Los Angeles: CROSSBONE SKULLY have today (November 22) unleashed their debut album EVIL WORLD MACHINE which brought the legendary Mutt Lange (AC/DC, Def Leppard) out of retirement to executive produce the project. Released by Better Noise Music, the rock concept album echoes similar dystopian visions such as David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars and Diamond Dogs and its story will be expanded in a forthcoming graphic novel and animated film, Thing #1, due in 2025.

EVIL WORLD MACHINE was praised via Classic Rock, who gave it a 9/10 rating, saying “Mutt lives!…Mutt’s sonic fingerprints are all over the album… an AC/Lep-inspired mongrel … There’s also plenty of Def Leppard and even Whitesnake in Crossbone Skully’s DNA”.

“I’ve based this album on my heroes – AC/DC, Queen, The Who, but also The Cars and Kraftwerk,” Henriksen continues “Mutt called and told me he thought there was something there. I started crying like a baby, it was like Jesus coming back and anointing you!” he says. “Mutt has taken these songs to a whole other level. Now I don’t mind what else happens with this record.”

Led and conceptualized by Henriksen (guitarist and musical director for Alice Cooper’s band and member of Hollywood Vampires), CROSSBONE SKULLY enlisted a sterling group of supporting musicians for EVIL WORLD MACHINE including guitarist Tommy Denander, keyboardist Jamie Muhoberac (My Chemical Romance, John Mayer, Seal), bassist Chris Wyse (Hollywood Vampires, Ace Frehley, The Cult, Ozzy Osbourne), drummer Glen Sobel (Alice Cooper, Hollywood Vampires), the late UFO bassist Pete Way, mixer Olle Romo (Muse, Bryan Adams) and producer/mixer Mike Plotnikoff (AC/DC, Aerosmith). Also lighting up the album are guest features and spoken word appearances by A-list actor/musician and fellow Hollywood Vampires bandmate Johnny Depp, Alice Cooper, Phil Collen (Def Leppard), Nikki Sixx (Mötley Crüe), Joe Perry (Aerosmith), Kane Roberts, and more.

CROSSBONE SKULLY made their debut live performance on November 20, with a sold-out show at the Viper Room in West Hollywood, CA and appeared again last night, November 22 for a second sold out performance. Henriksen’s live band is rounded out by Wyse on bass, guitarists Sam Bam Koltun (Dorothy, Faster Pussycat) and Anna Cara, and drummer Alex Boch.

CROSSBONE SKULLY have teamed up with Mötley Crüe bassist and founding member Nikki Sixx on their latest track, the seriously red hot “High On You,” a song about romantic obsession with an anthemic shout-it-to-the-heavens chorus. The song and its artwork—designed by Mark Wilkinson (Iron Maiden, Judas Priest)—nods to the plight of ‘Crossbone Skully,’ the central character in a parallel mythology developed by the band’s founder and frontman Tommy Henriksen. His story is unfolded in CROSSBONE SKULLY’s upcoming debut album EVIL WORLD MACHINE, set for release on November 22 via Better Noise Music. The narrative will also expand in a forthcoming graphic novel and animated film, Thing #1, due in 2025, which features voiceovers by SIXX.

“Crossbone Skully is doing something visually unique while blending kickass riffs and great songwriting with this project,” says SIXX. “I’m excited for them and can’t wait for everyone to experience it.”

Henriksen (who’s also the guitarist and musical director for Alice Cooper’s band and member of Hollywood Vampires) says of the track: “‘High On You’ shows the taste of young, pure love…the type that gets you hooked on the bug! Love is an everlasting drug!”

CROSSBONE SKULLY’s debut album EVIL WORLD MACHINE was executive produced by the legendary Mutt Lange, who emerged from retirement just for this project.

Spoken-word appearances appear throughout the album from A-list actor/musician and fellow Hollywood Vampires bandmate Johnny Depp as the voice of “The Sorcerer,” Alice Cooper as “The Bringer of Light,” Joe Perry as “Big Bad Bone Crusher”, Nikki Sixx as “The Crooked Crow,” and Kane Roberts as “Alpha Watchman.”

The video sees CROSSBONE SKULLY, TOMMY HENRIKSEN (guitarist and musical director for Alice Cooper’s band and member of Hollywood Vampires) alongside the band’s live lineup: guitarists Sam “Bam” Koltun (Dorothy, Faster Pussycat, Budderside) and Anna Cara, drummer Alex “Thumper” Boch, and bassist Chris Wyse (Hollywood Vampires, Ace Frehley) who also contributed to the studio recording.

“Everyone’s On Dope” is the sixth new track and video from the rising rock outfit following consecutive releases “Money, Sex, or God,” “I Am The Wolf,” “The Boom Went The Boom (feat. Phil Collen),” “I’m Unbreakable,” and “Evil World Machine.” To date CROSSBONE SKULLY has garnered over 1 million streams. All tracks were executive produced by the legendary Mutt Lange (AC/DC, Def Leppard, Bryan Adams) who came out of retirement for this project. Olle Romo (Mixer), Howie Weinberg (Mastering) For the studio recording, HENRIKSEN enlisted several first-class musicians including Wyse, Nikki Sixx (Mötley Crüe), Jamie Muhoberac (My Chemical Romance, John Mayer, Seal), Tommy Denander (co-producer, songwriter, guitarist) , Glen Sobel (Alice Cooper, Hollywood Vampires), the late UFO bassist Pete Way, and additional engineer Mike Plotnikoff (AC/DC, Daughtry, Buckcherry, Aerosmith).

CROSSBONE SKULLY acts as a multidimensional project and is also the namesake of the band’s mascot and main character, an avenging superhero from outer space who’s on a mission to return to earth to save the world. His plight was shared with the launch of a graphic novel and animated film, “Thing #1,” which premiered at Fan Expo in 2023. For the film, HENRIKSEN enlisted several of his bandmates and friends for voiceovers on both the album and the upcoming film including A-list actor Johnny Depp and rock icons including Alice Cooper, Nikki Sixx, Joe Perry, Kane Roberts and Mark Wilkinson.

Rising new rock outfit CROSSBONE SKULLY have released the thought-provoking new track, Money, Sex, or God” today, May 10, via Better Noise Music. The band’s mastermind/frontman TOMMY HENRIKSEN (guitarist & musical director for Alice Cooper’s band and member of Hollywood Vampires) and guitarist Anna Cara announced the song’s release in late April following the surprise reveal of the music video for the howl-inducing song “I Am The Wolf.” Stream and/or download “Money, Sex, or God” now at https://crossboneskully.ffm.to/msg.

“The song ‘Money, Sex, or God’ was inspired by a conversation I had while watching a tv show,” elaborates HENRIKSEN. “On the show, they were saying everything always comes down to three things you should never talk about in life: financials, sexual preference, and religion. I immediately thought…well that’s easy…Money, $ex, or God. It was one of those songs where it rarely happens with me, that the lyrics just fell right out: ‘Pick your prize, what you gonna choose? / I bet you God, he’s gonna lose / But then…if it was up to me? You’re all gonna lose’… thank you, universe!”

HENRIKSEN and CARA will join listeners for the global music video premiere of “Money, Sex, or God” today at 12 P.M. ET (9 A.M. PT) via YouTube and will introduce the inspirational figure behind the band’s music, ‘Crossbone Skully’—an avenging superhero who was tasked with the mission to save humanity and fight the age-old battle of good vs evil.

Here’s a special message from Crossbone Skully: “In the chaos of life, we’re faced with choices. Between ‘Money, Sex, or God,’ beware…for in my world, you’re all gonna lose! Because the true prize lies behind the Otherworld!”

Crossbone Skully’s plight was initially shared in the ashcan comic “Thing #1” which is included and signed with all orders for the CROSSBONE SKULLY’s first offering of a series of limited-edition 7” vinyl and includes their explosive single “The Boom Went The Boom (feat. Phil Collen of Def Leppard)” and their uplifting and anthemic track “I’m Unbreakable” as its B-side. Crossbone Skully is an avenging superhero from outer space, returning to earth to save the world and reconnect with his lost deity love Piper and Kyd, the son he never knew he had. Evil World Machine is a rock concept album that echoes similar dystopian visions such as Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars and Diamond Dogs. The project, influenced by larger-than-life bands such as AC/DC, Alice Cooper, KISS, Iron Maiden and even the Sex Pistols, is the work of a collaborative team headed by veteran rock session bassist/guitarist Tommy Henriksen and Tommy Denander alongside the legendary Mutt Lange, who emerged from retirement to executive produce the project.

With a long history Henriksen has also had a successful side career as a producer/mixer/arranger and songwriter for the likes of Lady Gaga, Meat Loaf, Lou Reed, Halestorm, Kesha and Daughtry. His metamorphosis into Crossbone Skully started when Alice Cooper’s lighting man, who used to work for AC/DC, heard him singing like Bon Scott and successor Brian Johnson during a sound check–and suggested he build a solo project around it.

CROSSBONE SKULLY—the powerful new rock group led by mastermind Tommy Henriksen, guitarist and musical director for Alice Cooper’s band & member of Hollywood Vampires—are thrilled to announce a partnership with acclaimed businessman Ernie Boch Jr., President and CEO of Subaru of New England, to feature their recent hit track “The Boom Went The Boom (feat. Phil Collen of Def Leppard)” in an upcoming advertising campaign. The TV campaign is in promotion of the new 2023 Subaru WRX and will continue to air over the next three months in Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine. CROSSBONE SKULLY’s dynamic sound and captivating lyrics are highlighted across their three consecutive track releases: “Evil World Machine,” “The Boom Went The Boom (feat. Phil Collen),” and “I’m Unbreakable.” The tracks will surpass 1,000,000 combined streams this month as CROSSBONE SKULLY’s streaming success has been on an upward trajectory with a noteworthy 1,350% growth from September 2023 to January 2024. Official lyric and music videos for all three songs have to date established a combined total of over 600,000 views. CROSSBONE SKULLY has also showcased their dedication to global fans by providing translated lyric videos in Spanish, Portuguese, French, and German.

CROSSBONE SKULLY will release their debut album later this year via Better Noise Music. HENRIKSEN convinced legendary producer Mutt Lange (AC/DC, Def Leppard) to emerge from retirement to executive produce the album along with enlisting a first-class lineup of musicians and his celebrity friends and bandmates for its recording sessions. These guests included Johnny Depp, Alice Cooper, Nikki Sixx, Joe Perry, Phil Collen and Kane Roberts; along with first-class recording musicians including Tommy Denander (Alice Cooper), Jamie Muhoberac (My Chemical Romance, John Mayer, Seal), Chris Wyse (Hollywood Vampires, Ace Frehley, the Cult, Ozzy Osbourne), Glen Sobel (Alice Cooper, Hollywood Vampires), the late UFO bassist Pete Way and producer/mixer Mike Plotnikoff (AC/DC, Cher, Aerosmith).

CROSSBONE SKULLY’s live band will consist of HENRIKSEN and WYSE alongside a who’s who of upcoming talent seen in the music video for “I’m Unbreakable” in November. The additional lineup consists of guitarists Sam “Bam” Koltun (Dorothy, Faster Pussycat, Budderside) and Anna Cara—who Henriksen found after seeing her viral YouTube guitar cover videos—and Tuesdai on drums. Throughout the next few months, CROSSBONE SKULLY will release a series of limited-edition 7” vinyl singles with the first of the series having been announced, with the release of “The Boom Went The Boom (feat. CROSSBONE SKULLY—the exciting new project led by mastermind Tommy Henriksen (guitarist and musical director for Alice Cooper’s band & member of Hollywood Vampires)—shared their explosive single “The Boom Went The Boom (feat. Phil Collen of Def Leppard)” last month and are excited to return with a third new track, the justice-driven, affirmational and anthemic “I’m Unbreakable,” out November 17, digitally via Better Noise Music. “I’m Unbreakable” was recorded by Henriksen on lead vocals, guitar, bass, percussion and sound design) with Glen Sobel (Alice Cooper, Hollywood Vampires) on drums, Jamie Muhoberac (My Chemical Romance, John Mayer, Seal) on keys, Jason Roller (Ganjo), and The Hellhounds on backing vocals. HENRIKSEN reveals CROSSBONE SKULLY’s touring lineup in the live performance shot music video for “I’m Unbreakable” which premiered today, November 16, via YouTube. The live band lineup includes Henriksen and Wyse along with up-and-coming musicians including guitarists Sam “Bam” Koltun (Dorothy, Faster Pussycat, Budderside) and Anna Cara—who Henriksen found after seeing her viral YouTube guitar cover videos—along with Tuesdai on drums.

“The entire Crossbone Skully universe is built around the age-old concept of good vs evil, right vs wrong and, as a result, that concept is central to the songs of the album,” shares HENRIKSEN. “With ‘I’m Unbreakable,’ we wrote it while thinking about having confidence to know that you can win. We’re all warriors just dealing with the bullshit of everyday life that we all gotta deal with. I’m telling everyone to be strong and to believe in yourself because you are a warrior, you’ve made it this far so you must be unbreakable, remember that.”

CROSSBONE SKULLY—the exciting new multidimensional project led by mastermind Tommy Henriksen (guitarist and musical director for Alice Cooper’s band & member of Hollywood Vampires)—have today (October 6) released their incendiary new single “The Boom Went The Boom,” featuring Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen, across digital platforms. The track is the second taste of new music from CROSSBONE SKULLY’s debut album due in 2024 via Better Noise Music. Legendary producer Mutt Lange emerged from retirement to executive produce the album and was reunited with Collen on this track after having produced and co-wrote several of Def Leppard’s monumental albums. “The Boom Went The Boom” is available today digitally HERE and a lyric video highlighting its rebellious message is streaming HERE or below. A music video for the song will be premiered on Friday, October 13 which will reveal the lineup for CROSSBONE SKULLY’s live band.

Describing the new track, HENRIKSEN says: “Like dynamite beneath deceit, ‘The Boom Went The Boom’ reveals the truth’s explosive power in song, shattering masks and echoing the reckoning of lies, for when trust erodes, The Misfits Will Rise!”

“I love the Crossbone Skully record and I’ve always loved Tommy’s voice, especially as we’ve got to sing live together a few times,” shares COLLEN. “I’ve always wanted to hear that voice on something like this, so here it is, finally! I’m totally thrilled to be a part of it!”

CROSSBONE SKULLY’s debut single “Evil World Machine” was originally released on the soundtrack for the 2022 thriller The Retaliators (Better Noise Films) and its music video was premiered later that year at Fan Expo in San Francisco. CROSSBONE SKULLY also represents the band’s mascot and main character of their graphic novel and animated film, “Thing #1,” which were also revealed at Fan Expo. For the film, HENRIKSEN enlisted several of his bandmates and friends for voiceovers on both the album and the upcoming film including A-list actor Johnny Depp and rock icons including Alice Cooper, Nikki Sixx, Joe Perry and Kane Roberts.
