E Olympic Blvd. Miss Rita promises to set everyone free with an unforgettable evening of Mexican masked wrestling and red-hot performances. She says to expect nothing less than “Anarchy in the 213”! The doors are at 8:00pm and the show is at 9:00pm (around two hours of pure madness), to be followed by a late-night dance party with DJ Your Muther.

Tickets for this not-to-be-missed event are on sale now, here. Ticket price/tiers include General Admission (Floor at $55) and General Admission (Mezzanine at $85).

“I wanted this first show to be a tribute to the East LA roots of Cinco de Mayo as a day of celebration,” says Miss Rita. “This is going back to our roots and acknowledging L.A. as the place where so much culture originates!” The evening will include mariachis, low riders, folklorico, minis, tamales, musica, mezcal, and tequila.

Miss Rita has much more to say, so listen up:

  • “The world is on fire and here we come with some MATCHES. LUCHA matches and Red HOT dancers and everything else we can throw into the fire.”
  • “I’m a notorious L.A. proponent.  I love the culture and Los Angeles in particular is full of hidden treasures—well here’s a new one: DON QUIXOTE.  If you’ve seen Lucha VaVOOM at the Mayan, it was wonderful., and we did it a lot. We pushed the boundaries of the venue and the audience. THIS YEAR, we are celebrating Cinco at a slightly more intimate venue with all kinds of places for performers to come out into the crowd & jump off balconies and just go wild. We want to play WITH you, not AT you!”
  • “Getting there is EASY, there is ample parking, FOOD, cocktails for the non-drivers in the crowd and we get to turn Don Quixote into a big fun dance party with all of us having fun together. Different venue, but the same crazy LVV madness you know and love!!”
  • “This Cinco we’re SHAKING IT UP and bringing the celebration back to where it all started… CINCO UNCHAINED with:
  • METALIK vs BESTIA666
  • JAZMIN ALLURE: AEW, ROH, WOW & DULCE TORMENTA: AEW, ROH former THE CRASH women’s world champ(!) vs LAS COCHINAS: WOW Superstars (all-girl match for the ages)
  • Comedian BRANDON JOHNSON (Mr. Goldenfold from “Rick and Morty”)
  • PANIC CLOWN vs OJO DEL MAL vs DR MALDAD
  • JESSE CAMP will be on the mic talking to people throughout the night
  • PETER AVALON & ZOKRE vs CHE CABRERA TITO ESCONDIDO
  • LATINA DANCE-SUPERSTARS: MILA MOLINARI – CAROLINA CERISOLA – MISS MARQUEZ – NATASHA ESTRADA – VERONICA YUNE
  • Special Guest: CANDY FILLED SUPER MINI -PIÑATITA!!
  • DANCE PARTY / PIÑATA DROP – WE’RE GOING LATE AND IT’S GOING TO BE A PARTY!

  • What’s the damage? Booths upstairs w/ top notch views & a dedicated bar $75.50 (no added fees!) with standing room floor access. Standing room floor only $44.62 (no added fees!) WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU PAY!
  • Is there parking? Yes! There’s a paid lot next to the venue.

Here are Miss Rita’s plans for Miss Rita’s Lucha VaVOOM Presents “Cinco Unchained”:

What inspired you to call this show “Cinco Unchained”?

MISS RITA: “CINCO UNCHAINED” is all about breaking free and letting us get crazy together. This venue is sexy and wild—the best experiences are when we are free to shout and dance and have a collective experience with fun friends and strangers. I want everyone that joins us to lose themselves to this fun delirium.”

What can audiences expect at this Cinco de Mayo-themed show?

MISS RITA: “The magic of masked Mexican wrestling, minis, color, surprises—a confetti cornucopia of crazy.”

With the world more sideways than ever, why do you feel that Miss Rita’s Lucha VaVOOM is needed more than ever?

MISS RITA: “As an avid participant in the world and its many happenings, the best experiences are communal. Whether it’s a concert or sporting event or something spontaneous, knowing that the entire crowd is riding that same wave is the best feeling in the world. It happens organically, but I know I can put all the elements in place to bring about a joyous and delirious couple of hours.  That’s more important now than ever.”
