For “A Tiger Among Dragons,” SABATON drew upon inspiration for the song based on Lü Bu, known as the “Flying General,” one of the fiercest warriors in ancient China. During the chaos of the late Han Dynasty, he rose to legendary status with unmatched strength, insane skill with his halberd Sky Piercer and his lightning-fast horse, Red Hare. His duel at Hulao Pass, where he took on the best fighters of the era, sealed his place as a true legend. He’s the kind of larger-than-life character you want to write a song about – brutal battles, epic duels, betrayal and raw power.

“Our song ‘A Tiger Among Dragons’ has a powerful, raw energy to it, but with a more melodic edge,” says frontman Joakim Brodén. “I like to think that it tells Lü Bu’s story with intensity and emotion—it’s epic, but there’s also a sense of drama and depth that really brings the legend to life!”

Bassist Pär Sundström continues, “When Joakim showed me what he, Chris and Thobbe had been working on with this track, I immediately felt that it was a song connected to Asia. The drumming reminded me of those big shows with loads of synchronized drummers. We then needed to find an Asian legend, and although there are many, we decided on China’s Lü Bu. He was the kind of warrior who felt more like a myth than a man, and when we saw how he was projected in comics, games and such, we felt that he was deserving of an anthem. We couldn’t resist turning his legend into a song, so ‘A Tiger Among Dragons’ was born!”

For the “A Tiger Among Dragons” music video, the band wanted to create something that looked seriously epic and unmistakably SABATON. They teamed up with specialized costume designers to craft ancient Chinese armor that was inspired by the lore but was also tailored to each band member so they could play their instruments in it. Shot in Belgrade, Serbia (mostly in front of a green screen with layers of CGI and special effects included afterwards), the band is seen backing up Joakim Brodén as he inspires an ancient Chinese army. To help them, they also have two sorceresses who can summon flaming guitars from thin air, and in the end, they get a fiery ally.

“We set out to make this video completely over the top,” says the band, “and honestly, we think we nailed it!”

Throughout LEGENDS, SABATON—Joakim Brodén (vocals), Pär Sundström (bass), Chris Rörland (guitar), Thobbe Englund (guitar), Hannes Van Dahl (drums)—delve into some of history’s greatest and most loved characters such as Jeanne D’arc (also known as Joan of Arc), Hannibal, Genghis Khan, Vlad the Impaler, Julius Caesar, the Knights Templar, and the legendary swordmaster Miyamoto Musashi.

One of the best-selling Canadian bands of all time, multi-platinum band FINGER ELEVEN (@finger_eleven) have always amalgamated their musical influences into their rock mix. They acknowledge that Phil Collins and Genesis were a big melodic influence on LAST NIGHT ON EARTH, which is out today (November 7) via Better Noise Music, their first with the label and seventh album overall. FINGER ELEVEN is propelled by a fresh musical vigor. “As we were making LAST NIGHT ON EARTH, there was this feeling that we were making a big Rock record,” guitarist Rick Jackett recalls. “We had done that early in our career, and then we veered away from it. But it was time to go back and embrace that bigness of the sound. Even the soft songs sound big.”

Although FINGER ELEVEN excel at writing four-minute songs, guitarist James Black feels that the majestic “The Mountain” feels like a 7-minute epic squeezed into that time, with music as epic as the lyrics are. “The setting is a fantastical one. At its core, it’s a song about trying to find the music,” explains frontman Scott Anderson. “The ultimate search is you’re finally at the end of it. When I step back it’s talking about our own journey, but it’s dressed up in a different way. It’s the idea of just trying to find one more cool idea, and hoping it’s not the last one.”

Previously, three singles/videos have been released from LAST NIGHT ON EARTH. The title track came out September 19 (listen to “Last Night On Earth” HERE and watch the video HERE that has over 320k views), preceded by the thunderous “Blue Sky Mystery” featuring Richard Patrick from Filter on August 1. It landed the band their 11th Billboard Top 10 radio hit in Canada (listen to the song HERE and view the video HERE that has over 428k views). The high-octane “Adrenaline” (which reached the Top 20 on the Mediabase Active Rock chart) was released last year along with a video that’s logged nearly 200k views on YouTube. The song also vaulted to #2 on the Active Rock chart in Canada, where the song held strong in the Top 5 for over four months.

These new tunes explore time-honored FINGER ELEVEN concepts with fresh twists. “Adrenaline” is a rousing, intense anthem about pushing forward against adversity. “Blue Sky Mystery” is another hard-hitting rocker about being beguiled by something just out of reach. “The Mountain” rides musical peaks and valleys in its quest to chase the song, about the creative process expressed in a fantasy setting. Then there is the acoustic number “Last Night On Earth,” which tackles relationship turmoil.

Originally from Burlington, Ontario and now based mostly out of Toronto, FINGER ELEVEN have released a series of consecutive hit albums and become among the greatest live bands to ever emerge from the great White North. Their self-titled debut album broke the band into the international mainstream, achieving Gold status in the United States and Platinum in Canada, and smashing the first single, “One Thing,” across the radio and Billboard charts. FRANKY PEREZ is firing on all cylinders with his band The All Nighters. They’ll be releasing a new single and video in mid-November from their upcoming debut studio album for The Label Group/Virgin Music Group, due out in spring 2026 (exact date TBA).

FRANKY is also set for shows with his fiery and passionate band that features eight accomplished musicians including ace guitarist Christian Brady; two background vocalists; and three dancers. Now comes the news that THE FUNERAL PORTRAIT will release their first-ever live album, LIVE FROM SUFFOCATE CITY via Better Noise Music on January 16, 2026. This live video that’s taken from our Blu-ray captures that raw emotion exactly how it felt that night.”

On LIVE FROM SUFFOCATE CITY, fans are invited to step inside the chaos and catharsis of THE FUNERAL PORTRAIT’s first-ever Suffocate City Town Hall Meeting, captured live from their sold-out hometown show at The Masquerade in Atlanta, GA earlier this year. The exclusive Blu-ray documents the band’s legendary performance in front of a packed house of diehard fans. It’s a thrilling night of raw emotion, high-energy theatrics, and fan-favorite anthems including their two #1 singles on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay and Mediabase’s Active Rock radio charts: “Holy Water” (featuring Ivan Moody of Five Finger Death Punch) and “Suffocate City” (featuring Spencer Charnas of Ice Nine Kills).

“November 17th at The Masquerade was more than just a show–it was a celebration of everything we’ve built with our Coffin Crew,” proclaims Jennings. “To have it captured in full for the Blu-ray, CD, and vinyl means fans everywhere can step inside that moment. We can’t wait for the world to feel what we felt that night.”

Fans were already treated to an early glimpse of the live album with the August 22 release of the four-track DARK THOUGHTS EP. In addition to the live track, three other versions of “Dark Thoughts” are featured: the original version, a version featuring vocals by Danny Worsnop of Asking Alexandria, and a new remix of the song. The GREETINGS FROM SUFFOCATE CITY album was originally released September 13, 2024. It consists of 14 tracks of theatrical, dramatic, unapologetic, full-throated flair with guest appearances from Bert McCracken of The Used, Spencer Charnas of Ice Nine Kills, Danny Worsnop of Asking Alexandria, and Amanda Lyberg of Eva Under Fire.

The deluxe edition, GREETINGS FROM SUFFOCATE CITY – FROM BEYOND THE ABYSS: DELUXE EDITION, was released June 13 via Better Noise Music, with digital, CD, and vinyl copies available HERE. It contains 24 songs including tracks from the CASSANOVA EP and the FROM BEYOND THE ABYSS EP, as well as “Holy Water” feat. Ivan Moody of Five Finger Death Punch, “Hearse for Two” feat. Lilith Czar and three brand new songs: “Skinny Lies,” “Evergreen,” and “Lost Boy.” The vinyl and CD two-disc deluxe packages feature 21 tracks, one of which is exclusive to the physical formats (“Friends Like These”).

The album campaign for GREETINGS FROM SUFFOCATE CITY began in August 2022 with the release of “Voodoo Doll” when they were an opening band in 300-400 person venues (or smaller). MEGADETH today (October 30) have revealed the full track listing for their self-titled final album that’s due out January 23, 2026. Pre-order the album, via DAVE MUSTAINE’s Tradecraft imprint in partnership with Frontiers Label Group’s new BLKIIBLK label, HERE. The album includes “Tipping Point,” the previously released first single, and a very special bonus track: a reimagined version of “Ride The Lightning,” which MUSTAINE co-wrote with Metallica’s James Hetfield, Cliff Burton, and Lars Ulrich and was the title track from the group’s 1984 album.

“As I come full circle on the career of a lifetime, the decision to include ‘Ride The Lightning,’ a song I co-wrote with James, Lars, and Cliff, was to pay my respects to where my career first started,” MUSTAINE says.

The sonically explosive and lyrically unflinching song launches with a thunderous guitar solo before DAVE’s iconic voice hauntingly kicks in. In the desolate but hopeful accompanying video, directed by Leonardo Liberti, DAVE is locked up in a prison being tortured in extreme fashion, while the band performs in the same lock-up. Femme Fatale’s Lorraine Lewis Brings The Fire With “Bad Love” Video

Los Angeles, California: Considering they made just one album in their lifetime, Femme Fatale left one helluva mark behind them, not only on their native 80s Sunset Strip scene, but on the glam metal scene the world over.

Still fronted by the effervescent Lorraine Lewis, Femme Fatale’s first single after years out of the spotlight, “Living Like There’s No Tomorrow,” made a monster splash earlier this year; and now they’re back with “Bad Love,” a dynamite stomper that’s accompanied by one of the most incendiary videos of the year. Directed by Vicente Cordero and shot by David Hernandez, it’s a visual extravaganza that hits as hard as the song itself.

“And yes,” Lorraine confirms. “That’s real fire. We also brought in some incredible fire performers and even a real firefighter from the adult industry named Eva Angelina. Without giving too much away, let’s just say the video is HOTTT!”

Written by Lorraine, guitarist/producer Steve Brown and guitarist David Julian, “Bad Love,” she says, “is about that magnetic kind of connection you know isn’t good for you, but you keep going back anyway.

“It’s messy, it’s addictive, and it’s real. I wanted to capture that push-and-pull between desire and self-preservation. We’ve all been there. We see the red flag and still jump in headfirst… but if that red flag’s on fire? Baby, that’s your cue to run.

“I’m lucky to work with Steve,” she continues. “He is always magic. Steve and David really helped bring ‘Bad Love’ to life sonically.”

But Steve also brought in some heavy hitters for the track – the killer rhythm section of Joey Cassata on drums, and Sean McNabb on bass. Plus, what Lorraine so accurately describes as “a slaying guitar solo” from Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal.

The result is a truly pyro-powered feast for all the senses, with Lorraine looking and sounding as mesmeric as ever, and the band (with drummer Nick Mason dipping for Cassata) as electrifyingly assaultive as the song demands.

But how could they be anything else? As Lorraine say, “There’s no faking that heat”

I know this affects so many people and I am devastated to have to deliver this news. I’ve been trying everything I can to go on and do these shows, but it is just not possible. About the STRAY CATS:

The STRAY CATS are all three original members Brian Setzer (guitar, vocals), Lee Rocker (upright bass, vocals), and Slim Jim Phantom (drums, vocals). They’re the band that put Rockabilly music back on the record charts in the early ’80s, scored several big hits on both sides of the Atlantic thanks to a striking visual 1950’s style brought “up to date” with exaggerated pompadours and colorful tattoos and as well as genuine musical chops that evoked the best players of rockabilly’s original heyday.
